No One Regrets

No one regrets, at the hour of death, that he had felt too much, given too much, or done too much for Christ, or to save souls.

I Like to Do It Incognito

“Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get. But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you. Matthew 6:1-4 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

CHRIST FIRST, OTHERS SECOND

The other day while walking down the hallway after visiting a friend in the hospital I noticed little plaques on the wall with names of folks who donated to the hospital. The bigger the donation, the bigger the plaque.

It was the same in a church I recently dropped off clothing to give to others for free. I could not help but think that although these were generous gifts they were given out of excess and were given to puff up the ego of the giver.

How many of the parishioners gave out of their meager wages denying themselves for the good of the church or hospital?

To me, these are the real generous givers.

It is the same when I watch folks running for a cause like cancer.

How many of them are running with selfie sticks?

Are they running for the cause of a cure for cancer or for the cause of puffing up themselves?

When I give, I like to do it incognito, because of the disdain for being applauded for it in public. Instead I always give thanks to Jehovah for the idea to give to that specif cause and for the opportunity to do so with great joy.

Give but give with the object of giving glory to Jehovah not to self. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah El Simchath Gili (Psalms 43:4 GOD My Exceeding Joy) for guiding where to give and how much to give to those who You deem worthy. Doing so creates a heart that beats with ecstatic joy in helping while giving glory to You magnificent name.                                       I praise You in the name of He who gave the ultimate sacrifice for me Jesus Christ. Amen

May you be blessed with abundant joy in your heart filled with love and your life overflowing with laughter every day this year. May you be blessed with numerous opportunities to share these gifts with others today.   Joseph a son of Jehovah

The Best Investment.

loving to each other

Then he took the children in his arms and placed his hands on their heads and blessed them. Mark 10:16 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

Jesus took time out of His busy day to show love to children, should we not imitate Him every day?

How much quality time do you spend with your children?

At meal time (irregardless of whether it is breakfast or dinner) do you sit around the table and talk, cementing your bonds, or do you all sit there with you mugs pasted in front of the idiot box (TV)?

Do you help them with their homework, class projects or go to parent teacher meeting with them?

Do you tuck them into bed and read them bedtime stories them kiss them good night and tell them you love them (that was my personal favorite)?

On the weekend do you do things with them like go to the park or watch a family movie and then talk about it?

You are the potter, they are the mold, what type of vessel are you creating?

Children learn more by watching then listening. What do they see when they see you?

Children learn more by watching then listening. Joseph- Anthony: Green

The same goes for teachers.

At the beginning of each semester I would tell my classes: “I am your teacher. I will work hard for you to be the best teacher for you. You will work hard for me because you love me.” Then I proceeded to prove it. At first they thought I was nuts. After about a month, they were my babies and they knew it. They loved their teacher because they saw their teacher loved them (Kinda like Jesus taught me. We love Him because He loved us first.). I believe what I taught them about love will stay with them all of their lives.

“Children will not remember you for the material things you have provided, but for the feeling that you cherished them.” –Richard L. Evans

Children are Gods gift to you, nurture them properly like you would a garden for you are sowing the seeds of the future. Joseph- Anthony: Green

The same goes for those who are new children in the family of Jehovah. You are to love them as if they were your own children and dedicate yourself to their well being and maturity in Christ as you would your own children.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Emet (God of truth) for blessing me with all the marvelous teachers You have sent my way. Thank you for guiding me to emulate the greatest Teacher, Jesus. May I inspire all those You bring to me to become loving obedient children of Yours so as to enrich Your treasure in Heaven (to be surrounded by even more loving children of Yours). I meekly ask of this in the name of the greatest Teacher Jesus Christ. Amen

May Gods sunshine always bless you with brightening your day with His love, joy and peace. Joseph a son of Jehovah

How to Have a Rewarding Day

be loving like jesus

A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed. Proverbs 11:25, New International Version

Kind words can be short and easy to speak but their echoes are truly endless. Mother Theresa

How to have a rewarding day: Sometimes it’s the little words that can have the biggest impact. When you see someone sad a simple hi or good morning accompanied with a sincere smile is all it takes to turn the gloomy day into a day of sunshine.

When someone is down a simple compliment like I like your outfit can really be a booster. A simple thank you can brighten a day.

Today, make an effort to say something nice to someone you see with the clouds of despair hanging over their head. Watch their face break out into a beautiful smile.

Better yet, when I was a child I belonged to a group that made it a practice to do at least one good deed a day. Why not make that a habit in your life and see how much it changes your life and the life of those around you.

You know what?

It will make you feel pretty good too.

We shall never know all the good that a simple smile can do. Mother Theresa

Prayer: Please my Beloved Father Jehovah Heseh (God is love) bless me to emulate You today, especially to someone who is in need of some tender loving care. May this be a catalyst to guide them to You which is the most loving thing I can do for anyone. I humbly ask this in the name of He who is the most loving of any who has walked this planet Jesus Christ. Amen

May you be blessed with peace and joy every day. Joseph a son of Jehovah

We are All Healers

Carry one another’s burdens and in this way you will fulfill the requirements of the law of Christ [that is, the law of Christian love]. Galatians 6:2 Holy Bible Amplified Version

We are to help others as we need them to help us. Joseph son of Jehovah

Do you know any seniors ( Christian or otherwise ) that need help cutting their lawns in the summer and shoveling the snow off of their sidewalks and driveways in the winter? Do you see the need and turn a blind eye? How do you think Jesus feels about that?

Do you know a single working mother that needs a babysitter but cannot afford one? Do you offer to watch the children for her if you are able or do you turn a blind eye to that? How do you think Jesus feels about that?

Do you know of someone that has just had surgery and is at home alone? Do you offer to clean their apartment and cook their meals for them or do you turn a blind eye to that? How do you think Jesus feels about that?

If you are looking to serve Christ, begin by looking in your own neighbourhood. Joseph son of Jehovah

Are you trying to carry a heavy burden by yourself when you know Christian brothers and sisters that are willing to help but you are too proud to ask or accept their gracious offer? How do you think Jesus feels about that? After all, did He not require help to carry His cross to die for our sins?

“We are all healers who can reach out and offer health, and we are all patients in constant need of help.” — Henri Nouwen

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Ezer (The LORD our Helper) for always being there to help me and I humbly request that You bless me to be emulating Your gracious love and assistance towards others as You have unto me. I rejoice in this blessing and ask for this blessing in the name of He who alawys took the time to help those who were in need Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Grandmas Sweater.

But the king said to Araunah, “No, but I will certainly buy it from you for a price. I will not offer burnt offerings to the Lord my God which cost me nothing.” So David purchased the threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver. 2 Samuel 24:24 Holy Bible Amplified Version

David paid for this because He wanted Jehovah to know it was a personal gift unto Him as a present of love, respect and gratefulness.

The best Christmas present I received every year was grandams sweater. It took her many months to knit it and it always felt of her love. Mom would have to fight with me to get it off of me to wash it.

Think of how cherished your gift is to Jehovah when it took a lot of time and effort to make it and freely offer it to Him as an act of love unto Him.

Do you insult Jehovah by giving Him something that cost you nothing or something cheap like you would buy in a Dollar Store?

For a church supper do you go out and buy something cheap at the grocery store instead of taking the time and effort into making a home made meal? This is a gathering of His people to commune with each other and Him. That is a cheap gift. That is an insult to Him.

And when you present the lame and the sick, is it not evil? Offer such a thing [as a blind or lame or sick animal] to your governor [as a gift or as payment for your taxes]. Would he be pleased with you? Or would he receive you graciously?” says the Lord of hosts. Malachi 1:8 Holy Bible Amplified Version

When you give unto Jehovah from your heart that is more precious to Him than the most expensive gift given out of obligation. A gift from the heart is the most precious gift. Joseph- Anthony: Green

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireh (God is our Provider) for blessing me so generously and with the best. Please always guide me to give nothing less back to You as a gift of love and appreciation every day. I thank You in the name of He who gave His precious blood unto me as the price of adoption unto Your magnificent family Jesus Christ. Amen

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.
