You know you are old if these describe you: You’re asleep but others worry that you’re dead.
Your back goes out more than you do.
You no longer laugh at Preparation H commercials.
The only reason you’re awake at 4 A. M. is to go pee for the fourth time during the night.
The pharmacy gives you a volume discount.
8 a.m. is your idea of “sleeping in.”
People call you at 8 p.m. and ask: “Did I wake you?”
Digestion is a consideration when reading a menu.
You have to pee so bad you think you are going to go cross eyed. When you finally get to the toilet all that comes out is a tinkle. When you put it back in your pants the rest comes out like a slow river that cannot be stopped. Repeat every hour on the hour except bed time when it is every other hour.
Nobody ever tells you to slow down.
You forget what you went shopping for so you make a list. The next time you go shopping you forget the list at home.
You need the leaf blower to blow out your birthday candles.
Someone breaks wind and you don’t laugh. You hope for their sake it is not a wet fart.
When you talk about “good grass”, you’re referring to someone’s lawn and wonder why the fool kids keep on talking about smoking it.
Soaking your feet in Epsom Salts borders on an erotic experience.
Your ears are hairier than the top of your head.
Your idea of the perfect nightcap is Metamucil.
Good sex is something you can only dream of because your love soldier cannot stand at attention anymore
You know you are alive when you wake up because dead folks do not feel pain all over their body
And finally, every day, you are looking forward to going to your Heavenly home more and more because life here on this planet is getting too crazy for you.
My question is: what idiot thought up the saying: your elder years are your best years?
For I have told you often before, and I say it again with tears in my eyes, that there are many whose conduct shows they are really enemies of the cross of Christ. They are headed for destruction. Their god is their appetite, they brag about shameful things, and they think only about this life here on earth. Philippians 3:18-19 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation
I have met many, including in my own biological family, that when it is tactfully explained to them their lifestyle is sinful, they just turn their heads away. I know I might just as well talk to the wall because they are not listening. They enjoy that lifestyle and have no intention of giving it up. They foolishly believe there is no consequences for their debauched lifestyle. Sometimes people don’t like being told that they are personally responsible for the consequence of their lifestyles.
They are deadly wrong.
It begins to catch up with them in their early forties and progressively gets worse as they age. It starts out slowly but as they age, their body and mind begins to become weaker and more sustainable to mental and physical diseases. Finally, in their final years they are bitter, lonely, shells of a human being waiting to die.
The strange thing is that they are in a living hell and want to die but are afraid of death because they know they will be cast into the eternal Hell when they pass on to the other side.
Please do not be like them.
Repent now and live a godly life or suffer the eternal consequences later.
Prayer: I humbly implore You, Jehovah Hashopet (Judges 11:2 The LORD the Judge ) to grant me the wisdom and grace to reach the heart and mind of those blasting down the highway to hell to convince them to turn from their wicked ways less they suffer eternal damnation. I candidly request this petition in the name of the Supreme Judge, Jesus Christ. Amen

Being a bit of an old geezer, I have seen oh so many fads come and go.
There was the hippy generation, the disco generation, the punk generation, and I have no idea what the generations from the nine teen nineties are called.
During one of them I was pressured greatly to conform to their lifestyle. I was bullied and laughed at a lot because of my refusal to join in the fun times.
It is interesting to see them now. They realize that lifestyle was meaningless.
Reflecting back on my walk with Christ in that time there are moments of pure ecstasy, there were many moments of suffering which brought me ever closer into Christ’s loving arm and engaged my trust in Him my adoration in Him, my love for Him and my dedication in service unto Him. This was good and pleasing unto my cherished Father in Heaven, King in Heaven and amazing tutor ( The Holy Spirit ) .
Mind you, this transformation will continue even in our Heavenly Home so do not think you are a finished product.
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

There has been so many times in my life when I was so discouraged there was no peace to be found anywhere. UNTIL, I got down on my knees and poured my heart out to our Heavenly Poppa. He sent the Holy Spirit to me and was blessed with an all encompassing peace which can only come from God.
There has been so many times in my life where it was one failure after another or , one disaster after another. It felt as if a huge boulder was being dragged around with me pulling it. Then, I got down on my knees and poured my heart out to our Beloved Heavenly Poppa. He sent The Holy Spirit to not only encourage me but to follow Him . Obedience brought success. Not instantly and most times not without a lot of pain but with great rejoicing at the success when completed.
Following the Holy Spirit’s guidance always brings to success. Joseph a son of Jehovah.
There has been so many times when it felt as if I was the only one on the planet, feeling extremely depressed. Then, I poured out my heart to our Heavenly, Beloved Poppa. He softly gently so spoke to me with reassuring words that affirmed He would never leave me nor forsake me because He loves me so much. An overwhelming all encompassing experience of peace and love filled every molecule in my body. No matter the situation, pour it out completely at Jehovahs loving feet. He loves you so much He cannot but help offer you the best remedy for whatever ails you. He is the best Heavenly loving Poppa. Joseph a son of Jehovah.

Prayer: Thank you kindly Jehovah Chatsahi (The Lord is my Strength Psalm 27:1 ) for walking amongst us so You understand the trials and temptations, the tribulations and sorrows we experience in our daily life.
As such, when I come to You seeking help You bless ME with: strength where I am weak and the opportunity to use this strength to help others. The mercy to forgive me when I succumb to my weakness and repent of them.
May I extend that to those who repent when they have wronged me. The gentleness of a loving friend to teach others how to be members of Jehovahs holy family when they are uneducated in the proper etiquette befitting such a noble family.
May I guide others to behave in such a regal manner.

Boy do I know this to be true.
I know quite a few folks that in their younger years would occasionally lie like a rug to get what they want or to refuse to accept responsibility for doing wrong or to get out of doing their fair share of work.
“Maturity is not based on age, but on the willingness to accept responsibility.” Dr. Edwin Louis Cole
Now that they are old they cannot tell a complete sentence without lying. They are so arrogant they think they are smart but really they look just plain stupid.
As a result they are left friendless and miserable.
The sad thing is that because their minds are so perverted they reject the truth as lies and accept nothing but lies from others.
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah El Emeth (Psalms 31:5) LORD GOD of Truth for blessing me with the truth and putting that application into my life. Many times it is difficult but in the long run it makes my life so much more fulfilling. I exalt You in the name of He who spoke nothing but the truth, Jesus Christ. Amen

The older we get, the more scars we have. There are different types of scars.
There is of course the physical ones, the mental ones and the spiritual ones.
The difference is that those that dwell in the world have no use for their scars.
I love to share the events in my life where Jehovah, Jesus and they Holy Spirit have touched me. How can I not? They were life changing. Joseph a son of Jehovah
We that belong to Christ use these scars to encourage those in His family. When we see another brother or sister suffering we come along side them and share our scars with them and how Jesus used these scars to help mature us and how His gentle love healed these scars.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah ELOHIM YAKOL (God, the Most Able 2 Corinthians 9:8) for blessing me with challenging times so as to enable me to use these experiences to encourage, teach and comfort others when they go through life’s troubles.
