As Though I am Working For

I work willingly at whatever I do, as though I am working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give me an inheritance as my reward, and that the Master I am serving is Christ. Colossians 3:23-24 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

Today I commit everything I do into the Lords hands. That He will guide me on where and how to serve Him. That He will bless me with the tools to succeed. Joseph- Anthony a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Please Holy Spirit always remind me the one I am serving is Jesus not man. I honestly request this in the name of the King I dedicate my life to serving, Jesus Christ. Amen

May you have a grateful heart towards He who has given so much to you. indeovi vas ( may you live with Jesus in Latin )

The Carnal Mind and a New Mind

George Whitfield, the eighteenth century evangelist, was correct when he said, “If the unregenerate man could enter heaven, he would be so unhappy in heaven, that he would ask God to let him run down to hell for shelter.”

How could the enemies of God sit down at the banquet of the Lamb of God?

Universalism wants us to bury our heads in the sand.

The carnal mind is enmity against God all the time.  So why would such a person ever want to be in God’s holy presence?  It is against everything God is for in His universe.  It sets the world system and all it teaches in opposition to the LORD God.

The carnal mind is a “depraved spirit that is set on those things which are not proper” (Romans 1:28).  How would you know one if you saw it?  Romans 1:29-32 says, “Being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful; and although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them.”

It is a dreadful picture of human depravity.  The apostle then declared, “Therefore you have no excuse, every one of you who passes judgment, for in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things. And we know that the judgment of God rightly falls upon those who practice such things” (Romans 2:1-2).

There is a day coming when “God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus” (v. 16).  It is not because we do not deserve it.  The Bible testifies that we are all guilty.  “But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who will render to each person according to his deeds” (Romans 2:5-6).

After a detailed presentation of our sins against us in Romans chapter three, the apostle Paul concludes, “But glory and honor and peace to everyone who does good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For there is no partiality with God” (Romans 2:10-11).  “You who boast in the Law, through your breaking the Law, do you dishonor God?” (Romans 2:23).

How many of us have not wished in the depths of our hearts, “Would to God these sins were not forbidden!”  Spurgeon asked, “Who among us has not been so foolish as to desire that there were no God?”

But neither solution makes the problem go away.  We still stand guilty before God.  “Every carnal mind in the world is at enmity against God.”

The carnal mind declares that by our very nature we are the child of evil.  What part of man was affected by the fall?  The entire man, every part of him – every power, every passion is at enmity with God.  You may say, “Oh, Wil, I am not really that bad.”  God says, “The heart is deceitful above all things.”  It is desperately wicked.

Why would any carnal person want to be in the holy presence of a righteous God? It would mean to be guilty and condemned twenty-four hours a day. We would never be able to escape His holy, hot wrath.  Our sense of guilt would always be a state of awareness.

The only solution to the desperate plight of man is to have a new mind and a new heart.  If we have not experienced a change of heart, our carnal mind will always be at enmity against God.

Our thoughts, our decisions, our behaviors all testify that we deserve God’s holy wrath.  Every person born into this world deserves God’s wrath and damnation.

Because we are guilty sinners, God must provide the solution.  Since the carnal mind is at enmity with God, salvation cannot be by any merit on our part.  It must be by God’s grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ.  If we are at enmity with God, what merit can we have?  How can we deserve anything from the person we hate?  Therefore, God must step in and rescue us by His grace.

The Spirit of God must lay His hand on you and renew your heart or there is no chance of your entering into heaven.

Jesus Christ can make peace through His blood.  If the Spirit of God has convinced you of your sin as you read this, you can become a new creature, a new person, with a new heart if you will ask Jesus Christ to be your Savior.

By our physical birth we are at enmity with God, but by the new birth we are made His friend.  Our nature must be changed if we are to enter into God’s holy presence.  Here is the most precious promise for every sinner to believe.  “As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life” (John 3:14-15).

SELAH! Pause – reflect- just think of that!

It is Impossible for Us To.

Love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you. Luke 6:27-28 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

It is humanly impossible for us to forgive someone who has hurt you badly. Especially if they laugh at you instead of ask for forgiveness.

To make matters worse is if you take the punishment because they framed you or cheated you out of money.

What I found is the best recipe is to pray to Jehovah that through the Holy Spirit you are blessed with the power to forgive. Do not think it is a one off experience but rather must be done daily. Believe me it will only be granted through sincere prayers.

I know from a lot of experience.

He will make you strong with power in your hearts through the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 3:16 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

Oh and by the way, turn off the repeat button.

You know where you keep on repeating the incident in your mind again and again until it is ingrained in you and rage enslaves you.

Yes, it is natural to want them to be punished but have faith that Jehovah will punish them at the right time and in the proper manner. He will give them time to repent but if they refuse, look out.

If anyone does wrong, he will suffer for it. God does not respect one person more than another. Colossians The Holy Bible, 3:25 New Life Version

It is only by the power of The Holy Spirit that we have the power to forgive. Joseph- Anthony a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Please Jehovah Mauzzam (Psalms 37:39) – The LORD Their Strength bless me with Your divine strength to forgive those who have done me wrong, including the unrepentant one. I humbly beseech You in the name of He who forgvae while suffering on a cross, Jesus Christ. Amen

He Has a Wonderful Sense .

A cheerful heart is good medicine Proverbs 17:22 THE HOLY BIBLE, THE New Living Translation

There is so many times I think The Holy Spirit hides things on me. I will search and search and not find what I am looking for.

Then I pray to The Holy Spirit to show me where it is.

I no sooner finish the prayer and what I am looking for jumps out in front of me in an obvious places. I know I searched there but could not see it.

I am certain The Holy Spirit has a wonderful sense of humour. Joseph- Anthony a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah El SIMCHAH GIYL (God my Exceeding Joy John 15:11 ) for blessing me with such Heavenly joy with Your delightful sense of humour. I praise You in the name of He who shared so much humpour in His sermons, Jesus Christ. Amen

People do Not Recognize It.

For God speaks again and again, though people do not recognize it. He speaks in dreams, in visions of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they lie in their beds. He whispers in their ears and terrifies them with warnings. He makes them turn from doing wrong; he keeps them from pride. Job 33:14–17 The Holy Bible, The New Living Testament

When ever I have vivid dreams they always come true with in three days.

Why not keep you mobile phone near your bed and record your dream as soon as you wake up, most times you will forget it when you go back to sleep and wake up later. Then, as you read devotionals like Our Daily Bread or listen to sermons from preachers like Allister Begg or Max Lucado.

The Holy Spirit may reveal their meaning to you.

I say maybe because most of the time He doesn’t to me.

There has been so many times The Holy Spirit has softly spoken and warned me not to take a contract or go to a certain area. Every time a disaster was averted.

He did it with the scamdemic and boy am I ever grateful He did.

He has convicted me so many times of when I have done or said something wrong. Then He provided the opportunity for me to reconcile those that were wronged.

Do you notice that there is no distinction between children of Jehovah and the unsaved?

Jehovah speaks to us all. Only the arrogant refuse to listen and always pay the price for it. Joseph- Anthony a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah KalEl (voice of God Isaiah 30:21 ) for sending The Holy Spirit to speak with all of us. The wise listen and avoid disaster in their lives. The arrogant fools refuse to listen and are punished for their arrogance. I thank you in the name of He who speaks to me so much in The Holy Word, The Bible, Jesus Christ. Amen

Seleh- stop and think about it.

The Call of God to Salvation

To those who are called of God, the good news in Jesus Christ is the power of God. If you are called of God, you know it.  It is a matter of pure experience between you and the risen Christ.  The true believer can declare, “Now I know in whom I have believed.”

C. H. Spurgeon said, “Ah!  What a mercy it is that it is not your hold of Christ that saves you but His hold of you!  What a sweet fact that it is not how you grasp His hand, but His grasp of yours that saves you!  Jesus Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.”  “But we preach Christ crucified… to those who are called, both to Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God” (1 Corinthians 1:23a24).

“To those who are the called… Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.”  On occasion Jesus said, “Many are called, but few are chosen.”

There is the general call through the preaching of the Gospel to all who will come and listen, but there is also an effectual call when the Holy Spirit speaks to the individuals and they respond by repenting of their sin and believe on Christ as their personal Savior.

The school bell rings at 8 a.m., and it is a general call for all students to be in their classroom ready to begin their studies.  However, when the teacher says, “Wil, come with me.  We are going to the principal’s office,” that is a special call.

When the apostle Paul said, “We preach Christ crucified…to those who are called,” it is always a special call.  It is the sharp, hot arrow of God’s Word piercing into the heart bringing conviction of sin and saving faith in Jesus Christ.

The effectual call of God is when the Holy Spirit whispers your name and says, “Come to Me.”  The word comes into the soul, and there is no resisting it.  God speaks.  Jesus said, “All that the Father has given to Me shall come.”  That is the effectual call.

The believer is saved by the effectual grace of God.  Saul, the persecutor of the early church, heard the effectual call of God saying, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” (Acts 9:4). Saul could go no further on his way, and a radical change took place in his heart.

Zaccheus saw Jesus coming down the road and climbed up into a tree so he could get a better view.  As Jesus walked He looked up into the tree and called to Zaccheus, “Zaccheus, come down today.  I must abide in your house.”  Zaccheus heard his name called and he could not stay up the tree.

The effectual call of God comes as we listen to the gospel being preached, and there is the power of God drawing the person to repent and believe on Christ.  It is the effectual call because those who hear it respond to God’s free grace and are saved.

The preaching of the cross is a thing of power.  “I have felt it here, in this heart; I have the witness of the Spirit within and know it is a thing of might because it has conquered me; it has bowed me down,” wrote Spurgeon.

It is a thing of power that does it. It is the saving grace of Jesus Christ.  Have you experienced it?  I have.  It is my prayer that you will respond to the good news that Jesus Christ died for your sins on the cross.  Can you say in your heart, “Jesus died for me.  I know the blood of Jesus has washed me of all my sins.  God has saved me for all eternity by His cleansing blood.”

Christ to me is the power of God and the wisdom of God.

“Were the whole realm of nature mine,

       That were a present far too small;

       Love so amazing, so divine,

Demands my soul, my life, my all.”

This is the response to the effectual call of God.  “To the rest of you who are called, I need say nothing,” Spurgeon said.  “The longer you live, the more deeply Christ taught you are, the more you live under the constant influence of the Holy Spirit, the more you will know the Gospel to be a thing of power, and the more also will you have understood it to be a thing of wisdom.  My every blessing rest upon you; and may God come up with us in the evening.”
