Wait For His Timing

Patience is not my forte.

It is not necessarily that I want it know but rather that many times with Jehovah it has taken Him years where as I only want it to take weeks.

There are so many times I was frustrated and wanted to quit but prayed for the strength to continue on. Jehovah has always abundantly provided it for me.

There has been numerous times I have tried so hard only to fail in trying to perfect myself.

Like a patient Father Jehovah lifts me up and gently continues to guide me on my way

When I reflect back on my walk with Christ I must confess I was a bit arrogant and impatient in becoming one of His children. It is a lifetime process.

Even now after many decades I find myself impatient at times.

I can think of when Jehovah revealed to me when He wanted me to do something and I wanted to start right away. Thankfully I waited for His timing (I learned that the hard way) and it has happened a year from when He showed me the task He had prepared fro me to do.

“Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections but instantly set about remedying them every day begin the task anew.” Francois de Sales

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Hosanna (God is my maker) for being so patient with me in burning off the dross of my life while guiding me to the tasks You have predestined for me to accomplish for You with Your magnificent help. Thank Him For Breaking Your Heart.

 

I am feeble and utterly crushed.  I groan in anguish of heart Psalm 38:7-9 New International Version

I used to be very spiteful and hold a grudge a long time. You did not want to cross me.

Then through an excoriating process that took years of heart ache and Christian counseling I learned to let go.

Now I have learned the wisdom of forgiving (that does not mean you do not hold those accountable for what they did) and leaving justice in Jehovahs hands. Sometimes it is still difficult and that is when I earnestly pray for the strength and wisdom to follow Jehovahs way of doing things

I have learned that He provides plenty of opportunity for those to repent and if they refuse His hand is very heavy on the perpetrators.

Meanwhile, I have a heart filled with peace, love and joy.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Ropheka (God our healer) for blessing me with healing many deep painful cuts others have caused in my heart. Thank you for depending upon You to always make things right. Who Has a Praying Friend

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. James 5:16 New International Version

I have been on both ends of this equation.

There have been numerous times when a brother or sister has requested that I pray for them and my prayers have been answered.

There has been many times when I faced uncertainty and danger. I asked my brothers and sisters to pray for me and their prayers have been answered.

Now to be righteous does not mean we are perfect. It means we dedicated our lives walking in the manner which Christ has instructed us to.

Another important thing to remember is to thank those who are praying for you and to keep them updated. That is the respectful thin to do.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Yeshua (God our healer and rescuer) for blessing me that You have graciously rescued and healed me because of other family members prayers and that You heard and rescued and healed other members in Your holy family that I have prayed for. He Can Do the Impossible.

For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. Philippians 2:13New King James Version

Have you ever been given a “mission impossible” by Jehovah?

You know, when He asks you to do something and you do not have the recourses to do it, skill to do it or experience to do it.

More than once I accused Jehovah of being crazy. You want me to do what? Are You crazy? You want me to go where? Are You crazy?

The thing is though, He always starts me out with small tasks. As I am more and more obedient to Him and reliant upon Him to provide for the task to be completed He gives me more challenging tasks

That may not sound too inviting in our do as little as possible and demand as much as possible world but the bonus is that the more obedient we are to our Master (if Jesus is our King then we are His servants) the more He reveals just how awesome and amazing He is. This creates a more respectful, awestruck and loving heart towards Him and we develop a strong loving relationship with Him.

Treat Them Like a Cat.

 

A whip for the horse, a bridle for the donkey, and a rod for the backs of fools! Proverbs 26:3 New International Version

 

We have a cat that used to love to wait until we went to bed and then meow all night.

I read were if you ignore them they will stop. They are just trying to get attention. I tried it with limited success.

One night she kept us up until three a.m.

That was the last straw.

That day I put her in her cat carrier. Every time she meowed I would gently slap her on her and say “NO MEOWING!!” It took her forty five minutes to learn that meowing is rewarded with punishment and she stopped. Needless to say she did not like that at all. Now every night that she begins to meow alls I have to say is NO MEOWING! once and she stops and does not do it anymore during the night.

So too it is with instigators.

We can just ignore them and sometimes they will grow bored because they do not have a victim to torment but there are times when we have to be graceful, wise and firm with them and give them the same treatment as the cat. We cannot physically swat them but with Jehovahs guidance our words sting much worse.

I now use this to great effect and it has prevented many useless arguments and stings from the sick ones that love to start fights to satisfy their perverted pleasure. They quickly learn to avoid me and look for other victims.

That does not mean they will not wait until they think your guard is down and then try to attack again.

Let them try and they will fail.

You know why?

Because they are not dealing with flesh and blood (you), they are battling Spirit (The Holy Spirit) and who do you think is going to win that battle?

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireh (God our provider) for blessing me with the wisdom, grace and meekness to use words as a weapon to defend myself against the fools who arrogantly think they are so smart and love to cause disputes to satisfy their perverted pleasure. I thank you in the name of He who put the Pharisees in their place Jesus Christ. Amen.

It Will Defend Itself.

This is the reason you need to study and understand the Bible and write down and carry important verses with you.

You can defend the Bible with opinions which can be debated but explain the verses and there is no defense against them. Joseph- Anthony; Green

I have about ten pages of pertinent verses in my binder which shocks people when they are brought out.

 

They quickly discover they are standing on quicksand while I am standing on the rock. Most become very angry and walk away but a few will listen and ask for more.

I have found that one out of every ten will listen and be open to continuing on in the conversation and eventually ask for a Bible study. Even if you bring one into Christs fold He rejoices with angels.

 

Prayer: Please Holy Spirit Rabbi (Holy Spirit our teacher) bless me with understanding of the book of life and to write important verses down and carry them with me to be able to guide others to our Heavenly family. I sincerely request this in the name of the greatest rabbi Jesus Christ. Amen.

With a Sincere Heart.

Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Hebrews 10:22 New International Version                                    

This is a three part sequence.                                                                                                

First there is no trying to excuse or con Jehovah. We must admit to our sin with no excuses.

                                               

The second part is to repent of our sins. Repent means to ask for forgiveness and to stop committing the sin. Many times our sin is too great for us to conquer on our own which is why we need to ask the Holy Spirit to empower us to destroy the sin. Another part of repentance is to try to make right to any we have done wrong to.

The third part is the assurance that our sins are forgiven. Even if those offended refuse to forgive, our loving Father in Heaven assures us that He does forgive. In this way we do not allow others to hang the Damascenes Sword  of guilt over our heads. As well it blesses us with assurance that we are forgiven so we do not need to beat ourselves up over the incident.                                                                    

When thoughts of failures push their way into my consciousness, I let His total forgiveness dissolve my regrets and go on to praise Him who accepts us just as we are and lovingly works to make us more than we were. Ruth Bell Graham

Whenever I find myself becoming a Negative Nellie I always reflect back on all the marvelous blessing Jehovah has abundantly showered upon me both great and small. As each one comes to mind I thank my gracious Heavenly Father for these gifts. Soon the negative thoughts are replaced with boisterous praise.

 

 

It not only changes my disposition for the moment but also becomes a part of my daily life.

How Much Providence is There in Your Life?

There is no such thing as chance. Jehovah directs our steps when we allow Him to.

For me it was small things that stood out I was living in a dead end world and then read a little ad in the local newspaper about going to a school in Toronto to study electronics. I went but soon was studying natural medicine which I have used to help others for over thirty years as well as doing volunteer work in a hospital which was preparing me to care for others.

 

At another time after that there was  a little ad to go tree planting and as there was no other work available I took the job. During the thirteen years of the career I planted over a million trees all across Canada  but the thing Jehovah was preparing me for was when I was teaching rookies that was preparing me where He would send me next. As well many of the workers had some deep seated problems so I learned to counsel them.

 

When this career was petering out I studied teaching English. Once the course was completed my resume was posted on line. From hundreds of contract offers only one stood out which was teaching in China. During my ten years there I helped guide countless students to Christ.

 

As you can see each one was preparing me for a larger plan in succession. It took the course of about thirty years so do not expect it to happen overnight.

Have you ever met anyone who is arrogant and spewing forth lies?

I have met a good number of the “new Agers” as well as university students and professors that are like that.

 

When you gracefully, wisely and meekly confront them about their lies they become very agitated and aggressive. They start shouting at you.

The only reason anyone shouts at their opponent in a debate is to drown out the truth that their opponent is saying. Joseph- Anthony: Green.

The only people who get mad when you gracefully confront them with the truth are those living a lie. It stings them to their wicked heart and knocks them off their high horse. They will call you all kinds of names.

They destroy themselves in public and pout about it and their pride slowly eats  them until they become angry and bitter.
