It Takes a While To

My hope comes from God. He fills me with joy and peace because of my trust in Him. Romans 15:13 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

In this instance, hope mean confidence.

It takes a while to develop trust and confidence in Jehovah so do not be embarrassed if yours is small. It takes time and experience to mature it. Joseph- Anthony a son of Jehovah

Yes we are filled with joy which is spiritual rather than happiness which is material when He speaks with us and reassures us everything is in His capable hands.

Yes we have peace when it seems as if the world is going to Hell on the speedway of disaster, confusion, fear, and exhaustion because The Holy Spirit comes to calm us down and reassure us everything is under Jehovahs control and He always watches over His children.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Immeka (Judges 6:12 The LORD Is with You ) for blessing me with sending The Holy Spirit to walk with me through out the day every day. That is so comforting to know. I praise You in the name of He with whom I look forward to walking through the garden in in the new earth, Jesus Christ. Amen

Do You Have Life’s Greatest Satisfaction?

One of the most delightful books I have read was Surprised by Joy in which the brilliant Cambridge scholar C. S. Lewis tells how the “Hound of Heaven” tracked him down and brought him to his knees to surrender to Jesus Christ.

“I was going up Headington Hill on top of a bus. Without words and (I think) almost without images, a fact about myself was somehow presented to me.  I became aware that I was holding something at bay, or shifting shutting something out.  Or, if you like, that I was wearing some stiff clothing, like corsets, or even a suit of armor, as if I were a lobster.  I felt myself being there and then given a free choice.  I could open the door or keep it shut; I could unbuckle the armor or keep it on.  Neither choice was presented as a duty; no threat or promise was attached to either, though I knew that to open the door or to take off the corset meant the incalculable. The choice appeared to be momentous but I was also strangely unemotional.  I was moved by no desire or fears.  In a sense I was not moved by anything. I chose to open, to unbuckle, to loosen the rein.  I say, ‘I chose, yet it did not really seem possible to do the opposite.’’

A short time later in his room at Magdalene College in Cambridge, England, he made a final personal commitment to Jesus Christ.  “In the Trinity Term of 1929, I gave in and admitted that God was God and knelt and prayed:  perhaps that night the most dejected and reluctant convert in all England” (Surprised by Joy, pp. 224, 228-29).

Jesus said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied” (Matthew 5:6).

Jesus used a strong word for “satisfied” meaning “completely satisfied,” like when feeding cattle are satisfied after grazing in a beautiful lush meadow.

Do you have that satisfaction that comes from an intimate personal relationship with Jesus Christ?

It is the result of a spiritual hunger and thirst that only God can satisfy when we submit to Him.

Do you carry a heavy burden that weighs you down? Have you grown weary fighting with God? He is ready to give you His perfect rest if you will come to Him and yoke up with Him. When you submit to Jesus Christ you find rest for your soul as Lewis did.

Are you weighed down by a heavy load of anxiety? Christ invites you to humble yourself “under the mighty hand of God . . . casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares for you” (1 Peter 5:6-7).

There is no greater spiritual satisfaction, inner peace and joy than that which is found in an intimate, personal love relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

Have you entered into that personal relationship with Him? Admit to Him your need and ask Him to be your Savior. “Lord, I confess to you my need for you to be my Savior. I am a rebel at heart and want you to forgive me of my wandering sinful ways and unbelief. I ask you to forgive me and cleanse me of all my sins. I believe Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose from the dead, and I want Him to be my Savior and Lord today.”

“The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost” (Revelation 22:17). Will you come today and drink freely of the water of life and be satisfied?Selah!

To Prevent Him From

I am grateful the Lord stopped the rain. The forecast called for heavy rain today. About an hour before going out the rain stopped.

I am grateful The Holy Spirit suggested holding Snowball like a baby when giving him his meds.

This is done to prevent him from spitting them out.

After he gave me blinkies which means I love you in cat language.

He then went to sleep in my arms as I gently rocked him in the rocking chair.

I prayed for The Holy Spirit to fill me with peace, love and joy.

Rocking him in my arms filled me with peace.

Looking at him filled me with love.

My heart was filled with joy at The Holy Spirit’s suggestion.

I am grateful The Holy Spirit spoke through me when Jezebel told me to clean the garage.

He told her to get her grand daughter down here and do it. After all Jezebel gave her money she should have given me for my wages so she could go out and get drunk.

The Bible says to pay a labourer their fair wages. Where is my money?

It also says if you want to work eat. Isn’t it time they came down here and worked for all the money she gave them that should have been paid to me.

Then I just walked away.

She went ballistic.

Because That is Where

My Heart Dances With

I am grateful The Holy Spirit spoke to me and suggested cuddling with Snowball four times a day.

As he snuggles up in my arms The Holy Spirit reminds me that Snowball represents me and I represent Jesus.

As Snowball finds peace, love and comfort in my loving arms so too do I find peace, love and comfort in Jesus’ loving arms.

Now when I look at Snowball snuggling up in my arms my heart dances with joy , love and appreciation for my loving Jesus and it is a special time between Snowball and me.

I am grateful The Holy Spirit suggested straining off the curry sauce from the Chinese take out yesterday and putting it in the freezer. It is being used for home made chicken soup today in the slow cooker

Come with Boldness for Grace and Mercy

Come with Boldness for Grace and Mercy

The main argument of the Epistle of Hebrews is that “we have a great High Priest” (Heb. 4:141:32:17f3:14:14-12:3). Jesus has passed through the upper heavens to the throne of God (1:3). The writer of Hebrews makes it clear that Aaron was a “high priest,” but Jesus Christ is “the great High Priest.” No Old Testament priest could ever assume that awesome title.

Jesus is great because He is both God and man. He is “Jesus, the Son of God.” He is the Savior who became flesh, and He is “the Son of God.” Jesus affirmed His humanity and His deity. As a great High Priest Jesus has “passed through the heavens” and ascended to the Father. He is enthroned. It is His “throne of grace” to which we go as believers.

On the Day of Atonement the high priest of Israel would go behind the veil and sprinkle blood on the “mercy seat” (Lev. 16). However, every believer in Jesus Christ is encouraged to “come boldly unto the throne of grace” where He ministers grace and mercy. We are invited to go to our High Priest at any time, in any circumstance, indeed daily, and find help in our need. There is no trial too great, or temptation too strong that our great High Priest cannot give us His grace and strength.

“Let us draw near” to our great High Priest “that we may receive mercy.” Where do you turn when you have a sense of sin and guilt and unworthiness? When we go to Jesus we receive mercy. Jesus did not give us what we deserve, but what we do not deserve. At the throne we experience and learn that God pardons, loves and accepts us in His grace.

Grace is the power of God working in us. At the throne of grace He gives us strength in the inner life to conquer temptation. The grace of God is always well-timed. It comes just when we need it. We find the infinite mercy of God’s love and grace working in us when we come to His throne.

Moreover, we are not just encouraged to go to the throne when we are in need. We are to “draw near with boldness.” We have “confidence to enter.” The blood of Jesus gives us perfect confidence in drawing near to our righteous Father. We enter in with boldness and confidence because we enter covered with the perfect righteousness of Christ.

Jesus encourages us to enter in with the highest level of confidence, and the unhesitating assurance that there is nothing that can hinder us. The writer of Hebrews has in mind our drawing near to God’s throne without fear, without doubt, with no other feeling but that which a child feels in going to his loving father.

The Scriptures admonish us to draw near with boldness. Jesus the Son of God is our High Priest. We do not have to work ourselves up emotionally or psych ourselves up to enter into his presence. No, the living, loving High Priest, who is able to sympathize and give grace for timely help, breathes and works this boldness in the soul that is willing to lose itself in Him. All that He asks of us is to make ourselves available to Him. This boldness is natural when we are gazing with our eyes fixed upon Him! Jesus, found and experienced within our heart by faith, is our boldness. As the Son, whose house we are will dwell within us, and by His Spirit’s working, He will be our boldness and our entrance to the Father. Selah!

When the Citizens of Their Country Become

When justice is done, good people are happy, but evil people are ruined. Proverbs 21:15The Holy Bible, New Century Version

The Lord loves justice and will not leave those who worship him. He will always protect them, but the children of the wicked will die.Psalm 37:28 The Holy Bible, New Century Version

When the citizens of their country become arrogant, selfish, and lazy, when the government and courts become corrupt, they destroy their country. When you do things, do not let selfishness or pride be your guide. Instead, be humble and give more honor to others than to yourselves.

Do not be interested only in your own life, but be interested in the lives of others. Philippians 2:3-4 The Holy Bible, New Century Version

What makes a country strong, peaceful and prosperous is when the citizens , government and courts follow Gods Law, have good work ethic and strong community and family Christian morals

Trouble always comes to sinners, but good people enjoy success. Proverbs 13:21The Holy Bible, New Century Version

Prayer: Please Jehovah Tsidkenu (Jeremiah 23:6 The LORD Our Righteousness ) bless us with The Holy Spirit to teach us to set our families, neighbourhoods and communities hearts on fire to not only live by Gods Law but to wage war against the wicked perverts that are destroying our country. I humbly request this in the name of my Warrior King, Jesus Christ. Amen
