Have Nothing More to do With Them.

 I have a very contentious neighbor. He can go off like a rocket with little to no provocation by me. He is a constant thorn in my side. Indeed many times some very un-Christian words come out of my mouth during the conversation as he continuously pushes my buttons.

This problem was taken to the Lord and asked the proper manner in which to handle the situation without me exploding at him as he irritated me. The above verse jumped out at me during the next mornings Bible Verse as well as;

If people are causing divisions among you, give a first and second warning. After that, have nothing more to do with them. Titus 3:10 New Living Translation Bible

This makes perfect sense.

These types of folks are not interested in anyone’s opinion but their own and care not about anyone but themselves. Trying to talk things out with them is like talking with a wall. I do not waste my time talking with walls.

I do not even speak with him if he tries to talk with me, I keep silent and ignore him. It prevents a lot of trouble.

Now there is a lot more peace in my life.

If you refuse to be respectful enough to listen to others opinion then do not waste my time. Go talk with yourself. Joseph a son of Jehovah

God Gives Us Just Enough To

 Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things. Ecclesiastes 11:5 Holy Bible, New Living Translation

Early in my walk with Jesus, He would slowly reveal Himself to me a little bit at a time. Each time I was silly and believed I knew God. Then Jehovah would throw a curve ball at me and reveal something of Himself to me that was totally unexpected. A good laugh would be shared between us.

Even now, after decades of walking with Him and being very intimate with Him my knowledge of Him would fit into a teaspoon.

That is the wonderful thing about Him though, it is always a surprise and great delight when He blesses me with a revelation of another attribute of Him. He truly is, an awesome God.

The Best In Crowd There Is

 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure. 1 Corinthians 10:13 Holy Bible, New Living Translation

Being a recent ex smoker it seems as if temptation comes numerous times a day every day. They are ever so subtle but annoying. By Gods grace Bible verses that are memorized are recited and the temptation vanishes.

That is easy but then there is the group tempters. This is when you are tempted to do something wrong just to fit in with the “in crowd”. Trust me, after seeing the “in crowd’ forty years later it is best to avoid these losers at all cost.

That is why it is best to be with the best in crowd there is, the Christian in crowd.

To the world we look like geeks but then again we do not suffer from overdoses or getting shot at or sexual diseases. Sounds like a fun crowd huh?

Then there is the employment climber. That is where a employer tries to get you to do something unethical. Trust me I have seen what happens when the gig is up the one at the bottom of the ladder is usually the one taking the fall. It is not worth it.

The devil will always tempt you but stand firm in Christ by reading the Bible and memorizing victory verses. Have continual communion with Jehovah, Jesus and the Holy Spirit so that you are sensitive to their voice. Have a few close brothers and sisters that will be there to encourage you and support you .

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah M’Kaddesh (The Lord is my Sanctifier) for blessing me with integrity so as to be sanctified unto Your Holy manner in which to conduct myself. Who Better is There Than

The Lord is a friend to those who fear him. He teaches them his covenant. My eyes are always on the Lord, for he rescues me from the traps of my enemies. Psalm 25:14-15 Holy Bible, New Living Translation.

A covenant is an agreement between two people (in this case between Jehovah and us). It is an unbroken promise.

Jehovah teaches us to be the closest of best friends with Him.

Close friends share the good times and the bad times together. Jehovah is there to enjoy the good times with us and to encourage us through the hard times.

Close friends confidently confide with each other their deepest secrets. We can confidently confide in Jehovah and He never blabs it all over town. He loves to confide in us.

Close friends watch out for each other. Now it is impossible for us to watch out for Jehovah but we can watch out for His other children around us. He is always watching out for us. He never sleeps nor is too busy or on vacation and unavailable.

Close friends are always there to help each other. We cannot help Jehovah personally but we can help out those in His community as an act of helping Him out. Jehovah is always there to help us not matter the problem.

Close friends will fight to the death to protect each other. We cannot fight to protect Jehovah but we can fight to protect His children suffering because of injustice (this need not be confined to third world countries but look around us today in industrialized countries and we see the wicked ones constantly at battle against Jehovahs children (and yes, the socialists called liberals are the worst perpetrators).

I cannot count the number of times Jehovah has laughed at the wicked ones as He led me safely away from their vile traps and they became entangled in their own traps.

Who better is there than Jehovah to be our closest of closest best friend. It is impossible to think of anyone to be His equal much less His superior. That is why Jehovah, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are my closest of closest best friends. Joseph a son of Jehovah

The Yeah Buts.

 Because of these [sinful] things the [divine] wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience [those who fail to listen and who routinely and obstinately disregard God’s precepts] Colossians 3:6 Holy Bible, Amplified Version

We have all experienced the yeah buts.

Someone instructs us to do something we do not want to do and we all come up with the yeah buts. Yeah but _____ as an excuse for not doing as we are told to do.

Someone tells us not to do something and we come back with yeah but__________ for reasons we will do as we like.

The worst offence of course is when we are continuously disobedient unto Jehovahs direction in our life. We do so at our own peril.

If Jehovah directs us to do something it is for our own good or to advance His kingdom.

If Jehovah directs us not to do something it is because it will turn out bad for us or for others.

We will pay for our arrogant disobedience in painful fashion.

I have experienced it and it most certainly was not an enjoyable experience. Sad to say, I was a slow learner and it took decades before submitting to Jehovah with no thought of anything but obedience unto Him.

Prayer: Please Jehovah Helech ‘Olam (The Lord our King Forever) help me, as You always have, to be an obedient child of Yours. I know that Your call to obedience is for my own good as well as for Your honour. It is my greatest joy to bring glory and honor to the one I love the deepest. Have You Noticed How Much

Have you noticed how much hate there is in the western world today for those that live Christian lives with Christian morals? We are vilified on social media and socially isolated in every day life. It is like we have some disgusting plague like leprosy. What is truly heartbreaking is when this happens with in the Christian community.

Why do folks hate us so much?

Could it be that seeing us pricks their conscience and they know their lifestyle is wrong?

Could it be that seeing us causes the fire of hate to flame in every molecule of their body and mind because they know that their lifestyle is condemning them to Hell?

From my experience yes, those are the two main reasons for their unjustified hate of those of us that are obedient children of Jehovah.

The further society gets from the truth, the more it will hate those who speak it. George Orwell.

Prayer: Please Jehovah Emet (God of truth) bless me to always speak Your words of truth with wisdom, grace, meekness and fortitude to not back down when challenged by the wicked ones. I sincerely request this in the name of He who is the epitome of truth Jesus Christ. Amen

Study this Book of Instruction

 Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. Joshua 1:8 Holy Bible, New Living Translation

It is imperative that we feast upon Jehovahs guidebook of life in order to be obedient unto His instruction for our lives.

It guides us to succeed in relationships whether they be personal or corporate.

It guides us in how to invest our time and resources properly.

It guides us in our relationship with our Heavenly Love.

It guides us in the proper diet, exercise and manner of rest.

And, of course we require the Holy Spirit to interpret it for us because we are limited by our mental capacities to understand the Spiritual wealth that is hidden from the world that lies with in its pages. We will never learn of all the wisdom contained in its pages no matter how long we study it.

Even He Takes a Day Off

 For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world. Hebrews 4:10 Holy Bible, New Living Translation

Jehovah did not need to rest after completing creating the universe. Like every good father, He leads by example. So, if it was important enough for Jehovah to rest, do you not believe, it was important enough for you to rest?

As well, He gave Himself certain tasks to be completed each day of creation. When the task was completed, He rested. Do you not believe that you should allow Him to dictate how much work you are going to complete in a day rather that your boss or yourself?

Jehovah is a busy God. He is holding the universe together, helping His children and preparing a Heavenly home for us. Yet, even He takes a day off to rest (to lead by example the need for rest, not that He needs one). Joseph a son of Jehovah                     

Are we too busy to take a rest?

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Reliqua autem Deus (God of rest) for blessing me with a special day to rest. It refreshes my body, mind and spirit. I praise You in the name of He whom I love to share that day of rest with Jesus Christ. Amen

In His time, In His Way.

Be still before the Lord; wait patiently for Him and entrust yourself to Him. Do not fret; it leads only to evil. Psalm 37:7-8 Holy Bible, New Living Translation  

When Jehovah gives you a vision or dream, wait for Him to fulfill it. When you go before Him it only leads to disaster.

I did when He gave me the vision of teaching, waited that is.

Instead of just jumping in and beginning to teach English as a Second Language, I patiently took a course and then waited two years before stepping out in His direction at His time.

Yes, I fretted (worried) over whether this is what Jehovah really intended for me to do in service unto Him.

Yes, I fretted (a lot) when He directed me to go China (Not a safe place for Christians to go).

But, as usual, it was all for nothing. Jehovah did direct me where to go and protected me while there. As well, He taught me so much during this time.

Jehovah works in His time, in His way. We, His children, are to go where Daddy leads and do as Daddy wishes us to do. This is the Christian life. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Emunah (God is faithful) for teaching me to be patient while I wait to accomplish Your tasks in Your way in Your time. I thank You in the name of He who waited until just the right time to come as a sacrifice for my entry into Your Heavenly family Jesus Christ. Amen

Do Not Even Associate With

 

Do not even associate with a man given to angry outbursts; Or go [along] with a hot-tempered man, Or you will learn his [undisciplined] ways And get yourself trapped  [in a situation from which it is hard to escape].Proverbs 22:24-25  Holy Bible, New Living Translation

These are explosive folks. You can be having a nice social conversation with them and suddenly they will explode in a rage. I have seen it numerous times and it was terrifying, until Jehovah blessed me with the peace, wisdom and grace to be firm with them and inform them that that childish behavior is not tolerated with me so either straighten up or get away from me. If they refuse to obey then I inform them they can discuss it with the police. Then they leave, all the while screaming like a banshee about how I am abusing them (it is not my fault, it is yours is their mantra). 

Do not try to reason with them because there is no reasoning with a fool. All that will happen is that you will get into a yelling contest with them and lose your temper, Then, they will manipulate you to lose your temper even more and they will be laughing at you on the inside.                                         

Never get into an argument with a fool. To do so, you have to go down to their level and they will beat you every time from experience. Anonymous 

I speak from a lot of experience.

In the future I refuse to even acknowledge them (even to say hello or good morning) because that opens the door and they are thieves. They will steal your peace and you will get into another yelling contest. Again, I speak from a lot of experience.

I depend upon the Holy Spirit to bless me with strength, wisdom and grace to handle these poor pitiful folks. Yes some of them are like this because of unresolved issues in their lives but most are like this because they just love to fight.    

The pitiful thing is though, that because they are cursed with this disposition, they have no friends, especially in their elder years.                                    

“No weapon that is formed against you will succeed; And every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn. This [peace, righteousness, security, and triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And this is their vindication from Me,” says the Lord. Isaiah 54:17 Holy Bible, New Living Translation  

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah-Shalom (The Lord blesses with Peace) for blessing me with peace while dealing with a war monger who attempts to steal it from me. Thank you for blessing me with the wisdom in how to prevent them from stealing Your Divine gift from me. I praise You in the name of the Prince of Peace Jesus Christ. Amen
