We know what real love is because Jesus gave up his life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters. 1 John 3:16 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation
As Christians we are to emulate Jesus.
Just as He gave up everything for us, so too are we to be prepared to give up everything for our fellow man if called upon by Christ.
Are you willing to fast for a week so that the money that would be spent on your groceries would be used to help someone less fortunate than you?
I gave up a months salary to help pay for an life saving operation for a child whose parent were too poor to pay for it. I lived off of one package of instant soup for breakfast, one for lunch and one for supper for a month to pay for the operation.
Love is an action, not an emotion. Joseph a son of Jehovah
Would you give up wages to help someone who needed help?
I used to spend two day teaching rookies how to plant trees at the beginning of the season. That cost me my wages for those days.
Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions. 1 John 3:18 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation
Would you be willing to suffer inconvenience to help others?
When a missionary in Latin America. Instead of living in a comfortable motel, I lived in a tent and used the money saved to buy food and medicine for the poor folks I was working with.
If you claim to be a christian and are not prepared to suffer for the good of others, you are not a Christian. Joseph a son of Jehovah
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Heseh (God is love 1 John 4:16 ) for blessing me with the most amazing loving relationship with You, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Thank you for using me as a conduit to express Your love to others. I thank you in the name of my most loving best friend Jesus Christ. Amen
May you be blessed with abundant joy in your heart filled with love and your life overflowing with laughter every day this year.Joseph a son of Jehovah

For it is by grace [God’s remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God;not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way [for his salvation]. Ephesians 2:8-9 Holy Bible , Amplified Version.
We will never understand it. How Jehovah in His amazing love allowed His most cherished Son to be humiliated, beaten, tortured, mocked and allowed to die an agonizing death and be cast into hell for three days because of His awesome love for us.
Most of us were less than holy when He graciously came to us, indeed many of us were downright scoundrels.
Scoundrels make the best saints because they realize the magnificence of Jehovahs love. Joseph- Anthony: Green
In the world you have to earn it if you want it (except of course in “liberal” societies were the bums expect the government to do everything for them because of the “you owe me” attitude which is destroying some many societies in the world today). Yet Jehovah, in His miraculous love, came unto us with such an fabulous offer that we would be insane to refuse.
This, of course, is not just salvation but also an astounding love affair of which is impossible to match anywhere else. As we progress in this relationship he slowly burns off the dross (sometimes he expels destructive addictions and behaviour on His own and some times He walks through it with it with us) to mold us into a truly new creation. Those that formerly new us are stunned and confused about the change. Of course this process will continue until we reach our heavenly home. As a result our love, respect and admiration for Him is constantly expanding.
“I do not understand the mystery of grace; only that it meets us where we are and doesn’t leave us where it found us.”Anne Lamott
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Heseh (God is love) for the most wonderful blessing of Your magnificent gift of grace unto a undeserving child such as I. Oh a great big thank you for your incredible transformation of a filthy little rag a bound into a beautiful child of Yours through a slow but steady hand of the Heavenly Molder. I exalt You in the name of he whose stunning gift of His cherished blood made all this possible Jesus Christ. Amen.
May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
For God [who is the source of their prophesying] is not a Godof confusion anddisorder but of peace andorder.1 Corinthians 14:33 Holy Bible, Amplified Version
When I was a teacher there were many times my teaching plans failed miserably. During break I would sit down alone in the stairwell and pray for Jehovahs guidance. I would return with a feeling of peace and return to the classroom during the second half of the class and we would be rocking. The students caught on fast and it would be a great class.
This scenario has been repeated numerous times in my walk towards Heaven and can only be contributed to one thing: It was a divine blessing of peace and wisdom from Jehovah.
There is no situation so chaotic that God cannot from that situation, create something that is surpassingly good. Handley C. G. Moule
Does it seem as if nothing is making sense in your world right now? You may be surprised at just what Jehovah is doing behind the scenes that you are not even aware of.
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah KalEl (voice of God) for speaking to me in Divine wisdom and for guiding me into unseen places by my eyes that You know exactly what You are doing. I extol You in the name of He who lead His disciples so wisely Jesus Christ. Amen.
May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time. Luke 4:1 New King James Version
Satan is sneaky.
He does not charge into your mind, he is subtle and begins with just little thoughts. Then they become cemented into your mind and grow like cancer. Eventually they will consume you and you commit a sin.
To effectively defeat this creep use the best and only weapon available to you to soundly defeat him very time.
Carry a Bible verse with you constantly and when the scumbag comes just pull out that verse and with power and authority shove it tight down his throat. Then for the finale inform him that you belong to Jesus so just take a hike. Say it with conviction.
Thoughts become habits so surround yourself with Godly thoughts.
To accomplish this listen to sermons on sermonaudio.com (I like to listen to Allister Begg, A.W. Tozer and Spurgeon.) every day, read Christian devotionals like http://www.actsweb.org and Our Daily Bread listen to Christian radio like http://www.joyfmonline.org and http://www.praise1065.com.
Pray to Jesus to reveal to you your bad habits and the method of defeating them.
Sometimes they are too strong for you and can only be defeated by completely surrendering them to Jesus.
As well think of the things that are triggers and avoid them like the plague. So if you are an alcoholic you need to avoid your drinking buddies and do not even walk down the streets with the bars you used to hang out at.
That is what happened to me with my addiction to alcohol. It was too strong for me and the only way to defeat it was through completely surrendering it to Christ. It was defeated that instant. That does not mean that satan does not still try his sneaky little tricks but I have the protection of the Holy Spirit to resist him.
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Yeshua (God our protector) for the most powerful protection against the most devious liar and thief Lucifer. Your most awesome protection of this child that belongs to You has rescued me from the Highway to Hell and leads me on the difficult Pathway to Heaven. I in deep gratitude extol You in the name of my strong King who defeated our nemesis once and for all on the cross Jesus Christ . Amen.
May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
“See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge. Exodus 31:2-3 New King James Version
God has created us to serve Him with a special skill He has blessed us with.
Now there are only three responses we can have to this blessing.
The first one is we can deny it with an inferior complex.
This is usually instilled in us by our family and peers at a young age and unfortunately for many carried through out all of their lives.
I am not good enough
For me that was the attitude of many of my family towards me when I was a child. I was sickly and weak. Everybody expected me to be a failure yet I have done amazing things like planting over one million trees all across Canada, teaching in China for ten years and countless other accomplishments.
These were not done on my own but by the grace of God. He blessed me with teachers who were patient and encouraging. It took many years for me to understand I was not a failure.
I have not gone to any school to learn it.
Well, okay, I did go to school to obtain my Teaching English as a Second Language Certificate.
When I was a teacher in China there were many university teachers that would arrogantly look down on me because I only had a Teaching English as a Second Language Certificate. When we went into class to teach they fell flat on their faces while I excelled. Most teachers could only teach at one level say children. I could teach the most difficult students of all age levels and comprehension.
That was not on my own skill but Jehovahs gift to me to use in His kingdoms purpose.
Chances are it is not that you are inferior in your skills but in your faith. That is okay.
Just take that first step through prayer and then follow Christs lead. Watch what He can and will do in you and through you. You will be amazed at the results.
The second one is we can use it to gain personal gain.
That is where you take the credit and use it for material gains.
Hey, I am a good teacher; I will teach at the finest school, have a lot of prestige and make lots of money.
But, God wants you to teach in an impoverished area.
I am a great singer. Instead of using that blessing to help people in their walk with Christ you use it to gain money, a mansion and a big boat. Beware. The gifts Jehovah gives you can and will be taken from you and you can end up losing not only the gift but your health and all your material riches and end up homeless in the gutter.
The third and correct one is we can use it to serve Jehovah.
That is where we are obedient and with a grain of salt of faith take the shaky step forward towards His goal for us to use our God given skills for the purpose He has designed us to fulfill in His Kingdoms.
Now do not worry about how you will do it because Jehovah will bless you with wisdom, knowledge and understanding to accomplish the task. I had never taught before when I went to China and they learn in a different manner than us. I did not know that much less the language.
Jehovah blessed me with Chinese teachers that shared their knowledge with me how to teach.
They use very strong corporal punishment when you get out of line but I did not feel good doing that. Jehovah blessed me with teaching me wisdom in how to use different methods that were more effective. Soon the Chinese teachers who had taught for years were coming to this foreign teacher to learn from him.
I did not understand any of their customs but Jehovah blessed me with some students that loved to teach their teacher so that he would understand his students better so he could be a better teacher.
The whole time they noticed my behavior was different and were curious why. That provided a great opportunity to share Jesus with them. As a result we were both blessed when some of them came to Jesus because of my attitude and behavior.
This process was repeated over a ten year span from the northern end of China to the southern end of China.
Each time I became a better teacher not only of English but of Jesus. Now the thing of it is that I did not know that I had the skill of teaching in me. It was not until I was obedient to Jehovahs calling that I learned it. I learned to teach in a way that they would understand. It has helped me teach in counseling others in different areas of their life as well as help others to understand when you are trying to teach them something difficult for them.
You can go through the best university in the world but if you are not gifted to teach you will bomb.
I had teachers that were great in their filed of electronics but were crappy teachers. Nobody ever understood what they were talking about. It is through prayer, faith and obedience that Jehovah will reveal your calling in His kingdom.
An added benefit of this is the satisfaction of knowing why you are here and that you are accomplishing something important in your life.
Going your own way leads to disaster, going Gods way leads to success. Joseph- Anthony: Green
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Elohim (God our creator) for creating me to serve You in amazing ways all my life. It fills me with purpose, love and joy. I praise You in the name of Your most obedient son Jesus Christ. Amen.
May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day .
“For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope”Romans 15:4 New King James Version
The more I read and understand the Bible the more amazed I am at how reverent it is in my life.
For example since learning in the book of Titus to warn a troublemaker twice, if they refuse to listen have nothing to do with them I have a lot less stupid arguments. I come to understand that they are their happiest when causing trouble.
When reading about Joshua and how he endured forty years in the desert because of the disobedient Israelites he ended up enjoying the gifts of a fruitful life in the promised land.
Whenever I get discouraged and read the Bible the Holy Spirit always leads me to encouraging verses or to situations where people in the Bible endured hardships and prospered.
For example I learned that when the disciples were in the storm and called out to Jesus He rescued them. He allowed them to encounter the storm to teach them to depend more upon Him. That is a great lesson for me.
Truly, the more I read the Bible the more amazed I am how much I see myself in its pages.
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Chanan (God is gracious) for the amazing blessing of Your incredible book of knowledge, the Bible. Thank you for being so gracious as to open my mind and heart to the wisdom therein and to understand the experiences of those who have gone before me. I give thanks in the name of he who taught so much by quoting and explaining the scriptures Jesus Christ. Amen.
May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
Pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate. Proverbs 8:13 New International Version
Here is a little game for you to play that you may find very revealing.
Keep a tally of how many times you say I did or I got in a day.
Then see how many times you see how many times you thank the Lord in a day.
Now compare them.
How humble are you?
How grateful are you towards Jehovah Jireh (God who provides).
How many times does He grant you when you do not even thank Him for the blessings he has already given you?
Why should He?
I do it Jehovah’s way with a humble heart and most of my requests are granted.
Here is a good example: It is a forty minute walk to the library. During monsoon season storms can come up in five minutes and they are a downpour. I humbly ask the Lord to keep the rain at bay during the walk (which surprise, surprise He does). When arriving at the library thanks is given for nice weather. Before leaving for the library I humbly request there is a certain table there the computer can be plugged into and it is relatively quiet. Surprise, surprise, the table is always there even though there is a blocks long line up waiting for the library to open and when it does all the tables are taken in ten minutes. Again, humble and sincere thanks are given for this blessing.
How many times would you have given thanks?
“By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches and honor and life” Proverbs 22:4 New International Version.
Pride brings shame. Humility brings wisdom. Joseph- Anthony: Green
Prayer: Please Jesus Pyrrand (God my friend) always bless me with a grateful heart, especially towards you, for the numerous blessings You so abundantly give me every day. I humbly ask this in Your gracious name. Amen.
May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. Jeremiah 29:11-12
If anyone asks me how I know I have been called to be a teacher through the writer, Bible study leader and councilor I will quote from the above verses.
As well there are people who I can direct them to, to give testimony.
Finally there is the wisdom Jehovah has blessed me with to be used to be His tool through being a teacher is quite evident.
As a consequence Jehovah has promised to take care of those he has called into His service.
Then do like Jesus did when challenged by the Scribes and Pharisee’s and that is to just walk away.
Either the Spirit will open their eyes and they will believe and we can continue on from there or they will be hard hearted and it does not matter what I say and or do they refuse to believe.
In many cases the hard hearted are just looking for an argument anyway.
When you have received your calling and people question you maybe you might want to use a method like this to avoid many un-necessary and stupid arguments.
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Hosanna (God our maker) for the honourable blessing of having a specific purpose for me in an earthly ministry. When people challenge Your calling in my life please fill me with wisdom, patience and grace to respectfully prove to them my divine calling.
I humbly ask this in the name of He who proved to all those around Him Jesus Christ. Amen.
May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you James 1:2-5 New International Version
Jehovah allows us to endure trials and tribulations for a good reason. We do not know nor understand it at the time. We may even feel we are being unfairly punished.
God is the creator and we are the creation.
Sometimes He has to put us through the furnace to burn off that which bad for us whether it be in our personality or in relationships or in attitudes.
Most times we are not even aware of those bad traits or attitudes.
Speaking from personal experience it was only after my greatest trials and tribulation that I understood what he was wisely doing in my life. I am eternally grateful for that and that he did not listen to my cries during the tribulation to stop it. Every single trial and tribulation was for a specific reason.
Jehovah loves you and enjoys it even less than you do to watch you suffer.
So, even though you may not (and you usually do not) understand what is happening or why if you are going through tribulation have faith that the Master Potter is working you into a beautiful creation that is fit for heaven.
Even though you do not see the light at the end of the tunnel have faith that Jehovah only has you in the furnace as long as is necessary and not one minute more.
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Hosanna (God our maker) for the trials and tribulations brought into my life. Even though they have been difficult I now know they were for my own good.
I give thanks for these in the name of he who endured the tribulation of the cross for me Jesus Christ. Amen.
May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 New International Version
What is the difference between our Heavenly and our earthly?
Our Heavenly Father loves us unconditionally.
Sad to say, I believe there is more dysfunctional families than there is “normal” families.
Our Father disciplines us for our best interest.
How many times do our earthly parents demand we do what they want, not caring what we want?
Our Heavenly Father always is there and always cares about our personal problems.
How many parents are there that you can talk about personal problems with?
Our Heavenly Father heals our emotional pains.
How many parents are there that even care about our problems or are even the cause of them?
Our Heavenly Father knows where we are best suited in life and gives us divine purpose in life.
How many parents talk about their children’s career with them and help them to where they are best suited in life?
Now I am not belittling loving parents, they are to be appreciated, loved and respected.
However, no matter how good they are, they will never be as good as our loving Heavenly Father.
Now if you come from a dysfunctional family or an abusive one it will be hard to understand and believe this but just keep praying and having an open heart. He will heal your wounds and guide you into the most awesome love affair there is.
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Abba (God our Heavenly Father) for the wonderful privilege of being bestowed with the most awesome poppa there ever could be. I exalt you in the name of my magnificent loving big brother Jesus Christ. Amen.
May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
