My Precious Quiet Time.

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities his eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.  Romans 1:20New International Version

 

I love to walk through a forest with a quiet little stream. It is so soothing to watch the fall leaves dancing in the wind with a multitude of colours like banners waving in a parade. To listen to the sweet memorizing sound of the birds singing with child like joy. As I sit by a gentle little rapids all stress is washed away and a feeling of calm and peace envelope every molecule of my being.  The intoxicating fragrance of wildflowers softly gently flowing up my nostrils and into every fiber of my being.                                                                                                   

A feeling as I am one with the world around me is joined with the sweetness of being at one with my beloved Heavenly Father, my precious King and my wonderful Teacher creates a flow that begins in my heart and  comes exploding out of my mouth : “ I love You oh great and marvelous Lord. I love You. Thank you for blessing me with revealing just a tiny bit of Your infinite beauty and reassurance that You love me and are with me.

Until Your Last Breath.

Have you encountered older Christians who like to brag “I did this for Jesus.” or “I did that for Jesus.”

We do not stop serving our Heavenly king until either He takes us to the other side or until He comes in the final battle to take us to Heaven to serve Him for an eternity.

We do not ever sit on our hands and say I have done my fair share.

Only Christ decides when Your time in service is completed.

Another point is that we of ourselves did nothing. It was what Christ has accomplished through us. We insult Him when we take credit for what He has accomplished in us and through us.

Jehovah loves us but because we are not perfect there is separation between Him and us.

Jesus Christ has made the sacrifice necessary for us to be blessed with an intimate affair with Jehovah.

The Holy Spirit teaches us of our short comings, of the magnitude of Christs sacrifice and that He (the Holy Spirit) is the only teacher who is capable of teaching us the proper manner in which to appreciatively, respectfully and lovingly develop a loving relationship with them (Jehovah, Jesus and the Holy Spirit).

Prayer: Thank you oh Holy Three for blessing me with the incredible blessing of the spiritual life love affair You have provided for me. I give thanks in the name of He whose blood made this blessing possible Jesus Christ. Amen.

Was It a Blessing?

In order that Satan might not outwit us, for we are not unaware of his schemes. 2 Corinthians 2:11 New International Version

 

One day I felt the Lord moving me to go sit beside the river on a cement walkway to do my meditation while living in Asia. Once there, men and women were constantly interrupting me trying to get me to give them or their children or grandchildren free English lessons. It was explained to them that I was spending time with Jehovah in meditation. They did not care and kept on
pestering me to teach them English. I naturally, became extremely agitated but remained meek (meek means keeping your temper under control.

Then I felt the Holy Spirit to merely explain to them I was meditating and would appreciate it if hey respected that and left me alone. When they persisted they were ignored. When they understood that they were being ignored they left me alone.

Why do you think Jehovah would send me to a place where there was constant harassment?
Do you think it was to teach me to be polite but firm with others?  Do you think it was to teach me to concentrate on meditation and not allow the devil to interfere with it (I am not saying the men and women were devils but rather that Satan was using them to interfere with it)?

Do you think that was a blessing in disguise?

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Rabbi (God our teacher) for blessing me with an important lesson that is expanded so much in my life. I joyously exalt You in the name of He who never allowed the devil to interfere with His divine life when He walked the earth Jesus Christ. Amen.

How is Your Neighbourly Skills?

“You shall not see your brothers ox or his sheep going astray, and hide yourself from them; you shall certainly bring them back to your brother. And if your brother is not near you, or if you do not know him, then you shall bring it to your own house, and it shall remain with you until your brother seeks it; then you shall restore it to him. You shall do the same with his donkey, and so shall you do with his garment; with s, which he has lost and you have found, you shall do likewise; you must not hide yourself.

“You shall not see your brother’s donkey or his ox fall down along the road, and hide yourself from them; you shall surely help him lift them up again.” Deuteronomy 22:1-4 New King James Version

When Jesus was talking about neighbour do you think He was referring to the above scripture?

‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ Mark 12:32 New King James Version

If so does that not mean that all are our neighbour whether they are Christians or non-Christians? Whether they come from the same country as you or are the same colour? How often do you go out of your way to help another, especially if it means a
personal sacrifice on your behalf?

I have done it numerous times. Sometimes it is challenging, sometimes easy but knowing that I am honouring Jesus always makes
it fulfilling.

Do not do it for any reward or for a show.

Now when men or women ask me why I do it, it is a great opportunity to share Christ with them.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Chanan (God is gracious) for blessing me with the knowledge, skill and opportunity to glorify You by my actions and perhaps bring a lost little sheep to You holy fold. I humbly give praise to You in the name of He who was gracious to all His neighbours Jesus Christ. Amen.

It Is From the Heart.

God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” John 4:24 New International Version

What is the proper manner to have a relationship with our Beloved?

Do you think it is going to church once a week? Going to church out of duty is not from the heart but obligation.
Do you think it is giving money or time? Giving time or money not from the heart is a form of bribery (here you go God. I am a
good Christian).

Do you think it is by reciting prayers like Buddhists, the Muslims or many Christian denominations? That is not from the heart but obligation.  Saying empty meaningless prayers means nothing to Jehovah if it is not from the heart but obligation.

Because Jehovah is spirit we are to worship Him in spirit (or in other words from our heart).

Now we can do all the above as expressions of worship but it must be done in our spirit with love, respect and gratitude.

Prayer: I love to worship You in love Jehovah Yahweh (God of His people) for the glorious love affair You have blessed me with. I praise You for this splendid gift in the name of He who made it all possible Jesus Christ. Amen.

A Fantastic Ever-loving Love Affair.

Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn you.”
Jeremiah 31:3 New International Version

What does it mean to be drawn to Jehovah?

We will say you are a man walking down the street and you see a gorgeous woman walking towards you. You are drawn to her beauty.

Jehovah draws us to Him with His love, kindness and generosity.

That does not mean He is a genie who we rub a bottle and He gives us our three wishes.

No.

It means a love affair.

Now a healthy love affair is a two way street called give and receive.

So as Jehovah generously blesses us with His divine love, we receive it.

In response we give Him our love and He receives it in return.

The more we give and receive in this relationship, the more we are drawn into a deeper love affair with Him.
Prayer: I praise for eternity and beyond You Jesus Pryyand (Jesus my friend) for the magnificent blessing of enjoying daily communion with such the most awesome friend there is possible to have. I joyfully thank you in Your loving name. Amen.

The Cruel Good Blessings

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.  Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. James1:2-4 New International Version

When I have experienced my hard times that I shared my most sincere prayer with my Beloved. As I read the Bible and listened to sermons I realized there was a purpose for them. Most of the time it was putting me in the furnace to burn off things in my bad habits or attitudes.

He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the Lord will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness. Malachi 3:3 New International Version

It is not enjoyable I can assure of that just as there is the assurance that when we are brought out of the furnace we will be more purified and as a result ever closer to God. And that, is a very good blessing indeed.

Prayer: Thank You Jehovah Elohim (God our creator) for burning off the dross from Your child so as to enjoy the blessing of an ever closer loving relationship with You. I exalt You for this blessing in the name of He who suffered for me Jesus
Christ. Amen.

Keep Yourself Centered

Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following, who also had leaned on His breast at the supper, and said, “Lord, who is the one who betrays You?”  Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, “But Lord, what about this man?” Jesus said to him, “If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.”John 21: 20-22 New King James Version

When you  have received your calling from Christ, stay focused on that calling.

Others opinions are irrelevant.

When  I informed others calling in my life they always tried to dissuade me, they made fun of me and sometimes tried to put things in my way to intentionally make me fail.

If I had of listened to them, I would not have accomplished anything Christ set out for me to do.
As well, do not worry about the other guy whether that be a family member, or a buddy at school or church with their calling.

That is between them and Jesus.

Do not compare your calling to theirs.
For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.  For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function,  so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.  Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them Romans 12:3-6New King James Version

Their calling may be to work with an international group with a lot of prestige. Yours may be working with the homeless or elderly that gets no attention by others. They are both important to Jesus or He would not have assigned them.

Jesus does not waste anyone’s time.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Rohi (God is our Sheppard) for blessing me with the calling You have specifically for me in Your Holy family. This servant gives thanks in the name of my King Jesus Christ. Amen.

What They Need

Whoever rebukes a person will in the end gain favor rather than one who has a flattering tongue. Proverbs 28:23 New International Version

In today’s world of the politically correct where if it feels good do it, to rebuke someone is to be considered to be interfering.

I remember when as a child it was quite common for a stranger to rebuke a naughty child when they were misbehaving in public.

Try that now and see what happens.

In s world it is not your fault, it is societies fault, it is your families s fault and the guilty ones go unpunished.
If we had more men and women out there that could mentor properly without the politically correct interfering maybe that would solve a lot of our problems.

When I was a teacher I would gracefully, meekfully (meek means keeping your tempter under control) rebuke naughty or lazy children. Yes, when necessary, they were punished. Many other teachers thought I was harsh. But, at the end of the year, so many of those same students would come up to me and thank me and apologize for their misbehavior.

Whereasthose with flattering tongues tell you it is not your fault or that no, you cannot fail. You did a great job and get a prize even though you did not putany effort in it. These flattering teachers were treated with contempt and distain.
And you wonder why society is in such a mess?

Prayer: Please Jehovah Hosanna (God our maker) bless me with the ability to mold those You have placed in my sphere of influence into Godly righteous children of Your precious family. I humbly request this in the name of the greatest teacher of all Jesus Christ. Amen.
