The Two Steps to Honor

The fear of the LORD teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor. Proverbs 15:33 New International Version

To fear the Lord in this context means to respect the Lord.

When we respect the Lord He will bless us with wisdom.

The difference between knowledge and wisdom is that knowledge teaches you something while wisdom teaches you how to use knowledge to improve you life.

For example: you know the speed limit and if you go over it you could get a ticket. Wisdom is where you do not go over the speed limit and will not face punishment.

Humility is when you are not proud or arrogant.

Then you are teachable and capable of putting your knowledge into action.

When this happens you will receive your due honor, if not from man, certainly from Jehovah.

Respect for our Heavenly Beloved brings us honor in Heaven Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Please Jehovah Chanan (God of grace) guide me to always be humbly respectful of Your awesome majesty. May You bless me with Your infinite wisdom so as to be an honorable child of Yours. I sincerely request this in the most honorable name Jesus Christ. Amen

First He must Break You.

My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise. Psalm 51:17 New International Version

Before you can be used by Jehovah you must first be broken.

There is something or someone in everyone’s lives that they put above Christ. For some it is family, for some it is their job, for some it is their ego. Whatever it is, it must be crushed by Christ.

For me it was someone and a situation was brought about where that bond was painfully broken.

After the healing it was then that Christ could use me.

The amazing thing is that I did not even realize I was a slave to my devotion.

Now I am free from that enslavement and there is a very deep, rewarding, loving relationship between my Beloved and me that I pray I never allow anyone or anything to destroy.

Prayer: Please Jehovah Elohim (God our creator) crush whatever comes between You and me so that I may have the immense honor of serving my beautiful Father. I humble request this in the name of He who served You all the way to the cross Jesus Christ. Amen.

It Is the Sweetest.

Now no one can look at the sun, bright as it is in the skies after the wind has swept them clean. Out of the north he comes in golden splendor; God comes in awesome majesty. Job 37:21-22 Holy Bible

I recently read an article where the author equated sunrise worship in nature with worshiping Baal or some other ancient deity.

I have to question whether the author is a city slicker.

It is with immense joy that I sit by the side of a stream in the early morning before sunrise. Just as the sun begins to rise a single bird with begin a beautiful song. So it is joined in by a chorus of other birds, frogs and crickets. I of course close my eyes and play what is in my heart as a morning love song to Jehovah. Oh what a wonderful sensation.

Afterwards He and I talk. It is a beautiful relationship.

Try sitting by the ocean or a lake and watch a sunrise or sunset and see if you do not feel an urge to have a heart to heart discussion with Jehovah.

Walk through a forest after a ice storm and see the icy crystals glistening and see if you do not marvel at Jehovah’s beauty.

Go for a walk through the forest during a light snowfall or walk through a meadow in the early morning drinking in the intoxicating fragrance of wildflowers and see if you do not feel close to Him and want to worship Him.

Indeed, didn’t David write His most beautiful Psalms while in the wilderness?

Non-serving Does Not Belong to Us.

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do Ephesians 2:10 New International Version

There is no such thing.

There is no such thing as a non-serving Christian.

Yes we have been saved by grace alone with Christ’s sacrifice on the cross.

That does not mean we can accept Christ and sit on our hands waiting for Him to take us to Heaven.

Once we become a member of Jehovah’s family He has His set chores for us to do. These are chores that are specially prepared just for us in our service to Christ.

Do not forget that if Jesus is our king then we are His servants.

What does a servant do?

They serve.

It need not be anything spectacular like missionary work. Whatever you do, when you do it for the glory of Christ, you are fulfilling your duties as His servant.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireh (God our provider) for the numerous opportunities You so graciously provide me with to serve You both great and small every day. I give thanks in the name of Your wonderful child who served You so admirably when we walked amongst us Jesus Christ. Amen.

What They Gave to Him, They Give to You.

Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. John 15:20 New International Version

Two words that are oxy morons: Christian and non-suffering.

Many people today have the false belief that when they give their lives to Christ it will be a cake walk and a bed of roses.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

When you commit your live to Christ you can expect to be persecuted.

Many times the worst persecution will come from your family. They will see the change in you and not like it. They will fight you to walk away from Christ. Most times this will mean you must walk away from family. It will be painful.

The same goes for friends. They will be confused as to why you have changes and will viciously mock you because of the change in your life. It will not be pleasant.

You can expect to be treated like a geek at school and work. You can expect people to go out of their way to make your life miserable.

But take heart. We have a savior who has walked that path before you so will comfort you and encourage you.

For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. 2 Corinthians 1:5 New International Version

I know, I have been there. I have had to walk away from family and friends and it was very painful.

I have been in jobs where I felt like I was the only person in the world because no one would talk with me because I was not dishonest. When that happens in a bush camp it can be very lonely.

In my agony I cried out to Jehovah and He sent the Holy Spirit who comforted, strengthened and encouraged me.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Yahweh (God of His people) for comforting and encouraging me during my times of persecution for our relationship. I consider it an honor to suffer for Your awesome name. I give thanks in the name of He who suffered all the way to the cross for me Jesus Christ. Amen

Did You Know That?

“Now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God — all because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done for us in making us friends of God” (Romans 5:11 New Living Testament).

Do you know that?

Do you know that when you accept Jesus Christ as your savior He instantly becomes your best friend?

Wow!

What an awesome thought huh?

Now just as with humans in order for there to be a friendship, we need to have the same interest and desire to share time together.

Do you enjoy spending time with your best friend?

Do you read His love letters to you, the Bible on a daily basis? For a deeper understanding of His love letters may I suggest  Our Daily Journal from RBC and Our Daily Bread by RBC.

Do you listen to His love songs for you, how much time do you spend listening to Christian music? May I suggest Praise 1065 and Joy Fm (St Louis or Florida).

I would like to suggest going to church, however, from a personal experience I find too many wolves amongst the sheep there (please read 2 Timothy 3:15 to see what I experience in church).

Do you listen to His message to you? I like going to seromonaudio.com and listening to Alistair Begg, Charles Spurgon Vance Havener and A.W. Tozer.

Now what makes people friends?

Could it be because they enjoy dong the same thing?

Well what did Jesus do when He was here?

Here is His guide to enjoy camaraderie with Him

Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 25: 34-40 New International Version

Speaking from personal experience,  in Canada, I have found doing volunteer work extremely rewarding. Both, in personal satisfaction and the knowledge that is was making my best friend very happy.

It is Your Choice.

Wisdom shouts in the street,
She raises her voice in the markets;
She calls out at the head of the noisy streets [where large crowds gather];

I have many so called guinuses in the stock moarket. I have met many who consider themselves experts at life. Interestingly enough they all fail in their lives. That is because they arrogantly depend upon themsleves instead of Jehovah for guidence. This transends every generation not just the young crowd. I have met many that would be considered paupers in the worlds standards but are some of the wisest folks I have ever met. I eagerly anticipated sitting at their feet and drinking in their incredible wisdom. One thing they all had in common was that they never took credit for themselves but alawys gave the glory where it belongs, unto Jehovah. Wisdoms value never diminishes but only increases in value when it comes from Jehovahs treasure house of knowledge. Begin with Me.

 My people, who are called by My Name, humble themselves, and pray and seek (crave, require as a necessity) My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear [them] from heaven, and forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 The Holy Bible Amplified Version  

This is the sequence of seeking reconciliation with with Jehovah.   

First you must humble yourself before Jehovah. Do not attempt to speak with Him as an equal or as if you are superior but rather as a repentant naughty child

Then you must have a deep remorse for your sins as a child who was naughty and has brought great grief unto the relative they love so much (I say relative because many do not have loving parents but everyone has a relative they have a deep loving relationship with). This must be done to continue with a desire improve our deep loving relationship with our Heavenly Father.

Finally we must turn from our wicked ways less they destroy this most important of all loving relationship.                

All wickedness has selfishness at its core. Joseph a son of Jehovah                   

We must turn from me first to Jehovah first. Then Jehovah will listen to our prayers. Then Our sins will be forgiven. Then our spirit will be healed first above all others.

There is No Half Way

How long are you going to waver between two opinions? If Jehovah is God, follow Him! But if Baal is God, then follow him!” 1 Kings 18:21 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

Christ will not accept anything but total worship, there is no half way with Him. Either dedicate your life totally to Him or do not waste your time because He only accepts all of your devotion.

There are many Baals in life that are thieves and steal worship that only belongs to Jesus in many Christians lives.

Many worship sensuality,it pollutes in movies, music and on TV. They change bed partners more than they change their underwear. What is the end of this destructive god you worship? You will not get to pick your poison, syphilis, gonorrhea or aids but you do get to accept in full the reward of following this harlot all the way to Hell.

Many worship worldly pleasures like mobile phones, fancy clothes, expensive cars, and houses they cannot afford, which means they become slaves to the bank to attain these dead gods. Go ahead fool, look at these gods and say: “I love you.” and see what their reply is.

Many sacrifice their souls on the alter of material wealth. They slave away for that extra dollar because they want to depend upon this useless god to take care of them in luxury. Where are they when you have sacrificed your mind, body and spirit to them and they are taken from you like dainty snow under the blistering heat of the noon day sun.

Many treat the scriptures like dung and worship faulty worldly knowledge over Jehovahs supreme pure Divine wisdom. They mock it, call it absurd and foolishly laugh at it. Jehovah has the last laugh as His word confuses you and you realize that those who profess to be so wise are actually nit wits.

Many worship creation (putting animals on equal ground as humans. How many foolishly call infant animals babies and treat them as a child and have more devotion towards them than they do their fellow man or woman?). Oh how they wail when they have to put their gods down because of old age or disease. When you become sick or in need of help to pay your bills where are they to help you?

How many absurdly call it mother nature instead of Jehovahs creation? Can mother nature bring you rain in season, sun in season or snow in season? Yes, I have prayed for rain and the prayer was answered in the affirmative. The weather forecast indicated that mother nature was going to bring us a hot sunny day. Whose god was more reliable?

These are all idols

Jehovah refuses to play second fiddle to any of them.

“Their hearts were devoted to their idols!” Ezekiel 20:16 Holy Bible, Amplified Version

There is only one idol in my life and to which I dedicate my life to. His name is Jesus. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Unto You and You alone do I swear my utmost alligence to Jehovah Eli (Lord my God). There is none equal to You much less supreme to You in my life. True Christian Love Must Be

 

The one who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love. [He is the originator of love, and it is an enduring attribute of His nature.] 1 John 4:8 The Holy Bible, Amplified Version

True Christian love must be . . .

Blended with all our habits. A habit is formed by repetition of actions over time until they become as natural to us as breathing. Therefore we need the Holy Spirit to guide us in our daily actions to habitually exhibit Christ’s love towards others at every opportune time that comes our way.

Diffused through all our conduct. Our conduct will be a spiritual by product of our habits.

Forming our character. Our character is formed by the the Divine will and attributes of Christ who has shown us what Holy character is by His actions.

It is His morals which is formed in or hearts , minds and actions not the perverted vile worldly ones. His is to be supreme in every action we partake every moment of every day. We can only succeed in this arduous undertaking through the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit to which we must constantly submit to whether it is delightful or difficult. Breathing in our desires.

Christian desire is for the the glorifying of Christ and the betterment of those around us with the ultimate goal of leading them into Jehovahs Holy family.

Speaking in our words. Loves words are encouraging, healing, teaching and comforting. The only way we can attain this is by constantly requesting the Holy Spirit guide our words and obeying His direction of speech in each individual circumstance.

Beaming in our eyes. Christian love must have gentle love in our eyes not earthly lusts nor hatred of prejudice towards others Love is the most difficult action we undertake every day.

Yet, it is also Divine in its nature and Heavenly in its rewards. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Please Jehovah Heseh (God is love) please bless me with an abundance of Divine love to bountifully share with others so as to emulate You. May this love direct them unto the greatest love, You which is one of the greatest gifts You may bless me with. I humbly beseech Thee in the name of He whose infinite love for me took Him all the way to the cross Jesus Christ. Amen
