Yes Jehovah still considers tithing a duty ( which is an act of love and appreciation for the gifts Jehovah blesses us with ).
So, when you refuse to tithe you are being arrogant and ungrateful towards Jehovah.
Why should He bless you if you do not appreciate either Him nor the gifts?
Now when we give we are to give wisely at the guidance of The Holy Spirit.
So instead of giving for a so called charity where the CEO makes millions and you fan your ego by feeling good perhaps The Holy Spirit will guide you to give to support a Christian Bible School.
If you are poor The Holy Spirit may guide you to help clean up the animal waste at a local animal adoption agency ( it is not pretty nor glorious but they do need the help ).

Prayer: Please Jehovah El Deah (God of knowledge. Romans 11:33 ) bless me with the knowledge of where, when and how much to give so that it will go to the proper places You desire it to go. Friendship or family and money is like oil and water they don’t mix. That is why we need the Lords strength and wisdom to say no when the come to us with their hand out. Joseph- Anthony a son of Jehovah
A house is a house is a house until love comes through the door , that is. And love intuitively goes around sprinkling that special extra that transforms a house into a very special home for very special people: your family.
Money , of course , can build a charming house , but only love can furnish it with a feeling of home.
Duty can pack an adequate sack lunch , but love may decide to tuck a little love note inside.
Money can provide a television set , but love controls it and cares enough to say no and take the guff that comes with it.
Obligation sends the children to bed on time , but love tucks the covers in around their necks and passes out kisses and hugs (even to teenagers ! ).
Obligation can cook a meal , but love embellishes the table with a potted ivy trailing around slender candles.
Duty writes many letters , but love tucks a joke or a picture or a fresh stick of gum inside.
Compulsion keeps a sparkling house. But love and prayer stand a better chance of producing a happy family.
Duty gets offended quickly if it is not appreciated. But love learns to laugh a lot and to work for the sheer joy of doing it.
Obligation can pour a glass of milk , but quite often love will add a little chocolate. Author Unknown

I have gone through it numerous times through out my life.
There have been folks that are shifty, swindlers that are getting away with cheating others, including myself, out of money. They arrogantly laugh and brag about it.
In tears of frustration and anger on my knees I called out to the Lord for vengeance and justice.
Yet, nothing was done to punish the perpetrator.
Then, some where down the line, BANG, it hits them. It is total devastation in their lives.
They lose their wealth, they lose their home, they lose their marriage and family and, they lose their health. It is terrifying how total and complete the justice of Jehovah is when He strikes.
Now, when someone is abusing me, I just have faith in the Lord that He will help me get through the unpleasant experience and that Divine justice will be done.
So, when someone is abusing you or those you love and care about, do not get angry and try to get revenge. Leave it in the Lords strong, wise hands.
Justice, true justice, will triumph over evil every time. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Every one of us has it: the worry thief.
We worry about family, we worry about our health, we worry about our country, we worry about our finances. The list just goes on and on.
And what is the result of this?
It destroys our mental and physical health.
There is only one cure and His name is Jesus. When we trust Jesus and place all of our cares into His loving hands He calms the storms around us.
He has done it for me. I used to be the worry wort king, not any more.
Why not give Him a try?

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Shammah (Ezekiel 48:35 The LORD Is There ) for always being there with me every step of my life. Even though I walked through unknown terrifying territory, as I learned to place my fragile hand in Yours, I learned to have confidence in You. We are bombarded with feel good stories on the TV news of giving to help the poor, giving to help those with sicknesses and disease.
BUT, what is at the heart of the giver?
Do they genuinely give because of their concern or do they give to feel good and to be prideful on social media look at me, look at me. Or to brag to friends, family and co-workers? Do they participate to be a part of the crowd or because they are peer pressured to give?
Yes the Lord loves a cheerful giver BUT, we must first take it to Him in prayer where to give, how much to give and when to give. Then, we will be giving to please the Lord which is the only reason any Christian should give.
Give joyfully and thankfully to the Lord in abundance as a sacrifice of love and appreciation as He has given in abundance sometimes with great cost (like the cross) to you.
Give, but give to bring glory to Christ not to self Joseph a son of Jehovah
Why do you give?
Prayer:Thank you Jehovah Jireth (Genesis 22:14 The LORD Shall Provide) for blessing me with the tools and the opportunities to help those that are worthy of help. This is not a one off experience but is a daily requirement in our walk with Christ.
Every day we are going to experience a time when we need the Holy Spirits power to conquer fear and speak up when we encounter something that is wrong.
Ask the Lord to guide you to resources to help you in your battle.
So for example research homosexuality and find out all the destructive behaviors that accompany it like syphilis and gonorrhea. How about how there is a lot of depression and anger that is a part of their attitude as well. Learn the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights and the United Nations Covenant of Social, Economic and Cultural Rights and keep them with you. You have rights to speak up just like they have.
Then there is self discipline. Not just to resist temptation like pigging out on unhealthy foods but for discipline to resist losing your temper when the wicked ones are taunting you.
Yes, there is love. Love is not a feel good emotion but an action to get in there and get dirty to help someone.
So say a family member or friend is constantly borrowing money from you and not repaying it. This gives them a habit of dependence on you instead of maturing and taking financial responsibility for their own actions. Be loving and help them learn to handle their own money without using yours. If they refuse then let them suffer. That may help them as well (although with some folks they just cannot handle money, that does not give them the right to free load off of you though).
We need the daily portions of the Holy Spirits love, self discipline and power to succeed in our daily spiritual battle. Joseph a son of Jehovah
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Mauzzam (Psalms 37:39 The LORD Their Strength) for blessing me with the strength to maintain self control when the devil and his wicked buddies are attacking me. Thank you for blessing me with the strength to say no to abusers and scammers. Thank you for blessing me with the strength to stand up for Your truth when those walking in darkness are spewing their toxic lies to the gullible. I remember when a young man they used to have movie critics that would rate whether movies were good or bad. From my experience when I listened to them and paid good money to watch the film, it was a horrible film. The films they panned were the ones I enjoyed watching.
I remember talking with work mates about new series that came out on TV. Even though they did not like the shows they watched them because they wanted to be with the in crowd.
However, I consider them to be cattle just being led by the puppets of big business and foolishly wasting their money to stay cool all the while becoming slaves to the bank by going deeply in debt. None of them look to happy to me.
Now, following the advice Jehovah has blessed me with in the Bible has brought me a lot of wisdom, peace, comfort, strength, integrity and joy. Many believe I am weird for living the Christian lifestyle.
I listen to Jesus rather than man because He only wants what is best for me and has the knowledge to guide me on how to attain it. Joseph a son of Jehovah

One man pretends to be rich, yet has nothing; another pretends to be poor, yet has great wealth. Proverbs 13:7, New International Version
It is said that in China there are three sets of books. One set you show the tax man at tax time that shows you are poor.
One set you show people who want to invest in your company that says you are rich. In reality they are no where near that wealthy.
Next they have a set of book that states that they are one step from bankruptcy. Again it i a lie. They are doing okay but do not want to pay the taxes.
How many times do we see rich people who claim to be poor and bankrupt to cheat investors out of money?
In reality they have tons of money stashed off shore and life like kings while laughing at the suckers they fooled.
At the opposite end of the scale, how many times do wee see poor people pretending to be rich (another phrase may be “Keeping up with the Jones’” Just out of curiosity, who are these Jones’ anyway? I have never met them, have you?) They strut around like they are so haughty and pretend to be wealthy but in reality they are in debt up to their eyeballs playing this stupid game.

Then lastly there is the real set of books which states how much the man or woman is really worth. That one they try to hide.

Now we all want and need attention sometimes, but let’s be wise, not stupid.
If you pretend to be something you are not, when the truth is discovered you will be the laughing stock and will be humiliated.
On the other side of the coin is Jesus. He says: “Come as you are, warts and all. I will love you.”
Speaking from experience I can assure you that no earthly relationship can even begin to compare to the exhilarating and awesome relationship Jesus has to offer and will give to any and all who accept Him.
See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! 1 John 3:1 New Living Translation
Prayer: Thank you Jesus Emet (God of truth) for blessing me with the wisdom and integrity to live the life of truth. You, Jehovah and the Holy Spirit are the only ones I desire to impress.
The gift of love, the gift of joy, the gift of peace, these are the greatest gifts that can be given. They are given in abundance to all those in Christs family by our Heavenly loving Father.
