When Prayer is Appropriate

There is only one time when prayer is appropriate and that is when we have a desire to be in loving communion with our Heavenly Father Jehovah, our best friend Jesus and our wise teacher, the Holy Spirit. You cannot fake it with them so why bother trying? Joseph a son of Jehovah

It is Like WordPress.

You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that! 2 Timothy 3:1-5 The Holy Bible The New Living Testament

Have you ever had anyone one wordpress follow you just so you will click their articles or buy something from them but they never read or like your articles? Then why are they following you? Because they want you to give them something while they give you nothing in return.

The same is true of all of the false Christians.

The only reason they “ follow “ Jesus is because they want something from Him. They never offer Him anything, the only time they want to talk with Him is when they want something from Him and when He gives them their request they are too selfish, lazy and arrogant to even say thank you much less offer something in return.

Maybe you are not receiving anything from Jesus because you are ungrateful and offer Him nothing in exchange. Joseph- Anthony a son of Jehovah

Seleh. Seleh means to stop and think about it. Let’s think about how many times we have thanked Jehovah for His gifts whether they be big or small. Let us stop and think of how many times we have offered our time, resources and or labour to Him as a gift of love and appreciation.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireth (Genesis 22:14 The LORD Shall Provide ) for abundantly providing for my material and spiritual needs every day. Thank you for blessing me with The Holy Spirit who gently enlightens me to each blessing so I may show proper respect and appreciation for them and joyfully thank You for each of them. I praise You in the name of the greatest gift You have blessed me with, Jesus Christ. Amen

As You Have Received Christ

As You Have Received Christ

The only way you can live the Christian life is by divine provision.  Jesus said, “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33).

The apostle Paul wrote, “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him (Colossians 2:6).

“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord…”

How did you receive Him?  There is only one way as taught in scripture.  It is by grace through faith in Christ (Acts 4:12).

Phillips translates Colossians 2:6, “Just as you received Christ, so go on living in Him – simple faith.”

The apostle John said, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12, NASB 1995).

You receive “Jesus Christ the Lord” by believing on His name.  “As many as received Him, as many as have believed on Him.”  To have faith in Him is to receive Him.

Do you have that attitude of faith and trust in Jesus Christ?  Faith indicates a relation to Christ as Savior.  It is submission to His Lordship as King of our lives and confidence in Him as our high priest.  Do I conduct my life in submission to the king of my life?

Have you received Jesus Christ the Lord?  “Jesus” is the name given to Him at His birth meaning “Yahweh saves,” “Jehovah saves.”  That is why the apostle Peter declared there is no other name given among men whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).  Calling on all other names for eternal salvation will send you to an eternal hell.  There is salvation and eternal life only in Jesus Christ.  Jesus is the Savior who came to this earth to die for our sins and give us God’s kind of life.  Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through me” (John 14:6).  “He who has seen Me has seen the Father” (v.9).

This same “Jesus” of Nazareth is the Messiah, the anointed King and High Priest.  The Messiah to the Hebrew people was the King – Priest.  He is both the One who reigns as sovereign over our lives and the One who intercedes on our behalf.  The King is also the Priest.  The King who has supreme authority is also the Priest who offers the one perfect sacrifice of Himself on behalf of His people.

Has Jesus Christ become your Lord?  “For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11, NASB 1995).  Have you bowed to that name?

If you have never “received” Him as “Jesus Christ the Lord,” you cannot “so walk in Him.”  Do you have this kind of a relationship with Him?  Have you surrendered your soul to Him?

The comparison the apostle is bringing out in Colossians 2:6 is the fact that we have been saved by grace through faith is the same way we live the Christian life. We are saved and sustained by that same kind of faith in our Lord.

“Just as you received Christ, so go on living in Him – simple faith.”  Taylor paraphrased, “And now just as you trusted Christ to save you, trust Him too for each day’s problems; live in vital union with Him.”

The word “walk” (peripateo) is figurative of “the walk of life,” or your life conduct.  Make the Lord Jesus Christ truly “Lord” and Master of each day you live.  Maintain a close personal fellowship with Christ; your very life depends on it.  We must conduct our lives as men and women who have been united with Christ deriving our life from Him.  Because of this living relationship with Him, we are to conduct our lives in dependence upon Him (Jn. 15:5).

As you have received Him, keep on walking.

Selah! Pause – reflect- just think of that!

For What They Have Done.

“So my advice is, leave these men alone. Let them go. If they are planning and doing these things merely on their own, it will soon be overthrown. But if it is from God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You may even find yourselves fighting against God!” Acts 5:38-40 The Holy Bible The New Century Version

Every government or group or agency that wages war against Christians and Jehovahs values wages war against Christ.

Who do you think is going to win that war?

This is exactly what has happened through out history.

Whenever tyrants have tries to eliminate Christians the exact opposite happens. It not only thrives but it grows.

Just look at China for prove of that during Mao’s reign of terror.

The ones that persecuted the Christians look like they are winning for a while but their downfall comes quickly and they suffer for their wicked deeds.

Just look how Pol Pots final years were spent.

So, do not be afraid of the tyrant wicked politicians or the woke crowd which is nothing but a bunch of Whining Willies that have spaghetti for a spine.

It looks like they are winning now but their doom is signed by the blood of the Christians they persecute.

O Lord, You will punish them for what they have done. Lamentations 3:64 The Holy Bible, The New Life Version

Seleh. Seleh means to stop and think about it.

Prayer: Thank you Jesus Christ Hashopet (Judges 11:27 The LORD the Judge ) that you are a fair and impartial judge and each one of us shall receive our appropriate rewards for the deeds we have done on this planet. I praise You in Your just name. Amen

Acceptable to God

How can a sinful person ever be acceptable to a holy God?

God takes sin seriously; it will be severely punished unless atonement is acceptable according to God’s standard.

Sin is a barrier that separates a person from God. In the Old Testament God dealt with man’s sin by substitution (Lev. 1:44:207:7; Lev. 16).

In the New Testament sin is still a serious problem because everyone has sinned and come short of God’s expectation (Rom. 3:23). Moreover, an eternal hell awaits all who sin (Mk. 9:43Lk. 12:5Rom. 6:23).

It is the will of God that everyone come to repentance and be saved from the wrath of God (Jn. 3:16Rom. 5:82 Pet. 3:9-10). Salvation is accomplished by what God has done in the person and work of Jesus Christ. The apostle Paul wrote, “God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself” (2 Cor. 5:19). This reconciliation was accomplished by the death of Christ. “For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, how much more, since we have been reconciled, will we be saved by his life?” (Rom. 5:10 NET). The death of Christ is absolutely essential to our salvation. Only the death of Christ can save us from our sins and the eternal punishment we deserve.

Jesus gave His life as “a ransom for many” (Mk. 10:45) because “God made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we would become the righteousness of God” (2 Cor. 5:21 NET).

The sacrifice of animals could not “take away sins” (Heb. 10:4). However, the sacrifice of Jesus did what was impossible for animal sacrifices to accomplish. “By his will we have been made holy through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all” (v. 10 NET). “But now he has appeared once for all at the consummation of the ages to put away sin by his sacrifice” (9:26b NET).

By His death Jesus Christ paid the sinner’s debt in full and that death turns away the wrath of God (Rom. 3:25). Because Jesus paid sin’s due penalty God can be both a just and holy God, and at the same time justify the person who has faith in Him (v.26). “For the payoff of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (6:23 NET).

How did Christ redeem us? “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us (because it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree’)” (Gal. 3:13 NET). It was as a sacrificial substitute “having become a curse for us” that he redeems us. Therefore, we can stamp across our sin debt: “PAID IN FULL!”

Jesus bought us while we were in the slave market of sin, paid the price in full, and set us free to live the Christian life (Eph. 1:71 Cor. 6:20Gal. 5:1). He purchased us with His own blood (Eph. 1:71 Pet. 1:18-19). Because our sin has been dealt with completely we are now free to serve the LORD God. We no longer have to be preoccupied with sin, guilt and punishment. It has been dealt with in the blood of Jesus and we can focus on serving him with a clear conscience.

We have entered into a new covenant with God in Christ (Heb. 9:11-15). Jesus entered “the greater and more perfect tabernacle . . . through His own blood . . . once and for all, having obtained eternal redemption” (Heb. 9:11-12). The effect is it cleanses our conscience from dead works to serve the living God (v. 14).

We are now irrevocably the children of God, heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ (Rom. 8:15-1729-39Gal. 4:6Phil. 1:162 Tim. 1:12Jn. 5:241 Jn. 5:134:135:10).

“All these things are from God who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and who has given us the ministry of reconciliation” (2 Cor. 5:18 NET). We share with others what God has done in reconciling us to Himself.

We have a right relationship with God, the forgiveness of our sins, and eternal life because Christ has taken our place, doing what we could never do for ourselves.

Christ paid our debt in full; our part is simply to accept that great salvation by faith. It is God’s free gift to the believing sinner.Selah!

He Frustrates the Plans Of

He frustrates the plans of the wicked. Psalms 146: 9 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

This is why I am not afraid of the world economic forum or their minions in world governments.

Down through out history there have always been tyrants that believed themselves to be gods and tried to conquer and have dominion over all creatures of the world, including mankind ( I refuse to be brain dead and call us human kind ).

Oh yes, for a while it looks like they are succeeding.

But, then the hand of the Lord turns against them. It always happens like a avalanche. It starts out small but as it gains momentum it becomes bigger, stronger and more destructive. Their final defeat is terrible and humiliating like Hitler or Pol Pot.

I recently read an article that stated that the righteous were always spared the destruction of the tyrants. Oh, they suffered but by the protective hand of Jehovah they were never defeated.

Do not trust me, trust the Supreme Judge, Jesus Christ, the wicked never get away with it. Joseph- Anthony a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Ghmolah ( The God of Recompense. The God of vengeance Job 11:20 ) that You protect Your children from wicked ones and that You are a God of recompense. That the wicked shall be appropriately punished both in this life and in the eternal one. I praise You in the name of The Supreme Judge, Jesus Christ. Amen
