The Further Away We Get From

The further away we get from prayer, the further away we get from Jehovah. Joseph- Anthony: Green

We Would Not Believe It.

For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 Holy Bible Amplified Version

I am glad Jehovah did not inform me of His long term plans for me because I would not have believed it. Many of them would have been terrifying to me because He walked with me through some pretty difficult and dangerous times. They had to happen to make me grow in faith, reverence, love and respect for Him.

As well the plans He had for me to be in service unto Him were unimaginable to a quiet country boy like me.

“Sometimes God does not tell us His plan because we would not believe it anyway.” Carlton Pearson

Prayer: Thank you Jesus Rohi ( Jesus is our Divine Shepherd )for blessing me for with holding Your Divine plans for me because they would have been too terrifying and beyond my capability to understand them. Thank You for the incredible things You have accomplished in my life and through my life through those plans. I exalt You in Your awesome name. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Notice it Says Continually.

Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face continually [longing to be in His presence]. 1 Chronicles 16:11 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

Notice it says continually.

Have you ever seen a chicken after its head has been chopped off ( those who grew up on a farm fifty years ago know what I am referring to, sorry if it offends you city slickers) ? The chickens body flows and runs all around the place for a minute or two.

How many of us do this when unexpected problems or catastrophes slam into us?

I know in my early walk with Christ this occurred many times at the slightest incident. Now when the event first occurs there is the initial shock and worry but I do as the Holy Spirit has trained me to do over many decades: I take it to the Lord in prayer and trust His providence to see me through, that is what faith is. This only becomes second nature because of continuous daily communion with Him.

He Divinely guides most of my every moves. I say most because there are moments in all of our lives where we surrender to selfish fleshly desires.

He always provides me with strength to accomplish the daily tasks He assigns us and yes He does assign us daily tasks as every King does his servants.

Just as Christ is our Heavenly King, so too are we His earthly servants. Joseph son of Jehovah.

The more we experience this the stronger our trust in Him to provide for and protect us in our disasters.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah ‘Immeku (The Lord Is With You) for blessing me continuously with Your wonderful presence every moment of my life. I cherish our communion together. Thank you for walking with me through the many trials and tribulations experienced in my walk with You and for walking with me through my crucifixion, being put through the furnace to burn off the dross. I know these event were necessary and that they would have been impossible to accomplish if You were not there with me. I exalt You in the name of He who blessed all He spent time with as He walked amongst us Jesus CHRIST. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Why Would We Be?

Even so, consider yourselves to be dead to sin [and your relationship to it broken], but alive to God [in unbroken fellowship with Him] in Christ Jesus. Romans 6:10-12 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

We would we be?

Why would we be in deeper companionship with Christ the more we meditate upon the cross?

Here is what I do every morning: in the part of the morning prayer where I give thanks unto Jesus I take a swallow of red wine vinegar after thanking Christ for shedding His Holy blood, suffering and dying for my filthy sins. When the vinegar goes down it burn the throat, as this happens I think of my Beloved screaming :” My god, my God why have You deserted me.” and think of the time when I left Jehovah and contemplate how painful it was. Just think of how it felt for Christ how enjoyed deep love with His Heavenly Father to have deserted Him in His time of suffering.

Then the wine burns my stomach ( because it is empty in the morning) and reflect of the Roman soldier piercing my Beloveds side. Finally there is a warmth that envelopes my entire heart. I reflect upon the piercing agony Jehovah must have felt watching this horrendous event take place.

After that I eat a sweet cookie and reflect on the sweetness of communion with my Heavenly Beloved.

The more we meditate upon what Jesus suffered on that cross the more we appreciate, respect, love and adore Him.

Because of this I am blessed with unbroken fellowship with my Heavenly Beloved every moment of every day.

“The more we meditate on the cross, the deeper our companionship and knowledge gets of Christ the Lord.”  Pishoy Kamel

Prayer: Thank you Jesus Christ Hoshe’ah ( The Lord Saves ) for Your amazing sacrifice that has enabled me to receive forgiveness for my filthy sins and therefore the privilege of becoming a member of Your Divine family. I praise You in Your magnificent name. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Are You Calling Jehovah a Liar?

Let your character [your moral essence, your inner nature] be free from the love of money [shun greed—be financially ethical], being content with what you have; for He has said, “I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!” Hebrews 13:5 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

Are you calling Jehovah a liar?

Notice how He said for He will NEVER desert us nor forsake us. . That is a direct promise from Him unto us.

To forsake us means turn away from entirely. That is like saying you turn your back on someone. Jehovah will never turn His back on you as long as you never turn your back on Him. He will see your daily needs and supply you with them. Sometimes He will abundantly, sometimes frugally but always supply your daily needs.

If you turn your back on Him and refuse to obey Him then He most certainly will turn His back on you ( read about it in the Old Testament before the Israelites and Judeans were destroyed by the Chaldeans and Babylonians ).

It is not that Jehovah walks away from you but that you have walked away and turned your back on Him. Joseph son of Jehovah

To desert us means to leave usually without intent to return. That means to walk away from someone.

As long as you do not walk away from Jehovah, He will not walk away from you. He will never walk away from you when you are experiencing difficulties.

When you doubt your circumstances outcome you doubt that He will provide for you. That is calling Him a liar.

Notice how we are commanded to be content with what we have. That means we are not to be suckers and foolishly go out and get into debt ( which is becoming a slave by the way) buying things we do not need like a new car when there is nothing wrong with the old one, or buying a house you cannot afford or buying a new mobile phone just because it has some new gadget this year when there is nothing wrong with the old one. These things are a form of gluttony and pride. Both of them are disgusting unto Jehovah.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Emunah (God is faithful) for always being faithful unto Your word to this loved child of Yours. I take great comfort and strength in Your Holy Word. I praise you in the name of the greatest Word of truth Jesus Christ. Amen

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

A Memorial Offering Before God

And the angel said to him, “Your prayers and gifts of charity have ascended as a memorial offering before God [an offering made in remembrance of His past blessings]. “Acts 10:4 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

A memorial is something that keeps remembrance alive.

Many of us at time become discouraged when our gifts of charity are abused and the recipients are very ungrateful. When you become discouraged by this arrogant selfish behaviour and wonder if it has any meaning remember that even though it is not appreciated by the recipients it is cherished by Jehovah.

Your prayers and charity may be unnoticed by man but is the sweetest offering of love to Jehovah. Joseph son of Jehovah

When it seems as if those you are praying for fight both you and Jehovah to access the fulfillment of the blessing of the prayer and you wonder if it is an exercise in futility remember that it is a sweet cherished gift unto Jehovah. This is especially true when done as a gift of appreciation unto Jehovah for past blessings He has bestowed unto you.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Kabodhi ( The Lord my Glory ) for blessing me with the assurance that my prayers and gifts unto You by serving others will be rewarded with glory in Your Heavenly home. I praise You in the name of my Heavenly King who will place the crown upon my head upon entry into Your Heavenly home Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Faith is an Action Word.

For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed in (trusted, relied on) God, and it was credited to his account as righteousness (right living, right standing with God).” Romans 4:3The Holy Bible Amplified Version

Faith is an action word.

Abraham was told to leave the comfort of the city he dwelt in and to leave all the wealth he had to go out into the unknown.

He did not know where Jehovah was leading him, He did not know where his daily provisions were going to come from.

He did not have any protection from the wild animals nor bandits. At that time He did not even know Jehovah.

Yet, through all of this he obeyed when Jehovah told him to leave his comfort and security to go out to the unknown world ( at that time leaving the security of the city you were living in was like going to another planet).

You are told to go when it does not makes sense to go. You are living a comfortable life. You are going to leave family and friends, have no means of financial support and no protection will you have the faith ( which is another word for trust) to obey Jehovahs command?

You are told to stay when it does makes sense to. You have no job but there is another one offered in another city. Your savings have been depleted. There is rising crime rate with little protection from the authorities. Will you have the faith to stay when all else says to flee?

Faith is obedience.

Will you trust Jehovah to do what does not make sense to do and to not do what does make sense to do?

In my life all of my failures can be traced back to lack of faith in Jehovahs commands.

My greatest successes were when I was obedient unto Jehovahs commands even though they seemed insane ( indeed many of my biggest fights with the family was when they were trying to convince me to disobey Jehovahs commands and I was bitterly mocked for my obedience ).

Prayer: Please Jehovah Emunah (God is faithful) bless me to always be faithful and obedient unto You knowing that You are the most faithful of all and Your commands are for my good. I sincerely request this in the name of He who was obedient and faithful unto You all the way to the cross Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

We are in this Together.

The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power]. James 5:16 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

We are in this together.

We need to pray for each other more than we need to lend a helping hand.

The reason for this is that through our prayers we bring into play Jehovahs power at our request.

After all, what loving father would not oblige an obedient, respectful loving childs request if the child asks trusting that the request will be answered in the positive.

Through my prayers amazing things blessings have occurred for others that are impossible to answer using human logic. This of course of the perfect timing to share the gospel with others and bring them into Jehovahs awesome family.

Praying for others is a true act of love towards them. Joseph son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireh ( God provides ) for always providing for the receptive ones I pray for. I exalt You in the name of He who is the answer to all of our prayers Jesus Christ. Amen

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

I do Not Cease.

I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. Ephesians 1:16 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

It is not by accident that certain folks enter into your life. They may be mentors, they may be encouragers, they may be comforters or they may be helpers.

It is an important part of your life to be thankful unto both Jehovah and those He sends into your life. Remember them every day with joyful thanks in your prayers.

And then, sincerely pay it back.

Ask Jehovah to use you to be an encourager, helper, mentor or comforter unto someone else.

Indeed ask that Jehovah guides you to someone outside of His Holy family so that through this experience you may be the catalyst to move their hearts into becoming His children as well.

There are two important words that should be in every Christians prayer: Thank you. Joseph son of Jehovah

Prayer: Please Jehovah Ezer (The LORD our Helper) bless me with plentiful opportunities to bless others by being their helper as You have blessed me. Please accept this as my offering of gratitude unto You for Your bountiful blessings unto me. I ask this in the name of He who is Your greatest blessing Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.
