An important lesson.

“God does not give us everything we want, but He does fulfill His promises, leading us along the best and straightest paths to Himself.” Dietrich Bonhoeffer”

We have a epileptic cat.

One day I opened a jar of coconut oil and he just gobbled it up. He then proceeded to have seven seizures in less that eight hours.

The Holy Spirit spoke to me and said:” You see, sometimes what we desire Jehovah will not give us because it will do us more harm than good. What we think is good is actually a curse. “

So if you have prayed for something and have not received it, instead of pouting thank Poppa for it because it would end up doing you more harm than good.

By the way a little pet advice. DO NOT give your cat or dog dry food. It causes many serious health issues including diabetes.

And, instead of putting a big bowl of food out for them where they can be gluttons and put on weight, feed them a meal in the morning and in the evening.

Every vet I talked with has said the same thing.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireh ( God provides Philippians 4:19 ) for blessing with giving me what I need and not giving me what will do me harm. I praise You in the name of Your greatest gift, Jesus Christ. Amen May you have a grateful towards He who has given so much to you.

Seleh- stop and think about it.

The Important Thing is to Not

I believe we have all been stupid and stubborn at some time in our lives. The important thing is to not make it a lifestyle. Joseph a son of Jehovah

But God Will Be

Then Jacob said to Joseph, “Look, I am about to die, but God will be with you and will take you back to Canaan, the land of your ancestors. Genesis 48:21 The Holy Bible ,The New Living Translation

Many times we have to part ways with Godly mentors but that is okay because The Holy Spirit it always with us and guides us along The Path to Heaven that Jesus has chosen for us to follow.

That has happened so many times in my life.

Someone I greatly admire and I part ways and I feel as if I am the only one in the world.

That is good because although Godly mentors are important it is more important that they are not placed above The Trinity.

As well, that Godly mentor can only lead us so far and then The Holy Spirit will guide us to another one to continue on the journey like a relay race.

Boy, has that happened a lot in my life as well.

Oh, and do not forget that at some point you will be a mentor to someone as well. It will happen numerous times.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireth (Genesis 22:14 The LORD Shall Provide ) for blessing me with so many wonderful mentors along the Path to Heaven You have chosen for me to travel in this life. Thank you as well for the many opportunities I have had to be a righteous mentor to others. I praise You in the name of the best mentor, Jesus Christ. Amen

SELAH!

SELAH! Pause – reflect- just think of that!

Absolute Truth

Absolute Truth

Josh McDowell said recently that most evangelical Christian youth in the United States no longer believe in “absolute truth.”

“In 1991, 52 percent of our born again church kids said there is no absolute truth.  In 1994, 62 percent said there is no absolute truth.  In 1999, 78 percent of born again church kids said there is no absolute truth. In 2002, 91 percent of our born again church kids said there is no absolute truth.”

The cause of this problem is the influence of secular education and secular media since the 1960’s.  This adverse effect upon moral authority is also reflected in the beliefs and attitudes of these teens’ parents.

Until recent years, Christians throughout history accepted the classic evangelical doctrine of the absolute authority of God’s Word.  The Bible is the Word of God, and it is infallible and inerrant.

Jesus taught the authority and complete reliability of the Bible in everything it teaches.  Whether our generation accepts or rejects it or not, the Bible is still God’s Word and is inerrant in whatever it teaches.

Jesus affirmed the Bible’s total inspiration, inerrancy, and utter indestructibility when he said, “The Scripture cannot be broken” (John 10:35).

There are teachers in our day who foolishly play Jesus against the inspiration and infallibility of the Word of God.  The Bible is about Jesus and demonstrates that He is its fulfillment.  Jesus perfectly fulfills the Law and the Prophets. They point to Him, and He is their fulfillment (Luke 24:25-2744-47).  Jesus fulfilled the moral laws by His obedience, the prophesies by specific events in His life, and the sacrificial system by His own substitutionary once for all atoning death on the cross.

When people reject the unique, divine character of the Bible, they reject its authority, too.  God stands behind His Word.

For the last half century, the church has bought into the world system of beliefs instead of the divine authority of the Word of God.

Second Peter 1:21 tells us the men whom the Holy Spirit chose to record the Scriptures were carried or born along with their writings to produce the words that God intended to be recorded.  The word in the original text meaning to be carried, or borne along was used of a ship carried along by the wind (Acts 27:1517). Here it is a metaphor that the prophets raised their sails and the Holy Spirit filled them and carried their craft along in the direction He wished. Men spoke; God spoke. These men wrote as men, but as men moved by the Holy Spirit.  “No prophecy ever came by the impulse of man, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.” Men wrote but God the Holy Spirit was the inspiration of the writings.  The men used their literary style, vocabulary, and personality, but the Holy Spirit guided them in the final choice of the words and guaranteed the accuracy of the original manuscripts.

We need have no reserve in regard to the Word of God, recognizing its full authority. Second Timothy 3:16 tells us the Scriptures are “God-breathed,” “breathed into by God,” hence inspired. Holy men spoke and wrote by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. This was the unanimous view of the early church.

John Calvin wrote, “This is the principle that distinguishes our religion from all others, that we know that God has spoken to us and are fully convinced that the prophets did not speak of themselves but as organs of the Holy Spirit uttered only that which they had been commissioned from heaven to declare – all those who wish to profit from the Scriptures must first accept this as a settled principle, that the law and the prophets are not teachings handed on at pleasure of men or produced by men’s minds as their source, but are dictated by the Holy Spirit. We owe to the Scriptures the same reverence as we owe to God, since it has its only source in Him and has nothing of human origin mixed with it” (Calvin’s New Testament Commentaries, Vol. 10, p. 330).

John Wesley said, “In all cases, the church is to be judged by the Scriptures not the Scriptures by the church.”  The Bible is still the supreme authority for the Christians in all matters. It is not what we think Jesus would do or how we feel He would interpret the Scriptures, but “Thus says the Lord.”

In their original from, the books of the Bible are free from factual error, and they possess absolute, binding authority.  “If the Bible is inspired at all, it must be inspired verbally.  And verbal inspiration means infallibility.”  “Is not My word like fire?  And like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces” (Jeremiah 23:29).  God has spoken infallibility in His book.Selah!

Is No Good

Enthusiasm without knowledge is no good; haste makes mistakes. Proverbs 19:2 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

At my first visit to an outdoor swimming pool after getting changed I ran right out and jumped into the pool. Considering it was the deep end and I could not swim that was not a good idea.

If I had of taken the time to ask Jehovah I am sure He would have suggested I start in the shallow end.

Instead a little waterlogged boy got dragged out by a lifeguard. He was really cool. He was not angry and explained the error to me.

My enthusiasm without knowledge almost cost me my life.

One day before leaving for work my mom told me grandma would like a call from me because it would pick her up because she was sick. Then she went to work.

Loving my grandma I decided to go to her place and take care of her.

The problem was it was a ten mile hike from our farm to her house in town.

Of course in my haste I did not consult Jehovah.

This little boy barely made it there alive.

You see, in my hasty enthusiasm I forgot to take some water. And, considering it was the hottest time of year, that was not a good idea.

Boy did grandma ever freak out when she saw me when I finally got to her place. Instead of me taking care of her, she ended up taking care of her very dehydrated grandson.

Being hasty without consulting Jehovah can be deadly. Trust me, I know Joseph- Anthony a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Please Jehovah KalEl (voice of God) Isaiah 30:21 ) bless me to always consult with You before endeavoring on any task. And then, to be receptive to and obedient to the voice of my Heavenly Mentor, The Holy Spirit. I meekly request this in the name of my wise Teacher, Jesus Christ. Amen
