With Grace and Tact

Starting a quarrel is like opening a floodgate, so stop before a dispute breaks out. Proverbs 17:14 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

Have you ever watched water gush over a dam?

Imagine standing under its power. It would be extremely stupid and devastating.

In every relationship there are sore points and unresolved issues. When these sore points are brought up it is opening the flood gates of hurt and pain.

Instead of bringing them up whenever you cannot get your own way the most important thing to do is pray for resolution, preferably with a Christian councillor.

Most times the guilty party refuses to go into counselling, most times it is because of pride. One they do not want to admit they were wrong and two they do not want to take responsibility for their actions and three the injured soul does not want to let go of the hurt, they use it like a crutch and they use it to manipulate.

When the other party begins to go on this stupid wheel of destruction, it does cause deep cuts with the words that are said in the heated battle, just inform them that if they wish to continue the discussion we will do so in a Christian councillors office. If you refuse to do so it is an admission of guilt on your behalf. When you are mature enough and ready for reconciliation let me know and we will go to the Christian councillors office. Other wise this discussion is over. Then just walk away.

If someone refuses to go into mediation with you, walk away. They are not interested in resolution but rather in their favorite hobby, fighting. Joseph a son of Jehovah

It works wonders for me.

Prayer: Please Elohim Ozer Li (Psalms 54:4 GOD My Helper ) please help me to be a wise child of Yours and know how to resolve conflicts with wisdom and grace. When these conflicts involve the spawn of the devil who delight in fighting, manipulation and domineering rather than seeking resolution please bless me with the wise but firm words to inform them I am not playing their perverted little games and until they are ready to behave in a mature manner there is nothing more to be said. I humbly request this in the name of He who quieted the hypocrite Pharisee’s with grace and tact Jesus Christ. Amen

May you be blessed with the wisdom to know when to sit down and work things out and when it is time to walk away. Joseph a son of Jehovah

The Angels will Throw Them

And the angels will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Matthew 13:42 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

There was an horrible abusive woman that abused and tormented her good son who was her live in care giver to her in her elder years. The son asked his beloved Father in Heaven if the the mother would ever reconcile and apologize to him. The above Bible verse came to him

Gnashing of teeth means clenched teeth screaming at the Lord: “ This is not my fault. Why are you doing this to me. Even in Hell, the wicked will never accept responsibility for their wickedness.

“Maturity is not based on age, but on the willingness to accept responsibility.”Dr. Edwin Louis Cole

Prayer: Thank you El Nekamoth (Psalms 18:47 GOD that Avengeth ) that there is comfort in knowing the wicked tormentor are going to receive true justice at Your strong hands. I praise You in the name of the Supreme Judge, Jesus Christ. Amen

May you find comfort in knowing those that abuse you shall receive Divine punishment for their vile wicked deeds. Joseph a son of Jehovah

A Prayer for Trust

And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. 2 Corinthians 9:8 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

Oh my caring God please bless me with ample patience to deal with an obstinate one in my care.

Please bless me with abundant wisdom to know how to provide the proper care while not allowing for manipulation, conniving nor deceiving to enslave me. To know when it is best to walk away from the tormentor to maintain my sanity.

Please bless me with a sanctuary away from the abusive one so we can commune together in peace.

Please bless me with plentiful strength to endure the constant nit picking and complaining that is just being used to get attention.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Wishing you a house full of sunshine, hearts full of cheer and love that grows deeper each day of the year. Welsh blessing

For All Live in Family Care Givers

CHRISTS STRENGTH

Speaking not only from my own experience but from listening to those  who are caring for their elder parents they receive nothing but continuous slaps in the face for their loving care. Then when many of the adult children are mentally and physically exhausted and put the parents into a seniors home the parents cry baby and try to blame the children all the while refusing to take responsibility for their own actions. Add to that that the care givers seldom receive any help from their siblings who are usually leeches. The only time they call the parent is when they want money from them.

It seems to me that the most ungrateful folks are the ones that need the help the most yet abuse those who are helping them. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Although this may seem like a curse it is in reality a blessing.

Because, it is in our hard times that we grow the closest to Jehovah and develop the deepest of love, respect and appreciation for Him. Here are some words of encouragement and strength from our loving, caring Father when we feel beaten down by the ungrateful abusive behaviour of those we are helping.

Whatever you do [whatever your task may be], work from the soul [that is, put in your very best effort], as [something done] for the Lord and not for men. Colossians 3:23 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

Let us not grow weary or become discouraged in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap, if we do not give in. Galatians 6:9 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

“God never made a promise that was too good to be true.” — Dwight L. Moody

Therefore, those who are ill-treated and suffer in accordance with the will of God must [continue to] do right and commit their souls [for safe-keeping] to the faithful Creator. 1 Peter 4:19 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

“Where God’s finger points, there God’s hand will make a way.”

Prayer: Oh Jehovah ‘Immeku (The Lord Is With You) I cannot praise You enough for Your wonderful love, strength, provision, comfort, healing, wisdom and encouragement to continue on being obedient unto Your command; If a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God. 1 Timothy 5:4 Holy Bible, New International Version. Please comfort those who, because of the selfishness, brutish behaviour and contempt of their aged parents or grand parents towards the care givers they cannot endure the contemptuous behaviour any more and have to put them in a seniors home. Do not allow the wicked parents or grand parents to put a guilt trip on the adult children. It is their own fault they are where they are. I exalt You and humbly beseech You in the name of He who is loving and the Supreme Judge Jesus Christ. Amen

May Christ bless you with love, joy and peace today and every day.

God is in Your Midst

GOD IS WITH US

This past week mom (I am a unpaid live in care giver for my mom. If I am not here she will be put into a seniors home) has been constantly taunting me that this is HER house and she does not need me. She can throw me out at her slightest whim.   I know my Lord desires me to remain here but it really gets me down.

These verses and quotes stuck out to me this morning while reading morning devotionals.

For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11    The Holy Bible Amplified Version

“I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!”  Hebrews 13:5 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

I don’t know what  tomorrow brings;  But I know who knows, and I know He holds my hand who holds tomorrow in His other hand. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Is anything too difficult or too wonderful for the Lord? Genesis 18:14  The Holy Bible Amplified Version

“What seems too difficult for us is a sure sign that it belongs to God.” — Marie DePree

“The Lord your God is in your midst, A Warrior who saves. He will rejoice over you with joy; He will be quiet in His love [making no mention of your past sins], He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy. Zephaniah 3:17 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

About an hour afterwards as laying in bed my heart started tingling like a mild electric current was stimulating it.  Then there was a tingling in my mouth (no not like the current was running from my heart to my mouth but each was separate). I could not stop singing Glllllory, gloorrry , glorrry in excelsis.

Next my right finger after the thumb tingled and was outstretched towards Heaven. This continued for an hour.

 Wow, what an experience.

Do you think my Heavenly Love was trying to tell me something?

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah ‘Immeku (The Lord Is With You) for blessing me with your reassurance that no matter what comes my way whether good or bad You are always right here with me. You are indeed all I need in life and You are my life. I exalt You in the name of my best friend who continuously walks beside me Jesus Christ. Amen May

Christ bless you with love, joy and peace today and every day.

They are going to Have a Feast.

The eye that mocks a father And scorns a mother, The ravens of the valley will pick it out, And the young vultures will devour it. Proverbs 30:17 Holy Bible Amplified Version

From what I have seen being a live in care giver for my mom and a volunteer at a seniors home I would say they are going to have a feast.

So many of all ages gleefully throw their elderly or handicapped parents into a hell hole called a seniors home. I know most are very good at the level of care they provide but the living environment leaves much to be desired. I have seen many only come to visit when they want money and then treat their mother scornfully (to scorn means open dislike and disrespect or derision often mixed with indignation. To treat them with derision means the use of ridicule to show contempt and contempt means a strong dislike. I have seen many children and grandchildren treat their mothers like they had the plague. And, indignation means to be angry. The children and grandchildren are angry because their mother is still alive because they want her money in their inheritance. To mock means to to treat with contempt or ridicule. I have seen many make fun of their fathers infirmity in their elder years.

I have seen children blackmail their parents “If you want me to come and help you, you have to pay me.” If you want me to bring the grandchildren over you have to give me money.” This is all disgusting in the eyes of the Lord and they shall pay severely.

Now granted many parents were abusive to their children but we are to forgive them, that does not mean we are not to hold them accountable. If they refuse to repent, which means admit what they did, admit it was wrong, apologize and stop doing it, then we are to have nothing to do with them. If reconciliation is not important to them then it should not be important to us.

However to abuse them when they are in need is just as wrong in Jehovahs eyes.

That does not mean ravens will actually pluck out their eyes but that they will pay for their abhorrent behavior.

Prayer: Please Jehovah Abba (God our Father) just as you lovingly care for me instill in my heart a desire and will to be respectful, loving and caring to my parent so as to bring glory to You. I humbly request this in the name of Your most loving, respectful son Jesus Christ. Amen

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

In Old Age.

HE HAS THE WORK PREPARED

[Growing in grace] they will still thrive and bear fruit and prosper in old age . Psalm 92:14 Holy Bible, Amplified Bible

Just because you are old does not diminish your usefulness in service unto Jehovah.

There are many organizations like Habitat for Humanity that would gladly appreciate your skills. Even if you have no experience they still need helping hands. I worked with them for the first time recently and the old fellas taught me a great deal and the fellowship was great.

Perhaps you have been a housewife, well I am sure there are community programs where they need you to teach cooking (the old home made meals are still the best).

If you have a vehicle there are many elderly folks that need a ride for doctors appointments and to take the shopping. There are hiking trails that need volunteers for maintenance of the trails.

There are literacy programs that need volunteers to teach others to read.

You can go and help out at seniors homes, being a volunteer there believe me I see a lot of lonely folks that would love to have someone come in for a visit.

The whole time you can share with others your walk with Christ. Personal testimony is still the best evangelical tool available.

Carpe diem (Seize the day)

Plant your seed of kindness and love today so that you will be blessed with an abundant harvest tomorrow. Joseph- Anthony: Green

Not only will you be helping your community but ,by Gods grace, you will be guiding others into Jehovahs beautiful family.

There are so many lost, confused and lonely out there that need your help. Another blessing is that what goes around, comes around. When the time comes when you need help ( and we all do occasionally) you will have a support network there to help you as you have helped others.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Immanuel (God is with us) for walking with me through out my life and teaching me so many amazing things. Thank you for walking with me through my many trials and tribulations, sorrows and snares. Please bless me with opportunities to pass this Divine wisdom on to others who need guidance and support. I praise You and humbly request this in the name of He who is my constant support and guide through life, Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

Only if You Let It.

flowers caressing blazing red cross

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusteth in thee. Holy Bible , American Standard Version

I am a caregiver for my elderly mother. She is extremely stubborn and independent. Because of health reasons she has lost a lot of her independence. This causes a lot of friction between us. Many times I feel like I am going to explode and I have to get away from her. The only thing to calm me down is a cigarette. As well she is stubborn and refuses to listen to listen to anyone. She is right and the whole world is wrong (even though she does not know what she is talking about). Then when things go south she always blames everyone but herself. I go almost a month without smoking and then she gets into one of her moods and look out. Then I need a cigarette and we do not talk with each other for a few days. This has been going on for three years. Each time I prayed for wisdom on how to handle her and then read an article on how a man was stressed out and was told that the reason for his stress was because only if you let it stress you out it will. Now that sounds reasonable but then how do you handle the situation? Later while reading the Bible this verse suck out to me: Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusteth in thee. Holy Bible , American Standard Version

It makes perfect sense.

When stress comes I remove myself from the situation and allow it to drive me to my knees where I belong in prayer. And Jehovah answers my prayer with peace and strength.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah-Machsi – Lord my Refuge for blessing me with the privilege of entering into Your holy sanctuary where You bless me with peace, healing, comfort and fortitude to carry on in my duties (duty is an act of love) to You and my mother. I praise You in the name of the Prince of Peace Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

Cleavet: It has taken a year and a half but mom has finally settled down and there is a lot less problems now. She has even begun going back to church regularly for the first time in forty years. I have almost kicked the nicotine habit and know by Gods grace one day it shall be permanently conquered.

Cleavet After a year and a half mom has now settled down and our relationship has improved tremendously. She has even begun to go to church again for the first time in about forty years. The lord has taught me how to deal with stress. Mom has not smoked in about a year and I rarely smoke now (I am confident one day my Lord will permanently smash this chain of addiction)

That is a Curse

CHILDS DEEDS

He has cursed his father or his mother. His blood shall be upon him. Leviticus 20: 9 New King James Version

To curse your mother and or father does not necessarily mean to swear at them. It also includes your behaviour and attitude.

Many times in todays society we see young people go deeply in dept unnecessarily to satisfy their greed (which of course they never can or will). They expect their parents to give up their retirement savings or to mortgage their house to pay for their selfish desires. They have no concern how much their parents are suffering because of thier selfishness.

That is a curse unto Jehovah.

Many times seniors can no longer live alone in their house because of health reasons. Instead of helping them the children shove them into seniors homes and forget about them (unless they want money). That is selfish, cruel and disrespectful. Now sometimes the parents are difficult or they have health problems which makes it expedient to place them in a seniors home.

That is a curse unto Jehovah.

Many times the children use the grandchildren to blackmail the grandparents. So if you do not give me money we will not let you see the grandchildren any more. That is cruel selfish and disrespectful.

That is a curse unto Jehovah.

Many young people are too lazy to get a job (not all of you but a great many do) and expect to freeload off of their parents. Eventually you will have to grow up and stand on your own two feet and the longer you leech off of your parents the harder it will be for you.

I know some people who never left home and when their parents died they were in their forties. The good life was over and they were completely unprepared for it. With in a year they were homeless because they did nt know how to care for themselves.

That is a curse unto Jehovah.

For these things you will be held accountable for and the judgment will be severe.

Love is an action not an emotion. Do not tell me you love me, show me you love me. Joseph- Anthony: Green

What you do to your parents today, your children will do to you tomorrow. Joseph- Anthony: Green

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Abba (God our Father) for the opportunity to exhibit my love and honour towards both You and my mother by being her care giver in her twilight years. I thank you in the name of He who showed His divine love for His mother even on the cross Jesus Christ. Amen

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
