Dead to Sin

The apostle Paul wrote of Christ, “For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life He lives, He lives to God. Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus” (Rom. 6:10-11).

The believer’s “old man” or “old self” is what he was spiritually before he believed on Christ when he was still under sin, powerless, depraved, ungodly and even an enemy of God.

Our fallen nature was not changed at conversion. It was not annihilated, but it was “rendered inactive, made of no effect” (Rom. 6:6). Our physical body is not sinful. It is neutral and can be controlled by sin or by the Holy Spirit. It was controlled by sin before we trusted Christ for salvation.

“In Jesus Christ we died to sin, and the old nature was crucified so that the old life is rendered inoperative.” This is a great fact for the believer to rely upon.  Now that we have died with Christ the power of controlling sin is broken and is rendered powerless or ineffective (Rom. 6:3-5).

There is a change in relationship with God and sin. Because of this new living union with Christ the believer now has a new relationship with God and different attitudes toward sin. Sin is no longer his master. Christ is the new master. We no longer want to continue in sin. Now because we are in Christ we have a choicer whether we choose to sin, or choose to obey our new Master.

In our unregenerate state we were slaves to sin. Now that our old self was crucified with Christ we have been delivered from this slavery. “Anyone who has died has been freed from sin.” We have been declared righteous, “freed,” with the result that sin no longer has the legal right to force us into its slavery. Sin no longer is the master of the believer because he has died with Christ and risen with Him “knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with so that we would no longer be slaves to sin” (Rom. 6:6).

Not only did Christ die for me, but I died with Him. That is my new identification. I am no longer identified with the first man, Adam, but with the Second Man, Christ. Christ paid my sin debt and broke sin’s power over me. By His substitution for me on the cross Christ charged my account with His own imputed righteousness. By identification with me He imparted or made that righteousness a part of my daily life. Justification is also a living relationship with Jesus Christ. It is a justification that brings life. I am in Christ and identified with Him and whatever happens to Christ now happens to me. When Christ died, I died. When He rose from the dead I arose in Him. It is now a fact that I am now seated with Christ in the heavenlies (Eph. 2:5-6Col. 3:1-3).

The believer is “dead to sin.” “I am crucified with Christ.” In Jesus Christ we have died to the power of sin so that we no longer want to continue in sin. It is no longer our master. Before we were saved we had a cordial relationship in which we were fully yielded to and dependent upon that sinful nature. We were under the control of the power of sin. It was our habit of life. We are now alive in Christ. Christ raised us up from the dead and now we walk in the power of His resurrection. The issue is the believer no longer chooses to continue in a cordial, dependent fellowship in sin.

The death of Christ not only paid our penalty of sin, but God also used it to break the power of indwelling sin in our life.

The Christian is under no compulsion to live his life under the control of evil nature again. We remain a free moral agent capable of choosing good and evil, but it is impossible for the Christian to habitually sustain a relationship to evil which he sustained before he was saved.

The Christian now has the authority and the power to say no to sin. You do not have to obey the sin nature. You now have a divine nature you can choose to respond to which is alive in Christ. You are free to choose. You do not have to do what you do not want to do. You can be as holy as you choose to be.Selah!

No One can Hurt Your

No one can hurt your feelings without your consent. No one can make you angry, disappointed, intimidated, or jealous.

Substitute any reactive emotion with the wisdom, strength and self control of The Holy Spirit. Whatever it is, no one can afflict you with it without your consent.

You can choose to see things differently when you depend upon The Holy Spirit to open your eyes to Jehovahs meaning instead of societies or your own faulty reasoning. It’s the only one you’ll ever need.

The people we interact with become how we treat them, more than we’d like to admit. That is why wicked company corrupts godly souls while godly souls mould us more into Christs character.

Where there are no boundaries in life, there is no respect for either you nor those around you. Joseph a son of Jehovah

May The Holy Spirit keep you from the wicked who drag you into the pig mire and guide you to the godly who help you transform into a beautiful child of Jehovah Joseph a son of Jehovah

The Same Thing as A

A man who makes a vow to the Lord or makes a pledge under oath must never break it. He must do exactly what he said he would do. Numbers 30:2 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

A pledge is the same thing as a contract.

A contract can be verbal as well as written.

It can be between friends, or family as well as an employer. When you make a pledge to do something or not do something you should work your hardest to fulfill that pledge to the letter.

Anything else is a lie and Jehovah detests liars. Jehovah takes your word seriously, so you better as well.

The Lord detests lying lips. Proverbs 12:22 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

A man or woman is only as good as their word. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Now if circumstances beyond your control happen and you cannot fulfill the pledge that is forgivable.

Prayer: Please Holy Spirit El Emunah (Deuteronomy 7:9 The Faithful GOD ) bless me with the wisdom of when to say yes and when to say no. Please bless me with the fortitude to let my word be law in my life. I deeply implore this of You in the name of He whose word is the supreme law, Jesus Christ. Amen

May the light of Christs love shine brightly in your heart today and every day Joseph a son of Jehovah

Leave It in His Hands.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Proverbs 3:5-6 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

Being independent is satans trick to get us to plunge ourselves into painful failures and distance ourselves from Jehovah Joseph a son of Jehovah

In my infancy in Jehovahs family it was exceedingly difficult to trust in Jehovah and leave it in His hands. It is inherent in the fleshly family to be fiercely independent, which of course leads to many unnecessary disasters and hard times. It took many years and suffering to finally surrender it all to Him.

Even now, even though I know this is the right thing to do , sometimes it takes great battles to surrender my will to His.

There is great battle, which the weapons of Christ is memorizing Bible verses and intense prayer. These are guaranteed to bring victory to the soul, mind and spirit of every Christian.

When You give your problem unto Jehovah, leave it in His hands. Trust Him that He will do what is right, not what you want.

There is no sense in asking Him for His advice if you insist on not waiting for Him but going out and doing what you think is right. That always leads to disaster. Joseph a son of Jehovah

The other problem with depending upon yourself is that it lulls you into the false sense of security in your own intellect and physical prowess. This causes us to refuse to include Jehovah in our daily living. This only leads to catastrophe.

Self achievement brings a false sense of assurance that somehow we can live a pure life in our own ability. This attitude ultimately leads us to cut ourselves off from the heart of God and, in turn, to deny our true identity in Christ.” David Edwards

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah for blessing me with sending me The Holy Spirit Elohim Ozer Li (Psalms 54:4 GOD My Helper) to help guide me along the trail of life You have chosen for me to travel. May it always glorify Your name and help guide others along the path You have chosen for them to travel. I praise You in the name of He who obeyed You all the way to the path that lead to Calvary Jesus Christ. Amen

May Gods sunshine always bless you with brightening your day along the path He has chosen for you to walk with His love, joy and peace. Joseph a son of Jehovah

I am Vindicated.

DEVINE COVENANT

And you shall know [with an understanding based on personal experience] that I am the Lord; For they shall not be put to shame who wait and hope expectantly for Me. Isaiah 49:23 Holy Bible Amplified Version

Have you ever experienced confirmation from Jehovah from a Bible Verse or from Christians councilors of a certain event that is going to occur in your life?

I have.

Everybody laughed at me and informed me it was certain failure to attempt to follow Christs lead. In all honesty when this first began I doubted myself the outcome. In due course of time Christ did indeed accomplish in me and through me His Divine purpose in my life and through my life.

Now when my Beloved informs me of an impossible occurrence that will happen in my life I have confidence in His providential completion of it. The wonderful thing though, is that He never does it in a predictable manner. I believe this is so no one can claim it is just a coincidence. I always laugh and say: “ You are truly an awesome God and Your ways are so much higher than mine my Love.” with reverential love and joy.

I believe Jehovah does the impossible in strange ways to remind us of just how awesome He truly is. Joseph- Anthony: Green

Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses]. Hebrews 11:1 Holy Bible Amplified Version

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah-Rohi ( Jesus is our Divine Shepherd ) for the amazing manner in which You have led and helped this sheep of Yours to accomplish incredible things for the glory of Your kingdom and the enlargement of it through those You have blessed me with guiding them unto You. I glorify You in You magnificent name. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

One of the Most Harmful Habits.

“There can be no doubt that possessive clinging to things is one of the most harmful habits in the Christian life. Because it is so natural, it is rarely recognized for the evil that it is. But its outworkings are tragic.” A. W. Tozer

At one time I worked a lot of overtime and invested my money according to the advice of financial planners (Be careful of them. They are not all good as I sadly found out). I lived a very frugal lifestyle just to save up for a comfortable early retirement. Alls I lived for was to stash money away to make that baby grow. Sadly events occurred that wiped me out not once but three times. I felt totally devastated and if the world had literally ended. Each time I wanted to give up but went right back to it again. During this time my Bible gathered dust and the only time I talked with my beloved was when I wanted something from Him. Our relationship was on life support. When things crashed I went to Him but when the new nest egg stared growing I deserted Him for the nest egg. What a pitiful life it was. It was one of the most harmful habits that could exist in anyones life.

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Matthew 6:33 Holy Bible, New King James Version

Finally, when I had nothing left I surrendered unto the Holy Spirit. Through decades (talk about a slow learned huh) He taught me to be submissive and obedient unto Jehovah’s calling in my life. Yes it has been hard but that was a blessing because it has brought us ever closer together. The harder the times the closer it brings me to Jehovah. Joseph- Anthony: Green I have a deep respect, love and admiration for my Beloved Father, King and Holy Teacher. This is the greatest treasure of all. Through it all He has always provided fro my needs (not wants which is fleshly).

“I will place no value on anything I have or may possess, except in relation to the kingdom of Christ.” David Livingstone

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah-Jireh (God is our Provider) for Your daily provision which You graciously bless me with. I thank You in the name of He whose cherished sacrifice made this possible Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

He Hears You.

O You who hear prayer. Psalm 65:2 New King James Version

When you pray you are not praying to a dead idol made of wood or metal or some make believe fellow like Santa Claus or to dead souls, like the saints. That is foolishness.

Instead with reverence, love and sincerity pray to the living God whose throne is in Heaven.

He hears your cry when suffering sorrow. He blesses you with answers that give reassurance and healing.

He hears your cry when you need help. He answers with protection and resources to conquer your adversary.

He hears your cry when you are alone and feel dejected. He blesses you with filling you with His Divine love, comfort and encouragement. He hears your cry when you need guidance in your life. He blesses you with resources and guidance councilors to show you the path you must take.

He hears your cry when you are remorseful He not only forgives you but guides you in the proper manner to reconcile with the one you have done wrong. This blesses you with peace in your spirit.

He hears your cry when you need to learn something. He blesses you with wise teachers and mentors that reveal the knowledge you need.    And of course it is with pure delight he hears your song of praise for His love. To Him that is the sweetest song that ever exists. Of course when we are in a loving relationship we delight in sharing with the one we love how much we love them.

He cherishes your prayer of thank you when He blesses you. That is the respectful thing to do is it not? When you help someone does it not feel good when they thank you? How much more than should we thank our Beloved Father in Heaven when He blesses us?

GOD LOVES YOU

You do not need to make an appointment and he is never too busy. Jehovah is always there, Jehovah always cares. Joseph- Anthony: Green

When you continuously continue in a weakness (like being short tempered) He does not become exasperated with you and give up on you. When you honesty are repentant and humbly ask for forgiveness He will forgive you and thousand times a thousand.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Heseh (God is love) for being such a loving Father to this cherished child of Yours. Thank you for Your blessings of Your Hoy love, strength, wisdom, comfort and encouragement as Your never end provisions. I praise You in the name of Your most special blessing Your Holy Son Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sweet sunshine of Jesus’ beautiful love bless you today and every day.

They were but Flesh.

For He remembered that they were but flesh. Psalm 78:39 New King James Version

Being of the flesh means we all have weaknesses and weak moments.

Occasionally we all give in to sinful desires. Come on now, have we not all bought something we could not afford and then regretted it later? Or how about the times when the mouth is in action before the brain is in gear and we say something we regret later?

Some call it human weakness.

As well we all have our weaknesses built into us from heredity, it is in our genes. So in some families alcoholism is heredity (which is why it is important to know your family roots and to teach them to your children).

Let Your tender mercies come to me, that I may live. Psalm 119:77 New King James Version

Do not allow the devil to deceive you into believing that when you sin Jehovah is mad at you and He rejects you and you lose your salvation. Do not allow the devil to con you into believing the lies that you must perform some act to be forgiven (like in the catholic church with their praying to beads or saying hail Maries).

You need to approach our loving Father in Heaven confess what you did, admit it was wrong and ask for forgiveness. Do it in the name of Jesus whose sacrificial blood has cleansed you of your sins when you repent.

Repent means to admit what you did. Admit it was wrong. And, when applicable make amends for the damage your sin has caused others.

If in your sin you have wronged someone you need to repeat this process with them.

A benefit of this is a healing in your spirit that washes away a guilt conscience. You will not have ulcers nor problems with sleep.

Repentance is as good for you as it is to the offended. Joseph- Anthony: Green

You do not need a physiatrist to tell you this. You need Jesus. You do not need to give your guilt to a physiatrist (and how many of them give you pills instead of dealing with the real issues?).

OBEDIANCE

You need to make it right with Jehovah.  Do not give excuses (the satanic ritual practiced by the world of not my fault it is societies fault or my parents fault or any one else’s fault. You are the one that committed the sin, you are responsible for it.) so just fess up and apologize for your sin. Make amends where it is appropriate. The offended soul may not forgive you but your conscience is clear before Jehovah.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah-M’Kaddesh (The Lord is my Sanctifier) for blessing me with forgiveness for my sins when I am weak and surrender to them and then sincerely repent of them. I exalt You in the name of he whose precious blood made this possible Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sweet sunshine of Jesus’ beautiful love bless you today and every day.

How to Beat the Sneak.

Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time. Luke 4:1 New King James Version

Satan is sneaky.

He does not charge into your mind, he is subtle and begins with just little thoughts. Then they become cemented into your mind and grow like cancer. Eventually they will consume you and you commit a sin.

To effectively defeat this creep use the best and only weapon available to you to soundly defeat him very time.

Carry a Bible verse with you constantly and when the scumbag comes just pull out that verse and with power and authority shove it tight down his throat. Then for the finale inform him that you belong to Jesus so just take a hike. Say it with conviction.

Thoughts become habits so surround yourself with Godly thoughts.

To accomplish this listen to sermons on sermonaudio.com (I like to listen to Allister Begg, A.W. Tozer and Spurgeon.) every day, read Christian devotionals like http://www.actsweb.org and Our Daily Bread listen to Christian radio like http://www.joyfmonline.org and http://www.praise1065.com.

THE LORD WILL ANSWER

Pray to Jesus to reveal to you your bad habits and the method of defeating them.

Sometimes they are too strong for you and can only be defeated by completely surrendering them to Jesus.

As well think of the things that are triggers and avoid them like the plague. So if you are an alcoholic you need to avoid your drinking buddies and do not even walk down the streets with the bars you used to hang out at.

That is what happened to me with my addiction to alcohol. It was too strong for me and the only way to defeat it was through completely surrendering it to Christ. It was defeated that instant.   That does not mean that satan does not still try his sneaky little tricks but I have the protection of the Holy Spirit to resist him.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Yeshua (God our protector) for the most powerful protection against the most devious liar and thief Lucifer. Your most awesome protection of this child that belongs to You has rescued me from the Highway to Hell and leads me on the difficult Pathway to Heaven. I in deep gratitude extol You in the name of my strong King who defeated our nemesis once and for all on the cross Jesus Christ . Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
