Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified or dismayed (intimidated), for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Not the Jehovah has commanded us not asked us nor suggested to us to be strong and courageous. That is only accomplished by those who have faith – trust in Him. Joshua 1:9 The Holy Bible Amplified Version
Jehovah is not asking us nor is He suggesting to us to be strong and courageous. He is TELLING us.
Now where are we expected to get the strength and courage to face our demons and giants that are so much more powerful than us and have so much more resources then us?
Let me ask you two questions:
Question number one: who is stronger than Jehovah? Sounds kinda silly doesn’t because we know there is no one stronger than Him. Then why are we to be afraid and cowards when our Heavenly Superman is on our side?
Question number two: Who has more resources: our foes or our Heavenly Father? Then why are you weak kneed when facing them?
“Faith makes it possible, not easy.” — Sally Nguyen Faith means to trust.
How much do you truly believe there really is a God in Heaven and when He assigns a task for you which seems impossible or when facing giants He will not bless us with strength and courage to complete the task or defeat our nemesis’?
How much do you trust Him?
Those who do not have trust in Jehovah insult Him by their unbelief and distrust. Joseph son of Jehovah.
It is alright when we occasionally fail in this endeavour because we are weak humans. But, when we repent, which we must, He will fully expect you to get up and complete the task or defeat the foes by His strength and with His resources.
Prayer: Thank you Jesus Christ Helech ‘Olam (The Lord our King Forever) for blessing me with enlarging my confidence and trust in You through the numerous assignments in which You overflowingly supplied all the materials and skills to accomplish the divine task You assigned for me to accomplish in my service unto You. I praise You in Your generous name. Amen.
May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.
