You spend time with that which you love.

Now, ask yourself this question: do I spend as much time with Jehovah as I do watching sports and playing them? If not, that is an idol in your life. There is nothing wrong with sports, it is good for your physical body but it is imperative that you nurture your spiritual body more because it lasts for an eternity.

Are you just as concerned with looking spiritually beautiful to the our Heavenly Beloved as much as you are looking appealing to the world? Jehovah desires you to look spiritually beautiful which continuously grows as you mature in Him while fleshly beauty fades. Besides, do you seriously enjoy someone looking at you like a appealing piece of meat?

Do you take as much care of your spiritual health as you do your car? The car only lasts a few short years and you have to get a new one. Your spirit lasts for an eternity.

If anything becomes more fundamental than God to your happiness, meaning in life, and identity, then it is an idol. Tim Keller

You Thought Nobody was Noticing.

 “So whenever you give to the poor and do acts of kindness, do not blow a trumpet before you [to advertise it], as the hypocrites do [like actors acting out a role] in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be honored and recognized and praised by men. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, they[already] have their reward in full.  But when you give to the poor and do acts of kindness, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing [give in complete secrecy], so that your charitable acts will be done in secret; and your Father who sees[what is done] in secret will reward you. We see it on TV all the time. There is an activity to support a local charity and the TV crew gets there, there is a swarm of folks wanting to get on TV to pump up their ego. How many times do folks go around bragging about their “ good deeds”?

I tell you true, as a matter of fact it is not I but Jehovah that tells you, that they recieve their rewards here and now.

It means nothing to Jehovah.

So, when you get to Heavens Gate and are bragging about all of your “good deeds” you have done, Christ will ask you one question: “Did you do them for your glory or for mine?” If it is for your glory they are worthless to Jesus.

Actually I hate being in the spotlight.

It is more appealing to just go along and help out where I can, when I can with no fan fare. There have been times when I was asked to go to reward dinners and refused. Everyone was shocked because I refused to receive any public recognition. If they only knew why.

I believe it is that way with all who serve Christ because we are humble . Because we are secure in who we are in Christ we tend to shy away from the spot light.

Don’t be discouraged when your work seem unnoticed. Man applauds for what’s in the spotlight, but God applauds the faithfulness that people often overlook. Heaven’s highlight reels will be full of those selfless acts of faith and service you thought nobody was noticing. Dave Willis

Have you ever felt Jehovah was speaking to you about something in your life and then you ignore Him?

You do so at your own risk.

When Jehovah speaks with us about something that requires attention it is for our own good.

If you ignore His advice you with eventually suffer the consequences for it. Then when you go cry babying unto Him, He will ignore your prayers. They smell like a bad fart to Him. He is disgusted with you because you refuse to listen to Him.

Now when you finally smarten up and obey Him, He forgives you.

It is always difficult to obey Him especially when it is something deep seated in our minds.

Many times it will take good Christian counselling to even get to admit we have the problem.

Once we accept the problem then it is up to us to try to resolve it. We can get all the counselling in the world but if we do nothing to try to resolve it, the counselling is useless.

Sometimes the problem is too big for us to handle.

That is when we go unto the Holy Spirit and sincerely, respectfully ask for His help. Then and only then will the issue be resolved.

I have gone through both sides of it and can tell you it is very difficult but rewarding.

One of them for example was independence, which most of us suffer from. It took many years before that was finally destroyed and expelled from my mind and heart. Sometimes it took my own effort, sometimes it took the assistance from the Holy Spirit. I rejoice over that every day.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Emet (God of truth) for gracefully educating me about the ruinous dispositions with in my soul. Thank you for the assistance You overwhelmingly provide me with to conquer these weaknesses. I exalt Thee in the name of He who has overcome the world Jesus Christ. Amen

The world says: depend upon self, just try hard enough and you will succeed. That is a foolish fantasy. Sometimes you will succeed in the task but lose out on the reward of doing it in harmony with Jehovah. The other problem is you are doing what you want and not what Jehovah has made you to do. The fruition of this is unfulfillment in your endevour.

Christians, although we do not enjoy them, should be grateful for our weaknesses. Because, it is in our weaknesses that Christ is strong. The benefit of this is an ever closer relationship with Jehovah, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

Depend upon self, wait for the fall. Depend upon Christ, be assured of the victory. Joseph a son of Jehovah.

Do Not Love The.

                                                      

Do not love the world [of sin that opposes God and His precepts], nor the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1 John 2:15 Holy Bible Amplified Version

In reality loving the world is just another word for loving self. That is such a waste of life. You will never find meaning, satisfaction, nor true love in this absurd endevour.

Being blessed with a loving relationship with Jehovah is an experience that is so delightful, satisfying, rewarding and Heavenly that there truly is no words to describe it. The more you ingrain Jehovah in every precept of your life, the closer you get to Him. This exhilarating relationship is preparing you for an eternal love affair with Him. There is nothing in the world that is equal to the amazing relationship.

Things of the world cannot love back. Christ’s love is the most satisfying and fulfilling love there is. Choose wisely. Joseph a son of Jehovah.

Center Your Mind on Them.

 

Finally,believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart]. Let us take a test okay?

Where do you spend more time: A watching trash on the TV or B watching Christian movies on the internet?

Listening to that rubbish they call music on the radio or listening to and singing along with Christian joyful praise music on the radio?

Which do you spend more time doing: serving self :playing sports, going shopping, or any other activity(there is nothing wrong with these activities unless they are thieves which rob time away from serving Christ) or serving Christ?

Do not sit there and shake your head in agreement and then do nothing about it, make a concerted effort to change your habits.

Of course it is a necessary requirement to go to a make over artist. And, as we all know, The Holy Spirit is the best make over artist. Ask Him for direction in your life to change your habits and then obey His guidance.

This takes time. You are not only be molded into a new creation but you also have to have the filth of the world purged from your mind and from your spirit.

Do not just think about making changes in your life, pray to Jehovah on how to make those changes and then do it. Joseph a son of Jehovah.

And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]. Prayer: Thank you El Deah (God of knowledge) for sanctifying me with Your word in every aspect of my life. What kind of a Runner are You?

                                              

Run away from youthful lusts—pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those [believers] who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2 Timothy 2:22 Holy Bible Amplified Version

What kind of a runner are you?

Do you run as fast to your Bible as you do to porno sites on line?

Would you drink from a septic tank?

Why not?

Well just as the feces in the septic tank will make your body sick, so too will porno sites pollute your mind (and before you women go pointing fingers at us men like we are pigs, there is a large majority of women that watch that filth as well).

When we are youths we are inexperienced and easy prey for the alluring lies of satan.

That is why we need mature Christians to guide us away from the destruction fantasies (once you fall for satan you will quickly find out it is no fun but many times pure living Hell, just ask any junkie).

Now notice I said mature and not older. Someone can be older in years but very immature in their walk with Christ. Their advice is useless and indeed many times very disastrous.

It is the duty of us older Christians to warn those who are young in their walk with Christ when they are fallowing the wrong path. Be patient with them as Christ is patient with you. Be firm with them as Christ is firm with you. Be respectful with them just as Christ is with you (that includes allowing them to fall into the temptation if that is their choice but to welcome them back if they repent).

Satans temptations always lead to destruction. That is why we need mature Christians to guide us away from them. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Ganan (The Lord is Our Defense) for Your Divine intercession when satan temps me with destructive lusts. Thank you for Your providence in bringing mature Christians to counsel me when I foolishly begin to stray. Stubbornness Come in Two Forms.

                                                        

Stubbornness comes in two forms.

Form number one is arrogance or another word for it is pride. Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall. Proverbs 16:18 Holy Bible Amplified Version

Do the I did or I said’s drive you bonkers?

They do me.

They cannot say a sentence without pumping themselves up. They are so polluted with pride it is a stench for me to be round them. They foolishly believe the whole world revolves around them.

And, you know what?

They are very shallow and fragile. Anything that pricks their pride and they get deflated like a punctured balloon they pull a temper tantrum. I have seen many an adult become indignant and insulting to anyone who brings them down to earth. They feel as if a capital offense has been committed to them. They are very immature. They pull a lot of pouty pouts. I have seen some fall to the ground and pound their fists and kick their feet into the air while screaming like a spoiled little brat (yes I am talking about adults).

Steer clear of these creatures less you learn their ways and fall into the same disgrace as they do. Form number two is greed.

“Because he knew no quietness or calm within him [because of his greed], He does not retain anything he desires. Job 20:20 Holy Bible Amplified Version

These destructive creatures do not care who they hurt as long as they get what they want. The problem of course though is that most times it back fires on them. I have met many that were warned that to attempt to do a certain thing would lead to disaster. Their response is: “Who are you to try to tell me what to do?”. They then proceed in the venture only to be met with the forewarned disaster. Their response is always the same. They blame everyone and everything around them rather than be mature and take the responsibility for it themselves.

Avoid these creatures at all cost as they will lead you into disaster and disaster.

Pride come in two forms. Form number one is arrogance. Form number two is greed. They both end in disaster. Jospeh a son of Jehovah

Finally as they age they will find that they will be fighting their own bodies which results in constant pain. I have seen many elders refuse to accept the restrictions on their bodies only to end up in bed in intense pain. The amazing thing is though is that they never learn.

Then when they are put into seniors homes because they refuse to listen and obey their doctors instructions, they constantly fight a losing battle with the staff. They are continuously trying to tell the staff what to do while refusing to co-operate with them. They become resentful because they cannot have their own way and pout. The result of this is that no one want to be around them so they just sit there crying because they are so lonely all day.

Prayer: Please Jehovah ‘Izoa Hakaboth ( Lord Strong -Mighty ) bless me with the strength to burn off all stubbornness in my disposition. Please come and reprimand me when I am being foolish by being stubborn. I sincerely request this so important request in the name of He who was never stubborn Jesus Christ. Amen

Great and Priceless Treasure.

Great and priceless treasure is in the house of the [consistently] righteous one [who seeks godly instruction and grows in wisdom], But trouble is in the income of the wicked one [who rejects the laws of God].Proverbs 15:6 Holy Bible Amplified Version

One of the greatest treasures is that of Godly instruction and wisdom.

Godly instruction will teach you about life. It will guide you away from disaster. It will guide you through storms. It will reveal to you hidden treasures in Heaven.

Wisdom is putting what you have learned into action.

The result is a lot less stress, anger, and grief. It will bless you with strength, encouragement, peace, love and joy.

I seek Heavenly riches as they are more satisfying than earthly ones. Joseph a son of Jehovah

The income of the wicked is one disaster after another. It will plague you with dissatisfaction in life. There will be jealously, anger, stress, worry and depression. Just look around you to find confirmation with it. I have seen an abundance of it in both lifestyles.

Is He Who Trusts.

                               

He who pays attention to the word [of God] will find good, And blessed (happy, prosperous, to be admired) is he who trusts [confidently] in the Lord. Proverbs 16:20 Holy Bible Amplified Version

I do not believe the word happy should be in the above verse but rather joy.

Happiness in physical while joy is spiritual. Joy is always supreme to happiness.

To be prosperous, to me, does not indicate material things but rather spiritual.

To trust that my sins are forgiven brings joy to my heart, which is spiritual.

To know that the present is in the hands of the all wise and all loving Father in whom I trust brings peace to my spirit.

Too know that Jehovah is guiding my life both in the present and in the future brings confidence to my spirit.

These are to be greatly admired gifts from our loving Father and to be thankful for each and every day.

“Trust the past to God’s mercy, the present to God’s love and the future to God’s providence.” St. Augustine of Hippo
