We are responsible for the government we get.
We should attend debates and get all the candidates to put on record their promises on the penalty of fraud if they renege on their promises.
As well there should be free question time for everyone not a selected few to answer the constituents questions.
We should make it possible for middle income people to become representatives of us more so then the wealthy. After all there is more poor people ( compliments of corrupt officials ) than wealthy ones.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Third Person of the Trinity.
The Holy Spirit is a person, and should be treated with the respect of a divine person. He is a member of the Trinity, equal to God the Father and God the Son.
I am not saying there are three gods, but three divine persons who are also one. “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one” (Deut. 6:4).
The unbelieving world will not believe this great Biblical truth because it cannot. “It neither sees Him nor knows Him,” Jesus said. “But you know Him, for He lives with you and will be in you” (John 14:18). Jesus promised His disciples “another Comforter to be with you forever—the Spirit of truth” (v. 16). Another divine person was being sent to continue the work of the Kingdom of God. Jesus was not sending a thing, but another divine person, a member of the Godhead.
R. A. Torrey observed, “If we once grasp the thought that the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person of infinite majesty, glory and holiness and power, who in marvelous condescension has come into our hearts to make His abode there and take possession of our lives and make use of them, it will put us in the dust and keep us in the dust. I can think of no thought more humbling or more overwhelming than the thought that a person of Divine majesty and glory dwells in my heart and is ready to use even me.”
The divine personality of the Holy Spirit is observed in His actions. He is promised as a Counselor, Helper or the Encouraging One for believers. He gives His gifts to build up the body of Christ (John 14:16-18; 1 Cor. 12:11). He is another Counselor of the “same kind.” He is another divine being doing the will of the Father just like Jesus. He lives with Christians and in them. He is equal to the Father and the Son.
The Holy Spirit has the same divine attributes as the Father and the Son. He is “holy,” omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent just like the Father and the Son (1 Cor. 2:10-11; Jn. 16:12-13; Lk. 1:35; Ps.139:7-10).
The Holy Spirit does works that are exclusive of God. He is creator, imparts life, gives spiritual birth, gave the inspired Word of God, the Bible, and equips believers with spiritual gifts (Job 26:13; 33:4; John 3:5-6; Rom. 8:11; 2 Pet. 1:21). It is not a spiritual force or power that gives gifts. Only a person can do that.
The Holy Spirit has a distinct personality from the Father and the Son. Jesus said of Him, “When the Counselor comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father, He will testify about me” (John 15:26). The Spirit is ranked coordinate with God the Father and God the Son. He is equal in power and deity. “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all” (2 Cor. 13:14). We are commanded, “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matt. 28:19).
He is given a personal name. Peter said, “Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit?” (Acts 5:3). Holy Spirit is His name, and He is God. “You have not lied unto men, but unto God” (v. 4).
The sin against the Holy Spirit is an offense against a divine personality, and it has eternal consequences (Matt. 12:31-32).
The Holy Spirit is a real person whose work is to get hold of our lives and use us to the glory of God. As long as we think of Him as a mysterious power, or influence our thoughts will be to get more of the Holy Spirit, and we will be filled with self-exaltation and self-pride. When we think of Him as a Divine Person, a member of the Trinity, we are occupied with how He can have more of me. How can I make myself available to Him to glorify the Father and be used in the Kingdom of God?
We honor the Holy Spirit by recognizing and relying upon His work in our lives, in our churches and in reach8iang the lost world. When we ignore Him, we Him and disobey Him we dishonor the Godhead. Our attitude and response to the Word of God honors or dishonors the Holy Spirit who is its Author. Being “filled with the Spirit” means to obey Him and be in submission to Him. When we are under His control we bring honor and glory to the Lord God.Selah!

As Christians we are to be set apart from worldly cares.

Every homosexual that I sat down and had a respectful conversation with has admitted they know their lifestyle is wrong.
It is the same with swindlers, drug users and those that live a selfish lifestyle that get what they want by using and abusing others.
And, they all give the same stupid reason for doing it: I know it is wrong but that is my choice ( as if that makes it right ).
They all know there is a God but reject Him in their life refusing to accept that they will be punished for their vile, filthy, wicked lifestyle.

Yes, Jehovah is a loving God but part of that love is to punish the wicked for the harm they have caused the innocent.

I say, don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights. A servant of the Lord must not quarrel but must be kind to everyone, be able to teach, and be patient with difficult people. Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. There are many types of fights we should avoid.
# 1 There are the war mongers. No, I am not talking about armies but rather there are those that love to fight and argue for the fun of it. Do not let your guard down around them. If there is any opportunity they will jump on it to cause fights. From my experience it always catches up with them in their later years and they end up all alone, bitter and very lonely.
# 2 The “ I know every thing. You know nothing “ idiots. I say they are idiots because many times you see them heading for disaster or know a easier way to accomplish a task and they arrogantly laugh at you with a superior attitude while they know nothing about what they are attempting to do. Then, when disaster strikes instead of being mature and admitting their error they blame you.
We must not quarrel with them but must be kind to them, be able to teach them, and be patient with them.
But, if they refuse to listen, we are to wash our hands and walk away from them and let them suffer the consequences of their arrogant stupidity.
Now if they are willing to listen and obey our instructions afterwards we are not to be superior to them or rub their noses in it but be respectful to them.
I have been on both side of the coin. When I realized the error of my ways I went and apologized to those I refused to listen to and thanked them for their help. It was much more difficult walking away from those heading for disaster.

I understand how Jesus feels.
Think of how you feel when you give a gift to someone and they do not thank you for it but rather, abuse it.
Think of how Jesus feels when those who claim to be His ( Christians ) do not appreciate Jesus’ by not obeying His command to love others.
Now think of how care givers feel when we sacrifice ( And yes, it is a sacrifice to give up our time and energy to care for our parents. Indeed, most of us have given up our lives to care for them.) so much for our parents and they repay us with nothing but abuse while the rest of the family who contributes nothing gets everything. Most of us have given up our careers and receive no financial compensation in return even though the parents have the means to do so. Instead they give it to those who contribute nothing. I know many times I personally put in over forty hours a week. Many of the others have put in full time hours as well.
When people work, their wages are not a gift, but something they have earned. Romans 4:4 The Holy Bible, The New Living Testament
I know I speak for the majority of care givers because I know fifteen in our county ( including myself ) that fits this description to a tee.
What is even worse is when the parents claim to be Christians.
Think of how Jesus feels when He directs us, His free will servants, to give up our lives to care for our parents and receive nothing but abuse in return. By taking care of them we are serving Jesus.
Prayer: Thank you Ha-Melech Jesus Christ (Psalms 98:6 The LORD the King ) my King that I have dedicated my life to serving that Your loyal servants shall be richly rewarded for our service while those who claim to be Your while dancing with the devil shall be severely punished. There is no other way to say it. Christianity is Christ.
Christianity is centered on the person and work of Jesus Christ. If the focus is on anything else it is not Christianity. That great truth is stated throughout the New Testament. In fact, everything in the Old Testament leads up to that great truth regarding His person and work.
The apostle Peter was one of the first individuals to accept that great fact. Jesus asked the question, who do the people say that I am? (Matthew 16:13). The disciples had been with the people and they told Jesus what they had heard. Some said He was John the Baptist risen from the dead, others that He was the prophet Elijah, some said He was the prophet Jeremiah.
Then Jesus asked the real question. “Who do you say that I am?” (v. 15). Peter spoke up for the whole group saying, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God” (v. 16).
That is what makes Jesus Christ so unique. He is not just a prophet, or a good moral teacher, but He is “the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Jesus is the Messiah. He is the one who will reign forever on the throne of His great ancestor King David (2 Sam. 7:13, 16; Lk. 1:33; Rev. 22:16; Rom. 1:3; Jn. 7:42; Matt. 1:1). The eternal King is the Messiah. Jesus is God’s Anointed One who was sent to do God’s specific will. He is the one promised in the Old Testament.
Jesus is divine. He is “the Son of the living God.” It is an exalted view of Jesus. Peter could not have ascribed a higher place to Him. He declared in his confession that Jesus is God Himself who came to save His people from their sins.
In the original language the statement is even stronger than in English. “You are the Christ, the Son of the God, the living One.” This is a most comprehensive statement of the essential being of our Lord.
This truth is so important for us to understand that Jesus responded to Peter saying, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by the Father in heaven” (v. 17). It is important that we keep in mind that Peter did not gain this understanding by human intelligence or profound spiritual insight. God revealed that truth to Peter; it was received by divine revelation.
We too must understand and accept this important truth in order to be saved. Jesus Christ is “very God of very God.”
One of the disciples of Jesus, Thomas, saw Jesus alive after the resurrection and declared, “My Lord and my God” (John 20:28).
Everything that Jesus did in dying as our sacrifice for sin depends on who He is. If Jesus were not God, His death would be like yours and mine; He would only be dying for His own sins. If He were not God His death could not atone for anyone’s sins. However, because He is “very God of very God” His death on the cross has infinite value to take away our sins as the chosen Lamb of God.
If you believe this great spiritual truth it is because God has revealed it to you by the Holy Spirit. “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
Jesus Christ is the Messiah. He is the Son of the living God. He is the sinner’s Savior. In fact, He is the sinners only possible Savior. “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as you shall be saved.” To trust in anyone else is to spend eternity in hell. There is no other way, not because I say so, but because God said it. The Bible says, “that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation” (Romans 10:9-10).Selah!
