I am grateful for The Holy Spirit waking me up early enough to be the first one in the pool. I was up late meditating.
I am grateful for the rain this afternoon. It lulls me to sleep in the sanctuary.
I am grateful to have finally talked with the man next door doing a project for a medical centre. He informed me I could have all the skids there ( which are made into raised gardens ).
I am grateful for The Holy Spirit guiding me to make a canal down a row of vegetables so there is no need to carry buckets of water thirty feet.
If you listen obediently to the Voice of God, your God, and heartily obey all his commandments that I command you today, God, your God, will place you on high, high above all the nations of the world. All these blessings will come down on you and spread out beyond you because you have responded to the Voice of God, your God: God’s blessing inside the city, God’s blessing in the country; God’s blessing on your children, the crops of your land, the young of your livestock, the calves of your herds, the lambs of your flocks. God’s blessing on your basket and bread bowl; God’s blessing in your coming in, God’s blessing in your going out. God will defeat your enemies who attack you. All the peoples on Earth will see you living under the Name of God and hold you in respectful awe. God will lavish you with good things: children from your womb, offspring from your animals, and crops from your land, the land that God promised your ancestors that he would give you. God will throw open the doors of his sky vaults and pour rain on your land on schedule and bless the work you take in hand. You will lend to many nations but you yourself won’t have to take out a loan. God will make you the head, not the tail; you’ll always be the top dog, never the bottom dog, as you obediently listen to and diligently keep the commands of God, your God, that I am commanding you today. Normally I keep politics out of my blog but because this is, in my opinion, a very important election in Canada as a Christian I feel it my duty to educate all Christians in this country to the alternative to the main political parties.
Have lived through numerous parties in power I have seen that, in my opinion, they do not represent Christian values.
Therefore in this election I have voted for the Christian Heritage party. Their platform represents what I believe needs to be done in this country to improve our economic, educational, environmental, judicial and security.
“Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you enter the land I am going to give you, the land itself must observe a Sabbath to the Lord. For six years sow your fields, and for six years prune your vineyards and gather their crops. But in the seventh year the land is to have a year of Sabbath rest, a Sabbath to the Lord. Do not sow your fields or prune your vineyards. Do not reap what grows of itself or harvest the grapes of your untended vines. The land is to have a year of rest. Do you believe just because it is old it is worthless?
The Word of God is older than the hills. It is to be trusted and obeyed because it is the wisest.
Because they did not obey Gods commandment in the United States and give the land a rest, is it not a historical fact that that is what caused the “dust bowl” of the nineteen thirties?
Now concerning the farmland in the world, how many farmers give their crops a years rest?
Indeed, how much farmland in the world is owned by big companies like Monsanto? Do they care about obeying Gods word or about profit?
You see, it used to be that farmers rotated their crops. That meant that one year they would grow say vegetables and the next use it for cows to graze on. It allowed the ground to regain the nutrients it gave up to the vegetable the year before.
Now, because they do not give the land a rest it is growing weaker and weaker every year. This means they have to put stronger and stronger fertilizer on it. This means there are less and less nutrients in our food.
It is true that fruits and vegetables grown decades ago were much richer in vitamins and minerals than the varieties most of us get today. Eventually it is going to collapse.
When that happens, and it could happen any time now, there is going to be a world wide famine like never before in history.
When that happens, do not say:” God, how can you do this to us?”
It is not Gods fault, it is mans for refusing to obey Gods wise command.
What are you doing to take care of the land around you?

Prayer: Please Jehovah Elohim (God our creator) move people to more sustainable and organic farming and move their hearts to obey Your discerning Word. I ask this in the name of He who feeds us spiritually Jesus Christ. Amen.
