If They Did Not Repent.

 The Lord gave this message to Jonah son of Amittai:  “Get up and go to the great city of Nineveh. Announce my judgment against it because I have seen how wicked its people are.” Jonah 1: 1-2 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

Nineveh was not an unknown city to Jonah. They were arch enemies of both the Israelite’s and of Jehovah. The two countries deeply hated each other and were many times at war with each other. They treated each others captives very cruelly. I am sure some of Jonahs family and friends suffered at the Ninevite’s hands.

Now imagine Jehovah commanding a Jew who had family and friends suffer at the hands of the Nazi’s and Jehovah commanding him to go up and tell the Nazi’s if they do not repent they will be destroyed. That is what it was like for Jehovah to command Jonah to go to Nineveh and warn them of the coming destruction if they did not repent.

Okay, now let us make it more personal.

Imagine if Jehovah commanded you to go up and share Jesus with someone who has abused you or cheated you or made you suffer horribly in any other manner, and inform them if they did not repent of their ways they would be condemned to Hell for eternity.

Would you do it?

Although sometimes obeying Jehovahs commands may be like swallowing a turd sideways we, as His children are to be obedient unto Him. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Many times Jehovah will command us to do things which are repugnant to us but has eternal consequences for those He is sending us to.

No where do we see the Ninevite’s and Israelite’s becoming best buddies or and other change in the disposition between the two enemies. I believe there will be little change in the disposition between the two belligerents of today either .

Prayer: Please Jesus Melech Olam (Psalms 10:16 The LORD King Forever ) bless this humble servant of Your to always be obedient unto His masters calling no matter how unpleasant it is. I sincerely request this in Your majestic name. Amen

A Prayer to Speak with Love and Respect

Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But not with God. Everything is possible with God.” Mark 10:27 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

My Love please bless me with the ability to communicate with those You have placed in my care in a manner in which they will understand what I am saying.

Please bless me with the ability to understand what they are trying to communicate with me.

Please my Beloved bless me that You will guide my words this day to bring encouragement and love.

Please strengthen me to bide my tongue to not lash out with hurtful words when disputes erupt. When the fires start to flare when they are being stubborn and obstinate, please bless me to close my eyes and to call out unto You to bring peace into the conversation.

And with the wisdom to know when to walk away because of the futility in the conversation.

Bless me with the ability to come back later and speak with respectful authority to which they must succumb to.

Please bless us to be loving and respectful towards each other as You and I are loving and respectful towards each other.

I humbly request this in the name of He whose speech was always respectful and loving Jesus Christ. Amen

Prayers for Caregivers-A Prayer for Patience

 May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus. Romans 15:5 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

My Beloved, I humbly beseech You to bless me this day with abundance of patience. This days calling upon my body, mind and spirit are great.

Patience is a virtue which only You can pour out upon me as rain is pour out upon the parched land. No matter the difficult task nor the wearing of my patience by those in my care please bless me with Your Divine patience.

The load placed upon the caregivers shoulder is heavy and demanding. It can only be accomplished by Your Divine patience.

I believe You will bless me all that is required to excel at these demanding tasks this day, but especially with patience.

May I be as patient with those in my care this day as You are with me every day.

I humbly beseech You and thank You for granting my petition in the name of He who excelled in patience with His disciples Jesus Christ. Amen

To Even Equal

The world has nothing to offer to even equal much less surpass Christ. Joseph a son of Jehovah

I have worked for many that no matter how hard I worked our how great the job was when completed they could would and did always find something to complain about.

There were good employers as well but even then even though their praise and satisfaction was it always seemed as if there was something missing.

Society is a cruel slave master, I prefer Jesus as my King. He is much more loving and appreciative. Joseph a son of Jehovah

I have worked for Christ and even when it is a minor accomplishment there was a sense of accomplishment that pleased my Heavenly King. It wasn’t inflating my ego, just a well done good and faithful servant feeling. It surpassed any accolades any employer gave me.

For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. Philippians 2:13 The Holy Bible, New Living Translation

Obedience is an act of faith. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jesus Helech ‘Olam (The Lord our King Forever) Psalms 10:16 for blessing me with assigning me duties to accomplish that has eternal gratitude and well as receiving Your accolades here and now. This blesses me with meaning in my life. I exalt You in Your majestic name. Amen

I am Vindicated.

Have you ever experienced confirmation from Jehovah from a Bible Verse or from Christians councilors of a certain event that is going to occur in your life?

I have.

Everybody laughed at me and informed me it was certain failure to attempt to follow Christs lead. In all honesty when this first began I doubted myself the outcome. In due course of time Christ did indeed accomplish in me and through me His Divine purpose in my life and through my life.

Now when my Beloved informs me of an impossible occurrence that will happen in my life I have confidence in His providential completion of it. The wonderful thing though, is that He never does it in a predictable manner. I believe this is so no one can claim it is just a coincidence. I always laugh and say: “ You are truly an awesome God and Your ways are so much higher than mine my Love.” with reverential love and joy.

I believe Jehovah does the impossible in strange ways to remind us of just how awesome He truly is. Joseph- Anthony: Green

Why Ask if You Don’t Believe?

 

 

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.  But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. James 1:5-6 New King James Version

Have you ever asked Jehovah for wisdom?

For me it was going into service for Him.

I wanted to go to Central America because I did missionary work in Mexico and loved it.

Jehovah however had other ideas. He wanted me to go to China. When I first put my resume on the internet after completing a T.E.S.O.L. Course to teach English I fully expected a contract in Central America. The only offers received however were from China. One in particular stood out. I really didn’t want to go to China being afraid of what would happen to a Christian in a communist country. The feeling however was very strong and off I went having faith that this was Jesus’ answer to where He
wanted me to serve Him. I have been all over China for eight years now faithfully serving the Lord. Although it has been difficult I am exceedingly glad that huge leap of faith has been taken. Not many have come to Jesus through my sharing of the Gospel, but even one is important to Jesus.

Believing in the future takes faith. … We cannot function effectively without a belief in that which does not exist. … You believe in tomorrow; you believe in progress Erwin Raphael McManus

Prayer: Thank You Jehovah Rohi (God is our Sheppard) for guiding me to where you know I can be of the best service to You. In the name of the greatest path finder Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

Why Do They See It but You Do Not?

Before the spies lay down for the night, she went up on the roof and said to them, “I know that the Lord has given you this land and that a great fear of you has fallen on us, so that all who live in this country are melting in fear because of you. We have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to Sihon and Og, the two kings of the Amorites east of the Jordan, whom you completely destroyed.  When we heard of it, our hearts melted in fear and everyone’s courage failed because of you, for the Lord your God is God in heaven above and on the earth below. Joshua 2:8-11 New International Version

Why was it that the Gentiles saw the hand of Jehovah on the Israelites but the Israelites did not?

Has that occurred to you?

Do people see the hand of Jehovah on you, yet, because of your lack of faith you refuse to obey Jehovah and move forward to your blessings?

I can think of many times when I had a lack of faith and needed a good strong push by Jehovah to get me moving. It was through very hard times that the Lord moved me to where He desired for me to be to serve Him in the manner which He predestined form me to serve Him.

I am not saying once the call was obeyed everything was like a walk in a garden. Indeed almost all of them included a great deal of suffering and anguish. Reflecting back on those experiences though I can now see He was doing so much in me and through me that I was not even remotely aware of.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.Ephesians 2:10 New King James Version

So when Jehovah blesses you with your calling (and He will) do not sit on your hands but get moving in faith.

Prayer: Please Jehovah Saboath (Lord commander of the armies) encourage this soldier of Your to always be obedient to His commanders orders now matter how difficult or scary they are. I submissively request this in the mighty and great name of my awesome King Christ Jesus. Amen.

Tell It and Then Walk Away

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.” Matthew 7:24-27 New International Version.

The interesting thing about this story is that Jesus told a simple and easy to understand parable so everybody could understand what He was saying. At the end of it He just got up and walked away. I believe He did this to give the people time to digest what He was saying.

Now that was not the end of it though.

After His resurrection when His disciples came sharing His story the people were more receptive to accepting it.

So too it is with us

When we share the story with people of Jesus why not make it as simple as possible for them to understand the message and then just leave them alone to think about it?

Do not try to get them to accept Jesus right then and there. That is a huge mistake too many Christians make. Do not use pressure tactics. Jesus never did, why should you?

If they are receptive, the Holy Spirit will guide them to where they can learn more. Maybe it will be you, maybe someone else.

If they are not receptive to Jesus’ story they will not listen anyway and it is a waste of both your time and usually ends up with nothing but frustration on both parties’ behalf.

I have met too many people that just at the mention of Jesus’ name it is an instant turn off because of the pressure tactics that was tried on them previously.

Not only that but maybe they are not ready to accept Jesus just then.

Prayer: Please Jesus Pryyand (Jesus my friend) guide me on how to share you with others and the best time to just walk away. I sincerely ask this in Your loving name. Amen

That I May Not Cause Pain!

“That Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested. 1 Chronicles 4:10 New King James Version                                                      

Think of a loving father that guides his child in how to have mature respectful relationships. That is a good father.

 

How much more supreme is Jehovah our Heavenly Father?

When we submit to His divine wisdom He guides our thoughts away from evil and towards love and good.

 

When someone does us wrong our first instinct is revenge. This is a never ending circle of destruction of I get you back, then you get me back even worse. Each time it escalates.

 

When, instead we pray to our loving Father to take our hand and guide us in the righteous way to handle the matter not only does it prevent a lot of hardship and trouble but it also glorifies Him.

Then there is the unknown.

Perhaps someone did us wrong unintentionally but we take it personally and want revenge. An innocent individual gets hurt. As well, we as ambassadors of Christ blacken His holy name.

 

This has happened to me on a few occasions and I felt like a fool towards the one I offended and all those present. As well I was deeply ashamed towards my loving Father in Heaven. When the truth came to light I humbly approached them and deeply, sincerely apologized.

We are ambassadors for Christ unto the world. Let our words and actions be done accordingly to bring Him glory not shame. Joseph- Anthony: Green

If we pray for Jehovahs hand to guide us through the situation and are obedient unto His guidance we not only prevent unnecessary harm but bring glory unto Him. Because of this we may be the catalyst to brining lost souls into Jehovahs holy family by our actions.

When we pray for revenge Jehovah is silent. When we pray for wisdom to deal with the situation righteously He abundantly blesses us with holy wisdom. Joseph- Anthony: Green

Concentrate on Him.

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Joshua 1:8 New King James Version

Instead of concentrating on self to gain happiness which always leaves you feeling empty (you know I need a new car or house to be happy. I need to make more money. I need the latest fashion clothes to be happy {it constantly amazes me how shallow people are to buy designer clothes that are no better than no name one but twice the price} or I need a better body) concentrate on Christ.

It is always the most fulfilling experience to enjoy a beautiful love affair with Jehovah, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

 

This is accomplished with setting aside quiet time every day reading His love letter and guidance book to you (the Bible) and talking with Him.

It also involves finding a quiet place in nature to just sit and enjoy communing with Him.

 

Enjoying nature is the best place to commune with Christ.  Joseph- Anthony: Green

Jehovah made nature, man made cities. Which do you find more serine and beautiful?

 

The other way to develop a relationship with Him is to serve Him.

Request the Holy Spirit to guide you to the best place to serve Him and then depend upon His guidance to accomplish the work he has brought you to do.

Think of it as you and the Holy Spirit being a tag team. During this time you will feel as a partner and will enjoy working with the best Guidance Councilor.  When you do this you will experience joy.

 

The difference between happiness and joy is like comparing a bowl of instant soup to a smorgasbord of delicacies.  Joseph- Anthony: Green

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah ElHeenu (the Lord our God)  for the incredible honour of being a member of Your holy family. The most cherished time of my day every day is the time I spend with You. I give thanks for this treasure in the name of the best friend one could ever have Jesus Christ. Amen.
