In Their Blind Conceit

Sin whispers to the wicked, deep within their hearts. They have no fear of God at all. In their blind conceit, they cannot see how wicked they really are.” Psalm 36:1-2 Holy Bible Amplified Version

Conceit is described in the dictionary as: an often unjustified feeling of being pleased with oneself or with one’s situation or achievements

I have met so many that are so full of themselves that it is painful to be around them for more that two minutes. They think the whole world revolves around them. They cannot say a sentence without glorifying themselves. They are the epitome of arrogance.

Of course they only live for themselves.

They lie, steal, cheat and do anything to glorify themselves and bring luxury to themselves.

This is their downfall because they are very lonely (who wants to be around a braggart?).

They are susceptible to alcohol and drug abuse. Because they drool at being with the in crowd they fall for the lies that drug and alcohol abuse is fun. Using drugs and alcohol brings short term pleasure that leads to a life time of hell. Yeah it is fun to start with but becomes addictive and you become its slave. It is a cruel master.

I have done volunteer work with addicts and the same story is repeated with every one of them. It started out as fun with their buddies but soon became addictive. In the end, it destroyed their lives. I have met many that were successful by the worlds standards (doctors, lawyers and such) that had their lives destroyed by alcohol and drugs and were homeless.

We are all one step from the gutter, that is why we need Christ to guide our steps away from it. Joseph a son of Jehovah

“Sin has a diminishing factor to it. It always gives it’s best in the beginning. It never gets better after that … it only gets worse.” — Mark Aulson

Prayer: Please Jehovah Hoshe’ah – ( The Lord Saves ) save me from the deceptive snares of addictions that destroy the body, mind and spirit. I humbly request this in the name of He who is the strongest defense against these whiles Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Cannot be Perfected Without Adversity.

I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.] John 16:33 Holy Bible Amplified Version

We all suffer through trials and tribulations, sorrows and snares.

The difference is that those of us in Jehovahs family is there to comfort us, encourage us, heal us and guide us through them.

Those of the world depend upon their own faulty understanding, power and logic and or that of so called professionals to no avail. They suffer far greater.

The closer we get to Christ, the more we are going to suffer. The more we suffer, the closer we get to Christ. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Many times when we are enduring hard times and we call out to Jehovah it seems as if there is no answer. Do not be discouraged. He loves you and will not ever desert you.

When you reflect back on it you will see Jehovah burning off the dross (the bad dispositions in you) and teaching you.

This fills me with awe and amazing joy, love and respect that I have such an amazing God, it will you as well.

Of course there is going to be a battle between you and satan.

He sees you getting close to Christ and he is infuriated. He will show no mercy in his attacks to destroy this incredible loving relationship.

Sometimes Jehovah will allow you to fight your own battles and each time you do your warrior skills against this filth will be enlarged. You will sing for joy unto Jehovah in your victory. Think of Job at the end of his suffering. This will bring you closer to our Warrior King.

Other times the battle is too strong for you and the Holy Spirit will come  to rescue  you. Again your relationship with Christ will be closer than before.

“A gem cannot be polished without friction; the child of God cannot be perfected without adversity.” — Author Unknown

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Bara (The Lord Creator) for using adversity to polish off the dross in my life so that I am a beautiful jewel in Your eyes and in Your heart. I extol Thee in the name of the most precious jewel of all Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Reliable and Trustworthy.

The law of the Lord is perfect (flawless), restoring and refreshing the soul; The statutes of the Lord are reliable and trustworthy, making wise the simple. Psalm 19:7 Holy Bible Amplified Version

In mans laws there is so many escape clauses for the wicked. Everyone is equal under Gods Law. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Sadly we see all too frequently that there seems to be one law for the rich and one law for everybody else. We see too much of liberals allowing criminals to go free in society to habitually continue there evil ways. It angers us and breaks our hearts.

In Jehovahs Law there is no escape clauses and those that break His law face His divine punishment. There is no plea bargaining nor parole.

Oh we are forgiven when we repent but must still face the punishment. It is fair and just. That restores our faith in true justice and refreshes our spirits.

Do not think that His justice will be done right away.

Sometimes it takes decades.

I have seen it in the lives of many and their pitiful existence in their own damnation. It breaks the heart to see them suffer but also faith that justice is being served.

The precepts of the Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart; The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. Psalm 19:7,8 Holy Bible Amplified Version

Obeying Jehovahs Law brings peace, love and joy to the heart. Obeying your own law only brings misery, agony and war to the heart. Joseph a son of Jehovah

We receive more enlightenment of Jehovahs Law the more we obey Him. It brings joy to our hearts because we see a loving Father that only wants what is best for us. Many times we are selfish but when we are obedient unto His laws we see the destructive lifestyle we avoid when going down that destructive path. We see that His way is the only way.

A knowledge of the Bible without a college education is more valuable than a college education without the Bible.” Professor William Lyon Phelps

Prayer: Thank you Holy Spirit Tsidkenu (The Lord is Righteousness) for blessing me with a Divine education in Your Holy School of Righteousness. Thank you with blessing me with the strength to implement Your teachings into my daily life. It has prevented much hardship and sorrow. I exalt Thee in the King of Righteousness Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

The Master of Our Passions

“Oh Lord, become the master of our passions, and the creator of our desires.” R. Marklund

Too many times today I hear elderly parents cry that their children and grandchildren have deserted them. The only time they call is when they want money. They are selfish, arrogant and ungrateful.

Who taught them that?

In Asia they are called Little Emperors and Little Empress’. Their mothers and grandmothers spoiled them rotten when they were children. Now they are lazy, arrogant, ungrateful and selfish. They have nothing to do with their parents and grandparents.

Instead of teaching their children love, respect, caring, sharing, and to be appreciative they taught them to whine until they got what they wanted. That they are so special, that happiness comes only from material things. Then they complain because their children grow up to be disrespectful, greedy, shallow, self centered materialistic brats who shun the parents and grandparents.

Most parents and grandparents spent lavishly on these brats while doing without for themselves.

Now they are poor and in need of help. Their children are cold and cold care less.

The parents and grandparents wail about their fate yet it was they themselves who created these monsters.

I was shocked when I returned to Canada from a ten year hiatus of teaching in China to see with disgust the same scenario repeatedly occurring here.

Being a care giver for my elderly mother I hear the same stories from her friends.

Doing volunteer work in a seniors home it is shocking to see and hear it from the residents the neglect of their children and grandchildren. So many of them have been thrown in there to die and never see their children or grandchildren except on Christmas. Yet, they themselves worshipped their children and grandchildren when they were young and now are abandoned by them. The only time they call is when they want money but if the parents or grandparents want any help the children and grandchildren are “too busy” to help.

Perhaps that is why Jehovah tells us to love Him above all others. It is because He loves us more than anyone could or would. He will never abuse us, leave us nor desert us.

And Jesus replied to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ Matthew 22:37  The Holy Bible Amplified Version

Idols always break the hearts of their worshippers.” C.S.Lewis

Prayer: Please my wonderful Jehovah Heseh (God is love) bless me to always have a heart that is faithful unto You and to worship only You as You are the only one worthy of praise, worship and stewardship. I humbly request this in the name of He who emulates what it is like to be Your Holy child Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Why Ask if You Don’t Believe?

FALL COLOURS ALONG COUNTRY TRAIL

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.  But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. James 1:5-6 New King James Version

Have you ever asked Jehovah for wisdom?

For me it was going into service for Him.

I wanted to go to Central America because I did missionary work in Mexico and loved it.

Jehovah however had other ideas. He wanted me to go to China. When I first put my resume on the internet after completing a T.E.S.O.L. Course to teach English I fully expected a contract in Central America. The only offers received however were from China. One in particular stood out. I really didn’t want to go to China being afraid of what would happen to a Christian in a communist country. The feeling however was very strong and off I went having faith that this was Jesus’ answer to where He
wanted me to serve Him. I have been all over China for eight years now faithfully serving the Lord. Although it has been difficult I am exceedingly glad that huge leap of faith has been taken. Not many have come to Jesus through my sharing of the Gospel, but even one is important to Jesus.

Believing in the future takes faith. … We cannot function effectively without a belief in that which does not exist. … You believe in tomorrow; you believe in progress Erwin Raphael McManus

Prayer: Thank You Jehovah Rohi (God is our Sheppard) for guiding me to where you know I can be of the best service to You. In the name of the greatest path finder Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

May the sweet sunshine of Jesus’ love bless you today and every day.

You Healed Me.

LOOKING TO HEAVEN

O Lord my God, I cried out to You, And You healed me. Psalm 30:2 New King James Version

It was in my hard times that Jehovah accomplished His greatest work in my life. Joseph- Anthony: Green

At one time there were undesirable traits in me that Jehovah needed to expel from my being before He could use me. They were the most agonizing and difficult times in my life yet I praise Him for them. That may sound crazy but it is true.

Take spitefulness for example. If you crossed me I could be the most evil and cruel soul you have ever encountered. Folks would literally get on their knees and beg me to stop. These needed to be burned away from me before Jehovah could use me which He did. He arranged for some agitators to continuously torment me. I wanted revenge but He told me to stand there and take it. It was more than I could handle so I cried out to Him to bless me with the strength to with stand these attacks which He abundantly did. Through these awful times He taught me to depend upon Him for strength.

The flip side of the coin was when Jehovah extracted His vengeance upon my tormentors which He arranged for me to witness. When His justice was preformed in my site a small quiet voice said to me:” Seek not revenge but leave vengeance in the hands of the Lord for He knows how to perform true justice.” When I saw the Lords vengeance I was terrified of it. Through this process I learned to depend upon Jehovah for strength and for His divine justice to be executed (yes it is okay for Christians to call upon the Lord for justice to be done unto those who have wronged us).

This is but one example of how He burned off the dross of stubbornness, independence, and spitefulness in my life. Burning off the dross is what they do to metal to make it pure. It is put through a furnace and the useless stuff is melted away to leave a pure metal.

“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.” Leo Tolstoy

Jehovah puts us all through the furnace of afflictions to burn off our undesirable qualities to make us pure in His eyes. That does not mean we are perfect. It means our hearts bodies and minds belong to Him and Him alone. Through this process He healed me of a lot deep hurt and anger that was in my life.

It is during our darkest moments that we must focus to see the light. Anonymous

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah-M’Kaddesh (The Lord is my Sanctifier) for blessing me with crucifying anything that was worshiped above You in my life and for the blessing of burning off of the dross of all things that impeded my growth into the holy child You have intended for me to be. I exalt You in the name of Your most holy son Jesus Christ. Amen.

May you be blessed in abundance with Jehovahs Devine love, peace and joy today and every day.

That I May Not Cause Pain!

Christ, WILL LEAD

“That Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested. 1 Chronicles 4:10 New King James Version

Think of a loving father that guides his child in how to have mature respectful relationships. That is a good father.

How much more supreme is Jehovah our Heavenly Father?

When we submit to His divine wisdom He guides our thoughts away from evil and towards love and good.

When someone does us wrong our first instinct is revenge. This is a never ending circle of destruction of I get you back, then you get me back even worse. Each time it escalates.

When, instead we pray to our loving Father to take our hand and guide us in the righteous way to handle the matter not only does it prevent a lot of hardship and trouble but it also glorifies Him.

Then there is the unknown.

Perhaps someone did us wrong unintentionally but we take it personally and want revenge. An innocent individual gets hurt. As well, we as ambassadors of Christ blacken His holy name.

This has happened to me on a few occasions and I felt like a fool towards the one I offended and all those present. As well I was deeply ashamed towards my loving Father in Heaven. When the truth came to light I humbly approached them and deeply, sincerely apologized.

We are ambassadors for Christ unto the world. Let our words and actions be done accordingly to bring Him glory not shame. Joseph- Anthony: Green

If we pray for Jehovahs hand to guide us through the situation and are obedient unto His guidance we not only prevent unnecessary harm but bring glory unto Him. Because of this we may be the catalyst to brining lost souls into Jehovahs holy family by our actions.

When we pray for revenge Jehovah is silent. When we pray for wisdom to deal with the situation righteously He abundantly blesses us with holy wisdom. Joseph- Anthony: Green

Prayer: Please Jehovah-‘Immeku (The Lord Is With You) daily take my hand and guide me words and actions that they bring praise and glory unto You and bring the little lost sheep unto You. I humbly request this in the name of he who led His disciples into becoming wise, meek, humble and gracious unto all Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

Cure for Foot in Mouth Disease.

WORSHIP CONSCIENCE

Whoever guards his mouth and tongue. Keeps his soul from troubles.Proverbs 21:23 New King James Version

We have all done it haven’t we?

Put our foots in our mouths.

That is where we speak thinking we have insight only to be shamed by another when we are proven wrong.

The best way to cure foot in mouth disease is to watch your mouth. Personally many times someone has tried to argue with me and it looks like they have won. Later upon reflecting on what was said I believe the Holy Spirit guides me into knowledge on the subject and the next day I challenge the agitator and they are shamed. I do not intend to shame them but to correct erroneous thought.

The heart of the righteous studies how to answer, But the mouth of the wicked pours forth evil. Proverbs 15:28 New King James Version

At the same time there are many wolves out there that like nothing more than to be agitators and laugh at watching someone go off. They try to get under your skin to cause a fight. On the internet they are known as trolls. They troll like a fisherman.

Many times a fish will bite the lure just because the fisherman keeps on casting in their face.

Trolls do the same thing. They troll for the weak to pick fights with.

I just ask them if they have personal problems and if they would like me to offer information on how to deal with their issues. As well I let them know I am praying for them. They quickly leave me alone.

Before you speak ask yourself these questions: Is it necessary? If not then shut up.

Is this the right place?

I prefer to speak with someone one on one instead of in a crowd. If they are in a crowd their pride can be hurt which will back them into a wall and they become defensive.

Is it the right time?

If it is at work and it is personal choose a quiet place like a café to talk with them instead of causing an incident at work.

Is it being said in love?

Remember Christ is love, satan is war. If you are looking to pick a fight guess which one you are serving?    Joseph- Anthony: Green

Am I qualified to talk about the subject?

I have met many who thought they were Mr. Know It Alls only to be made to look foolish because they did not know anything about the subject (myself included on occasion).

Prayer: Please KalEl (voice of God) bless me with the wisdom to know when to speak and how to speak to help others and there by bring glory to Your Holy name as I am a representative of You. I humbly request this in the name of the most eloquent speaker of all Jesus Christ. Amen

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

H.O.M.E.

I am looking forward to being here.

What do you look forward to experiencing when you go home? What do you think Heaven will be like? I look forward to going home.

H=Home is Heaven. It is where we will be with our beloved family and friends and with our most beloved, Jesus, forever. There we will meet new friends and everybody will share joyous meals together. It will not matter your race, if you are tall or short, fat or skinny, boy or girl. There will be no rich or poor there. We will all be in joyful harmony together. No family fights there.

O= Overjoyed to be where we will face no more sorrow or pain. We shall be constantly over filled with joy every moment for eternity. There will be joy being with Jesus. There will be joy being with old and new friends. There will be joy in a truly fulfilling career Jesus has planned just for us.

M=Meditation, where we can truly sit at the feet of Jesus and share in His marvelous wisdom. It will be a never ending education where we will run to class in eager anticipation of drinking in the wisdom of the greatest teacher. Imagine sitting at the feet of Noah and Moses sharing incredible stories with us. There will be no tests we will be graded on because what we eagerly learn will become a part of us.

E=Employment, this where we will all be employed with a specific career that will be fulfilling and we will look forward to going to forever more. No getting laid off there. No retirement there. Everyone will have a special job suited just for you waiting for you.

Oh how I look forward to going home.

How about you?

However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”—the things God has prepared for those who love him. 1 Corinthians 2:9 New International Version

This is what I believe our home will be like. I can’t even imagine what our mansion Jesus has prepared for us looks like. Just think no mortgage or foreclosure there. No burglars or fires or storms to destroy that home. We will always be safe and secure there.

I have not even got into all the fun we will have playing with all the animals there.

Although we look forward to going to Heaven to be with Jesus when we die, we should work hard to bring as many with us as we can. Joseph- Anthony: Green

Prayer: Oh sweet Jesus Pryyand (Jesus our best friend) I do ever so much look forward to that special time spent with You and the rest of Your holy family in Heaven.

I long to sit at your feet and listen to Your delicious words of wisdom.

I can’t wait to see what wonderful career You have planned for me in this fantastic kingdom to serve You.

What a privilege it will be to share a meal with all the saints of Your incredible family.

I wait in eager anticipation in the name of our great, mighty and loving king Jesus Christ. Amen.

May you be blessed with Gods divine love, peace and joy.
