Which Book Are You Showing?

 One man pretends to be rich, yet has nothing; another pretends to be poor, yet has great wealth. Proverbs 13:7, New International Version

It is said that in China there are three sets of books. One set you show the tax man at tax time that shows you are poor.

One set you show people who want to invest in your company that says you are rich. In reality they are no where near that wealthy.

Next they have a set of book that states that they are one step from bankruptcy. Again it i a lie. They are doing okay but do not want to pay the taxes. 

How many times do we see rich people who claim to be poor and bankrupt to cheat investors out of money?

In reality they have tons of money stashed off shore and life like kings while laughing at the suckers they fooled.

At the opposite end of the scale, how many times do wee see poor people pretending to be rich (another phrase may be “Keeping up with the Jones’” Just out of curiosity, who are these Jones’ anyway? I have never met them, have you?) They strut around like they are so haughty and pretend to be wealthy but in reality they are in debt up to their eyeballs playing this stupid game.

Then lastly there is the real set of books which states how much the man or woman is really worth. That one they try to hide.

My motto is “who are you that I have to impress you?

This is me, if you like me let’s be friends, if you don’t like me let’s try to get along in spite of our differences.”

Now  we all want and need attention sometimes, but let’s be wise, not stupid.

If you pretend to be something you are not, when the truth is discovered you will be the laughing stock and will be humiliated.

On the other side of the coin is Jesus. He says: “Come as you are, warts and all. I will love you.”

Speaking from experience I can assure you that no earthly relationship can even begin to compare to the exhilarating and awesome relationship Jesus has to offer and will give to any and all who accept Him.

See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! 1 John 3:1 New Living Translation

Prayer: Thank you Jesus Emet (God of truth) for blessing me with the wisdom and integrity to live the life of truth. You, Jehovah and the Holy Spirit are the only ones I desire to impress.

The gift of love, the gift of joy, the gift of peace, these are the greatest gifts that can be given. They are given in abundance to all those in Christs family by our Heavenly loving  Father. I’m Giving it All Away.

 Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?” Matthew 6:25-27 The Holy Bible, New Living Translation

This is for the worry worts.

You know they type, if there isn’t a crisis in their life, they will make one.

Why do you waste your time, effort and health on such frivolous things?

Not me, I give it all away.

Give it all away to Jesus that is. If you claim to be a Christian that is what you are supposed to do. Give all your troubles to Jehovah. Believe in Him. Believe He will soothe all your frets and provide a solution to you.

After all He took care of an entire nation, feeding them and caring for them, for forty years in the dessert, we are of course talking about the Israelite’s in the Exodus. And, they numbered over two million. If He can do that, what is your problem compared to that.

Worry is an insult to Jehovah. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Pray a sincere prayer and read your Bible.

Sometimes you may have to wait for your solution. How long did Abraham wait for the birth of Isaac. You cannot rush God; He works on His time, not yours.

Another thing, God is all wise. His answer may not be what you want, but is always in your best interest. He knows much more than you.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him Romans 8:28 The Holy Bible, New Living Translation.

So, when you finally receive your answer, don’t sit on your hands, take action. It is a partnership. He will supply the solution to your problem and the tools necessary to resolve the situation. BUT, YOU must take the action needed for resolution. It is teamwork.

And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again. We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us.”

So, what are you waiting for?

Do it now. Open up your heart and pour all your worry upon Him. He is waiting to hear from you.

One of the Most Harmful Habits.

 

 

 “There can be no doubt that possessive clinging to things is one of the most harmful habits in the Christian life. Because it is so natural, it is rarely recognized for the evil that it is. But its outworkings are tragic.” A. W. Tozer

At one time I worked a lot of overtime and invested my money according to the advice of financial planners (Be careful of them. They are not all good as I sadly found out). I lived a very frugal lifestyle just to save up for a comfortable early retirement. Alls I lived for was to stash money away to make that baby grow. Sadly events occurred that wiped me out not once but three times. I felt totally devastated and if the world had literally ended. Each time I wanted to give up but went right back to it again. During this time my Bible gathered dust and the only time I talked with my beloved was when I wanted something from Him. Our relationship was on life support. When things crashed I went to Him but when the new nest egg stared growing I deserted Him for the nest egg. What a pitiful life it was. It was one of the most harmful habits that could exist in anyones life.

Finally, when I had nothing left I surrendered unto the Holy Spirit. Through decades (talk about a slow learned huh) He taught me to be submissive and obedient unto Jehovah’s calling in my life. Yes it has been hard but that was a blessing because it has brought us ever closer together. The harder the times the closer it brings me to Jehovah. Joseph- Anthony: Green I have a deep respect, love and admiration for my Beloved Father, King and Holy Teacher. This is the greatest treasure of all. Through it all He has always provided fro my needs (not wants which is fleshly).

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah-Jireh (God is our Provider) for Your daily provision which You graciously bless me with. I thank You in the name of He whose cherished sacrifice made this possible Jesus Christ. Amen.

Will Not be Blessed

An inheritance claimed too soon will not be blessed at the end. Proverbs 20:21 New International Version

It is very common today for children to want their inheritance be given to them even though their parents are still alive. It is because they have foolishly gone in debt over their heads and expect their parents to pay for their extravagant lifestyle and bail them out.

That is like saying you wish your parents were dead.

That is a cursed thing in the eyes of Jehovah.

The children who do attain their inheritance do not curtail their unwise lifestyle but continue on falsely believing mommy and daddy will be there to bail them out again.

When mommy and daddy die and there is no money left in their inheritance to support their luxurious lifestyle and they lose everything. I can see great suffering coming soon to todays youth.

When the well runs dry oh how terrible the consequences will be for those living off of others. Joseph- Anthony: Green

Prayer: Please Jehovah-Naheh (the Lord who Smites) convict the wicked, selfish, self centered ones and move them to repent. Teach them to show proper respect and give loving care to their aged parents. Speak into the hearts of the parents to appreciate the loving care and sacrifice their children are giving towards them. I humbly ask this in the name of the son who cared for His mother while suffering an agonizing death Jesus Christ. Amen

Enjoy Your Feast Now You Filthy Pigs.

Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you! Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a  witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days. Indeed the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth. Unfortunately in todays world we too much of workers being paid sub standard wages and getting cheated out of them. Those higher up get away with exorbitant compensation packages even if they run the company into the ground. This is true for both the government and private sector. Enjoy your feast now you filthy pigs. Oh you laugh and foolishly believe you are getting away with it but your day is coming and when it does oh woe to you. I recently read an article where in the seventies the difference between the lowest paid work and the executives was 100% and now it is 1,000% How can they sleep at night is beyond me. Then there are the war pigs who go and start wars in other countries to keep the war machine pumping out money into their pockets. This is done not only at the expense of the invaded country but of the citizens living where the war pigs live (yes this is you Bushes and Reagan’s in the United States. How many of your youths blood do you have on your hands?). I do earnestly pray that Peters vision of Hell is true just to know true justice is done to these horrid creatures and the others that feed off of them. To me this is a sure sign we are closer than ever to the rapture.

When He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.” So I looked, and behold, a black horse, and he who sat on it had a pair of scales in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, “A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.” Revelation 6:5-6 King James Version                                      

A denarius was a days wages, barley is what the poor people ate and three quarts was enough to live off of for a day. Only the rich could afford olive oil (and they cheated folks out of their land to grow huge olive groves which they got filthy rich from. The same was true for wine).

How many family farms do we see today?

How many people all around the world are living paycheck to paycheck?

How many rich people have more money per year than many countries GDP?

Prayer: Please Jehovah-Hashopet  (The Lord is the supreme Judge) speak into the hearts of the wicked rich ones and move them to do what is right and pay decent livable wages and to be honest so as to avoid facing Your terrible wrath on the day of judgment. I humbly request this in the name of the Supreme Judge Jesus Christ. Amen

This Cannot Keep Going On.

 

“Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you enter the land I am going to give you, the land itself must observe a Sabbath to the Lord. For six years sow your fields, and for six years prune your vineyards and gather their crops. But in the seventh year the land is to have a year of Sabbath rest, a Sabbath to the Lord. Do not sow your fields or prune your vineyards. Do not reap what grows of itself or harvest the grapes of your untended vines. The land is to have a year of rest. Do you believe just because it is old it is worthless?

The Word of God is older than the hills. It is to be trusted and obeyed because it is the wisest.

Because they did not obey Gods commandment in the United States and give the land a rest, is it not a historical fact that that is what caused the “dust bowl” of the nineteen thirties?

Now concerning the farmland in the world, how many farmers give their crops a years rest?

Indeed, how much farmland in the world is owned by big companies like Monsanto? Do they care about obeying Gods word or about profit?

You see, it used to be that farmers rotated their crops. That meant that one year they would grow say vegetables and the next use it for cows to graze on. It allowed the ground to regain the nutrients it gave up to the vegetable the year before.

Now, because they do not give the land a rest it is growing weaker and weaker every year. This means they have to put stronger and stronger fertilizer on it. This means there are less and less nutrients in our food.

It is true that fruits and vegetables grown decades ago were much richer in vitamins and minerals than the varieties most of us get today. Eventually it is going to collapse.

When that happens, and it could happen any time now, there is going to be a world wide famine like never before in history.

When that happens, do not say:” God, how can you do this to us?”

It is not Gods fault, it is mans for refusing to obey Gods wise command.

What are you doing to take care of the land around you?

Prayer: Please Jehovah Elohim (God our creator) move people to more sustainable and organic farming and move their hearts to obey Your discerning Word. I ask this in the name of He who feeds us spiritually Jesus Christ. Amen.

To Me To Prosper Is Not

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. To me  to prosper is not to gain material wealth but rather to grow in the spiritual wealth in Jesus’ precious love.

 

Material wealth comes and goes like a summer rain.  Joseph- Anthony: Green

As well it is like a sprinkle on the parched land.

It feels good while the sprinkle is happening, but when the sprinkle ends the land cries for more.

 

So too it is with material wealth.

Yes you feel happy when you have all the newest toys but quickly grow bored of them and then yearn for something more.

Material wealth is like being addicted to heroin. At first just a little will do but you quickly need more and stronger until it destroys you.

I am blessed with a spiritual love affair with Christ and my life is filled with peace, joy, and contentment (the gifts of the love of the Holy Spirit).

Comparing material wealth to spiritual wealth is like comparing a bowl of rice to a smorgasbord of fresh fruit and vegetables prepared by a talented chef.

Prayer: Oh my beloved Jesus, You are so wonderful Please bless me with the life giving refreshing waters of Your Spirit. As a tree’s roots receives nourishment from the soil, thank you for blessing me with the blessing of Your spirit in my life. I gratefully thank You in the name of he whose blood has made this precious gift possible Jesus Christ. Amen.

The Three Attacks.

Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

In the first attack Satan tempted Jesus’ material needs.

The longest I have fasted was twenty eight days and I can tell you, you become acutely aware of all the fragerant smells of all the food around you.

So Satan tempted Jesus with His hunger.

So too does he tempt us with material things which become things we give in to such as spending too much time working for your house that it takes time away from Bible study and prayer.

 

Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written: “‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’”

 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”

This is the second attack. The devil will tempt you to do stupid things like maybe go into a dangerous neighborhood alone to share the gospel believing Jehovah will send angels to protect you. If Jesus does not send you there and you go on your own, you are tempting God.

Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.  “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”  Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’”

 

This is the third attack. Satan tempts you to surrender your morals to become popular, to gain prestige and to gain wealth.

From my experience when you make this deal with the Devil you not only surrender your soul, you surrender your heart. In time not only do you lose your popularity, prestige and wealth but you have lost your heart and soul.

Just look at all the former sports stars, TV stars and popular singers of days gone by. Almost all of them are living in abject poverty now.

Prayer: Please Jehovah Jireh (God our provider) bless me with the necessary tools to defeat the cunning deceiver Satan when he comes a knocking so as to protect me from his conniving attacks and deception.
