Because He Is

And whoever gives to one of these little ones [these who are humble in rank or influence] even a cup of cold water to drink because he is my disciple, truly I say to you, he will not lose his reward.” Matthew 10:42 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

Do you notice that Christ says “because He is my disciple.”

He is not saying to give it to anyone nor everyone.

So many use this verse as a stepping stone for evangelizing to the unsaved which is wrong.

We see these scam artists using this to con folks into giving them money so they can help the poor children in say Africa. They give pennies on the dollar while pigging out on luxurious salaries for themselves.

Indeed when you give to help those people you are doing more harm than good. Because they are getting free food they have no incentive to work or practice birth control. The local farmers suffer because no one will purchase their produce which drives them into bankruptcy.

Now we are to help wisely by helping them start their own business and supporting it. By working to convince them to use birth control and supplying it to them.

As well, those that give of their time and or money, believing they are serving Christ are wrong. As Christians it is our duty to share the Gospel first.

If the people are receptive then we help, if not then move on.

It may seem cruel but why waste your time and resources on those who are not interested in their spiritual life when those who are will not have their needs met.

I have seen this numerous times in many years of missionary work. The only reason the folks come to the Bible meetings is to receive free food with no intention of coming to Christ. They walk away laughing at the naive Christians.

Prayer: Please Jehovah Rohi ( Jesus is our Divine Shepherd ) bless this little sheep of Your that You guide me where my resources will be used providentially to expand Your kingdom and to help those whom You deem worthy of assistance.

I humbly request this in the name of He who helped the truly needy Jesus Christ. Amen

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Pray for One Another’s

Pray for one another’s well-being, contentment, and protection. 1 Peter 3:9 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

Praying for others is an important part of daily prayer. When we see others in need it is part of our Christian duty (duty is an act of love) to sincerely, continuously pray for them. Do not pray for them once and then forget about it but continually pray form them. It is also good for them to know you are praying for them. As well, ask them how things are going to see how effective your prayer is because in doing so you are reminding them that your prayer is constant because you care about them.

An added benefit is when you see someone who is not a Christian having difficulty and you inform them that you are praying for them. From my experience, they are always shocked. This is a great opportunity to share Jesus with them.

Do not take prayer lightly.

When you are a Christian you have a constant hot line that is never busy to our Heavenly Father and He listens and answers the righteous man or womans prayers.

The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) can accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by God—it is dynamic and can have tremendous power]. James 5:16 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

“Prayer has a way of blowing wind into other sails in your life that you might not even be praying about.” Adam Stadtmiller

Prayer: Please El Deah (God of knowledge) bless me with Your supreme knowledge of who to include in my daily morning prayers so that they will be used to the best effect. I humbly request this in the name of He who taught His disciples to proper manner in which to seek Thy favour Jesus Christ. Amen May

Gods sunshine always bless you with brightening your day with His love, joy and peace. Joseph a son of Jehovah

What kind of a Runner are You?

Run away from youthful lusts—pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those [believers] who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2 Timothy 2:22 Holy Bible Amplified Version

What kind of a runner are you?

Do you run as fast to your Bible as you do to porno sites on line?

Would you drink from a septic tank?

Why not?

Well just as the feces in the septic tank will make your body sick, so too will porno sites pollute your mind (and before you women go pointing fingers at us men like we are pigs, there is a large majority of women that watch that filth as well).

When we are youths we are inexperienced and easy prey for the alluring lies of satan.

That is why we need mature Christians to guide us away from the destruction fantasies (once you fall for satan you will quickly find out it is no fun but many times pure living Hell, just ask any junkie).

Now notice I said mature and not older. Someone can be older in years but very immature in their walk with Christ. Their advice is useless and indeed many times very disastrous.

It is the duty of us older Christians to warn those who are young in their walk with Christ when they are fallowing the wrong path. Be patient with them as Christ is patient with you. Be firm with them as Christ is firm with you. Be respectful with them just as Christ is with you (that includes allowing them to fall into the temptation if that is their choice but to welcome them back if they repent).

Satans temptations always lead to destruction. That is why we need mature Christians to guide us away from them. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Ganan (The Lord is Our Defense) for Your Divine intercession when satan temps me with destructive lusts. Thank you for Your providence in bringing mature Christians to counsel me when I foolishly begin to stray. I praise You in the name of He who resisted satans temptations in the wilderness Jesus Christ. Amen

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love fill your heart today and every day. Joseph a son of Jehovah

All Things are Possible

But Jesus looked at them and said, “With people [as far as it depends on them] it is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

All thing are possible with Jehovah but not all things are probable.

So we will say you want money to go to school to become a veterinarian but Jehovah wants you to become a waitress. He will not grant you that for which He has not made you for.

However that does not take away the fact that He can and does accomplish the improbable in our lives.

If you had of told my mom when I was ten years old what Jehovah had planned for my life she would have laughed so hard she would have been in tears. It would not only have seemed improbable but down right impossible.

Jehovah works in His way not ours. It is our duty to have faith (trust) in Him that His ways are always what is best for us, even if we do not understand it and to obey His guidance.

“Do not let your happiness depend on something you may lose… only [upon] the Beloved who will never pass away.” — C. S. Lewis

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireh ( God provides ) for blessing me with what I need, not what I desire in my walk with You. Thank you for providing me with the necessary resources to serve You every day throughout the day so as to give glory and praise unto You and to be a light in the dark world that guides the lost unto You. I exalt You in the name of the light of the world Jesus Christ. Amen.

May Gods sunshine always bless you with brightening your day with His love, joy and peace. Joseph a son of Jehovah

You will Keep in Perfect

You will keep in perfect and constant peace the one whose mind is steadfast [that is, committed and focused on You—in both inclination and character], Because he trusts and takes refuge in You [with hope and confident expectation].Isaiah 26:3 Holy Bible, Amplified Version

There is perfection in life. It can only be found in one place and that is in the arms of Jehovah. Joseph a son of Jehovah

There have been many times when I wanted to quit the assignment Jehovah had placed upon me to do for Him. It was only when, in refuge of prayer and communion with Him, that He instilled upon me to stay focused on Him and the strength that He blesses me with that the task was completed with gusto.

As well there is a completely enveloping of my entire being with peace.

Satan will always come to discourage us but when we stay steadfast both in our duty (which is an act of love) and Jehovahs character that we will succeed. It is when we take hold of Him and trust Him that we can do the impossible.

Jehovah will not give us work to do that He will not abundantly supply the tools and guidance to excel at the task until its completion. Joseph a son of Jehovah

In reflection afterword we are filled with awe, love and respect for Him.

When we place our hearts in the hands of Jesus He signs an unbreakable treaty of peace in our hearts which no other can compare. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Shalom (The Lord blesses with Peace) for blessing me with Your cherished Divine peace, strength and focus to complete every task You lay out before me with great gusto. I exalt Thee in the name of He who completed Your assigned task all the way to the cross with strength, peace and focus Jesus Christ. Amen

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Bold Hearted Men and Women are Always Called

I may speak boldly and courageously, as I should. Ephesians 6:20 Holy  Bible Amplified Version

We are to be bold even when it seems cruel to do so. We are to call out the wicked with grace but the truth. When we inform those who walk outside of Christ but claim to be a member of His family we are to call them out for it.

So when homosexuals claim to be Christians we are to boldly inform them they are living a lie and if they truly desire to be a member of His family they are to give up choosing to live (and yes, it is their choice, they are not “made that way”) that unacceptable lifestyle.

We are to boldly speak up and say that abortion is murder we are not to back down (unless they became pregnant through rape or if their lives are in danger abortion is murder. Murder is the taking of an innocent life. What crime has an unborn child committed that is worthy of executing it?).

We are to speak up boldly and say that (in most western societies) we have the right to have a Bible study and prayer meetings in school just as much as a Muslim does that that is our right under the law.

When independent Christian schools speak up boldly and proclaim they teach Biblical principals and refuse to teach what is unchristian we are to boldly support them. We are to boldly speak up and tell the truth that the only way to Heaven is through Christ alone.

We are to be graceful and meek (keep our tempers under control)and respectful but stand upon the firm rock of Christ no matter how mean spirited it seems to the world.

Bold hearted men and women are always called mean spirited by cowards.Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Holy Spirit Chatsahi (The Lord is my Strength)for blessing me with the strength to always be bold in proclaiming Your Divine truth to a lost world. I extol Thee in the name of the Light of the World Jesus Christ. Amen

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Duty or Obligation?

But if a widow has children or grandchildren [who are adults], see to it that these first learn to show great respect to their own family [as their religious duty and natural obligation], and to compensate their parents or grandparents [for their upbringing]; for this is acceptable and pleasing in the sight of God. 1 Timothy 5:4 Holy Bible Amplified Version

I am a live in caregiver for my elderly mother.

Every month she extravagantly gives money to her elder son and grand daughter, even though they do not life a finger to help with the yard work, house work or care of mom.

I do all the work with no help but she gives miserly to me.

One day we had a big fight where I told her to tell them to get their lazy butts down here and help out. I was fed up and ready to leave. I prayed in my tent (the only place where I can get peace) for guidance on where to go.

The Lord gave a one word reply: STAY.

I decided  to stay but that I was going to go on strike until there was a change around here and that mom starts paying me for my work so that I can build a nest egg for when she passes on I will not be left empty handed.

Jehovah asked me a three word question: Duty or obligation?

Duty is an act of love while obligation is an exchange of goods. I chose duty unto my Jehovah and my mother. Jehovah questioned me if I trusted Him to always provide for me or if I chose to trust in a bank account?

Obviously I chose Him.

In the course of the next three days He kept on reassuring me through Bible verses and daily Christian devotionals sent to my email that not only will He always provide for me but that I shall be abundantly rewarded for my service unto Him.

Now I could care less about the inequality in the blood family because I know that my Heavenly family shall always stand beside me and richly reward me.

Prayer: Please Jesus Hamelech ( Jesus my Lord King ) bless me to always keep my mind and heart concentrated upon fulfilling my duty to my Heavenly King no matter how foolish it looks to the world. I know in my heart of heart that just doing so brings joy to You and that is the most important wealth in my life . I am also assured of Your Divine care for my in my service to you and that is the best investment of all. I thank You in Your awesome name. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day
