We are Still Stewards

The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it. Genesis 2:15 Holy Bible, New Living Translation

Now, even though we are not in the Garden of Eden we are still stewards of Jehovahs creation.

One day early this spring while riding my bicycle down a country road the Lord guided my attention to how filthy the side of the road was and reminded me that as a Christian I am a caretaker of Jehovahs creation. He inspired me to go midweek with some garbage bags and start to clean up all the rubbish on the side of the road. It was incredible the amount that was collected in a short distance. I made a commitment to return one day a week and continue down the road until it was all cleaned up.

You must not defile the land where you live, for I live there myself. I am the Lord, who lives among the people of Israel.” Numbers 35:34 Holy Bible, New Living Translation

After about a month, it rained out on the scheduled clean up day. A couple of days later when riding down the road to get some supplies for our garden the Lord directed my attention to the side of the road. It was spotless. That means someone or group noticed the work done, how it looked good and how bad the uncleaned part looked. They took the initiative and cleaned it up.

Many times we can lead by example in life with out even realizing it. Joseph a son of Jehovah

LEADERSHIP

You yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Titus 2:7 Holy Bible, New Living Translation

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Bore (Isaiah 40:28) The LORD Creator for blessing me with helpers to restore some of Your creation to the beauty You created to be. I exalt You in the name of He who will restore all of creation to its original beauty upon His victorious return Jesus Christ. Amen

May Gods sunshine always bless you with brightening your day with His love, joy and peace. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Rebelled Against the Command of the LORD.

COMPLETE DEDITACATION

“And the Lord said to me, ‘Tell them, “Do not go up nor fight, for I am not among you; lest you be defeated before your enemies.”  So I spoke to you; yet you would not listen, but rebelled against the command of the Lord, and presumptuously went up into the mountain. And the Amorites who dwelt in that mountain came out against you and chased you as bees do, and drove you back from Seir to Hormah.  Then you returned and wept before the Lord, but the Lord would not listen to your voice nor give ear to you. Deuteronomy 1:42-45 New King James Version

I remember one time when I was looking for a contract at the beginning of the tree planting season. I felt the Lord telling me to go south but I wanted to go north.

I stubbornly refused to obey His command and went north because I had an exhalent reputation there and thought getting a contract would be no problem. I could not beg, borrow or steal a contract.  I was homeless with no money and Jehovah was far from me.

Reluctantly I obeyed the Lord and went south where he wanted me to go in the first place.

The result was the best contract received in thirteen years of planting.

So many times we either think we know more than Jehovah or just stubbornly refuse to have faith in His guidance.

The ultimate result is disaster.

Sometimes when we cry out the Lord refuses to listen to us to teach us the hard way to listen and obey or pay a very high price.

Prayer: Please forgive this sometimes stubborn and obstinate child of Yours my believe Jehovah Yehew (God of His people) for refusing to obey Your wise commands in my life. Even now my love after all these years of experience I can still be stiff necked. Thank you my endearing One for forgiving me and pressing down on me until I relent and become Your cherished obedient child again. I pray this in the name of He who never gave up His sometimes dense disciples Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus sweet love bless you today and every day

Being Watchful and Thankful.

DEPEND UPON THE LIVING WATERS

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. Colossians 4:2New International Version

Devote:  to commit by a solemn act ,devoted herself to serving God

2:  to give over or direct (as time, money, or effort) to a cause, enterprise, or activity Merriam-Webster Dictionary

It should be the best part of every day for every Christian to begin their day talking with the one whom  loves them the most. It is in faith that we believe He will answer our prayers in His way and in His time.

Watch for Jehovahs answer.

Most times in my walk with Christ He answers my prayers in unexpected ways in unexpected times. It constantly amazes me but we are also to watch for Jehovahs answer when the Spirit moves us.

For example I asked the Lord to deliver me from poverty. I expected a full time permanent job in my town. His answer was for me to move from my small town to a big city.. It is in faith that I obeyed and was richly rewarded for doing so

Be thankful for His answer.

It is polite and courteous to be thankful for when someone does something for you.

So too it is with Christians and so much more when our beloved Father in Heaven answers our prayers.

If someone is ungrateful towards me, good luck on getting my help afterwards.

Someone who only wants something from us while giving nothing in return is not a loving man or woman, they are abusive. Joseph- Anthony: Green

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireh (God our provider) for amply answering my prayers. Thank you also for instilling in me a grateful heart. I praise You in the name of He whose blood provided the necessary requirements to become Your cherished child Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus sweet love bless you today and every day

You Can do Everything.

God is already there.

I know that You can do everything, And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You. Job 42:2 New King James Version

Sometimes what you would like to do you cannot accomplish.

Sometimes what politicians would like to do they cannot do.

Sometimes things churches would like to do, they cannot do.

But, if Jehovah wants it to be done, it will be done. Nothing or no one can stop Him.

There were all kinds of obstacles that were in the way of Him accomplishing what He desired in my life. He swatted them away like flies.

Put your faith in Him and be amazed at what he can and will do in your life.

Go out and look at the stars at night and just think, if Jehovah can create all of those stars do you really think He cannot accomplish His desire for you in His service or help with problems in your life?

He has done so many things in my life that I believed were impossible that I could write a book about them.

It may not be accomplished in a day or week, it may take years.

For me some things He did not accomplish my requests for years.

That was good because He taught me so much in that time. One thing He taught me was to have faith in Him and to have patience.

I always thought I was a patient man until becoming a Christian. Then I learned what real patience really is.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Elohim (God the creator) for being so patient and determined to mold this, at times, stubborn child into the obedient child You have desired for me to be. You have accomplished numerous amazing things in my life and through my life. I is a treasured honour to be one of Your works in progress. I exalt You in the name of the most patient of molders of lumpy clay Jesus Christ. Amen.

It Only Causes Harm

God loveS populations,

Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret it only causes harm. Psalm 37:8New King James Version

Holding onto anger affects your loving relationships. It can cause you to lash out at the innocent ones, especially those you love and end up destroying relationships.

How many siblings are there that do not even talk with each other any more because of anger?

Holding onto anger adversely affects your health and only sends you to an early grave.

I have seen many who are my age yet their health is shot and they look thirty years older than they are.

I have seen many go to their graves angry, bitter and lonely.

If your heart is filled with anger, how can you love others, including Christ?

If you cannot love others, how can others love you?

What a sad waste of life.

Do not hold onto anger. It hurts you more than the one you are angry with and many times brings them great delight to watch you suffer. Joseph- Anthony: Green

Now many times the cut is too deep for you to heal yourself. That is when you need good Christian councilors and to pray reverently. It may take years to heal.

It once took me five years to heal from a deep painful wound unfairly inflicted upon me by someone in the family. It was only through Christian counseling that I learned how to handle it.

Prayer:  Please Jehovah Heseh (God our healer) to any and all who are injured by life’s vicious bows to good solid Christian councilors who can and will heal them through Your divine grace. I humbly beseech You in the name of He whose love heals all wounds Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus sweet love bless you today and every day

The Korean and the Japanese.

GENTLE STREAM WINDING THROUGH FOREST

Prayers Answered.

These articles are dedicated to the wonderful and amazing way Jehovah Jireh (the Lord our provider) answers prayers. It is a simple journal that I would like to use as an example for others to list their sincere prayer requests and then how our Beloved answers them.

It will amaze you and create a heart of gratitude and respect for our gracious Jehovah Heseh (Our God of love).

The older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things. Titus 2:3New King James Version

I prayed for my precious little Japanese sister to be blessed with a good mentor to help her through her difficult times of being recently unemployed.

When she attended her friends church the pastor invited her to her apartment for a meal (in Asia being asked to share a meal is very important and is only for close family and friends so this was unexpected). During the meal my Japanese little sister and the pastor talked for hours and the Korean pastor gave her wise advice and great encouragement.

It is our Christian duty to be mentors to those who are not as mature in the walk with Christ. We are to lead by example and to help those struggling overcome their difficulties.

Who are you mentoring?

Editors note: In Asia when there is a large age difference the older is called grandfather or grandmother. If the age difference is not large they are called uncle or auntie. If the age difference is close it is big brother or big sister.

My precious little Christian sister is close to my age but younger so I address her as little sister while she addresses me as big brother.

Wouldn’t it be nice if that is the way we in the west addressed each other?

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Rohi (God is our Sheppard) for guiding a younger sheep to an older,  sheep in Your precious flock to guide her, encourage her and strengthen her. I extol You in the name of the most admirable Sheppard of all Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus sweet love bless you today and every day

Who Are You Serving?

DEVINE YOKE

“No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.”” Luke 16:13 New King James Version

I revel in the knowledge that I serve the Supreme King and am His servant.

Just as Jesus is spiritual, so too is obedience and servanthood to Him.

We think not how to serve Him materially but spiritually.  Now we serve Him in the material world but our purpose is not material but spiritual service.

Because I love my Master I love to serve Him.

A bonus is that the more we serve Him, the more He reveals Himself to and the deeper our loving relationship drinks from His sweet life giving waters.

On the other hand I find materialistic pleasures repugnant and extremely boring. They cannot even begin to compare with the spiritual.

Tied to the value of the person is the principle of servanthood. We value what we freely serve.” Douglas Groothuis

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Yehew (God of His people) for blessing me with accepting me as Your child in a divine loving relationship. I exalt You in the name of the King of whom I am so deeply in love with and honoured to serve Jesus Christ. Amen.

You Must Love One to Love the Other.

LOOKING TO HEAVEN

Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid. Proverbs 12:1 New International Version

The most important lessons learned in my life have been learned through discipline. It did not occur in a day and it most certainly was not easy. But believe me it was well worth it.

Discipline means that you do not quit and learn from your experience.

It is also good to have godly mentors who can help you learn from your lessons which means that we who have walked the path before must teach those who are walking it now.

On the other hand, I have seen many stubborn people, and yes, stubbornness and stupidity go hand in hand; continue to make the same stupid mistakes in their lives again and again. When you try to talk with them they consider you stupid and they are so much stupider than you. It is difficult but when you encounter these you must try to help them but if they refuse you cannot force it on them. You just have to step back and let them suffer.

Prayer: Thank you Holy Spirit Rabbi (Holy Spirit our Teacher) for blessing me with being the most amazing Teacher. I apologize for the times I have been a difficult student for You. I extol You in the name of the wisest teacher of them all Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus sweet love bless you today and every day

A Wise Man Fears.

FEED THE MIND

A wise man fears and departs from evil, But a fool rages and is self-confident Proverbs 14:16 New King James Version

Wisdom comes from knowledge and putting knowledge into practice. Knowledge comes from experience. Joseph- Anthony: Green.

When we experience things like alcohols abuse, drug abuse, abusive relationships the next time we see them coming the wise run.

As well we listen and learn from those who have gone down the path before us.

The mantra of the fool is: I know, I know.” when they do not know anything. And even when they go through the experience they refuse to learn and return to it to their peril.

When disaster occurs they rage at you, at society and or at relatives. Anyone and or anything rather than admit it is their own fault.

Whenever I encounter a fool heading for disaster I try to warn them. If they rage at me that I know nothing and they know everything I just walk away. That is difficult when it is someone you care about but it is useless to try to help them because they insist upon returning to their stupid ways.

The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, But he who heeds counsel is wise. Proverbs 12:15 New King James Version

Prayer: Please Jehovah Kael (voice of God) bless me to be wise enough to learn from Your voice that Yu bless me with through both my experience and that of others. I humbly beseech You in the name of the wisest teacher Jesus Christ. Amen.

How to Care for Each Other.

double beautiful water lilies

Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous. 1 Peter 3:8 New King James Version

You can do it so many ways every day.

When you are sitting on the bus or in a coffee shop, at school or work and you see someone who obviously is experiencing some emotional difficulties try to just sit next to them. Open the conversation with your own experience of how grateful you were to have someone to talk with during a difficult time. Then just let them know you are a good listener. If they ask you why you care just explain to them that you feel their pain and want to help them as you were helped.

Then listen more than talk. Ask questions at the right time. Do not be judgmental.

Maybe they need some professional help.

Carry around a list of governmental agencies with their contact information and share it with them. If necessary make the phone call for them or go there with them for support.

I have done it many times with great success.

“I do not ask the wounded person how he feels, I myself become the wounded person.” Walt Witman

Prayer: Please Jehovah Chanan (God of compassion ) bless me with a compassionate heart for those who You bring into my life that are hurting. Bless me with the wisdom to say the right words and take the right actions to help them. I humbly request this in the name of the one with the greatest compassionate heart Jesus Christ. .Amen
