Fools mock sin [but sin mocks the fools]. Proverbs 14:9 The Holy Bible Amplified Version
It will not hurt me. There is nothing wrong with this.
Does this sound familiar?
That is how destructive habits begin. Just once will not hurt. Then you become addicted and the devil comes and mocks you, he challenges you to quit all the while convincing you you are too weak to conquer this addiction.
Sometimes he is right in that the addiction is too strong for you to kick but Jesus is always right : “Your sins have been forgiven for His name’s sake [you have been pardoned and released from spiritual debt through His name because you have confessed His name, believing in Him as Savior]. 1 John 2:12 The Holy Bible Amplified Version
When we confess sincerely our sins and place them at the feet of Christ believing that He has the power to conquer them no matter how strong they are He will deliver us from them.
This is a lesson that fools never learn and their sin constantly hangs over their heads like the Damocles Sword.
Prayer: Please Jehovah Naheh (the Lord who Smites) smite hard those idiots that dumbly believe that they are immune from suffering the consequences of their sins and bring them unto repentance. Please open the eyes of the innocent ones when the tempter tries to deceive them and enslave them. I meekly request this in the name of He whose words of truth set so many captives free Jesus Christ. Amen.
May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.
