Christ Our Propitiation
Please don’t let that title scare you off. That is a beautiful and profound word.
Christ’s death turns away the wrath of God. The apostle Paul said Christ is our propitiation. He is a propitiatory sacrifice. It refers to what Christ did on our behalf before God.
We are “justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption, which is in Christ Jesus; whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith” (Romans 3:24-25).
God gave His Son as the means of the propitiation, “and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world” (1 John 2:2). “In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins” (1 John 4:10). A. T. Robertson said, “God could not let sin go as if a mere slip. God demanded the atonement and provided it.” It was “by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone” (Heb. 2:9).
The word “propitiate” in its classical form was used of the act of appeasing the Greek gods by a sacrifice, of rendering them favorable toward the worshipper. The sacrifice was offered by the pagan worshiper to buy off the anger of the god and buy his love. Note very carefully that this idea is not brought over into the New Testament. The LORD God does not need to be appeased nor is His love for sale.
In the New Testament it refers to the act of getting rid of sin which has come between God and man. The word hilasterion is used in the Greek translation of Leviticus 16:14 to refer to the golden cover on top of the Ark of the Covenant. In the Ark, below this lid, were placed the tablets of stone upon which were written the Ten Commandments, which Israel had violated. On the Day of Atonement before the Ark stood the High Priest representing the people who had sinned. When the sacrificial blood is sprinkled on this cover, it ceases to be a place of judgment and becomes a place of mercy. The blood comes between the violated law and the violators, the people. The blood of Jesus satisfies the just requirements of God’s holy law which mankind broke, pays the penalty for man, and thus removes that which had separated between a holy God and sinful man, sin, its guilt and penalty. This is far removed from the pagan idea of propitiation. Jesus Christ is God’s High Priest who was both the Mercy Seat and the Sacrifice, which transforms the former from a judgment seat to one where mercy is offered a sinner on the basis of justice satisfied.
Bengel observed that God, “’placed before the eyes of all’ unlike the ark of the covenant which was veiled and approached only by the high priest.”
The LORD God set forth His Son, the Lord Jesus, as the One who would be the satisfaction for our sins. Because God is satisfied with the payment of the sin debt, His wrath is turned aside, away from the believing sinner. Christ absorbed the wrath of God on our behalf. He bore our punishment as our substitute.
When God looked down upon the sacrifice He judged man guilty, the payment was paid in full, and in His righteousness could therefore acquit the believing sinner who put His trust in the Lamb of God. That mercy seat is the place were God met man in His grace since the sacrifice turned away the wrath of God because His righteousness was satisfied. The guilty sinner is spared because of the death of Christ in our place. When God looks down upon the believing sinner He sees not our sins and guilt, but the blood of Jesus. He is our expiatory sacrifice that satisfied the righteousness of God. His death paid our debt in full and a holy God was satisfied.
All of the lambs in the sacrifices in the Old Testament pointed to God’s perfect Lamb who would wholly remove our death penalty.
How do we know this is all true? We know we can trust God because a holy and righteous God tore the veil in the temple from top to the bottom. The moment Christ died it was like God the Father reached in and took hold of His outer garment and tore it from the top to the bottom in His mourning for His only Son. God tore the veil in two to open the way into His presence for all who believe on His Son as their sinless sacrifice who died as their propitiation. Bloody sacrifices came to an end in the temple because the death of Christ alone met all the holy demands of a thrice-holy God.
Have you placed your trust in God’s Lamb?
And Then He Shows His
[God] puts people in positions where they are desperate for his power, and then he shows his provision in ways that display his greatness.

It is Impossible for Us To.
Love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you. Luke 6:27-28 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation
It is humanly impossible for us to forgive someone who has hurt you badly. Especially if they laugh at you instead of ask for forgiveness.
To make matters worse is if you take the punishment because they framed you or cheated you out of money.
What I found is the best recipe is to pray to Jehovah that through the Holy Spirit you are blessed with the power to forgive. Do not think it is a one off experience but rather must be done daily. Believe me it will only be granted through sincere prayers.
I know from a lot of experience.
He will make you strong with power in your hearts through the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 3:16 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation
Oh and by the way, turn off the repeat button.
You know where you keep on repeating the incident in your mind again and again until it is ingrained in you and rage enslaves you.
Yes, it is natural to want them to be punished but have faith that Jehovah will punish them at the right time and in the proper manner. He will give them time to repent but if they refuse, look out.
If anyone does wrong, he will suffer for it. God does not respect one person more than another. Colossians The Holy Bible, 3:25 New Life Version
It is only by the power of The Holy Spirit that we have the power to forgive. Joseph- Anthony a son of Jehovah

Who Would Want to Change That?
Stay on the path that the Lord your God has commanded you to follow. Then you will live long and prosperous lives Deuteronomy 5:33 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation
I would not change a thing if I could do my life over again.
Everything was for my benefit both the good and the bad.
The bad helped me mature while drawing closer to Christ.
The good was fellowship with Christ.
Who would want to change that? Joseph- Anthony a son of Jehovah

Always in Abundant Supply
Jesus Christ is all-sufficient to meet our every need, but if He is going to meet our needs we must be willing to recognize our needs and call upon Him. There must be a turning to Him for help. He can supply every spiritual need we face in life if we respond to His abiding presence.
At the feeding of the five thousand Jesus provided food in abundance, and it is always that way with God (Matt. 14:15-21; Mk. 6:33-44; Lk. 9:12-17; Jn. 6:1-15). The interesting thing is Jesus initiated the feeding of the people. He knew in advance that He was going to meet their need. He was interested in their welfare. He was able to do it.
What is your attitude toward being fed by God? Do you feed upon Him?
God never ceases granting our petitions until we cease asking. True, He does not always answer the way we would choose, but it is always with our very best in His mind. I thank God that He has not always granted my requests from my selfish, ignorant perspective. He often says no, in order to give me His very best.
Jesus is ever coming to bankrupt sinners and placing His hand on the bank draft of heaven and says to us, “Write on it what you need.”
We have so little faith in things unseen and eternal. We draw so little on the resources of our heavenly Intercessor. “My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory.”
Have you humbly asked God to supply your needs from His all-sufficiency? He is able. Jesus tells us He is always willing to fill our empty buckets.
The wise person recognizes his need and asks God to meet every need as it arises.
God has not forgotten where you are. He is fully aware of your need and He is vitally concerned about your Christian life. He will supply all your need according to His abundant resources in accordance with His eternal purpose.
How do the circumstances of your life fit into His will? Is He not committed to your very best? Does He not see the full span of your life and your current life situation?
Has God forgotten you? Indeed not.
He does not base His giving on our merits, yet He invites us to come to Him again and again. His abundant supply never runs out.
“And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).Selah!

Will be Repaid Many Times Over
“Yes,” Jesus replied, “and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the Kingdom of God, will be repaid many times over in this life, and will have eternal life in the world to come.” Luke 18: 29- 30 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation
This is the best retirement investment there is.
When we give up everything for Christ, He will give us everything we need to live a comfortable life in our elder years. Joseph a son of Jehovah
I have made plans for my retirement that went up in smoke.
There was land purchased in my younger years that was taken away from me to by the politically correct. I lost all my dreams when I lost that.
Then I fell for what I now believe were scams by an investment company and went broke. Being a slow learner, it took three times before understanding that investment was a scam. Again my dreams were shattered.
When I dedicated my life to service unto our Heavenly King He sent me all over the world serving under very strenuous circumstances with little materially to show for the years of effort. There was deep concern that my final years would be spent living the paupers life with nothing to show for decades of service as old age crept in.
It was taken to my Heavenly Love and He reassured me with Bible verse after Bible verse for about three hours that He would bless me in this life as well as our eternal one.
One night Jesus gave me a dream that I was walking down a dark deserted street and was homeless. Then a rich man came to me and softly demanded I follow Him. He took me to an apartment that had nice clothes in it, the apartment was nice and there was food in the refrigerator and in the cupboards. Then He informed me that as long as I was obedient unto Him I would never be homeless, wear rags or have an empty belly.
He has been true to His word then, I am sure He is good for it now that the elder years are creeping ever faster in this old boys life.
Prayer: Thank you Jesus Ghmolah ( The God of Recompense. Job 11:20 ) that even though it looks like I am being a sucker and many times being abused in my service unto You, I believe Your promise to me to always take care of me including when I am in Your beautiful Heavenly home You have graciously prepared for me. It is in Your wonderful name I thank you. Amen
May you be blessed daily with the faith in our Heavenly provider that He always provides for all your needs. Joseph a son of Jehovah

To the Proper Road to Take
We do not know what to do, but we are looking to you for help.” 2 Chronicles 20:12 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation
Oh Boy, how many times has this been my experience.
When a teenager, I thought I was going to go insane. All the relatives wanted me to do different things with my life. Being a people pleaser was impossible but it was given a hard try. All was met with failure and huge guilt on my behalf because of everyone calling me a failure.
Thankfully the Lord guided me to a city far from them and slowly taught me to please Him rather than folks.
Whenever there was a fork in the road to Heaven with no knowledge of which to take there was only one smart thing to do; get on my knees and pray. By Jehovahs blessings The Holy Spirit always guided me to the proper road to take. Slowly over the decades He guided me more and more. Through this I became more and more sensitive to His voice. He has never led me wrong.
The Holy Spirit is the answer man to all of lives problems. Joseph a son of Jehovah
Prayer : Thank you Jehovah for sending me The Holy Spirit Kal El (voice of God) Isaiah 30:21 ) to speak with me and guide me in every aspect of my life to give glory to You and bless me with a fulfilling life. I laud You in the name of the greatest Sheppard, Jesus Christ. Amen
May you be blessed with ears that are attentive to The Holy Spirits voice and feet to follow the path He guides for you to travel on your journey to Heaven Joseph a son of Jehovah
