For Our Loved Ones

Everyone tried to touch him, because healing power went out from him, and he healed everyone. Luke 6:19 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

Prayer: Jehovah Rapha (God my healer Jeremiah 33:6 ) You are my healer

The greatest reflection of Your healing love was Jesus coming down from Heaven, not only to be present among us, but sacrifice His life for us on the cross.

Through His gift of grace, I am able to be healed beyond what is possible on this earth.

Sometimes, in the depths of the most agonizing emotional, physical or spiritual agony, You bless me with The Holy Spirit to softly, gently touch me and make me whole again.

I pray for healing in the depths of those I know who are suffering.

May I use this experience to share Your wonderful healing love with others.

I pray for healing from ailments and sickness that I can see and feel now, and from the sin that is hidden in me which infect my spirit. You know all, see all, and care for all in Your perfect love, You heal all.

I humbly praise you and request this in the name of the greatest Healer, Jesus Christ. Amen

All that Jesus Continues to Do

“All that Jesus began to do and teach” He continues to do and teach today.

In Acts 1:1 the words “all that Jesus began to do and teach” are in the linear action. It is action still going on. The verb “began” is present infinitive, linear action. It is as if to say that Jesus is still carrying on from heaven the work and teachings which He started while on earth before His ascension.

Luke does not say “all that Jesus did and taught,” but “all that Jesus began to do and to teach.” The Gospel of Luke tells us what Jesus began to do and teach, while Acts of the Apostles tells what He continues to do and teach by His Spirit through His special Body.

In Volume 1 of the Life and Acts of Jesus Christ, Dr. Luke tells the story of the beginnings of what Jesus began to do and teach. In his Gospel, Luke gave “the first account I composed, Theophilis, about all that Jesus began to do and teach.” What was it Jesus began to do and teach?

In Luke 4:16-21 Jesus stood in the synagogue at Nazareth and read Himself into His divine office. “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed, to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.” Then Jesus closed the scroll, gave it back to the attendant, sat down, and with the eyes of all the synagogue fixed upon Him said to them, “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing” (vv. 20-21).

Those verses tell us what Jesus began to do leading up to His atoning death for our sins on the cross. What Jesus taught is summarized beautifully in Luke 24:25-27 as He reminded the two disciples on the road to Emmaus. “‘Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and to enter into His glory?’ Then beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.”

In the opening words of his second volume, Acts of the Apostles, Luke tell us what Jesus is still carrying on from heaven. He is still working and teaching, doing the same thing He started while on earth before His ascension. In volume two Luke tells us all that Jesus continues to do and teach after His ascension through His present spiritual Body here on the earth (2 Cor. 5:14-151821).

What does Jesus continue both to do and teach through His present body on the earth?

Every born again believer is a member of the special Body with specific spiritual gifts that are needed by His Body. God places every member in a local church to accomplish His redemptive purposes through that church. He saved you by grace and put you in a local Bible believing church to accomplish His will on this earth (Eph. 1:22-234:11-131 Cor. 12:12ff27Rom. 12:56).

You were given at least one spiritual gift for a purpose when God saved you. If you are not exercising your gift not only do you fail to fulfill your mission, but also the Body of Christ does not function to its fullest potential.

The Body of Christ has authority to continue to do and see to completion all that Jesus began to do and teach (Matt. 28:18-20Acts 1:8). The risen Lord is the head of the church. He is continuing to do in and through you and me all that He began to do and teach. He has given us all the authority and power we need to accomplish His will. We are a specially equipped Body with power and authority to continue to do what Jesus began to do and teach. Will you say to Him, “Lord, whatever You direct me to do in relation to your Body, I will do. I am your servant for your purposes.”

When God gives you a divine assignment to accomplish His will, and purpose, you must depend upon Him alone to accomplish it. Why? Because it is His work, not yours. Since it is a God-sized task you must depend on God alone. Who is continuing to work? Christ does no ask you to do His work in your abilities, gifts, likes and dislikes. We must be totally available to Him and depend upon Him to do His work.

What chapter are you writing in Volume 2022 of the Life and Acts of Jesus Christ? Where is God at work in your life? What is He doing and teaching through you to accomplish His eternal purposes? Selah!

Jesus Christ Gives Abundant Life

Abundant Life!

Abundant life as Jesus described it is the life of God Himself.

God places the new spiritual life within the individual the moment he responds to God’s grace and believes on Christ as his personal Savior.

That is the beginning of a new life for one who was spiritually dead in trespasses and sins.

Jesus said, “I am come that you may have life, and keep on having it in abundance” (John 10:10b). The abundant life is a growing thing. It is the increasingly abundant present life of the believer that is emphasized.

God plants His life in the person who hears the Word of God and believes. The born again believer increasingly enters into the experience of the new spiritual life by believing and yielding to Christ. It is like a spring of water that perpetually springs up in an abundant flow from resources deep within. The Christian is to live in an abundant way of life now.

Are you living in God’s abundance? You can be a Christian and miss the abundant life. God invites you to enter into it increasingly as you trust in Jesus to change your life daily.

This overflowing life is Christ living His life out in you as you make yourself available to Him and trust Him to new areas of spiritual growth.

As the believer yields to the Holy Spirit he realizes that God’s grace and power is sufficient for every genuine need in our lives. The life of abundance comes from this awareness that nothing can suppress God’s grace.

Salvation in Jesus Christ is not a fire insurance policy. It is life—God’s kind of life—given to everyone who believes on Christ. It begins in the moment of spiritual birth, or regeneration. We have the privilege of participating in the divine nature (2 Pet. 1:4). What began in the spiritual birth will go on forever. It is eternal and indestructible because God is. Instead of a static life, our new relationship with God is continually entering into that life that possesses all the qualities of God. Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned, he has crossed over from death to life” (John 5:24).

If “eternal life” could be lost, renounced or taken away from us it would not be eternal. It would be as temporal as our physical life. It would not be the eternal life that God gives.

God is sovereign and He is eternal. Therefore, His gifts cannot be withdrawn. Since He has given us eternal life, that life is eternal life. We have confidence that we shall be glorified with our Lord.

Have you entered into that great love and provision of God? When you do your face will shine and your heart will be full of joy because of the indwelling of Christ.

If we will allow Him to lead us to the fullness of the Christian life we will find our table in His presence prepared, our heads anointed with His pure oil, and our cups overflowing with His wine of joy.

We will know God’s love and abundance not only for today, but for eternity.

The abundant life assures us that we can experience God’s blessings in this life and heaven, too. We can enter into the fullness of our great salvation today, and we will experience God’s goodness forever.

Philippians 4:19 says, “My God shall supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” The person who enters into this new, abundant life in Christ shall not lack any good thing.

Have you entered into the perfect peace of knowing that God is equal to every emergency and crisis you face? Have you experienced the fullness of His presence in you everyday life experiences? Do you allow Him to break in upon your awareness anytime He so chooses throughout the day?

The life He gives is overflowing in rising waves of a spiritual tide. It is like a river overflowing its banks in which nothing can suppress it. God’s favor toward us is unending because He gives a genuine unending supply.Selah!

Is The Most Wonderful Name

Lord our Lord, your name is the most wonderful name in all the earth! Psalms 8:1 The Holy Bible The New Century Version

Why is Jehovahs name the most wonderful name on earth?

Could it be that no one nor nothing can create beauty such as He does.

Man tries but can never copy much less surpass Jehovahs masterpieces.

Could it be because of His most amazing love towards us?

No one and nothing can compare to His cherished love.

Could it be for all the gifts He abundantly blesses us with every day?

No one and nothing can compare with His incredible gifts He abundantly blesses us with every day.

Could it be because He suffered and died such a horrible death so that we may have a Heavenly inheritance?

Could it be that He has the most amazing home prepared for us to enjoy for eternity?

Can it be because He offers the best guidance for our lives?

Can it be because no one can heal our mental, physical and spiritual wounds as gentle and complete as He can?

Can you think of any other reasons Jehovah, Jesus and The Holy Spirit have the most wonderful names?

Prayer: Oh my most precious Jehovah Jireh ( God provides Philippians 4:19 ) please forgive me for being unable to find the appropriate words to thank you for all the mental, physical and spiritual gifts You have generously blessed me with through out my life. In humble adoration I can only say thank you. I praise you in the name of Your greatest gift to me, my Beloved Heavenly big brother, Jesus Christ. Amen

Will Fill Me With

Being with you will fill me with joy;at your right hand I will find pleasure forever. Psalms 16:11 The Holy Bible The New Century Version

I cannot count the number of times during a day I laugh as praises are given unto my Heavenly Beloved for the gifts He blesses me with and the manner in which they are given ( believe me some have been delivered in very unusual ways. I an just picture Poppa and Jesus up in Heaven having a good chuckle ) .

Then there are the times when reading His words makes the heart dance with ecstatic joy.

Of course there are times during our daily conversations that He softly speaks an it brings joy bubbling up into my heart like a fresh spring of pure water.

I never pray because that is a dead experience where I do all the talking. I prefer to have conversations with Poppa because they are so much more intimate and enjoyable. Joseph- Anthony a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah El SIMCHAH GIYL (God my Exceeding Joy John 15:11 ) for blessing me with bountiful joy every day. I praise You in the name of He who walks joyfully with me on the rugged road to our Heavenly home Jesus Christ. Amen
