Which Meal Are You Eating?

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”  John 8:12 New International Version 

There once were two men living in house beside each other.

One night there was a storm and it knocked out all the hydro.

The one man woke up feeling very hungry so he went to the kitchen in the dark to make himself a sandwich. Instead of putting peanut butter on the bread he put mustard. Instead of putting jam on the bread he put on horse radish. He took a big bite and his mouth was burning, his stomach felt as if there were red hot fingers gripping it. In pain he reached for something to drink. Instead of drinking apple juice he drank hot sauce. He was in agony.

The second man felt hungry as well. He grabbed a flash light and went into the kitchen and made a peanut butter and jam sandwich and sat down to enjoy it with a warm cup of delicious tea.

The difference between the two men was the light.

So too it is in life.

Those who walk in darkness are constantly groping about for something to satisfy them only to be rewarded with pain.

 

Those who follow Christs light enjoy a delightful, life giving meal of the Holy Spirit.

Which meal are you eating?

They are Life.

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. John 6:63 New King James Version

When I was planting tree’s for a living at the beginning of the season we would be sitting around a camp fire at the end of the day talking and getting to know each other. Somebody would always ask the question if your parents are divorced raise your hand. Out of about fifty planters I was the only one not to raise my hand.

The next question was if you feel your parents do not love you or care about you raise your hand. Again I was the only one not to raise my hand.

These young people were seeking comfort and satisfaction in drugs, booze and sex. During the course of the season I would spend time alone with them and tell them I loved them while giving them a hug. Rivers of tears would run down their faces as for many of them it was the first time they ever experienced that.

That loving feeling and reassurance I gave them is nothing compared to that which is freely offered by the most loving Father there ever is, was or will be.

Worship in Spirit and Truth.

“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:24 New King James Version

Do not think that paying lip service gives Jehovah a favourable impression of you. In other words singing songs of praise from the mouth and not the heart is nothing more than hot air blowing in the wind to Him. Saying dead prayers of praise is insulting to Him. If it does not come from the heart, it is worthless to Him.

Only a fool would believe they can con Jesus. Joseph: Anthony- Green

Making a display of putting a big donation in the collection plate that is nothing more than spare change to you, does not impress Him. If you give from the heart that is a precious gift to Him.

Because Jehovah is spirit we must worship Him in spirit. Joseph: Anthony- Green.

Do Not Worry About How.

“Now when they bring you to the synagogues and magistrates and authorities, do not worry about how or what you should answer, or what you should say.  For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.” Luke 12:11-12 New King James Version

Recently I was obliged to have a meeting with a government official.

Instead of worrying about what to say I took the proper action and prayed for the Holy Spirit to be with me during the meeting.

During the meeting they tried to ask me tough questions but each time the answer came out of my mouth with out even thinking about what I was saying.

The official was stunned and taken aback. They were not expecting the answers given and could not challenge them.

Needless to say the meeting ended to my satisfaction and the problem was solved at that meeting. They informed me there would be no need for another. Of course I requested (which is our right) the official sign a document with their name and ID number stating they were satisfied with the answers. That way if there was a dispute later on I would have documents to prove what I was saying.

I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” Psalms 91:2 New King James Version

Prayer: Please Jehovah Kal El (Voice of God) always bless me with Your divine wisdom, grace and meekness when I am forced to be confronted with any and all authorities. I meekly request this in the name of He who was always wide, graceful and meek when confronted by authorities no matter if they were the scribes or Romans Jesus Christ. Amen.

For You Formed My Inward Parts.

For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.  My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them. Psalms 139:13-16 New King James Version

This is why abortion is perhaps one of the most hideous crimes known to man. An abortion is baby murder in my opinion.

Killing is justifiable taking of a life. Murder is the taking of an innocent life.

Who is more innocent than an unborn baby?

Life is not by chance or accident. Life is a creation from Jehovah. To butcher that child is a slap in the face of Jehovah.

To ruthlessly and cruelly murder a baby because it is an inconvenience  for the mother is a cheap excuse.

Do you think it is a coincidence that so many women are suffering from breast cancer or uterine cancer today in epic portions?

If you do not want to get pregnant take preventative measure like birth control or better yet wait until you get married.

Now if in the past you have had an abortion and feel remorseful about it the good news is that when you repent unto Jesus your sin is washed away as is your guilt.

In the Bible it says if a woman is raped or her life is in danger because of the pregnancy it is okay to abort the child but only under those circumstances.

Prayer: Please Jehovah Ropheka (God is our Healer) heal the hearts of the women that are remorseful for their taking of their childs life with Your gentle healing forgiving love and please move the hearts of the unrepentant to repent of their wrong choices. I sincerely ask this in the name of He who healed so many women Jesus Christ. Amen.

He Withdraws His.

Why do You withdraw Your hand, even Your right hand? Psalms 74:11 New King James Version

When you read I the Old Testament, especially the Book of Judges you will see a pattern of the people of Israel turning their backs on Jehovah and He withdraws His protection and blessing upon them.

This is not just an occurrence in the ancient times but in our modern times as well.

Look in recent history.

Before the great depression there were the roaring twenties.

Look at every time we go through a recession, before that there is a time of great prosperity.

 

A preacher once said that in the good times the churches are empty and in the bad times they are full.

 

If you are wondering why Jehovah has withdrawn His right hand (which symbolizes strength, protection and blessing) perhaps you should have a little talk with Him and find out if you have been ignoring Him in your worship and obedience.

Prayer: Please Jehovah Shammah (The Lord is present) forgive me for when I am a stubborn and disobedient child and refusing to follow Your Divine guidance. Please bless me to always be attentive to Your leading so as to be blessed with Your presence which is so desperately needed every day of my life. I humbly ask this in the name of He who always walks the closest to His Father Jesus Christ. Amen.

It Is Not Your Conscience

 A man knows to stop at a red light but insists upon driving through it. There is no accident so he laughs and  says:” See I went through a red light and nothing happened to me. What a stupid law.”                                

One day he runs the red light and is sided swiped by a transport truck. He becomes a cripple for life and cries:” Why did this happen to me?”

They Will Not Cheer You.

When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. Mark 8:34 New King James Version

How many want to glorify Christ with service like being a missionary or going on short term missions yet refuse to accept ridicule at home Joseph- Anthony: Green

To take up your cross is to face shame, humiliation form family, friends and those around you.  It was considered the worst type of death there was. You may face this on a daily basis or just for a while but it will come.

Instead of fighting back you need to depend upon Christ for the strength to continue on.

If you cannot handle the little persecution at home why do you think Christ will bless you with a bigger mission abroad?

Do not desire crosses unless you have borne well those laid upon you. It is an abuse to long after martyrdom whole unable to bear insult patiently. Frances de Sales.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Nissi (God goes out before you) for blessing me with walking in front of me during the times of trials and tribulation, sorrows and pain. Thank you that these times are a great blessing because they bond us together stronger than cement. Show That You are Very Happy

This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalms 118:24 New King James Version

Rejoice: To feel or show that you are very happy about something or someone. Merriam Webster’s Dictionary.

I know that when facing a terminal sickness, divorce or lay off or any other disaster in your life you will find it difficult to be feeling like being happy.

For me I make it a daily practice to contemplate upon all the trial and tribulations Jehovah has walked trough with me. This brings me comfort and makes my heart light with joy.

When the trails and tribulations strike again (and they will) those memories are the rock that secures me through those storms.

The closer we get to Christ the more we are going to suffer. The more we suffer, the closer we get to Christ. Joseph- Anthony: Green

The other side of the coin is when we are on our mountain tops and things are going great. Do not become arrogant and take credit for these blessings and say look what I did. It is important to show proper respect and appreciation for He who has provided for these blessings.

If you are not grateful for small blessings what makes you believe God will bless you with big ones. Joseph- Anthony: Green

Begin and end every day with rejoicing in the Lord and see how much your outlook in life improves, not necessarily your situation but your outlook.

Gods Love Is.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Psalms 23 New King James Version

Gods love, through Christ, is the rock of my salvation. I do not have to be afraid, even though enemies are all around me for I know He will fight for me.  The Sheppard’s rod was used to fight predators like lions and bears. Jehovah has the strongest rod of all.

Gods love cradles me and fine tunes my every care. In moments of weakness and despair Gods word reminds me of His love.

When I am hard pressed by circumstances and situations –going in the wrong direction- His love Divinely intervenes. He reminds me of how frail I am. The Sheppard’s staff was used to guide the flock. He does not beat his sheep but gently nudges them in the right direction. Jehovah will and does use circumstances to nudge us when we stray.

I daily request Him for abundant wisdom and for Him to enlighten my pathway of life.

I am forever grateful for God love which He abundantly freely bestows upon me.

Gods love is so amazingly patient and strong. I cannot live a day without Him.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Rohi (God is our Sheppard) for being the best Sheppard that guides this sometimes stubborn and obstinate sheep all the way to Heaven. I exalt You in the name of the greatest Sheppard Jesus Christ. Amen
