A wise old gentleman retired and purchased a modest home near a junior high school. He spent the first few weeks of his retirement in peace and contentment.

Then a new school year began. The very next afternoon three young boys full of youthful after-school enthusiasm came down his street beating merrily on every trash can they encountered. The crashing percussion continued day after day, until finally the wise old man decided it was time to take some action.

The next afternoon, he walked out to meet the young percussionists as they banged their way down the street. Stopping them, he said, “You kids are a lot of fun. I like to see you express your exuberance like that. I used to do the same thing when I was your age. Will you do me a favor? I’ll give you each a dollar if you’ll promise to come around every day and do your thing.”

The kids were elated and continued to do a bang-up job on the trash cans.

A few days later, the wily retiree approached them again as they drummed their way down the street. “Look” he said, “I haven’t received my Social Security (Pension) check yet, so I’m not going to be able to give you more than 25 cents. Will that be okay?”

“A lousy quarter?” the drum leader exclaimed. “If you think we’re going to waste our time beating these cans around for a quarter, you’re nuts! No way, mister. We quit!”

And the old man enjoyed peace and serenity for the rest of his days. Who says us old foggies are brain dead?

Make Us Either

That is the Best Medicine

No matter what the stressful situation every time I take it to Poppa, He blesses me with assurance, comfort and peace. That is the best medicine to take. You do not need to see a psychiatrist or start popping poison called pharmaceutical pills which only get you addicted and breaks down your body so you have to take more poison. Yeah the pharma shareholders like it but your body sure does not.

Now of course the second part of the equation is that we must have faith and obey what Poppa instructs us to do.

So we will say you have gallstones and Poppa instructs you to cut back on your coffee.

Your reply is up yours.

Then you cry because you have gallstone.

Duh?

This morning, I prayed because my cat ( my comforter which is needed because of the challenge of being a live in care giver which is the most stressful thing I have ever done ) due to concerns he was still having elliptic seizure even though he has started taking medication. Because I love him there was a concern of putting him down because I do not want him to suffer.

I left the choice in Poppas loving hands and trusted Him while having rivers of tears flowing down my cheeks.

When I got on the internet later in the day, He guided me to a site that explained the medication much more in depth and that it would take a while for the medication to take effect. I greatly praised Him as now my heart beats with joy again.

The reason worriers die sooner than non-worriers is because we have peace of mind that can only come from trusting Jehovah in every aspect of our lives. Joseph- Anthony a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireth (Genesis 22:14 The LORD Shall Provide ) for blessing me with the medicine to help my buddy and the knowledge that everything will be alright and it will just take a while. I praise You in the name of He who raised Lazarus when the time was right, Jesus Christ, Amen

The More Peace You Are

May God give you more and more grace and peace as you grow in your knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord. 2 Peter 1:2 The Holy Bible The New Living Translation

Grace in this context means the free and unmerited favour of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings.

Favour means assistance.

So, what this verse means is that the more we know Jehovah, the more help He will bless us with which blesses us with peace.

How are we to obtain knowledge of Jehovah?

Try this: begin your day with prayers of gratitude and for knowledge of Jehovah.

Why not listen to the fantastic encouraging video’s by Grace for Purpose and Above Inspiration before you go to bed.

Why not read one of Gods promises a day and claim it as your own ( you can read them on biblegateway. com- I prefer the new living translation but there are many more to choose from ).

Guard You From The

Prayer: Oh Jehovah-Ganan (The Lord is Our Defense Psalm 89:18 ) I come to You with the fears of what is happening this world in prayer for Your protection.

Each day it seems as if we are going darker and darker into satans world, and so I run to You, our all-knowing God.

For the answers I do not have to protect myself and the worry that threatens to consume my days, I ask Your provident hand of peace to stretch out over me.

Please remind me You are sovereign, that nothing happens out of Your control.

For the wickedness I witness daily, and fear it will invade my own life, please provide an unexplainable calm and upholding of my faith that the whole world truly is in your hands.

Please help me to be a bright shining light in this ever darkening world so as to guide others to You.

I humbly request this in the name of The Light of the World, Jesus Christ. Amen
