Can You Be Still?

heart-at-peace

“ Be still and know (recognize, understand) that I am God. “ Psalm 46:10 Holy Bible Amplified Version

I believe one of the greatest problems in western society today is business. We are so busy with our jobs , families and past times that there is no room for daily communion with Jehovah.

Spending daily time with Jehovah is the best stress reliever there is. Joseph- Anthony: Green

The consequence of this is broken families where there are strangers living in the same house or apartment. This expands into our neighbourhoods , cities, provinces and countries. How many folks know their neighbours ?

How many folks know anything about the souls living in a different part of their country ?

As well, you destroy your mental , spiritual and physical health when you are constantly busy.

I cherish the time spent every day with my Beloved. Many times He reveals His attributes to me that expands my love , admiration and respect for Him. An added benefit is that there is a peace and security that lasts all day from that morning commune with Him.

How can you love a stranger ?

If you spend no time with Jehovah then how can you know Him ? If you do not know Him then how can you love Him?

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Pryyand- God is my friend for graceful kindness in spending time with me every day . It is the most cherished part of my day . I extol You in the name of my best friend Jesus Christ . Amen .

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Better Rice and Beans than Steak.

true-friendship

Better is a dinner of vegetables and herbs where love is present Than a fattened ox served with hatred. Proverbs 15:17 Holy Bible , Amplified Version

I believe a modern way of saying this is better a poor mans meal of rice and beans where there is love thank steak where there is a lot of hate, jealousy and phony friends.

I know it to be true.

I have had fancy meals where the folks sitting at the meal could not even look each other in the face they hated each other so much ( and that was with family ) . Believe me , it was no an enjoyable meal. It was surprising they could even digest their meal . I wanted to bolt for the door.

A meal shared with hate is the worse meal to ever been eaten. Joseph- Anthony: Green

I have shared a meal with extremely poor souls that were giving me a portion of their food and it was just rice and beans. I felt like royalty. The love just permeated the atmosphere and I did not want the meal to end.

A meal shared with love is the best meal ever. Joseph- Anthony: Green

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Heseh (God is love) for the numerous times You have blessed me with communion with You and with those whose hearts overflow with love. I appreciate this in the name of my most cherished Beloved Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

A FEW TRURSTED FRIENDS

Thy Choicest Companions But there is a [true, loving] friend who [is reliable and] sticks closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24 Holy Bible Amplified Version

We have all had the good times friends. You know the type, they are there when the times are good but when you need their help, you are a stranger to them. Indeed, many times they will step back and either tisk tisk you (it is your own fault you are experiencing the difficulties) or they are laughing at you. We have all had the backstabbing friends, they are nice to your face but gossip about you when you are not around. We have all had the friends of convenience. They are your friend as long as they can get what they want from you and when they do not need you anymore, you are a stranger to them.

“I would rather have one true friend than many friends of convenience or good time friends.” Joseph- Anthony: Green

We have also all had the true friends. The ones you can depend upon to always be there for you. They are the ones we can confide in. They are more valuable than gold.

Let those be thy choicest companions who have made Christ their chief companion.” Thomas Brooks

Of course as all Christian know, we have the best friend we could ever ask for when we are blessed with Jesus Christ’s most awesome friendship.

Jesus is always there, Jesus always cares. Joseph- Anthony: Green

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Pryyand (God is my friend) for blessing me with the most awesome friendship with You and thank you for guiding me unto those of the same loving heart to enjoy fellowship with. I exalt You in the name of my best friend Jesus Christ. Amen

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

The Question is, Who Listens?

gods-word

Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you to fear the Lord [with awe-inspired reverence and worship Him with obedience]. Psalm 34:11 Amplified Bible

No, that is not your conscience speaking to you, that is the Holy Spirit.

The devil is an expert at twisting the truth into a lie so if you depend upon your “conscience” you are easy prey for Him.

Then how will you know if it is the Holy Spirit or the devil?

The answer is in developing a deep personal relationship with Jehovah by reading your Bible and obeying what it says.

From my personal experience when I am reading the Bible and a verse jumps out at me, that is the Holy Spirit speaking to me. I stop reading and pray for enlightenment. Then he guide me to understanding the Bible verse in context to what He is saying about my life.

Another way is to listen to good sermon like on sermonaudio and reading good Christian books like can be found on sites like goodread and https://www.gutenberg.org (personally my preference is for the old classics). Of course we should also have godly Christian councilors.

The problem I have sadly witnessed too frequently is that even when others know Jehovah is speaking to them the deliberately chose to ignore Him because he is telling them something they do not want to hear. They want their way, not Jehovahs. That is a sure recipe for disaster. Then when catastrophes occur they go cry babying to Jehovah and ask why He is doing this to them.

God is speaking to all of us, all the time. The question is not, to whom does God talk? The question is, who listens? Neale Donald Walsch

Are you experiencing difficulties in your life right now?

Are you listening to Jehovah as He is speaking to you?

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Rabbi (God our Teacher) for blessing me with patiently teaching me to be wise, gracious, humble and meek like my Beloved King Jesus. Thank you for the tools You have blessed me with to receive an ever deepening of these blessings. I exalt You in the name of the wisest Rabbi of all Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

This is the Jewel in My Heavenly Crown

little-rapids-in-serene-forest

This is the task my master has given me

My only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.” (Acts 20:24 New International Version)

While enjoying my morning meal of “The Breakfast of Champions” Bible reading (after all, read the treasures within. Isn’t it chocked full of champions?) this verse stood out to me. It made me feel good.

Imagine a king or emperor giving a special task, just for you.

My task is being a Christian writer and the longer I partake of my divine task, the less of a task it is. Every time an article helps someone draw closer to Christ that will be another jewel in my crown in Heaven.

Then when Christ, the Chief Shepherd, comes, you will get a glorious crown that will never lose its beauty. 1 Peter 5:4 New Century Version

Do you know why the crown will never lose its beauty?

It is because the jewels which are more precious than jade or diamonds are the people I have been blessed to help draw closer to Christ. THEY are the jewels.

We all have our calling in the heavenly family. When you do your part, you too will inherit a precious crown. Are you doing the task our master has assigned you? When you feel exhausted or dejected and want to quit, remember your crown awaiting you in Heaven. Do not believe any task is little, small or insignificant?

The truly generous is the truly wise, and he who loves not others, lives unblest. Henry Home

When I was a teacher I planted the seeds in some of my students. I look forward to meeting them in Heaven and sharing huge hugs and tears of joy with them.

So too it is with you. The little seed you plant today may become a beautiful apple tree that produces much Heavenly fruit tomorrow.

Read about the great evangelists of yesterday like Billy Graham and Spurgeon or Billy Sunday. Some were real party boys. They heard one little sermon or had one little encounter with a Christian and they went on to set the world on fire.

You too could be the match that sets the next Billy Graham on the world.

“Use what talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best.” – William Blake

No you do not desire your crown for pride but rather joy. The joy being that you have in some way guided another to heaven. It will be joy for them not pride for you. Joseph- Anthony: Green

If you believe you only have little in the way of skills or resources remember this: Little in the hands of Jesus can do much.

As well every time you serve Christ whether in your vocation, volunteer work or every day life, you will be putting another jewel in your crown.

There is no small act of kindness here on earth that is not great in Heaven. Joseph- Anthony: Green

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireh (God our Provider) for the wonderful privilege of having so many precious jewels in my crown. I ask my beloved that You bless me with so many more opportunities to add more jewels to this crown. As well oh cherished one, may these jewels have their own crowns to give even more glory to You. I give thanks and ask for this blessing in the name of Him who wears the most treasured crown, Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

This is how it works Jehovah loves us.

christs-family

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39 New International Version

Because He is perfect the only way to develop a relationship with Him is through the sacrifice of Jesus. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8 New International Version

Once we accept Jesus’ sacrifice the Holy Spirit will guide us in wisdom on how to enjoy a loving relationship with them. God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Romans 5:5-6 New International Version

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireh (God our provider) for the amazing provision You have awesomely blessed me with in developing a deep loving, respectful obedient relationship with the sacred trinity of You our Father, Jesus Christ our Savior, King and best Friend and the Holy Spirit, our teacher, comforter, healer, strengthener, and Guidance Councilor. I praise You in the name of He whose blood made this blessing possible Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

Do not play the blame game.

repent

Then he sent his brothers away, and as they were leaving he said to them, “Don’t quarrel on the way!” Genesis 45:24 New International Version

Joseph knew his brothers would be quarreling over who was responsible for him being mistreated when his father found out that he was alive and was going to meet him in Egypt.

Don’t we all do the same thing with the “not my fault, your fault” syndrome?

Is it not better to be mature and take responsibility for our wrongs and try to correct them? I know personally of some relationships that were destroyed that were once close because of this very action.

Are you experiencing trouble in a relationship with your spouse, children, parents, friends or co-workers?

Could it be that it is because you are being immature and irresponsible in not apologizing?

Sometimes these problems can only be solved by a good Christian councilor. I say Christian because their wisdom will come from the Bible which is the best guidance book of them all.

Why not try some Christian resource like Focus on the Family and see if they can suggest a councilor in your area?

If the other one or ones involved in this refuse to attend then go yourself.

That is exactly what happened to me and now I have peace while they are still warring within themselves and amongst themselves.

A wise man seeks wise council Proverbs 1:5 New International Version Prayer:

Please Jehovah Elohim (God our eternal creator) bless me with the wisdom, grace and meekness to resolve the problem of _________________ (write in what the problem is) my relationship with _____________ (write in the name of those involved with the problem). If necessary please guide us to Christ centered councilors to help resolve this dispute. I honestly request this in the name of the greatest councilor of all Jesus Christ. Amen.

WARNING: Do not pray this unless you are sincere because if you are not sincere and pray this and Jehovah brings you the guidance you need and you reject it you will be held accountable for your refusal on the terrible Day of Judgment.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
