The Little Has Big

Praying does not require much skill but accomplishes a lot. I have experienced a lot of it.

 

I prayed for a precious sister to be blessed with fellowship and joining a bible study group. She wanted to say farewell to some friends. At the meeting she met another old friend who invited her to join her Bible study group. Two birds with one stone.

 

I prayed for a friend of a friends husband to recover from a serious illness. After three days he had completely recovered.

 

A small effort to do one kind act a day can produce huge affects on Christian and non-Christians alike. Joseph- Anthony: Green

 

When I was a teacher in China, many times my students would see me do small acts of kindness. They would ask my why I did these things. I informed them I was a Christian and that opened the door for me to share Jesus with them and some of them ultimately became Christians.

How Is Your Footsteps?

I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. John 13:15 New International Version

 

Whether you want to admit it or not, when you are a Christian your actions and words give an example to the world and new believers. You are Christs ambassador.

 

What kind of example are you setting for the world to see?

 

Do you follow in Christs footsteps with your family? How much time do you spend reading the Bible with Your family? Do you say grace before meals? Do you teach your children to say good night prayers? What kind of entertainment do you watch on TV or movies? What kind of music do you listen to?

 

Do you follow in Christs footsteps at school or work? When you see a classmate or co-worker struggling with an assignment, do you go over and help them?  Do you participate with the filthy gossip about classmates or co-workers or do you walk away (for me, whenever they try this I just ask them what they say about me when I am not there, they shut up fast)? Do you welcome new students or co-workers?

 

Do you follow in Christs footsteps in how you spend your time? Do you prefer to be with swearing boozing buddies rather than Christians? How much time do you spend in serving your community?

 

Do you prefer to stay home to watch a sports program rather than go to church?

 

If you are a true Christian, should you not walk in the masters footsteps?

Is This Todays Ark?

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.Joshua 3:3&4 Authorized (King James) Version

 

 

Although today we do not have the ark, we have something superior.

 

It is called our Bibles.
The ark represented the presence of God.
Is the Bible not the word of God therefore is God not in the Bible and therefore should we not go to the Bible for Gods guidance?
First we need to pray for Jehovahs blessing to open our eyes to what He wants us to see. Then we need a good Bible concordance to reference which Bible verses He wants to guide us to.

After that we need to record, either on a audio recorder or by writing it down.

 

Next we need to pray for Jehovah what he is revealing for us to do.

 

Finally we need to take action and obey His instruction.

 

It may seem like a lot of work, but it will prevent a lot of trouble and heartache later.

 

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah KalEl (voice of God) for the amazing treasure of Your wise word for daily guidance with every aspect of my life. I give deepest thanks in gratitude in the name of the wisest teacher of all Jesus Christ. Amen.

We Are to Use It

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10 New International Version

Yes, Jesus is our Savior, but He is also our king.

As such, does that not make us His servants?
And what do servants do?

They serve right?

Who determines where the servant is to serve?

The King right?

So if the servant wants to take care of the Kings garden but the King wants them to serve cleaning His toilets what are we His obedient servants to do?

Clean the toilets right?

So too it is to be with us.

Instead of going off half cocked using the hit and miss technique (you know, I will just go out and do what I think Jesus wants me to do and if it is not right I will just keep searching until I find what I think He wants me to do) is it not better to wait, pray and seek guidance on where the King wants us to serve?

Now just because He wants you to serve here today does not mean He may not want you to serve somewhere else tomorrow.

In my walk in servant hood I have served in various fields such as medicine, teacher and writer.

Prayer: Thank you Jesus Adonai (Jesus our king) for the special privilege of serving You in my daily life. I thank you in Your majestic name. Amen.

Pray For It.

Whoever is patient has great understanding, but one who is quick-tempered displays folly. Proverbs 14:29 New International Version

There was a place God led me to that was quiet and I could meditate there with my Bible.

About a week later while attempting to enjoy my meditation people were constantly coming to me and asking what I was doing. As they were Chinese who did not understand English and I did not understand Chinese I informed them politely that I do not understand Chinese (which is one phrase I do know). They refused to go away and permit me to continue my meditation. They just stood there in loud whiney voices trying to get me to talk with them.

I prayed for the Lord to bless me with patience and endurance. A feeling of calm enveloped me as the Chinese were ignored and the meditation continued as planned. This continued every day for a week.

Later upon praying to God for wisdom on how to stop this rude behavior He revealed to me that Satan was using the Chinese as a way to get between His and my time of communion and to just ignore them.

Obeying this advice the Chinese grew tired of interrupting me and stopped attempting to interrupt my meditation time after a week.
They knew I was a Christian because I made the sign of a cross and clasped hands together which they understood that I was meditating with God.

If I had of lost it what type of witness would that have been?

As there were many of them and one of me, what do you think would have happened if things got into a yelling match?

After living in China for about ten years I know it would have gotten very ugly, very quickly.

There is only one letter difference between “anger” and “danger”

Prayer: Please Jehovah Shalom (God of peace) bless me with the peace, patience wisdom and strength to refuse to allow satan to get under my skin.I know that as Your ambassador my behavior reflects back upon You. I beseech You in the name of He who always emulated His holy father Jesus Christ.

It Is The Only Way To It.

Our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ, that your joy may be full. 1 John 1:3-4 King James Version

Joy is spiritual.

The only way to experience joy is to have a loving relationship with Jehovah our father, Jesus Christ our king, savior and best friend and the Holy Spirit our guidance councilor, healer, strengthener.

How much time do you spend every day with them?

Do you read your Bible and ask for wisdom to understand what they are trying to teach you?

Do you spend time singing praises to them?

Do you begin your day and end it by sharing with them how much you love them?

Why not try this every day for a month and write down how you feel throughout the day and how your relationship with others improves?

See how much less stress or your sleep improves.

Prayer: Thank you Jesus Pryyand (Jesus my friend) for the wonderful splendor of communion with You every day. It truly is the most cherished treasure of my day. I joyfully praise You for this reverent blessing in Your hollowed name. Amen.

He Cannot Do Them All.

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. John 15:7 King James Version

Believe it or not, Jehovah cannot answer all our prayers.

Oh he has the power and ability to but he is restrained by unco-operating sprits.

So let us say you deeply want reconciliation with someone who has hurt you and is unrepentant or that you feel repentant to someone you hurt.

God gives each of us free will.

So someone who is arrogant or bitter He cannot force to reconcile. There was someone who repeatedly abused me when I was a child.

Numerous times I tried to reconcile with them when I became a man only to have them cruelly laugh at me and deny the events even occurred, despite there were numerous official records of the incidents.

I prayed hard core for many years for reconciliation to happen.

He died a very slow and painful death, unrepentant til the end.

So it is not that God breaks His promise, it is that there are those who refuse to obey His grace.

When this happens, do not blame God but blame the arrogant unrepentant one.

Then there are times we ask for what we deeply desire and He does not give it to us. It is because it is not what He has planned for us.

For example, when I was a teenager all the way into my thirties I prayed every day for the blessing of having a wife, children, home and steady job.

Now in my middle years I believe this blessing was withheld from me because He intended me to serve Him in many various places across the country and indeed around the world in numerous difficult and dangerous situations.

He has blessed me with loving Christians throughout though that are closer than my own family and there are abundant cherished memories of the good accomplished in His name and through His name.

There are times when we ask for things that are not good for us so of course he cannot give them to us.

I asked for a contract in another part of the country that I really wanted to see because of its history and culture.

Instead the Lord directed me to the opposite end of the country. It was later revealed that there was a lot of infighting in the company and that it ended up closing three months after I was supposed to start.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireh (God our provider) for all the marvelous blessings You have bestowed upon me and for instructing me that there are some things that You cannot do due to unreceptive hearts. Please Jehovah always give me a heart that is receptive to Your will in all my ways in all my days. I sincerely ask this in the name of he who was obedient to Your will all the way to the cross Jesus Christ. Amen.

The Greater Gift

It is more blessed to give than to receive. Acts 20:35 King James Version

Sadly in today’s world the majority of people are missing out on one of the greatest gifts of all. Instead of looking at self, why not look outwards?

When you give freely, not because of obligation to society or to Christ but from your heart, you are blessed with one of the greatest gifts of all.

That gift of course is joy.

Joy in knowing your gift has helped someone.

Joy in knowing that that gift is a pleasing sacrifice to Jehovah.

And, of course, joy in satisfaction in knowing that you did something good.

Prayer: Please Jehovah Chanan (God is gracious) fill me today and every day with Your divine grace and love to freely and abundantly share with every opportunity You bless me with. I humbly ask this in the name of He who overflowed with grace and love to all those whose heart was open to Him Jesus Christ. Amen.

For All the Gloomy Gusses.

Have you ever met the Gloomy Gusses?

They walk around looking as if they are always sucking lemons.

You would think their faces would crack and smash like broken glass if they ever cracked a smile.

What a pitiful existence (it is certainly not what I would consider a life).

They could not tell you anything positive or happy if their life depended upon it.

They suck the joy and life out of you quicker than an industrialized vacuum cleaner.

They pompously criticize you when they see you happy.

The only thing funny about them is their foolish claim to be Christians.

A gloomy Christian is a contradiction in terms. Joseph- Anthony: Green

Jehovah created us to live a life of joy.

Look for the simple beauty around you every day and rejoice in it, like a sunrise or sunset a gentle snow fall with the snowflakes performing a delicate ballet, the fall colour, the symphony of the song birds.
You ask me why I am filled with rejoicing and I ask you if you are death, blind, and or dumb?

The more you rejoice in the gifts of Gods beauty all around us, the less attractive the pleasures of the world are. Joseph- Anthony: Green

Prayer: Thank you Yahweh Sabbath (God of the heavens) for all the incredible creations You have so generously provided for us to marvel at Your awesome beauty and majesty. When we take the time to observe them it is only natural to feel a deep sense of awe, love and respect for You. How many time travelers have you met?

You know, the ones who say things were so much better back when I was younger (usually parents and grandparents).

Name me a time and I can name you both glory and gory it that time.

The opposite side of the coin are those who only remember the bad things.

They always tell you how hard it was back then and how easy it is for the younger
generation.
Each generation endures their own hardship and their own glory days. Joseph: Anthony- Green
Remembering events, both good and bad make up a part of our live. Just do not live there. Reaching involves an action.

Reach out to now, today and tomorrow.

Pray for Jehovah to open your eyes to the present opportunities before you and you will be amazed what you can do working as a tag team with the Holy Spirit. Joseph- Anthony: Green

I did not learn to tree plant (which is one of the hardest jobs in the world) until in my thirties and planted over a million trees all across Canada.

I did not become a teacher until in my forties but have taught from the north end of China to the south in seven years, teaching children, teenagers, adults and university students (most teachers can only teach one age group).

I did not become a writer until in my fifties.

I did not become a pastor until my mid fifties and now mentor internationally.

So please do not give me any lame excuses about you being over the hill.

Ask for Gods will to be done in your life, follow it and be amazed at what he WILL DO in your life. Joseph- Anthony: Green
