Sometimes the only way to learn is through the hard times.

In the easy times we tend to take things more lightly, especially concerning our obedience to Jehovah.

My life is a testimony to that.

It is in the hard times I learned the most and grew the most. They definitely were not enjoyable but I praise Jehovah for putting through them.

One good aspect of this type of learning is our appreciation for our Heavenly Teacher for the manner in which He teaches us the lesson. He does so in a manner in which the lesson will never be forgotten.

The other is that we more mature Christians use these lessons to pass on to those not as mature as us, hopefully to prevent them from making the same errors as us. For those going through the lessons, it encourages them to submit to the teachers instructions.

“Affliction comes to the believer not to make him sad, but sober; not to make him sorry, but wise. Even as the plow enriches the field so that the seed is multiplied a thousandfold, so affliction should magnify our joy and increase our spiritual harvest.” — Henry Ward Beecher

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah ‘Uzam (The Lord is our Strength in Trouble) for blessing me with so many afflictions. Although they were not enjoyable at the times, they were necessary to mature me in my walk towards You in Heaven. Thank you for blessing me with the strength to not only endure them but to prosper because of them. I praise You in the name of He who endure the worse affliction of all for me Jesus Christ. Amen

Who may ascend onto the mountain of the Lord?

The mountain was the meeting place with Jehovah.

If we desire an intimate relationship with Him, when we come to Him in prayer it is necessary for us to not be worshiping anything or anyone else other that Him.

We need to have integrity in our lives. It is necessary that our hands are clean. That is, that we have dealt honestly with everyone and not been deceitful.

Our hearts are to be pure. That means that we are not thinking about fleshly lust or revenge or being arrogant towards others.

To lift up our soul falsely means that we are not to gossip (which is spreading lies about others and spreading rumours, which can hurt or destroy others) and are not to give false testimony about others which will hurt them in court or in relationships.

To swear an oath in deceit means that we make promises that we have no intention of keeping. That is a form of lying. All of these things are detestable to Jehovah.

What right do you have to come to the temple of Jehovah when you are practicing the rituals of satan? Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Tsidkenu (The Lord is Righteousness) for teaching me and helping me to be righteous enough to enter into You most Holy Tabernacle (we have our own which is a great story). I love spending time with You more than anything else in this world and look forward to spending eternity with You. Thank you for convicting me of any offences and the proper manner in which to repent of them. I praise You in the name of He whose blood opened the door to our Tabernacle Jesus Christ. Amen

The Highlands of Affliction.

Those who say that being a Christian is easy are definitely not a Christian.

Being a Christian means a lifetime of suffering. We will be rejected, mocked and be going through constant trials and tribulations.

This is good because it makes us dependent upon Jehovah which draws us ever closer unto Him.

As well, it strengthens our Christian walk.

It is also good because when we encounter hurting folks we can share with them the amazing things Jehovah has done through our tough times.

The other benefit is that we will not desire for this world but rather for the home in which our Heavenly Father has prepared for us.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah ‘Uzam (The Lord is our Strength in Trouble) for blessing me with Your Divine strength to make through the tough times and for using those tough times to strengthen Your loving child and well as the life changing lessons learned through these fiery times. I exalt You in the name of He who suffered the worst affliction for me Jesus Christ. Amen

I Use Both

  “I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

I use both as a light unto my closest friend. His name is Jesus.

I use both the good times and the bad ones as a light unto Christ.

The hard times shine the light of how He held my hand through the darkest clouds of sorrow and the difficultest of times. How He gently heals me of both big and small wounds. How He is strong yet gentle. How His love and strength was what got me through them. We are not to whine about them but rather to rejoice in them for it shows His providential care.

I use the good times to show His marvelous generosity to those He loves. How even the littlest of blessing shows His magnitude of love for me. Folks need to hear both. It makes Him real to them and some eager to join His Holy family.

Prayer: Please Jehovah Kal El (voice of God) bless me with ample opportunities to give testimony of Your amazing blessings and how the best ones were how You walked through my many trials and tribulations with me . Allow me to speak of the wonderful loving blessings You have generously given me in my life time. I ask this in the name of the most beautiful blessing You have shared with me Jesus Christ. Amen.

The gift of love, the gift of joy, the gift of peace, these are the greatest gifts that can be given. They are given in abundance to all those in Christs family by our Heavenly loving  Father. May you be blessed with plentiful opportunities to share these with those around you today.

We Need to Be.

 

 But you will receive power and ability when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses [to tell people about Me] both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8 Holy Bible, Amplified Version

In a courtroom a witness is someone who has seen or hear and event.

The greatest tool Jehovah has blessed us with to bring others unto Him is we ourselves. We are to be a witness for Him. Folks will listen much more aptly to your testimony of what Jesus has done in your life and through your life than when you shove a Bible in their face.

As well, when you emulate Christ in your life, you will stand out from the crowd. Curious souls will come and inquire why you are different. Then, you will be a witness for Christ.

Let the light of the Holy Spirit shine brightly in your spirit so as to be a beacon to a dark world. Many so called Christians try to convert unbelievers to their denomination more so than they do to explain who Christ is and why He is the only one to be worshipped.

As Christians we need not be Bible thumpers, we need to be Christs witnesses. Joseph a son of Jehovah

To Surrender is Brave

God’s program of instruction which is grounded in faith [and requires surrendering the entire self to God in absolute trust and confidence].1 Timothy 1:4 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

 I surrender to Jehovah completely. He does not accept anything else. That is the reason I love that song:”I surrender all”. It is one of the anthems of my life.

It has taken me decades to learn to trust Jehovah in every aspect of my life.

There has been so many times He has asked (Jehovah never demands anything of His children. He is too much of a gentleman to do that) to do things that seemed totally absurd to me. When I surrendered my will unto His, He accomplished amazing things in my life and through my life.

There were so many times I was completely convinced in a certain course of action but He asked me not to take it. It seemed insane not to disobey Him and go my own way using my limited wisdom. Indeed many mocked me for obeying a make believe God in the sky. In retrospect I am glad to have obeyed Him because those that did take that way ended up in total disaster.

Surrender is not an act of bravery but an act of trust and love unto He who loves us so much more that we could ever love Him back.

My life is a testimony that He never leads us the wrong way nor does not warn us of the wrong trail to travel down in life. He has a one hundred percent success rate. Now that is the type of adviser I wisely listen to and obey.

Prayer: I surrender body, spirit and mind totally unto You Jesus Rohi ( Jesus is our Divine Shepherd ) as the only voice I shall follow in every aspect of my life. This is done in the knowledge that because You love me You only desire what is best for me. Because You are the wisest of all, You know what is best for me. In humbly surrender unto You my Beloved Heavenly King I do make this pledge. Amen

Must Mean Everything to Us.

Therefore I urge you,brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies [dedicating all of yourselves, set apart] as a living sacrifice, holy and well-pleasing to God, which is your rational (logical, intelligent) act of worship.Romans 12:1 Holy  Bible Amplified Version

Most western Christians have it backwards. They falsely believe that Jesus is here to serve them. They only call on Him when they want something from Him whether it is to solve a problem or whether it is because they want something from Him. When He blesses them with their request they are rude and ungrateful and do not even thank Him.

That is not the Christian life.

The Christian live is to dedicate ones self to Christ in serving Him. His will is to always supersede theirs. We are to lay our desires upon the alter and to completely surrender to their will in their lives. After all we were created to do specific works He has prepared for us to do.

For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us]. Ephesians 2:10 Holy  Bible Amplified Version

The Christian motto is to be: Christ first, others second, self last. Joseph a son of Jehovah

When others see our sacrificial works they will become intrigued and ask us why  we live such a life. This will be our greatest testimony and evangelism of all. We are to be a living testimony for Him.

Do not tell me of your Christ, show me Him in your life. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Nobody Would Now be Saying.

 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words]. Matthew 28:19 Holy Bible Amplified Version

When we accept Christ as our savior that does not mean we are to sit on our hands doing nothing but waiting for Him to take us to Heaven.

Just as He is our Savior so too is He our King.

If He is our King then that makes us His free will servants. As servants the King has assignments for us.

The number one assignment is to bring others into His Holy family.

We accomplish this by living the Christian life every where we are. When others who are open to listening see this they will come unto us not we go out unto them (that is why the Jehovah’s Witnesses and other cults are wrong to harass folks by knocking on our doors). Then we can share the gospel with others and bring them into His Holy family.

We do this everywhere, at school or work, when shopping, in our leisure activities and any other place we are. We are also to make the commitment to helping them in their Christian walk by having Bible studies with them and giving them testimony of what Christ has done in our lives and through our lives.

Prayer: Please Jehovah Shammah ( The Lord is Present) bless me to always live a life and talk the talk to show others that You are alive, active and ever present in my life so that they may be brought unto You Holy family. We Will Never Understand It.

 For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God;not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way [for his salvation]. Ephesians 2:8-9 Holy Bible , Amplified Version.

We will never understand it. How Jehovah in His amazing love allowed His most cherished Son to be humiliated, beaten, tortured, mocked and allowed to die an agonizing death and be cast into hell for three days because of His awesome love for us.

Most of us were less than holy when He graciously came to us, indeed many of us were downright scoundrels.

Scoundrels make the best saints because they realize the magnificence of Jehovahs love. Joseph- Anthony: Green

In the world you have to earn it if you want it (except of course in “liberal” societies were the bums expect the government to do everything for them because of the “you owe me” attitude which is destroying some many societies in the world today). Yet Jehovah, in His miraculous love, came unto us with such an fabulous offer that we would be insane to refuse.

This, of course, is not just salvation but also an astounding love affair of which is impossible to match anywhere else. As we progress in this relationship he slowly burns off the dross (sometimes he expels destructive addictions and behaviour on His own and some times He walks through it with it with us) to mold us into a truly new creation. Those that formerly new us are stunned and confused about the change. Of course this process will continue until we reach our heavenly home. As a result our love, respect and admiration for Him is constantly expanding.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Heseh (God is love) for the most wonderful blessing of Your magnificent gift of grace unto a undeserving child such as I. Oh a great big thank you for your incredible transformation of a filthy little rag a bound into a beautiful child of Yours through a slow but steady hand of the Heavenly Molder. I exalt You in the name of he whose stunning gift of His cherished blood made all this possible Jesus Christ. Amen.

That is Surpassingly Good.

 For God [who is the source of their prophesying] is not a God of confusion and disorder but of peace and order.1 Corinthians 14:33 Holy Bible, Amplified Version

When I was a teacher there were many times my teaching plans failed miserably. During break I would sit down alone in the stairwell and pray for Jehovahs guidance. I would return with a feeling of peace and return to the classroom during the second half of the class and we would be rocking. The students caught on fast and it would be a great class.

This scenario has been repeated numerous times in my walk towards Heaven and can only be contributed to one thing: It was a divine blessing of peace and wisdom from Jehovah.

There is no situation so chaotic that God cannot from that situation, create something that is surpassingly good. Handley C. G. Moule
