What They Gave to Him, They Give to You.

Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. John 15:20 New International Version

Two words that are oxy morons: Christian and non-suffering.

Many people today have the false belief that when they give their lives to Christ it will be a cake walk and a bed of roses.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

When you commit your live to Christ you can expect to be persecuted.

Many times the worst persecution will come from your family. They will see the change in you and not like it. They will fight you to walk away from Christ. Most times this will mean you must walk away from family. It will be painful.

The same goes for friends. They will be confused as to why you have changes and will viciously mock you because of the change in your life. It will not be pleasant.

You can expect to be treated like a geek at school and work. You can expect people to go out of their way to make your life miserable.

But take heart. We have a savior who has walked that path before you so will comfort you and encourage you.

For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. 2 Corinthians 1:5 New International Version

I know, I have been there. I have had to walk away from family and friends and it was very painful.

I have been in jobs where I felt like I was the only person in the world because no one would talk with me because I was not dishonest. When that happens in a bush camp it can be very lonely.

In my agony I cried out to Jehovah and He sent the Holy Spirit who comforted, strengthened and encouraged me.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Yahweh (God of His people) for comforting and encouraging me during my times of persecution for our relationship. I consider it an honor to suffer for Your awesome name. I give thanks in the name of He who suffered all the way to the cross for me Jesus Christ. Amen

May the sweet sunshine of Jesus’ precious love bless you today and every day.

Following After Their

First of all, know [without any doubt] that mockers will come in the last days with their mocking, following after their own human desires. 2 Peter 3:3 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

It is becoming more and more prevalent every day (especially in the west) that folks will worship anything and anyone rather than Christ. We see it with sports teams, musicians, movie stars. We see it with so called new age. We see it with the homosexual community.

At the same time we see it becoming more and more severe how these same creatures viciously mock true Christians. We see how they vilify us with every opportunity.

Instead of feeling pressured or picked on consider it pure joy when anyone mocks you for being a Christian. That is a badge of honour. It also means time is running short and soon we will be with our Beloved in Heaven.

When the wicked mock and persecute the righteous you know you must walking the right path. Joseph a son of Jehovah

“Blessed [comforted by inner peace and God’s love] are those who are persecuted for doing that which is morally right, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven [both now and forever]. Matthew 5:10 The Holy Bible Amplified Version
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah ‘Uzam (The Lord is our Strength in Trouble) for blessing me with Your all powerful strength to endure hardships for being a loved child of Your. I praise You in the name of He who was persecuted all the way to the cross for walking in harmony with You Jesus Christ. Amen

May your house be filled with joy in the morning and sweet dreams at night. May it be a home where love has come to live. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Who has Borne the Scars

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to follow Me [as My disciple], he must deny himself [set aside selfish interests], and take up his cross [expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come] and follow Me [believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me]. Matthew 16:24 Holy Bible Amplified Version

When I was in Asia, met Asian Christians and informed them I was a Christian the first question they asked was how much have I suffered for Christ. They call most Christians in the west marshmallows because they have the feel good Christ not the real one. When it comes time to suffer for Christ they either walk, or run away saying: “That is not what I signed up for!” Upon coming home to Canada it was shocking to see just how true this was.

Ask any so called Christian how much they have suffered for Christ and see how many answer in the affirmative and how many of them look at you like you are insane.

Oh we all suffer from time to time, welcome to life, but how many are willing to suffer intentionally for Christ?

We may not receive physical lashes but we will receive brutal verbal ones which slash much deeper ( especially when it comes from family and former friends).

Oh we may not be in a physical prison but we may be in a one in social groups where no one will talk with you at work or school ( believe me it makes for a long day and many times you feel as if you are the only person in the world).

We may not receive physical blows but we will receive verbal ones as we are viciously laughed at, mocked, tormented and made the butt of jokes at work, at school, in church or any other social setting. These hurt much more than physical ones.

Can you think of any other manner in which we will suffer for Christ or that you have suffered for Christ?

To see a true Christian is to see one who has borne the scars for Christ. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jesus ‘Immeku (The Lord Is With You) for the privilege of suffering for You like You suffered for me. I know that this suffering brings us closer together and blesses me with appreciating You more and more because You walk through the suffering with me. I praise You in Your strong name. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.
