The Better You Become.

The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you. Philippians 4:9 New King James Version                                                                                     

 A man drops out of school, gets married and raises a son. The man teaches the son how to tie his shoes. The man did not attend university to learn how to be a parent, he passes on what every good father teaches his children.                                                                                     

So too it is with a Christian.                                                                              

You need not attend seminary to become a preacher because preacher means teacher. You just use the lessons you have learned from your Christian mentors.                                                                                             

Mind you, this is a life time experience.                                                 

The more you practice it the better you become.                                              

The more you learn from other mentors the better you become.                 

The more you learn from your own successes and failures the better you become.                                                                                                           

So, what are you waiting for go out and begin teaching right now right? Wrong.

The first step is to pray and wait.                                                                     

When the time is right Jehovah shall begin your teaching career. He shall provide you with the proper mentors and the proper place, time and soul to begin your lifelong preaching career.                                       

Prayer: Please Jehovah     bless me to always have the wisdom to always follow Your divine guidance in my life even when I do not understand where or why You are leading down the pathway to Heaven. I humbly request this in the name of Your most obedient son Jesus Christ. Amen.

In My Mind.

I want you in my

Lord, I want you in my mind. I want Your insight into every aspect of my life.

You taught me wisdom in that secret place.Psalm 51:6 Hint: the secret place can be found in a place that rhymes with dible.

I want Your thoughts to be my thoughts, all day, every day.

I want the loving heart of the great shepherd Jesus towards everyone. I ask for the privilege to show Your holy love to all that come my way this day.

I want You in my life. I want our relationship to be first and utmost in my life.

I want You in my eyes and ears. I want to see You and hear You in everything I see and hear. I want You in my hands. I want You to guide my hands to do the things You desire me to do.

Can you imagine walking with Jesus?

When we allow Him to, He walks with us every day.

My Wild Turkey Prayer.

But certainly God has heard me; He has attended to the voice of my prayer. Psalm 66:19 New King James Version                                         

I have been praying to my Beloved for over a year to bless me with the opportunity to photograph some wild deer and wild turkeys.                                               

Recently I suffered from an episode of burn out.                                    

 Every day for the past five months I had been involved in strenuous work to improve my aged disabled moms (I am her primary care giver)place.

As well, there was three days a week performing volunteer work which involved continuously moving for three hours each session.                                                                                         

One day I hit the wall.                                                                                     

 I bicycled out to Gods Cathedral (nature) dropped to my knees and cried like a baby while shaking like a leaf in a wind storm.                                

 I cried out to my Beloved to explain what was happening as I did not understand.                                                                                                    

His reply came in two words:” Go camping.”                                                     

 I replied: “My Lord, I just suffered a melt down and You want me to go out camping?”                                                                                                         

Then He explained that I was suffering burn out because I had violated His Law. Six days we shall work and then rest on the seventh. Because I did not do this both my mind and body were exhausted.

I needed rest and where better to get rest than Gods Cathedral (nature)? So I informed mom I was going camping for three days (mom needs care but it is time for the rest of the family to step forward and help out for once).                                                                            

 Jehovah guided me to a nice place on the side of a forested hill.                            

The next morning while saying prayer the Lord interrupted and told me to go say the prayers on the edge of the forest by the farmers field. I thought this a good idea as it is better to say my prayers in Gods Cathedral (nature) than the inside of a tent. While saying the prayers I noticed a flash of white and took no notice as I thought it was a grouse. As I was continuing to say the prayers the Lord urged me to look to my right. There was a white tailed deer that almost walked into me. I quickly took a photo even thought it was foggy out.                                

 The last day out as I was leaving the Lord urged me to go down a little trail. As it had been cold and rainy all weekend I just wanted a hot bath and warm meal (I fasted on home made fruit juice all weekend) but obeyed. Then He directed me to take a photo of a hill covered in beautiful fall foliage. I did not want to at first because many photos were taken the previous day but am glad I obeyed.                               

When I got home there was something in that photo so it was enlarged. There on the bottom of the hill were seven wild turkeys (do you know that God promises to bless us seven times in the Bible). The photo looks great.                                                                                                  

Not only did my Beloved heal, refresh and renew me that weekend He blessed me with the photo’s I was praying for, for over a year.                               

Jehovah constantly amazes me at the incredible (and even humourous) ways He answers my prayers.  Joseph- Anthony: Green

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Emunah(Jehovah is faithful ) for promising to answer my prayers in Your time and Your amazing ways. You inform us to pray without ceasing, believing You will answer our prayers and You are always faithful to answer them in Your Divine way and Your Divine time. I exalt You in the name of He who came to earth to pay for my sins in Your time and in Your way   Jesus Christ. Amen

Which Disease do You Have?

Do you have any of these?

Complaining is infectious

Complaining is infectious, contagious. Have you ever been around a negative Nellie? All she does is complain. Either it is too hot or too cold. We need rain or it is raining out. She can take the sails out of your cherry day in five minutes. Complaining changes your attitude. You become a very negative person. Usually it is manipulative theft. They complain about things in their life to get you to have pity on them. This gives them affection while they give you nothing in return.

I politely try to have a positive attitude with them. If they refuse to change their attitude I strongly but politely inform them their attitude is not welcome and if all they want to do is be negative go whine to someone else. Either their attitude changes or they avoid me.

Either way, problem solved.

Nagging is destructive

Nagging is destructive to relationships. If anything you do is never good enough you reach the point of not trying. Usually I just step back and ask them to show me a better way. Most times they shut up and leave me alone. They would rather nag than help reach a constructive solution. How many children have given up because of a nagging parent?

As a teacher I see it a lot. I always try to be positive and encouraging with far superior results

Doubting is destructive

Doubting is destructive not only to you but to everyone around you. How many times has a great plan everyone is hyped up to start crash and burn because one doubting Dave destroys it with his negativity.

How many times I have experienced people tell me if I tried something it would fail. People told me I would fail when I tried tree planting. After thirteen years I planted over a million trees all across Canada.

When I informed people I was going to bicycle from Canada to Mexico everybody laughed and told me I would fail. It took me three months to complete the trip. The list goes on and on

If you feel Jehovah is guiding you to do something do not listen to the doubting Daves. Go for it believing He will always provide you with the tools to succeed.

Wandering is humbling

Wandering is humbling because you usually take small baby steps away from the path Jesus has chosen for you to take in your service to Him. One day it will be like a exploding flash of lightening just how far you have wandered. The devil will laugh and tell you Jesus is angry with you and does not love you anymore. Do not believe that filthy liar. Jesus loves you and anxiously waits for you to return to Him. Such incredible love is very humbling.

Prayer: Oh wonderful Abba please do not allow me to spread infectious diseases, but rather I humbly give my life to you to guide to accomplish Your mission for my life. In Jesus’ wonderful name I ask Amen

To the Third Generation

What does your generation look like?

I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments. Exodus 20:5-6 New International Version

Now this does not mean that if your parents commit a sin, you will be punished for it.

What it means is that if you have a bad habit and do not obey Gods commandment to control it and teach your children to control it when they inherit it from you then they will be punished.

For me I inherited being stubborn and self suffient. It took God three years to constantly make my life difficult before I surrendered it to Him.

When it is inherited we have little control over it. Whenever we try to control it by our own will be fail miserably. It is only when we surrender to God that He will control it.

I used to hold a grudge for years and if you crossed me look out. May God have mercy on you because I wouldn’t. I was mean, cruel and spiteful. Now when someone crosses me I forgive them and put it in Gods hands. My life now is filled with peace, joy and contentment.

Parents THAT is what you need to teach your children both by words and by your own behavior.

On the other hand, I see children that their great grandparents were self centered, arrogant and mean spirited. Each advancing generation was never taught how to live a Christian lifestyle. They are little devils and I can’t stand to be around them. I watched their great grandparents and grandparents suffer in their final years alone, bitter and broken.

When on the other hand you teach and show your children how to live a Christian life and they follow in your footsteps their lives will be blessed. Oh, it will be difficult, but they will have a loving relationship with Christ to walk them through it.

I have watched the great grandparents and grandparents be blessed in their final years with peace, joy, contentment and love. The parents are very nice people and their children are very delightful to be around.

This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. Deuteronomy 30:19-20 New International Version

What type of inheritance are you leaving your children?

Prayer: Thank you Doctor Jehovah for surgically removing the weakness in me that was and is destructive. Thank you for implanting in me the memorizing of calling on You to remove these from me when they come a calling. I give thanks for this awesome gift in the name of He who casts out demons Jesus Christ. Amen.

This is a Tough One.

This may be hard for you to believe, but is true.

“I tell you, do not worry about your life…Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” Matthew 6:25-26 New International Version

This is a tough one.

Many times in my life I have experienced great difficulties.

One time being unemployed and having no money I had to collect pop bottles and beer bottles in ditches to get enough money to buy a loaf of bread and jar of honey to live off of for week. It ended up for my own good as that was necessary to get me to move to a different city where there were jobs. Through it all though, even though I didn’t know it Jesus was taking care of me. He just had to use a severe method to get me to do what was good for me.

When we lose our job or have an accident and cannot support ourselves we worry. We worry about our retirement plans.

Why?

Does it change the situation?

No!

Now, many decades later I have learned to always put my trust in our Abba in Heaven. I know now that He loves me and takes care of me. As long as I am walking in the path He has chosen for me He has always provided for me.

If it seems as if God is far from you and is not helping you, perhaps you should ask God if you are in the wrong place or doing the wrong thing. If so, of course He will hold back His precious gift for you.

If not, then He is using this difficult time to teach you so you will grow even closer to Him.

Prayer: Even though the many times on the potter’s wheel have been difficult, I thank you Jehovah Elohim (God our creator) for molding me into the vessel You can use in Your marvelous kingdom.

We Fess Up

It is the only way

We all mess up in life don’t we? Welcome to life. When we confess our sins before God they are forgiven. We all have things that are generically inherited that we know is wrong. Yet, they have too strong a grip on us. That is why it is important to lay them at the feet of Jesus. Not only will He forgive us but when we place these terrible things at His feet, He will heal us.

I am an alcoholic that was inherited by family genes. For years I tried quitting only to fail. One day while hanging my head in the toilet puking I called out to Jesus “Jesus save me or I am going to die. This is too strong for me to handle.” In that instant I stopped drinking and have not touched a drop since. Since then Jesus has molded me to serve Him.

Do not allow your sin to hang over your head like the Sword of Damocles, give it to Jesus.

But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.Psalm 130:4 New International Version

Prayer: Thank you Jesus Ropheka (Jesus our healer) for the incredible blessing of healing me from that destructive force in my life. Thank you for giving me a purpose in live in serving You. I give thanks in Your magnificent balming name. Amen.

It is Just as Important

It is just as important to do it.

“Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it” Luke 11:28 New International Version

It is one thing to hear God speak to you, it is just as important to do it.

Think of a child.

The parent informs them it is important to go outside in the cold rain with a coat on.

They hear but do not obey.

What is the end result?

They get sick.

So too it is with God.

When He instructs you to do something it is for your own good.

If you refuse to obey Him you will suffer for it.

When you are suffering why be stupid and crybaby to God: “Why are you doing this to me?”

Now how are you going to hear the word of God if you are sitting in front of the idiot box instead of reading your Bible or listening to sermons online?

“Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.“Psalm 37:4 New International Version

As you delight in doing Gods will in your life, your desires will turn from whining for God to give to you but for God to change your desires to do for Him. When you do this your life will be filled with joy, purpose and meaning.

Then you will get the blessings God intends for you to get.

“Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” Matthew 6:25–34 New International Version

Prayer: Holy Spirit my mentor, please give me the wisdom to not just hear the word but to do it. I humbly ask in the name of He who obeyed the Fathers will during His earthly ministry Jesus Christ. Amen.

This Cannot Keep Going On.

 

“Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you enter the land I am going to give you, the land itself must observe a Sabbath to the Lord. For six years sow your fields, and for six years prune your vineyards and gather their crops. But in the seventh year the land is to have a year of Sabbath rest, a Sabbath to the Lord. Do not sow your fields or prune your vineyards. Do not reap what grows of itself or harvest the grapes of your untended vines. The land is to have a year of rest. Do you believe just because it is old it is worthless?

The Word of God is older than the hills. It is to be trusted and obeyed because it is the wisest.

Because they did not obey Gods commandment in the United States and give the land a rest, is it not a historical fact that that is what caused the “dust bowl” of the nineteen thirties?

Now concerning the farmland in the world, how many farmers give their crops a years rest?

Indeed, how much farmland in the world is owned by big companies like Monsanto? Do they care about obeying Gods word or about profit?

You see, it used to be that farmers rotated their crops. That meant that one year they would grow say vegetables and the next use it for cows to graze on. It allowed the ground to regain the nutrients it gave up to the vegetable the year before.

Now, because they do not give the land a rest it is growing weaker and weaker every year. This means they have to put stronger and stronger fertilizer on it. This means there are less and less nutrients in our food.

It is true that fruits and vegetables grown decades ago were much richer in vitamins and minerals than the varieties most of us get today. The main culprit in this disturbing nutritional trend is soil depletion: Modern intensive agricultural methods have stripped increasing amounts of nutrients from the soil in which the food we eat grows. http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=soil-depletion-and-nutrition-loss

Eventually it is going to collapse.

When that happens, and it could happen any time now, there is going to be a world wide famine like never before in history.

When that happens, do not say:” God, how can you do this to us?”

It is not Gods fault, it is mans for refusing to obey Gods wise command.

What are you doing to take care of the land around you?

Prayer: Please Jehovah Elohim (God our creator) move people to more sustainable and organic farming and move their hearts to obey Your discerning Word. I ask this in the name of He who feeds us spiritually Jesus Christ. Amen.

What does Satan’s light look like?

Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. 2 Corinthians 11:14-15 New International Version

What does Satan’s light look like?

One way Satan deceives Christians is with the gospel of prosperity.

Oh yes, you become a Christian and God becomes your servant giving you everything you want like a spoiled brat.

Becoming a servant of Christ (where you serve Him, not He serves you) is hard and encompasses a lot of sacrifice.

From my own personal experience and that of others being a Christian means a lot of suffering.

How many so called Christians run away at the first experience of hafting to chose Christ and suffer for it?

Are you ready to lose your friends because you refuse to go out and get drunk on the weekend and have one night stands or to use vulgar language?

Are you ready to lose your job because you refuse to cheat a client?

Are you ready to walk away from your family because they give you the choice between being a Christian or of being a member of your biological family?

Are you willing to leave the comforts of your home country to serve Christ in very primitive settings (no internet, no mobile phones, no MacDonald’s)?

I can say yes I have to each and every one of them.

A non suffering Christian is an oxymoron of words. The two do not belong together. Joseph- Anthony: Green

He can give you all your hearts desire so that you become lazy in your devotion to Christ.

“Give me only my daily bread. Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, ‘Who is the Lord?’ Or I may become poor and steal and so dishonor the name of my God.” Proverbs 30:8-9 New International Version

There was a time when I lived a very comfortable life. In that time the Bible was never read and there was no communion between God and me (except when I wanted something from Him). Oh, I did plenty of volunteer work but there was no relationship between God and me. That is not a blessing but a curse. You are so content with your life you spend no time with Christ. He can pretend to be an angel of light by being judgmental. He will bring up filth in your past and or condemn you when you fall into temptation.

When I first became a Christian I bragged that I could defeat Satan. He tempted me to have a beer. Being an alcoholic of course one beer led to another and me getting blotto. When I woke up surrounded by empty beer bottle Satan was right there to accuse me. “Look at you, how can you claim to be a Christian when you are nothing but a good for nothing drunk?” I felt deep shame, but thankfully repented to Jesus and then opened the Bible to this verse.

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free Romans. 8:1-2 New International Version

By the way, here is something for you self righteous to think about: When you are quick to point the finger accusingly at others, are you serving Christ, or are you serving Satan?

Do you drive people towards Christ or away from them?

He can pollute the law of grace. “Hey, Jesus died for your sins so it is okay to just go out and do what you want then say a few Hail Mary’s tomorrow.”

Do not ever abuse the precious painful sacrifice Christ made for you by believing you can willfully go out and commit any sin you want and Jesus will for give you.

Do you think you can go out and booze it up on Saturday night, them Go into Church, sing some songs, probably sleep last nights drunk off during the sermon and put the change from your pocket into the collection box and that is okay with Jesus? Do you think having an affair during the week, then pretending nothing happened on Sunday is okay with Jesus? Do you think Jesus understands of you cheated on that test last week is okay?

Unless you repent, you too will all perish. Luke 13:3 New International Version

Now repent not only means admitting what you did, admitting it was wrong and saying you are sorry, but also to STOP DOING IT!!!

He can be a twister.

He can twist Bible verses to say the exact opposite of what they mean. Just look at the above example.

Read about how he twisted the scripture to Jesus when he tempted Him in the desert.

That is why it is best to test what you believe is being said against other Christian teachers.

Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. Proverbs 15:22New International Version

Prayer: Holy Spirit Rabbi (Holy Spirit our Teacher) please open my eyes to Your truth and the wisdom to see through Satan’s destructive lies. I ask this in the name of He who saw through Satan’s wicked deception in the wilderness Jesus Christ. Amen.
