Jesus Christ Gives Abundant Life

Abundant Life!

Abundant life as Jesus described it is the life of God Himself.

God places the new spiritual life within the individual the moment he responds to God’s grace and believes on Christ as his personal Savior.

That is the beginning of a new life for one who was spiritually dead in trespasses and sins.

Jesus said, “I am come that you may have life, and keep on having it in abundance” (John 10:10b). The abundant life is a growing thing. It is the increasingly abundant present life of the believer that is emphasized.

God plants His life in the person who hears the Word of God and believes. The born again believer increasingly enters into the experience of the new spiritual life by believing and yielding to Christ. It is like a spring of water that perpetually springs up in an abundant flow from resources deep within. The Christian is to live in an abundant way of life now.

Are you living in God’s abundance? You can be a Christian and miss the abundant life. God invites you to enter into it increasingly as you trust in Jesus to change your life daily.

This overflowing life is Christ living His life out in you as you make yourself available to Him and trust Him to new areas of spiritual growth.

As the believer yields to the Holy Spirit he realizes that God’s grace and power is sufficient for every genuine need in our lives. The life of abundance comes from this awareness that nothing can suppress God’s grace.

Salvation in Jesus Christ is not a fire insurance policy. It is life—God’s kind of life—given to everyone who believes on Christ. It begins in the moment of spiritual birth, or regeneration. We have the privilege of participating in the divine nature (2 Pet. 1:4). What began in the spiritual birth will go on forever. It is eternal and indestructible because God is. Instead of a static life, our new relationship with God is continually entering into that life that possesses all the qualities of God. Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned, he has crossed over from death to life” (John 5:24).

If “eternal life” could be lost, renounced or taken away from us it would not be eternal. It would be as temporal as our physical life. It would not be the eternal life that God gives.

God is sovereign and He is eternal. Therefore, His gifts cannot be withdrawn. Since He has given us eternal life, that life is eternal life. We have confidence that we shall be glorified with our Lord.

Have you entered into that great love and provision of God? When you do your face will shine and your heart will be full of joy because of the indwelling of Christ.

If we will allow Him to lead us to the fullness of the Christian life we will find our table in His presence prepared, our heads anointed with His pure oil, and our cups overflowing with His wine of joy.

We will know God’s love and abundance not only for today, but for eternity.

The abundant life assures us that we can experience God’s blessings in this life and heaven, too. We can enter into the fullness of our great salvation today, and we will experience God’s goodness forever.

Philippians 4:19 says, “My God shall supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” The person who enters into this new, abundant life in Christ shall not lack any good thing.

Have you entered into the perfect peace of knowing that God is equal to every emergency and crisis you face? Have you experienced the fullness of His presence in you everyday life experiences? Do you allow Him to break in upon your awareness anytime He so chooses throughout the day?

The life He gives is overflowing in rising waves of a spiritual tide. It is like a river overflowing its banks in which nothing can suppress it. God’s favor toward us is unending because He gives a genuine unending supply.Selah!

A New Creation, Not Yet Perfect

“The believer is a new man, a new creation, but he is a new man not yet made perfect,” observes John Murray.

The born again believer still has to deal with indwelling sin. He still sins even though he is growing in Christ likeness and is the subject of the progressive sanctification of the Holy Spirit.

The believer is being transfigured into the image of the Lord Jesus Christ from glory to glory (2 Cor. 3:18).

The emphasis the apostle Paul makes in Romans 6:141718-20 is there has been a radical change in the believer’s relationship to sin.  It is true that the believer still sins, but he is no longer a slave to sin.  Sin no longer reigns as in the condition of the old man, the unregenerate person.  Romans 7:14-25 teaches us that sin still remains in the believer’s mind, affections, and will.  Slavery to sin is broken.  But as Romans 6:6Ephesians 4:20-24, and Colossians 3:9-10 brings out the struggle in the heart of the very believer.

Herman Bavink said, “The spiritual struggle which the believers must conduct is between the flesh and the spirit, between the old and the new man, between the sin which continues to dwell in the believers and the spiritual principle of life which has been planted in their hearts.”

If the old nature has been “crucified” and “laid aside,” how can one say the believer still has an old nature?

Christ’s death took the form of a Roman crucifixion. The apostle Paul says the believer is “crucified with Christ” and is “dead” as a result of this action just as Christ after His crucifixion. Just as Christ was definitely dead so is the believer in his vital union with Christ is dead to sin. “For the death he died, he died to sin once for all, but the life he lives, he lives to God” (Romans 6:10 NET).

But the finality of death is not the only thing Paul stresses about our relationship with Christ. Drawing on the symbolism of baptism by immersion in water Paul says, “Therefore we have been buried with him through baptism into death, in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too may live a new life” (Romans 6:4 NET). It is not a physical death and burial in regard to the believer, but forensic and positional. Paul has in mind our new position in a vital union with Christ. This is an act of God. We have a new relationship with Him. We have been placed in a new unchanging position. This is the way we exist in God’s sight. We are no figment in His imagination. This is the greatest of spiritual realities.

Believers are to “consider yourselves dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus” because this is the great reality of our spiritual lives (6:10).

This status or position before God has vital significance and power in our daily life. We draw power and resources from this unchanging position.

Paul is describing the whole man and the change in our relationship.  We have a new position.  The contrast Paul is bringing out in these passages is not a change in our nature, but a change in relationship.  Our old man is the old unregenerate self.  The new person is the new regenerate self.

Because of this spiritual regeneration brought about by the Holy Spirit in our hearts, we are new creatures in Christ.  As a result we have a new relationship with Christ and a new position before God the Father.

It is the believer’s responsibility to cooperate with the Holy Spirit in obeying the Word of God and overcoming temptation.

The true believer knows he needs Christ every day.  He knows he must guard and keep his heart every day until he sees Christ is glory.  When he sins he flees to Christ, His advocate.  God had begun a new work in the believer, but that work is not yet perfect.

The Christian lives in both Romans chapters seven and eight.  The Christian life is an increasing dynamic repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Every day we increasingly depend upon the blood and the righteousness of Jesus Christ to cover all our sins.  We love Him more and more every day.

Our sense of repentance deepens as we discover more sins that need to be put to death.  Like the apostle Paul, we cry out daily in our mourning, “I am carnal.”  But daily we also rejoice in the great truth, “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”  We die to sin daily, and we live to righteousness daily.  By the inner working of the Holy Spirit, we “put to death the deeds of the body that we might live.”  This is daily responsibility.  Daily the inner man or “self” is being renewed day by day.

Romans 7:14-8:4 is the inner battle against remaining sin and imperfect obedience to God’s Word.  It is the work of the Holy Spirit leading the believer into deeper repentance, increased holiness, and a greater dependence upon the finished work of Jesus Christ.

There will be a day when repentance will be no more, but that day has not arrived.  Until that day arrives, we need to deepen our repentance and increase our faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.Selah!

The More Physically

The more physically wealthy you are the more spiritually and morally bankrupt you are. Joseph- Anthony a son of Jehovah

Thank you Jehovah Tsidkenu

I will be careful to live a blameless life— when will you come to help me? I will lead a life of integrity in my own home. Psalms 101:2 The Holy Bible, The New Living Testament

Integrity: adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty.

To me home represents the heart.

Every day I pray for the Holy Spirit to help me speak and behave like my idol Jesus Christ in all I say and in all I do.

Society says that righteousness is like shifting sand. It is open to interpretation. What is right for you may not be right for me but I will respect your right to live like that. What an idiotic way to have a disfunctioning society, which is what we see today.

A Christian says they will stand upon the principals that Jehovah teaches us through His Word, the Bible. He brings this enlightenment to us through the mentoring of the Holy Spirit.

Now of course satan and by extension society, will try anything to destroy that with temptations of lust, political correctness, which is satanic, and suffering because we will not surrender our Godliness morals.

We of course have an undefeatable super weapon to help us live a victorious Godly life. His name is the Holy Spirit and He is just a call away when we request our Heavenly Poppa sent Him to help us.

But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means. 1 Corinthians 2:14 The Holy Bible, The New Living Testament

“He said not: “Thou shalt not be tempted: Thou shalt not be travailed:|Thou shalt not be afflicted.”But he said:”Thou shalt not be overcome.”” Julian of Norwich

God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. Psalm 18:30 The Holy Bible, The New Living Testament

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Tsidkenu (The Lord is Righteousness I Corinthians 1:30 ) for blessing me with sending the Holy Spirit to mentor me to live a righteous life and the strength and perseverance to do so every day. I praise You in the name of the most Righteous of all Jesus Christ. Amen

May you be blessed with plenty of learning opportunities at the feet of the best mentor, The Holy Spirit. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Thank You For Your

The earth is full of the loving kindness of the Lord. Psalms 33:5 The Holy Bible, The Amplified Version

Thank you Jehovah Tsuri (Psalms 19:14 O LORD My Strength) for Your supreme strength that You bless me with through out the day to accomplish the tasks You have assigned for me to do.

Thank you for Your ultimate power to smash the destructive chains of mental, physical and spiritual imprisonment in my life.

Thank you that You are closest to me when the storms are their fiercest and the flames are their hottest.

Thank you for You gentle loving care when deep sorrow and pain are crushing down upon me. You love gently lifts me up.

Thank you for Your sharing Your beauty with me both amazing ones like watching the Northern Lights and delicate ones like watching the gentle swirling ballet of a winters snowfall.

Thank you for the awesome moments when we commune together, just being together. I love the overwhelming experience of Your love and being in harmony with You.

Oh, my Beloved Father, Your daily blessings upon me are too numerous to count.

I am humbled and grateful for Your overwhelming loving kindness and graciousness towards me.

I thank You in the name of Your greatest gift to me, Jesus Christ. Amen .

There is No Sense Learning Them

As I learn your righteous regulations, I will thank you by living as I should! Psalm 119:7 The Holy Bible The New Living Translation

Righteous: acting in an moral way and virtuous manner ( Moral: founded on the fundamental principles of right conduct rather than on legalities, enactment, or custom, concerned with the principles or rules of right conduct or the distinction between right and wrong; ethical) ( Virtuous: conforming to moral and ethical principles; morally excellent; upright ) Dictionary. com

We are to be grateful for the blessing of being adopted into Jehovahs family.

The best manner of doing this is to live as He desires us to be. To accomplish this we must emulate Christs demeanour.

We need the Holy Spirit to teach us morality (although we all know right from wrong in its basics, He takes us ever deeper into it). As well as the tools to live it out in our daily life. As this new creation in Christ takes form in our mental, physical and spiritual being we become more and more virtuous.

This is not a one off experience but rather a lifetime commitment.

I have been following Christ for decades and He is still transforming me.

We are a work in progress all the way up to Heavens Gate where Christ will perfect us into the beautiful creation Jehovah intends for s to be. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Now, to the world that walks in darkness, this is extremely offensive. It is great to see someone walk with these qualities as long as they do not step upon that individuals toes.

When you are welcomed into Jehovahs family, you will be bitterly rejected by satans family including your family and old friends. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Believe me I have had plenty of experience where the very same man or woman that commends me for behavior with another becomes extremely offended and offensive when the same situation happens between them and me.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Tsidkenu (Jeremiah 23:6 The LORD Our Righteousness( for blessing me with teaching me Your inflatable righteousness and guiding me in the manner in which to incorporate it into my daily life. Thank you for helping me live this life even when it goes against the current of the politically correct in this world. I know Your righteousness leads to a more secure and better life that leads all the way to the Heavenly home You have lovingly prepared for me. I exalt You in the name of He who I love to emulate in righteous living Jesus Christ. Amen

May Christ bless you with love, joy and peace today and every day. Joseph a son of Jehovah

So Too is it With

Because I am in Christ [that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior], I am a new creature [reborn and renewed by the Holy Spirit]; the old things [the previous moral and spiritual condition] have passed away. Behold, new things have come [because spiritual awakening brings a new life]. 2 Corinthians 5:17 The Holy Bible, The New Living Testament Version

WE MUST LET GO

Have you ever seen them graft one tree into another?

I have always found that fascinating. The grafted part becomes a part of the tree. It depends upon it for sustenance. Indeed, if it was a different species it now becomes a new one.

So too is it with our relationship with Christ.

The moment we accept Him as our Saviour, King and best friend He begins grafting us into one of His own. We depend upon Him for our mental, physical and spiritual health.

The things that once fascinated us soon become repugnant and repulsive to us.

Now, we have become more like Him we have the same disposition as Him and the same fancies.

This is strange to those on the outside and so they mock us. That is to be expected because those on the out side mocked Jesus as well.

The Holy Spirit is the best make over artist of all Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Bore (Isaiah 40:28 The LORD Creator ) for blessing me with grafting me into You most beautiful holy family. I thank you in the name of He whose blood made it all possible Jesus Christ. Amen

Why We Need To.

All the Holy Writings are God-given and are made alive by Him. Man is helped when he is taught God’s Word. It shows what is wrong. It changes the way of a man’s life. It shows him how to be right with God. It gives the man who belongs to God everything he needs to work well for Him. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 The Holy Bible, The New Life Version

GODS GUIDEBOOK

This is why we need to remember the Bible: The Bible is Jehovahs word. It is how He speaks to us.

It is like poppa directing every aspect of our lives to be children worthy to be called His treasured children.

Remember the things of long ago. For I am God, and there is no other. I am God, and there is no one like Me. Isaiah 46:9 The Holy Bible, The New Life Version

Reading the Bible every day reminds us of how Jehovah was faithful to those who belong to Him in the past. With this knowledge we are confident He will always be faithful to us.

Now for those of us that walked with Him for a while we need to recollect how He has been faithful in the past in our lives and share these encouraging events with those who are weak and new to the Walk.

When He had given thanks, He broke it and said,“Take this bread and eat it. This is My body which is broken for you. Do this to remember Me.” 1 Corinthians 11:24 The Holy Bible, The New Life Version

Reading of Christ’s crucifixion should bring tears to our eyes. Tears of gratitude for such an amazing sacrifice on our behalf. We should be thanking Him every single day. We also need to thank Him that because of His resurrection, we have been resurrected from the physical to the Heavenly Spiritual. We have been changed from suffering in the world which only leads to death to the glorious eternal communion with the Heavenly trinity which has prepared an awesome home for us.

“Can a woman forget her nursing child? Can she have no pity on the son to whom she gave birth? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you. See, I have marked your names on My hands. Your walls are always before Me. Isaiah 49:15-16 The Holy Bible, The New Life Version

Reading the Bible helps us remember that no matter how terrifying the storms or dark the day, He has not forgotten us. Indeed, He is walking with us through it all. Reading the Bible every day helps us to have confidence that Jehovah is using these experiences to mould us to be the holy children He created us to be.

The Helper is the Holy Spirit. The Father will send Him in My place. He will teach you everything and help you remember everything I have told you. John 14:26 The Holy Bible, The New Life Version

Reading the Bible helps us remember that we have a Divine Helper who loves us and only wants what is best for us, we need only be attentive and obedient unto His voice.

Again, as we mature in the Walk, we become metamorphosed with the Holy Spirit. He is as much a part of us as our heart or lungs. We need to use these experiences to comfort and encourage those that are not as mature as us.

Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105 The Holy Bible, The New Life Version

We live in a very dark world, how else are we to follow the light to our Heavenly home without reading the words that come from the Light to Heaven every day. Joseph a son of Jehovah

follow your ways

Prayer: I thank You Jehovah El Emeth (Psalms 31:5 LORD GOD of Truth) for blessing me with the most nutritious breakfast, snack through out the day and bed time snack before laying down to sleep, Your Holy Word, the Bible. It nourishes my mental, physical and spiritual well being as well as helps me continue to grow into the beautiful child You intend for me to be. I praise You in the name of He who always provided the best feast for His disciples, Jesus Christ. Amen

Whatever is beautiful, whatever is meaningful, whatever brings you joy, may you be blessed with an abundance of it this every day this year. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Why Would He Not?

HOPE IN THE LORD

But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:3 The Holy Bible New Living Translation

Jehovah loves you. Why would He not protect you from the evil one?

Why would He not strengthen you from the wicked one?

Come to think about it, why would He need to strengthen me from the evil one if He is going to protect me from Him? Could it be because there are some battles we are not strong enough to fight and win that that is the reason He protects us from the wicked one.

But, on the other hand sometimes we need to stand up to bullies on our own in order to grow so He will bless us with mental, spiritual and physical strength to defeat the wicked one when he comes a looking for a fight. That is why we need to depend upon Him for His discretion on which one He will bless us with and faith that He will.

Jehovah knows when to protect us and He knows when to strengthen us to always defeat our foes on our own. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Elohe Mauzi (Psalms 43:2) – GOD of My Strength for Thy unbeatable strength that protects me from the wiles of satan.                                                                                                           Thank you for blessing me with the the strength that comes from Your wisdom and encouragement to defeat satan one on one. Thank you for You Divine protection from the wiles of the wicked one when they are too great for me to handle on my own.                                                                                              I praise You in the name of He who smacked satan down hard every time they engaged in combat Jesus Christ.
