Please pray that the church on Cedar Street gets a Christ centered pastor as the one there now is retiring at then end of this month and they do not have another one. Thank you.

Who Better is There Than

The Lord is a friend to those who fear him. He teaches them his covenant. My eyes are always on the Lord, for he rescues me from the traps of my enemies. Psalm 25:14-15 Holy Bible, New Living Translation.

A covenant is an agreement between two people (in this case between Jehovah and us). It is an unbroken promise.

Jehovah teaches us to be the closest of best friends with Him.

Close friends share the good times and the bad times together. Jehovah is there to enjoy the good times with us and to encourage us through the hard times.

Close friends confidently confide with each other their deepest secrets. We can confidently confide in Jehovah and He never blabs it all over town. He loves to confide in us.

Close friends watch out for each other. Now it is impossible for us to watch out for Jehovah but we can watch out for His other children around us. He is always watching out for us. He never sleeps nor is too busy or on vacation and unavailable.

Close friends are always there to help each other. We cannot help Jehovah personally but we can help out those in His community as an act of helping Him out. Jehovah is always there to help us not matter the problem.

Close friends will fight to the death to protect each other. We cannot fight to protect Jehovah but we can fight to protect His children suffering because of injustice (this need not be confined to third world countries but look around us today in industrialized countries and we see the wicked ones constantly at battle against Jehovahs children (and yes, the socialists called liberals are the worst perpetrators).

I cannot count the number of times Jehovah has laughed at the wicked ones as He led me safely away from their vile traps and they became entangled in their own traps.

Who better is there than Jehovah to be our closest of closest best friend. It is impossible to think of anyone to be His equal much less His superior. That is why Jehovah, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are my closest of closest best friends. Joseph a son of Jehovah

One Bad Night At

 And He raised us up together with Him [when we believed], and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, [because we are] in Christ Jesus Ephesians 2:6 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

Have you ever spent the night in a dive motel?

I have and boy it was a nightmare. When I was a tree planter we would sleep in tents six nights a week in the forest and come to town one night. That was our shift. When the university kids got a room all’s they did was have loud drunken parities and trash the rooms. There was no sleep that night and it seemed as if the night would never end. The next week I went to a motel that refused to accept tree planters. When it was explained to them all’s that was wanted was a quiet room for me to sleep in, they took a gamble and gave me a room. I did not let them down and enjoyed a fantastic nights sleep.

So too will it be when we are in Heaven.

The life we suffer here will seem like but a quick moment in time compared to the unimaginable love, joy and peace we will be blessed with as we continuously commune with Jesus and each other.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Immanuel (God is with us) for blessing me with the promise that when I depart this groaning earth I shall be in loving communion with You for an eternity. That magnificent experience there shall make all the worst living nightmares here on earth seem like just a bad nights dream to awaken to a wonderful world with You.  Let us approach [God] with a true and sincere heart in unqualified assurance of faith. Hebrews 10:22 Holy Bible Amplified Version

You cannot con, deceive or manipulate Jehovah so do not even try. When you have messed up fess up. Do not try to give excuses or try to shove the blame on someone else or circumstances. It does not work.

Instead, without excuses, humbly and sincerely apologize to Jehovah and ask how to reconcile what you done wrong. Then, no matter how hard, obey Him. The results are amazing.

If you want something from Jehovah do not try to bargain with Him.

How can you bargain with the Creator that has everything?

Do not foolishly try to make promises you cannot fulfill or refuse to one He has fulfilled His end of the bargain. Beware, when you do that you are trying to make a fool out of Jehovah and He will bring down severe judgment upon you and you will lose more that you gain.

Just, with a sincere heart ask of Him and accept His reply. Open your heart unto Him in all love gratefulness and respect and see how He blesses you with a deep close strong loving relationship with Him.

Prayer: Thank you Holy Spirit Rabbi (God our Teacher) for blessing me with teaching me to always have a sincere heart in all my conversations with my Beloved Father in Heaven, my loving King Jesus and You my wise Teacher. My New Name

Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it. Revelation 2:17 New International Version

When researching for a recent article I discovered our last name is in reference to the clan we are born into ( that is what your family name is).

Since becoming a Christian we belong to Jehovahs family it is only right we call ourselves of the family of Jehovah.

My parents gave me the name of Joseph. Unbeknownst to them Joseph means Jehovah will increase. Boy has He ever. He has blessed me with increasing intimacy with Him, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. He has blessed with with increased wisdom. He has increased me with service unto Him. I believe Jehovah directed them to give me that name. As such the first name shall remain.

Therefore my new name is Joseph son of Jehovah ( when we become Christians we are a child of Jehovah, this is my God given name).

And you know what? It feels natural to say : my name is Joseph son of Jehovah

But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the right [the authority, the privilege] to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name John 1:12 The Holy Bible Amplified Version What is your God given name?

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Abba (God our Father) for the supreme blessing of being a member of Your holy family and with the wonderful name You have lovingly provided me with. I thank You in the name of He who has the most beautiful name Jesus Christ. Amen.

Show You Great and Mighty Things

 ‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and tell you [and even show you] great and mighty things, [things which have been confined and hidden], which you do not know and understand and cannot distinguish.’ Jeremiah 33:3 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

The best education you can get is in the University of Jehovah. Man the courses provided there are unimaginable. One of the benefits of attending this university is that the courses are never ending. Just as you complete one another one begins. Just when you naively belief there is nothing else to learn something pops up that stuns and amazes you.

Yes there are exams but you cannot study for them. Either you have learned them or you have to repeat the course. There is no failing just that you need more tutoring to digest what is being taught.

Of course we have our mentor ( The Holy Spirit ) is on twenty four hour call. He may not answer your call all the time though. That is because He does not want you to get lazy and have Him do all your thinking for you. As you progress at this university you fall deeper and deeper in love with the faculty:

The headmaster is a kindly Father called Jehovah, the Head Teacher is a patient teacher by the name of Jesus Christ and the mentor is truly awesome the manner in which He tutors to each of us individually by the name of The Holy Spirit.

The more you are at this university the more time you desire to talk with these three incredible deans ( some call it prayer).

The admission price is accepting Jesus Christ as your savior, king and best friend. That you as such, have become His bondsman or woman ( which means you freely serve them out of love ). The invitation is open to all, rich and poor, young and old of every nationality.

Why do you not come join us?

The graduation services are held in a beautiful place that will be our eternal home, it is called Heaven.

Great and Priceless Treasure.

 Great and priceless treasure is in the house of the [consistently] righteous one [who seeks godly instruction and grows in wisdom], But trouble is in the income of the wicked one [who rejects the laws of God]. Proverbs 15:6 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

To me the greatest treasure is spiritual.

Therefore to me the greatest treasure is a loving relationship with Jehovah. This is indeed a priceless treasure, what is there that is even of equal value much less worth more?

The treasure chest consists of an endearing love that is constantly expanding. An assurance that Jehovah is always there to guide me through rough waters and to protect me from the tsunamis of troubles that is too great for me to bear. A awesome teacher that teaches me to be a child of His with integrity and teaches me how to avoid many troubles, that teaches me wisdom. A incredible relationship that blesses me with amazing spiritual strength to conquer and destroy weaknesses that attempt to destroy me.

Oh what a truly amazing treasure this is.

On the other hand there is much truth in the adage: There is no peace for the wicked. They are always fretting to the point of insomnia and paranoia about someone whom they have done wrong jumping out to get them. They toss and turn worrying about their material wealth vanishing and leaving them in the gutter. Then there is the suffering from enduring Jehovahs wrath for their evil wickedness. Their mental and physical health is slowly destroyed until they are a shell of a human being.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireh (God is our Provider) for blessing me with providing me with a incredible loving relationship with You, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Thank you for the unending riches that comes with this blessing like peace, love, joy and confidence. I extol Thee in the name of He whose blood is the key that opens up this treasure box Jesus Christ. Amen.

Better Rice and Beans than Steak.

 Better is a dinner of vegetables and herbs where love is present Than a fattened ox served with hatred. Proverbs 15:17 Holy Bible , Amplified Version

I believe a modern way of saying this is better a poor mans meal of rice and beans where there is love thank steak where there is a lot of hate, jealousy and phony friends.

I know it to be true.

I have had fancy meals where the folks sitting at the meal could not even look each other in the face they hated each other so much ( and that was with family ) . Believe me , it was no an enjoyable meal. It was surprising they could even digest their meal . I wanted to bolt for the door.

A meal shared with hate is the worse meal to ever been eaten. Joseph- Anthony: Green

I have shared a meal with extremely poor souls that were giving me a portion of their food and it was just rice and beans. I felt like royalty. The love just permeated the atmosphere and I did not want the meal to end.

We have all had the good times friends. You know the type, they are there when the times are good but when you need their help, you are a stranger to them. Indeed, many times they will step back and either tisk tisk you (it is your own fault you are experiencing the difficulties) or they are laughing at you. We have all had the backstabbing friends, they are nice to your face but gossip about you when you are not around. We have all had the friends of convenience. They are your friend as long as they can get what they want from you and when they do not need you anymore, you are a stranger to them.

We have also all had the true friends. The ones you can depend upon to always be there for you. They are the ones we can confide in. They are more valuable than gold.

Of course as all Christian know, we have the best friend we could ever ask for when we are blessed with Jesus Christ’s most awesome friendship.

The Question is, Who Listens?

 Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you to fear the Lord [with awe-inspired reverence and worship Him with obedience]. Psalm 34:11 Amplified Bible

No, that is not your conscience speaking to you, that is the Holy Spirit.

The devil is an expert at twisting the truth into a lie so if you depend upon your “conscience” you are easy prey for Him.

Then how will you know if it is the Holy Spirit or the devil?

The answer is in developing a deep personal relationship with Jehovah by reading your Bible and obeying what it says.

From my personal experience when I am reading the Bible and a verse jumps out at me, that is the Holy Spirit speaking to me. I stop reading and pray for enlightenment. Then he guide me to understanding the Bible verse in context to what He is saying about my life.

Another way is to listen to good sermon like on sermonaudio and reading good Christian books like can be found on sites like goodread and https://www.gutenberg.org (personally my preference is for the old classics). Of course we should also have godly Christian councilors.

The problem I have sadly witnessed too frequently is that even when others know Jehovah is speaking to them the deliberately chose to ignore Him because he is telling them something they do not want to hear. They want their way, not Jehovahs. That is a sure recipe for disaster. Then when catastrophes occur they go cry babying to Jehovah and ask why He is doing this to them.

God is speaking to all of us, all the time. The question is not, to whom does God talk? The question is, who listens? Neale Donald Walsch
