Concentrate on Him.

Instead of concentrating on self to gain happiness which always leaves you feeling empty (you know I need a new car or house to be happy. I need to make more money. I need the latest fashion clothes to be happy {it constantly amazes me how shallow people are to buy designer clothes that are no better than no name one but twice the price} or I need a better body) concentrate on Christ.

It is always the most fulfilling experience to enjoy a beautiful love affair with Jehovah, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

 

This is accomplished with setting aside quiet time every day reading His love letter and guidance book to you (the Bible) and talking with Him.

It also involves finding a quiet place in nature to just sit and enjoy communing with Him.

 

Enjoying nature is the best place to commune with Christ.  Joseph- Anthony: Green

Jehovah made nature, man made cities. Which do you find more serine and beautiful?

 

The other way to develop a relationship with Him is to serve Him.

Request the Holy Spirit to guide you to the best place to serve Him and then depend upon His guidance to accomplish the work he has brought you to do.

Think of it as you and the Holy Spirit being a tag team. During this time you will feel as a partner and will enjoy working with the best Guidance Councilor.  When you do this you will experience joy.

 

The difference between happiness and joy is like comparing a bowl of instant soup to a smorgasbord of delicacies.  Joseph- Anthony: Green

He Will Help You.

Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God. Psalms 43:5  New King James Version

 

When you are sad or worried surrender it completely to Christ and have faith in Him. He will help you.

 

We all suffer depression occasionally.

When this occurs to me I enjoy reading the Book of Psalms. It fills me with peace and strength.

 

As well that is the time I take it to Jehovah with a humble heart. I know he is always willing to listen to me.

So, whenever you are experiencing problems give it to Jesus with the full confidence that He is always there and willing to listen and help.

Are you feeling down?

With a sincere heart call upon Jesus. Just talk with Him as your closest friends, because that is exactly what he is. Trust in Him and be patient and wait for His answer.

To Me To Prosper Is Not

To me  to prosper is not to gain material wealth but rather to grow in the spiritual wealth in Jesus’ precious love.

 

Material wealth comes and goes like a summer rain.  Joseph- Anthony: Green

As well it is like a sprinkle on the parched land.

It feels good while the sprinkle is happening, but when the sprinkle ends the land cries for more.

 

So too it is with material wealth.

Yes you feel happy when you have all the newest toys but quickly grow bored of them and then yearn for something more.

Material wealth is like being addicted to heroin. At first just a little will do but you quickly need more and stronger until it destroys you.

I am blessed with a spiritual love affair with Christ and my life is filled with peace, joy, and contentment (the gifts of the love of the Holy Spirit).

Comparing material wealth to spiritual wealth is like comparing a bowl of rice to a smorgasbord of fresh fruit and vegetables prepared by a talented chef.

Prayer: Oh my beloved Jesus, You are so wonderful Please bless me with the life giving refreshing waters of Your Spirit. As a tree’s roots receives nourishment from the soil, thank you for blessing me with the blessing of Your spirit in my life. I gratefully thank You in the name of he whose blood has made this precious gift possible Jesus Christ. Amen.

He Took Me Where I Did Not Want To Go.

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9    New King James Version

 

When I completed my TESOL course the intention was to teach in Central America. The Lord however was directing me to China. I thought He was crazy and there was no way that destination was even on the radar.

As I love Jesus I obediently ventured to China even though there was dread in my heart because it was a communist country and I am a Christian.

It has been a difficult ten years travelling and teaching all along the coast from the north to the south. Through His wise guidance He has lead me to people who were open to listening about Him and accepting Him.

Sometimes the Lord will lead you where you do not want to go because you are afraid. Trust Him, obey Him and follow Him. He will be with you every step of the way.

Reflecting back on the experience the understanding came to me that His way was, is and always will be the best way.

A bonus is how much that in my difficult times and learning to trust in Him we have grown oh so very close.

 

What a marvelous blessing that is as well as the fact that I have helped guide others into Christ’s wonderful family.

Prayer: Thank you Holy Spirit Rohi (Holy Spirit our Sheppard) for being such a patient, wise and strong guide in my life to take me to the places You have prepared for me to do the work You have prepared for me. I praise You in the name of the greatest Sheppard Jesus Christ. Amen.

It Can Turn Them Against Him.

See how great a forest a little fire kindles!  And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.  For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind.  But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.  With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God.  Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. Choose your words carefully because as a Christian you are on display.

If you are critical or self righteous you will turn non-believers against Christ. For that you will be judged much harsher than a non-believer.

As well imagine the last words you say to someone is: I hate you!!” and then they get killed in an automobile accident.

How will you feel?

Believe me many people live the rest of their lives in regret because they do this.

Prayer: Please  Jehovah KalEl (voice of God) guide me words today that they will heal and bless rather that destroy. I humbly ask this in the name of He whose words were healing to the woman at the well Jesus Christ. Amen.

That Is Why We Need Jesus.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the Lord upholds him with His hand. Psalms 37:23-24 New King James Version

 

We all stumble and fall in our walk with Christ, it does not matter if you are a babe or if you are a seasoned veteran. Sometimes it may happen every day, sometimes it will not occur for months, but it always happens.  Sometimes it is because of difficulty in life, sometimes it is because of a short temper. The list is endless that Satan will use to keep you from walking with Jesus. He is dammed to Hell and wants to take as many with him as he can.

 

That is why we need Jesus.

When you call out to Him in faith He will come and pick you up, clean you off and give you encouragement to continue on.

Never give up.

Believe in Jesus. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He will rescue you better than the cavalry in the old cowboy movies.

Yes, the Lord hears the good man when he calls to Him for help, and saves him out of all his troubles. The Lord is close to those whose heart is breaking; He rescues those who are humbly sorry for their sins. The good man does not escape all troubles  he has them, too. But the Lord helps him in each and every one Psalms 34:17-19         

                                                                          

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Yeshua (God our deliverer) for the numerous times You have gently picked me up cleaned me off and encouraged me on in my walk with You. He Will Answer You.

I have called upon You, for You will hear me, O God Psalms 17:6 New King James Version

 

No matter if is be danger, health issues employment or relationship problems, always take it to Jesus when you encounter problems. Be sincere and have faith.

He WILL answer you.

Keep your mind open because many times He answers in manners in which you are neither accustomed to nor are expecting.

It has happened to me countless times.

A good example is when I was looking for another contract because the one I was in was very bad. I thought He was leading me to the north west of the country. Instead he led me to the south east. It was there that many opportunities arose to serve Him as well as encounter many wise Christians who lead me into a deeper understanding of Christ, my relationship with Him and the proper manner to serve Him. This lasted for eight years of tutorship which led me to the calling the Lord had prepared for me all along.

Are you experiencing problems in any areas of your life?

Why not go to the best guidance councilor there is?He is always on call and provides the supreme advice there is in every area of your life.

The only catch is that in order for it to work, you must obey His advice.  Believe me you will be very glad you did. It is difficult at times but well worth it.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah El Shaddai (God who is sufficient for the needs of His people) for providing me with You astounding abundance in ways that amazed me. I thank you in the name of he who provides me with daily living waters Jesus Christ. Amen.

They Are Real and They Are Dangerous.

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 New King James Version

Satanic and demonic warfare is very real and very dangerous.

Demons are very intelligent and very tricky. Indeed, many times people believe they are talking with Jehovah’s angels when in fact, they are talking with demons.

They are stronger than us and can easily overpower us.

A good personal example of this is when I used to feel demons pushing me into a liquor store to buy beer and get drunk. It was as if invisible hands were literally pushing me in and buying the beer. Then while sobering up, they would viciously taunt me, laughing and saying: “Look at you, you filth. You believe you are a child of God. How can He who is holy love a filth drunk?”

The only way this was conquered was to cry out to Jesus to save me because they were too strong for me. When I did that they instantly left me and I have not had a drink in years. They had no choice; they HAD to leave me alone.

 

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4 New King James Version

Demons can exist in people so be careful with fortune tellers and astrologers. Demons can trick us by talking through psychics and astrologers.

Demons are individual and have memories. When they see a weakness in you like an addiction and you try to kick it, they will leave you alone and then come back with more demons.

When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house swept clean and put in order.  Then it goes and takes seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first.” Luke 11 24-26

Demons will do anything to separate you from Jesus and keep you separated from Him.

God has said,” Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Hebrews 13:4

Prayer: Please Jehovah Sabaoth (God, the commander of armies) send Your mighty angels to defeat santans minions when they attack me. I know I can depend upon the Holy Spirit within me but sometimes it is necessary for You to send Your angelic armies like You did for the Israelites during the six day war. I sincerely ask this in the name of the mighty king who defeated the demons when he walked amongst us Jesus Christ. Amen.

He Only Answers When Asked.

“I sought the Lord, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears” Psalm 34:4 King James Version

“The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms.” Deuteronomy 33:27

When we are in trouble we need to seek Jehovah’s guidance, have faith in Him and obey Him in order for it to work.

When we approach Jehovah with a sincere heart in times of trouble with complete confidence He hears and answers our prayers he will answer.

I know there was one time when I was in a dangerous situation and saw no way out. I prayed to my beloved with fear but trust. He delivered me in an amazing way. As I felt His hand moving in the situation, a feeling of calm and confidence overwhelmed me. He delivered me in an unusual way but I had trust in Him.

 

It was when I was hiking along the coast during low tide on a trail that went for a long distance.

 

I did not understand about how high tides rose and fell.

I was trapped on a small island and felt the ocean was going to wash me away.

There was no civilization either way for about forty kilometers.

I felt moved to climb to the top and there was a little hole just big enough for me to climb through.

 

Even though there was a fierce storm with raging waves I was secure in my little cubby hole.

 

I was enveloped in a sense of peace and serenity and enjoyed the best nights sleep of the entire hiking trip.

 

He has done this numerous times in my walk with Him and He will with you as well.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Shammah (The Lord is present) for blessing me with walking with me through my numerous trials and tribulations, sorrows and snares.  I give thanks for this wonderful blessing in the name of He who was with His disciples through the storm Jesus Christ. Amen.

The Big If.

“If we ask anything according to God’s will, He hears and answers.” 1 John 5:14

 

Do you notice the important part of this promise?

The first part is IF.

If we ask in accordance to Gods will He will hear and answer our prayer.

In other words instead of asking for a new house or car we should be asking for opportunities to know Jehovah better and how to serve Him better. That is why so many prayers are unanswered.

Now there is nothing wrong with asking for Jehovah’s blessings or help.

But we must be willing to accept His answer and do it His way and not the way we want Him to answer us. After all, who is smarter: you or Jehovah?

Now what you are asking for may not be in your best interest so your request is denied.

For example: when I was a teenager I asked Jehovah to arrange it so this beautiful girl would be my girlfriend. He refused. As it turns out she was a mean, self centered hag from hell.

Boy was I glad He did not give me my wish.

Now that I am older I laugh at many of the silly self centered requests I made to Jehovah and now that I pray for His will to be done in my life the prayers are fulfilled.

Not my will be done but Thy will be done is to be the national anthem of a Christians prayers. Joseph- Anthony: Green.
