The Faith of Adherence.

Then his wife said to him, “Do you still cling to your integrity [and your faith and trust in God, without blaming Him]? Job 2:9 Holy Bible Amplified Version

If anybody had the right to lose faith in Jehovah it is Job. Everything he had, his wealth family and health while remaining faithful unto Jehovah. Yet, through it all he persevered even though he did not understand while all the tragedy was happening to him.

There have been many times in my walk with Christ when I was suffering and not knowing why it was happening. I called out unto the Lord and He was silent. In the end I just told the Lord that even though it is tough and I do not understand why this is happening my faith in Him and His reason for allowing this was unshakable. It was later that I realized that some of them occurred to strengthen my faith while others were happening to burn off the dross. The final analysis though is that it was always for my own good.

“When I cannot enjoy the faith of assurance, I live by the faith of adherence.” — Matthew Henry

Prayer: Thank you Jesus Hamelech ( Jesus my Lord King ) that even though many times I do not understand what You are doing or why I have complete faith that You are doing this for my own good because You love me so much. I exalt You for this blessing in Your awesome name. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

We Would Not Believe It.

For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11 Holy Bible Amplified Version

I am glad Jehovah did not inform me of His long term plans for me because I would not have believed it. Many of them would have been terrifying to me because He walked with me through some pretty difficult and dangerous times. They had to happen to make me grow in faith, reverence, love and respect for Him.

As well the plans He had for me to be in service unto Him were unimaginable to a quiet country boy like me.

“Sometimes God does not tell us His plan because we would not believe it anyway.” Carlton Pearson

Prayer: Thank you Jesus Rohi ( Jesus is our Divine Shepherd )for blessing me for with holding Your Divine plans for me because they would have been too terrifying and beyond my capability to understand them. Thank You for the incredible things You have accomplished in my life and through my life through those plans. I exalt You in Your awesome name. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Be Thankful

In every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.1 Thessalonians 5:18 Holy Bible Amplified Version

I desired to make raised flower beds for my aged mother who can no longer bend over to work in her flower beds and she loves her flower beds and working in them. I wanted ten skids and my friend suggested he could get a truck and we could pick them up the next day, but because the truck he wanted to borrow was not available he phoned and informed me we could only get three.

There was disappointment and anger in my heart because we agreed upon ten.

After talking with Jehovah became I became grateful for what was given and for my friends help and waited for him to come pick me up the next day to get the skids.

The friend showed up with five skids in the back of his SUV the next afternoon. When we went to the place where the skids were supposed to be they were all gone. He drove to the place where he saw the skids on the side of the road during his morning walk and we got five more.

Because of that the raised garden could be made ( even though it was not as big as I wanted. I wanted to build a pyramid raised garden but the skids were too small).

As well there was enough skids to use as the base to make another bigger raised garden using a discarded dresser drawer. Another blessing was Jehovah giving me an idea on how to make more raised gardens as a border for our flower beds using materials around the house that I never thought of.

As a consequence there was not a need for so many skids.

When we desire something but Jehovah does not give us what we want but are to still be appreciative. Then Jehovah multiplies His blessings upon us.

A faithful (right-minded) man will abound with blessings. Proverbs 28:20 Holy Bible Amplified Version

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah-Jireh (God is our Provider) for providing for me the material necessary to build a monument of love towards Your cherished daughter, my mother and for the brother who graciously helped me. I thank You in the name of He who was grateful for the blessings of the disciples You sent unto Him Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

It Has not Crept Up.

Do not cast me off nor send me away in the time of old age;do not abandon me when my strength fails and I am weak. Psalm 71:9 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

Have you ever heard the old saying: “Old age has crept up on me.”

It has not crept up on me. It has come with numerous calling cards. I was reflecting upon this recently. I still go for long walks but now find there is a need for frequent stops for rest. Working in the garden all day doing heavy manual chores is a thing of the past. Even volunteering has taught me old age has not come a knocking but is already in my house ( my body). I used to be able to walk all day in the seniors home going from living area to living area. Now my knees will not take it. Working for Habitat for Humanity is challenging. I used to work very vigorously for ten hours straight in very difficult circumstances being a tree planter with no breaks but now there is a need frequent rests while doing things that were a breeze just a few short years ago.

“I thought growing older would take longer.” Unknown

The upside of it of course is the deeper wisdom Jehovah has blessed me with all these years. I love sharing it with the younger ones ( that are willing to listen).

Now there is less confidence in my abilities and complete confidence in Jehovahs unending abilities to take care of me.

There is so much less stress now. Now I can say with complete confidence that I know Jehovah will never desert me nor leave me.

We spend more time walking together and talking together ( no that is no senility it is a very real presence and conversation) which is deeply cherished.

So for all of you old fogies that despair of getting old I say I revel it my aging because it is so sweet, indeed, even Divine.

And, the most cherished of all, is having faith that there really is a heavenly home waiting for me where there is no such thing as an old dilapidated body but an awesome one which will be regenerated by my loving Heavenly Father.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Emunah (God is faithful) that You are faithful unto Your Divine vows to care for me in my old age. I exalt You in the name of my Faithful King whom shall greet me to the Heavenly Home He has faithfully promised awaits me upon my departure from this world Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Faith is an Action Word.

For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed in (trusted, relied on) God, and it was credited to his account as righteousness (right living, right standing with God).” Romans 4:3The Holy Bible Amplified Version

Faith is an action word.

Abraham was told to leave the comfort of the city he dwelt in and to leave all the wealth he had to go out into the unknown.

He did not know where Jehovah was leading him, He did not know where his daily provisions were going to come from.

He did not have any protection from the wild animals nor bandits. At that time He did not even know Jehovah.

Yet, through all of this he obeyed when Jehovah told him to leave his comfort and security to go out to the unknown world ( at that time leaving the security of the city you were living in was like going to another planet).

You are told to go when it does not makes sense to go. You are living a comfortable life. You are going to leave family and friends, have no means of financial support and no protection will you have the faith ( which is another word for trust) to obey Jehovahs command?

You are told to stay when it does makes sense to. You have no job but there is another one offered in another city. Your savings have been depleted. There is rising crime rate with little protection from the authorities. Will you have the faith to stay when all else says to flee?

Faith is obedience.

Will you trust Jehovah to do what does not make sense to do and to not do what does make sense to do?

In my life all of my failures can be traced back to lack of faith in Jehovahs commands.

My greatest successes were when I was obedient unto Jehovahs commands even though they seemed insane ( indeed many of my biggest fights with the family was when they were trying to convince me to disobey Jehovahs commands and I was bitterly mocked for my obedience ).

Prayer: Please Jehovah Emunah (God is faithful) bless me to always be faithful and obedient unto You knowing that You are the most faithful of all and Your commands are for my good. I sincerely request this in the name of He who was obedient and faithful unto You all the way to the cross Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Which Son are You?

double beautiful water lilies

“What do you think? There was a man who had two sons, and he came to the first and said, ‘Son, go and work in the vineyard today.’ And he answered, ‘I will not’; but afterward he regretted it and changed his mind and went. Then the man came to the second son and said the same thing; and he replied, ‘I will, sir’; but he did not go. Which of the two did the will of the father?” Matthew 21: 28- 31 Holy Bible Amplified Version

Which Son are You?

Personally I am the first son.

There have been so many times I believed Jehovah to be insane when He sent me on a task. Many times I stomped my foot and flat out refused to obey such a ludicrous suggestion. Upon reflection in quiet times I would slowly submit ( even though I was certain it was going to end disastrously for guess who). To my total shock and amazement the task was gloriously completed and I could not cease proclaiming His awesomeness and me admiration of Him. As my walk with our Beloved Heavenly Father progressed and these tasks became more challenging my attitude evolved from one of : “ Are you nuts; this is certain disaster. “ to : “ Okay my Love, I do not know how You are going to do it and am certainly looking forward to Your unusual way of providing for this child of Your to not only complete the task but to do so in a manner which glorifies You. “

Jehovah does not care if you argue as long as you obey. Joseph- Anthony: Green

On the other hand I have met many who openly profess to be obedient children of God yet refuse to obey His leading. They are the naughty second child.

Which one are you?

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Abba (God our Father) for blessing me with the Holy Spirit to prick my conscience into obedience unto You. I love You and always desire to be a loving obedient child of Yours. I humbly thank you in the name of my big brother Jesus Christ. Amen

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Yield and Submit.

WE MUST LET GO

“Now yield and submit yourself to Him [agree with God and be conformed to His will] and be at peace; In this way [you will prosper and great] good will come to you. Job 22:21 Holy Bible Amplified Version

It takes the two. It takes the two parts in this verse before you are blessed.

Number one is to stop.

Stop being independent and stubborn. Jehovah cannot and will not ever attempt to help someone who refuses help. We must yield our will and wants and submit unto Him.

The next part is just as difficult.

To submit ourselves unto Jehovah means we are to give Him total control over our lives like a horse submits to the reins of its rider.

Once these two difficult tasks are completed then come the blessing. The blessing may be a physical blessing but there is always a spiritual blessing. The spiritual blessing of course is that there is a lot less stress in your life because you trust Jehovah has control of your life. The same can be said for worry. Instead your life is filled with peace, contentment and a knowledge of security knowing we have a superior being directing and helping us live a Divine life.

Leaving it in Jehovahs hands is the better choice. He knows what He is doing while we only think we know what we are doing. Joseph- Anthony: Green

Prayer: Thank you Jesus Hamelech ( Jesus my Lord King ) for blessing me with the privilege of being a humble servant of the most noble King. Please bless me to always have a submissive heart unto Your will in every aspect of my life. I give thanks for this blessing and pray for this blessing in Your majestic name. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

I am Vindicated.

DEVINE COVENANT

And you shall know [with an understanding based on personal experience] that I am the Lord; For they shall not be put to shame who wait and hope expectantly for Me. Isaiah 49:23 Holy Bible Amplified Version

Have you ever experienced confirmation from Jehovah from a Bible Verse or from Christians councilors of a certain event that is going to occur in your life?

I have.

Everybody laughed at me and informed me it was certain failure to attempt to follow Christs lead. In all honesty when this first began I doubted myself the outcome. In due course of time Christ did indeed accomplish in me and through me His Divine purpose in my life and through my life.

Now when my Beloved informs me of an impossible occurrence that will happen in my life I have confidence in His providential completion of it. The wonderful thing though, is that He never does it in a predictable manner. I believe this is so no one can claim it is just a coincidence. I always laugh and say: “ You are truly an awesome God and Your ways are so much higher than mine my Love.” with reverential love and joy.

I believe Jehovah does the impossible in strange ways to remind us of just how awesome He truly is. Joseph- Anthony: Green

Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses]. Hebrews 11:1 Holy Bible Amplified Version

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah-Rohi ( Jesus is our Divine Shepherd ) for the amazing manner in which You have led and helped this sheep of Yours to accomplish incredible things for the glory of Your kingdom and the enlargement of it through those You have blessed me with guiding them unto You. I glorify You in You magnificent name. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Which Destination do You Chose?

Christ, WILL LEAD

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10 Holy Bible New International Version.

We all have a predestination but must chose which one we will accept.

There are those who refuse to accept Christ as their Savior. To them their predestination is Hell. That is their choice.

There are the wise who accept Christ as their savior.

Now once we have accepted Christ He has predestined works for us to do. If we refuse to do these works He will punish us, if with nothing else than the refusal to bless us.

Think of a child who is informed that if they keep their room clean they will get an allowance on Friday. It has been predestined that doing their assigned work will be rewarded on a certain day.

When Christ assigns us work our predestined reward may be here and now but definitely will be in Heaven.

When driving down the road we see speed signs. If we go over the limit we get a ticket. That does not mean we cannot drive anymore.

So too it is when we refuse to obey Jehovah’s commands.

He will punish us but that does not mean we will lose our salvation.

If, however, we continue to live in disobedience unto Him, THEN, yes, you will lose your salvation be dammed to eternal Hell.

So my question to you is: which predestination have you chosen?

Prayer: Jehovah Hashanah (Jehovah our maker), thank you for the predestined path You have chosen for my life. Please help me to always stay on Your straight and narrow road. I modestly ask for this blessing in the name of He who is our great Sheppard Jesus Christ. Amen

May the sweet sunshine of Jesus’ precious love bless you today and every day.

Coincidences Happen?

when-i-pray

The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power]. James 5:16 Amplified Bible

Have you ever prayed for something and when Jehovah graciously answered your prayer instead of thanking Him you just wrote it off as a coincidence?

I used to.

Have you ever noticed that some folks prayers are answered more than others and wondered why?

Actually, for me, the shocker came when non-believers asked me to pray for them and then their prayers were answered. They kept on insisting it was because of my prayers because sometimes the almost impossible happened shortly after I began praying for them. I would argue with them that it was just a coincidence and then one day that Bible verse jumped out at me.

Now that does not mean that all my prayers have been or can be fulfilled. Sometimes the prayer involves other souls and they are too hard hearted to surrender their will unto Jehovah so He can not accomplish the prayer request (Jehovah never forces His will upon us, it is up to us to choose whether we surrender to His will or continue down the highway to Hell).

All I know is that when I pray, coincidences happen; and when I don’t pray, they don’t happen. –Dan Hayes

How many “coincidences” have happened in your life and you neglect to thank our gracious Heavenly Father for answering your prayer?

Where fools see coincidence the wise see the hand of God. Joseph- Anthony: Green

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah-Rohi – Shepherd for blessing this difficult precious lamb of Yours. I am grateful that I have placed my life completely in Your wise hands so You can guide me through many strange and wonderful “coincidences”.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
