Be Unceasing and Persistent.

Be unceasing and persistent in prayer. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

I have faithfully prayed for a certain woman to come to Christ daily for over twenty years. Through all this time she persistently rejected all attempt’s to listen to anyone about Christ.

Within the last year she began going to a Bible study and now attends a church down the street on Sundays and once during the week. She still attends the first church one a week. She has even invited many of her friends to join her, most of which accept and have become members of that church. She reads daily devotionals and prays every day. Her disposition has metamorphosed so much many people do not even know her anymore.

That is the reward for persistent prayer. Of course not all of our prayers will be answered.

There are men and women that become very angry and even hate me for praying for them. They choose to remain walking in darkness. That is their choice.

Jehovah always gives everyone a choice. Choose wisely. Joseph son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Chatsahi (The Lord is my Strength) with Your Divine strength to continue on in prayer even when there does not appear to be any results. I thank You in the name of He who never ceased praying as He walked amongst us Jesus Christ. Amen

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

It Has not Crept Up.

Do not cast me off nor send me away in the time of old age;do not abandon me when my strength fails and I am weak. Psalm 71:9 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

Have you ever heard the old saying: “Old age has crept up on me.”

It has not crept up on me. It has come with numerous calling cards. I was reflecting upon this recently. I still go for long walks but now find there is a need for frequent stops for rest. Working in the garden all day doing heavy manual chores is a thing of the past. Even volunteering has taught me old age has not come a knocking but is already in my house ( my body). I used to be able to walk all day in the seniors home going from living area to living area. Now my knees will not take it. Working for Habitat for Humanity is challenging. I used to work very vigorously for ten hours straight in very difficult circumstances being a tree planter with no breaks but now there is a need frequent rests while doing things that were a breeze just a few short years ago.

“I thought growing older would take longer.” Unknown

The upside of it of course is the deeper wisdom Jehovah has blessed me with all these years. I love sharing it with the younger ones ( that are willing to listen).

Now there is less confidence in my abilities and complete confidence in Jehovahs unending abilities to take care of me.

There is so much less stress now. Now I can say with complete confidence that I know Jehovah will never desert me nor leave me.

We spend more time walking together and talking together ( no that is no senility it is a very real presence and conversation) which is deeply cherished.

So for all of you old fogies that despair of getting old I say I revel it my aging because it is so sweet, indeed, even Divine.

And, the most cherished of all, is having faith that there really is a heavenly home waiting for me where there is no such thing as an old dilapidated body but an awesome one which will be regenerated by my loving Heavenly Father.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Emunah (God is faithful) that You are faithful unto Your Divine vows to care for me in my old age. I exalt You in the name of my Faithful King whom shall greet me to the Heavenly Home He has faithfully promised awaits me upon my departure from this world Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Faith is an Action Word.

For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed in (trusted, relied on) God, and it was credited to his account as righteousness (right living, right standing with God).” Romans 4:3The Holy Bible Amplified Version

Faith is an action word.

Abraham was told to leave the comfort of the city he dwelt in and to leave all the wealth he had to go out into the unknown.

He did not know where Jehovah was leading him, He did not know where his daily provisions were going to come from.

He did not have any protection from the wild animals nor bandits. At that time He did not even know Jehovah.

Yet, through all of this he obeyed when Jehovah told him to leave his comfort and security to go out to the unknown world ( at that time leaving the security of the city you were living in was like going to another planet).

You are told to go when it does not makes sense to go. You are living a comfortable life. You are going to leave family and friends, have no means of financial support and no protection will you have the faith ( which is another word for trust) to obey Jehovahs command?

You are told to stay when it does makes sense to. You have no job but there is another one offered in another city. Your savings have been depleted. There is rising crime rate with little protection from the authorities. Will you have the faith to stay when all else says to flee?

Faith is obedience.

Will you trust Jehovah to do what does not make sense to do and to not do what does make sense to do?

In my life all of my failures can be traced back to lack of faith in Jehovahs commands.

My greatest successes were when I was obedient unto Jehovahs commands even though they seemed insane ( indeed many of my biggest fights with the family was when they were trying to convince me to disobey Jehovahs commands and I was bitterly mocked for my obedience ).

Prayer: Please Jehovah Emunah (God is faithful) bless me to always be faithful and obedient unto You knowing that You are the most faithful of all and Your commands are for my good. I sincerely request this in the name of He who was obedient and faithful unto You all the way to the cross Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

So Many Things are Happening.

Please read Exodus chapters 13- 14

So many things are happening here in these chapter that are of great importance to us in our coming to Christ.

The first thing is that just as Pharaoh was greatly angered that he lost his slaves, so too will satan be angered that he has lost his slave when we come to Christ.

Just as Pharaoh came hotly after his lost slaves to destroy them so too will satan and his minions come hotly after a baby Christian to destroy them when they give their lives unto Christ.

Just as the Israelites were helpless and terrified upon seeing this army that was greater in number and strength than they so too will a baby Christian be terrified when they see or feel the strength and numbers of satans minions as they pursue them.

Just as Jehovah provided a leader to help the Israelites escape their tormentors so too will Jehovah provide a strong leader to guide you to safety from satan and his minions.

Just as the Israelites had to step out in faith at the improbable way of delivery from Pharoah and his army so too must the baby Christian step out in faith to escape from satan and his minions.

Just as when the Israelites were safely on the other side Jehovah caused the waves to come crashing down and obliterate Pharoah and his army so too will the baby Christian witness the destruction of satan and his minions.

Just as the Israelites were not to look back after crossing over neither is the baby Christian to look back nor return to their land of oppression and slavery.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah-Gador Milchamah (The Lord is Mighty in Battle) for defeating the demons and the wicked ones when they hotly pursued me to destroy our new found loving relationship.

Thank you for comforting me and assuring me when the wicked ones seemed more numerous and stronger than me when they attacked me.

Thank you for blessing me with showing me the way of escape from the devils army when they came marching out in battle against me.

Thank you for destroying the satans army and the numerous wicked ones when they tried to pursue me to destroy me.

Thank you that because of these numerous experiences me faith, respect and admiration and love for You has grown expediently.

Thank you that after experiencing Your Heavenly world the fleshly world holds no desire for me.

I praise You in the name of my Beloved King to whom I am greatly honoured to belong to Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

I do Not Cease.

I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. Ephesians 1:16 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

It is not by accident that certain folks enter into your life. They may be mentors, they may be encouragers, they may be comforters or they may be helpers.

It is an important part of your life to be thankful unto both Jehovah and those He sends into your life. Remember them every day with joyful thanks in your prayers.

And then, sincerely pay it back.

Ask Jehovah to use you to be an encourager, helper, mentor or comforter unto someone else.

Indeed ask that Jehovah guides you to someone outside of His Holy family so that through this experience you may be the catalyst to move their hearts into becoming His children as well.

There are two important words that should be in every Christians prayer: Thank you. Joseph son of Jehovah

Prayer: Please Jehovah Ezer (The LORD our Helper) bless me with plentiful opportunities to bless others by being their helper as You have blessed me. Please accept this as my offering of gratitude unto You for Your bountiful blessings unto me. I ask this in the name of He who is Your greatest blessing Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

At All Times Through Him

At all times through Him, therefore, let us at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name. Hebrews 13:15 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

That can be a difficult one can’t it?

You are going through a divorce or death of a loved one. How can you give thanks in that circumstance?

Give thanks that through Jesus He will guide you, heal you, comfort you, encourage you and strengthen you. The world does not have this blessing.

The same can be said in every situation in life.

I thank my Beloved best Friend Jesus Christ for walking with me through my many trials and tribulations, sorrows and snares. I never would have made it without Him.

Whenever theses events are shared with another they are glorifying His awesome name.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah ‘Immeku (The Lord Is With You) for blessing me with walking with me through the firestorms in my life encouraging me, strengthening me, comforting me and healing me. I extol Thee in the name of He who calmed the raging storms for His disciples Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Do Not Set Your Heart on Them.

If riches increase, do not set your heart on them. Psalm 62:10 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

I have met many wealthy folks that material riches is their only thoughts day and night. They are never satisfied with what they have. They sacrifice their unhealthy everything: their physical health, their mental health, their relationships, and their place in Heaven in their desire for material gain. Worst of all they sacrifice their relationship with Jehovah for the dead god of wealth.

In todays world we see so much greed for material gains that this easily applies to the majority of society as well, even though they are in debt up to their eyeballs. They sacrifice a loving relationship with Jehovah for material things which are dead and cannot love them back.

Perhaps that is why depression is a pandemic today.

There is an old saying that says that when the times are good the churches are empty, when they times are bad the churches are full. I have witnessed this through many of decades of walking with Christ.

“Wherever riches have increased, the essence of religion has decreased in the same proportion.” John Wesley

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireh ( God provides ) for blessing me with Your daily provisions. Thank you for bountifully blessing me daily with Your Divine love which is the greatest treasure of all. I extol Thee in the name of the supreme treasure my Beloved best friend Jesus Christ. Amen

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.
