The Prodigal Cat.

Then He said: “A certain man had two sons. We adopted a cat we call Sammy. He is always, loved and well cared for but one day snuck outside and refused to come back in. The outside world looked too inviting. He has no front claws to defend himself against the wild cats and cannot hunt.

Christians are adopted and well cared for by Jesus. For some the outside world looks tempting and they leave.

Just as I searched for and tried to coax Sammy in to no avail so too does the Holy Spirit.

Just as I gave up and walked away so too does the Holy Spirit give up and walk away from us when we refuse to obey His calling.

Just as Sammy will be welcomed back so too are wayward Christians when they repent and come back to Christ.

Sammy has returned home and has no desire to ever go outside again. When we open the door he runs the other way. When sin tempts us and draws us away from Jesus let us pray we are as smart as Sammy

Prayer: Thank you my Beloved Father that when we stray, as we all do, and come to our senses and return to you with repentance You gladly accept us back into Your Holy family. I give thanks for this amazing blessing in the name of He whose blood made this gift possible Jesus Christ. Amen

Think of it.

Imagine an article in the news stating that a couple of old geezers (and I can get away with calling them that because I am one) are going to have a child. It would confound everyone.

Now think of it in Abraham’s days when there was no artificial insemination. Not only would it seem impossible to Abraham and Sarah but imagine those in other countries and even their own family. The question on everyone’s mind would be:How can this be?”

I can imagine Jehovah rolling in the Heavens laughing. I love His sense of humour.

So many times I think He is sending me here to do this when in reality He is sending me there to do that.

So imagine you think Jehovah is sending you out for pizza in the west end of town and you end up in the north east end of town going canoeing. I end up laughing and laughing and telling Him I love His sense of humour. I can imagine Jehovah rolling in the Heavens laughing with me. Jehovah has the greatest sense of humour of all.

Unfortunately, so Too it is Today.

How many folks today go to church to hear a flashy preacher or to listen to music. They say “Amen” at the right time with their mouths but refuse to incorporate the teaching into their daily lives through out the week. They walk out of church and are no different than when they walked in. They still live sexually immoral lives, cheat, are arrogant and disrespectful. Indeed, there have been numerous churches I have attended where I was wondering if the is a Church of Christ or if it was a den of Alli Babba and the forty thieves. They were worse than the non-Christians. \

So many folks attend the feel good churches but avoid the churches that teach the hard truth of Jehovahs commands and expect their members to abide by them (I do not mean cults but those whose teachings come from the Bible like we are to give our first fruits to Jehovah, not necessarily the church they are attending but to any Christian organization). They are insulted and offended by the teachings because it calls them out for their disgusting behaviour.

I prefer to have talks with Christian brothers and sisters, especially on the internet, rather than attend church for this very reason

Prayer: Please Jehovah KalEl (voice of God) instill in Your preachers to speak the truth no matter how offensive it is to the bench warmer Christians. Let Your words move them to repentance. I sincerely request this in the name who never pulled punches in His sermons Jesus Christ. Amen

The Fools Laugh.

The sorcerers pretend they have power equal to or superior to Jehovah and use to to fleece the weak minded out of their money. They may get away with it for a while but Jehovah is a God of justice and will strike them swiftly with no warning and show no mercy towards them.

The adulterers stupidly believe they will not get caught nor become infected with sexual diseases like syphilis or aids. If they do they do not care if they infect their mates. They are playing a fools game and Jehovah is a God of justice and will strike them swiftly with no warning and show no mercy towards them.

There are those who will swear that lies are the truth to cover up for their lies or lies of their family or friends to escape punishment. They do not care if innocent ones go to jail or have their lives destroyed. Jehovah is a God of justice and will strike them swiftly with no warning and show no mercy towards them. The end result will be their lives are demolished and their will be no remedy for the pain they shall suffer.

There are many employers that cheat their workers out of their wages and laugh because they are getting away with it. They are living a fools dream. Jehovah is a God of justice and will strike them swiftly with no warning and show no mercy towards them. They will be left with nothing and end up living in the gutter where they belong.

There are many children that constantly cheat their parents out of money even when they are widows or widowers so they can live a life of luxury while their mom or dads do without. When their parents dies there will be nobody for them to free load off of and they will lose everything. I cannot speak for orphans because I have not seen it.

Oh the extreme wailing that occurs when Jehovahs strong merciless hand comes crushing down on the wicked and they pay for their vile deeds. When the wicked rip the innocent off the fools laugh because they foolishly believe they are getting away with it. They are living in a fools dream which will suddenly turn into an unimaginable Hell both here on earth and for an eternity in Hell. Joseph a son of Jehovah

They are Neither Right or Good.

I have witnessed many who take on tasks in the belief that they are doing Gods work so they will receive Gods blessings. That that is a form of bribery. They may be doing good in the community but of course their endeavors mean nothing to Jehovah.

An obedient son or daughter of Jehovah seeks His will not their own. When we make this commitment He will guide us where we are best suited to meet His needs in His way.

When we fulfill His direction this is pleasing in Jehovahs eyes.

Before you make any plans to service Christ, take it to the King (Jesus) first. Then, wait for His direction.

Be patient.

Moses had to wait forty years. Paul had to wait three.

While you are waiting He is preparing you for meaningful service unto Him. He is also preparing the place of service for you to go to and the proper time.

He is Instantly Free.

When I was a teenager I was driven crazy by my peers. One would be telling me to do this with my life, another would be telling me to do that with my life. There was so many voices I did not know what to do.

It was years later that Jehovah slowly began to reveal His intentions in my life. He did not reveal the whole plan to me, I think that is because I would not have believed it anyway. He took it one step at a time. When the first step was matured then the next was taken. Sometimes the steps were quick, sometimes they were slow.

Over the course of forty years it has been awesome what He has accomplished in me using this method.

I am sure He still has intentions for furthering my maturity and service unto Him.

Now I am free from the confusing and demanding direction given to me by others because of the knowledge that I am guided by the best Guidance Councillor there is.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah El-Deah (God of knowledge) for blessing me that when I set my mind, body and spirit on doing Your will, I am not tossed about like a ship in a raging storm not knowing where to go or what to do to please those in the world. To Live as He

One aspect of prayer is requesting guidance in every aspect of our lives, both big and small.

When Jehovah answers these prayers and we are obedient to them we will live at His direction in our lives.

Many times it takes huge leaps of faith (trust) to be obedient to them because they do not make sense to us. Especially to those like me who are logical.

But our logic is finite compared to Jehovahs infinite logic. He sees things far into the future that we do not. He understands the implications far better that we do. It takes a lifetime to be confident in His direction even though sometimes it seems like nonsense to us. However when we do, we will live as we pray.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah EL OHIM YAKOL (God, the Most Able) for enabling me to bring life and meaning to my prayers when You wisely answer in how to bring them to fruitation. I praise You in the name of He who answers all prayers Jesus Christ. AMEN.

You Cannot Legislate Folks To.

 What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don’t they come from the evil desires at war within you?You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it. Today everybody screams that if you do not think and believe like I do, you are a sexist, racist, or homophobic. Well, this is the way of the liberals who are very intolerant of others all the while living a life worse than those they are condemning. From my experience, liberals are hateful, closed minded and dictatorial.

Just look at the recent event in the United States where peaceful mostly white Catholic school students (Covington High School) were visiting a cultural memorial and they were viciously attacked by those who appeared to me to be black hate mongers. Then the native came along (please do not tell me he just happened to be walking down the street with a drum in his hands, it appeared to me to be all set up) and started banging his drum. Did he not lie to the leftist media and say he felt threatened by a student who just stood there smiling while the native was banging a drum in his face? The leftist media took off with is as well as numerous other lefties and condemned the student who where the victims.

I personally find it easy to discuss opposing point of views with conservatives. Most (not all) are respectful of opposing views as long as they are not shoved down their throats.

Some of the liberal ideals are good as are some of the ideas of the conservatives. Why do we not just sit down and listen to each other, then have a referendum of the people. Which ever way the people decide is the way the society will go. That is true democracy. You cannot legislate folks to believe in what you believe and cannot force them to live the life you think is right. Now we do have standardized laws like being against the law to commit murder but there are also international laws that state that as long as I am not hurting anyone else I can, will and do live the life I choose (which by the way, is by living in accordance with the Holy Spirits guidance).

The governments of today and the media are pulling folks apart rather than being strong morally and uniting them together. Yes, both liberal and conservative are equally to blame. I believe they do it to gain power and prestige for themselves rather than being honourable and serving those with in their community.

Christians are to be different. We are to guide others to Christs ever lasting government by our actions and then by teaching them His standard of behaviour that is acceptable in His Eternal government.

The more policies the government enacts that force people to behave a certain way, the less of a community we become. We may see the issue we pushed for go away, but we may also see people more cautious of each other, people less likely to ask for or offer help, less effective teamwork and innovation. The less they are comfortable with others and become more isolationist. This is a recipe for disaster. Anonymous

Not to Drown Us But To

Have you ever stood underneath a waterfalls after being soaked in sweat from a long, hard hike on a hot day? I have and boy does it ever feel like I am the cleanest I have ever been.

Have you ever dove into a cool lake after a hot day. Boy, it feels invigorating.

So too it is when we have evil disposition in our lives and through the waters Jehovah washes them from us.

Watch clothes being washed in a washing machine. They way they are turned and twisted. The way they spin at dizzying speed in the spin cycle.

Jehovah does the same with us and our sins. The more they are ingrained in us, the harder the wash cycle. Then when we are cleansed of them, He puts us through the spin cycle to completely clean us and have them washed down the drain. It is not pleasant but boy is it worthwhile. We will truly feel as clean as the first snow.

There is Neither Coincidence Nor Accidents In

There is neither coincidence nor accidents in our Christian lives. Everything is either by the hand of Jehovah or by His allowance.

It was not Jehovahs hand that caused Jobs sufferings but by His allowance. It was done to teach Job and important lesson (not to depend upon His own righteousness to be in favour of Jehovah).

The plagues upon Egypt were not coincidence or a freak act of nature but by the hand of Jehovah. They were to exhibit His power to both the Egyptians and the Israelites.

Jesus’ healing of the lepers was neither coincidence or a freak act of nature but by the hand of Jehovah. The military leader of the conquering army that was destroying Israel washing himself in the Jordan River to cleanse his leprosy was was neither coincidence or a freak act of nature but by the hand of Jehovah.

These are real events and they continue on to this day both in your life as well as mine. To write unexplained events in our lives as accidents or coincidence is an insult to Jehovah. The world may believe this lie but Christians know better.
