The Lord Is With

Obscene stories, foolish talk, and coarse jokes—these are not for you. Instead, let there be thankfulness to God. Ephesians 5:4 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

A good example of obscene stories in like how many women you have had sex with, how much you drank on the weekend, how you are such a great fighter. Not only are they vulgar but they are also big headed (you are full of pride).

Foolish talk could be about talking about TV shows, movies and sports as if they are of ultimate importance.

How about gossip?

Not only is it foolish but it is also destructive. You are hurting those you are gossiping about.

Course jokes are the type with a lot of vulgarity in them. They usually center around sex.

Jehovah is so good to us we should have a huge repertoire of events to share with others with cheerful gratitude for the Giver. These should be simple and true. Yet, in telling them they should also inspire others to have a deep desire to what Jesus in their lives. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah’ Immeku (The Lord Is With You Judges 6:12 ) for blessing me with countless awesome experiences in my walk with You as well as the numerous quiet times we have enjoyed together, especially in Your Cathedral- nature.

I love to share these wonderful times with others so as to give glory to You and to encourage others to desire to join Your Holy Family.

I exalt You in the name of He who was walked many decades with me through feast and famine, Jesus Christ. Amen

Security of the One Who Trusts in the Lord.

I have changed the words to first person so it sounds as if Jehovah is talking with me. See how it sounds when it is read like He is talking with you personally.

 I dwell in the shelter of the Most High Will and remain secure and rest in the shadow of the Almighty [whose power no enemy can withstand].
I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust [with great confidence, and on whom I rely]!”
For He will save me from the trap of the fowler, And from the deadly pestilence.
He will cover me and completely protect me with His pinions, And under His wings me will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and a wall.

 I will not be afraid of the terror of night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day,
Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, Nor of the destruction (sudden death) that lays waste at noon.

A thousand may fall at my side And ten thousand at my right hand, But danger will not come near me. Because I trust and obey Jehovah many diseases which are caused by promiscuous life style will not affect me. Because I listen to Jehovah I will not fall for scammers whose only end is your destruction.

I will only [be a spectator as I] look on with my eyes And witness the [divine] repayment of the wicked [as I watch safely from the shelter of the Most High].

Because I have made the Lord, [who is] my refuge, is a place of safety and security, Even the Most High, my dwelling place,

No evil will befall me, Nor will any plague come near my tent. For He will command His angels in regard to me,  To protect and defend and guard me in all my ways [of obedience and service. They will lift me up in their hands,

Does this sound familiar? Did satan not tempt Jesus with this quote during His temptation in the wilderness?

I will tread upon the lion and cobra; The young lion and the serpent I will trample underfoot. The lion devours(tries to take your love, joy and peace from you as well as material things like money and the cobra spits poison which is lies and gossip.

“Because he set his love on Me, therefore I will save him; I will set him [securely] on high, because he knows My name [he confidently trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never abandon him, no, never].

“I call upon Jehovah, and He will answer me; He will be with my in trouble; He will rescue me and honor me.
“With a long life Jehovah will satisfy me And Jehovah will let me see My salvation.”

How do you feel now? 

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah-‘Immeku (The Lord Is With You) that You are always with me. Even when it seems like everything around me is being ripped apart I have faith in Your Divine providence that even better is awaiting me when You rebuild me. I thank you in the name of He whose resurrection rebuilt His disciples even when their world was turned upside down when they saw their Savior on the cross Jesus Christ. Amen

Who may ascend onto the mountain of the Lord?

And who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart,Who has not lifted up his soul to what is false, Nor has sworn [oaths] deceitfully. Psalm 24:3-4   Holy Bible Amplified Version                                                                            

The mountain was the meeting place with Jehovah.

If we desire an intimate relationship with Him, when we come to Him in prayer it is necessary for us to not be worshiping anything or anyone else other that Him.

We need to have integrity in our lives. It is necessary that our hands are clean. That is, that we have dealt honestly with everyone and not been deceitful.

Our hearts are to be pure. That means that we are not thinking about fleshly lust or revenge or being arrogant towards others.

To lift up our soul falsely means that we are not to gossip (which is spreading lies about others and spreading rumours, which can hurt or destroy others) and are not to give false testimony about others which will hurt them in court or in relationships.

To swear an oath in deceit means that we make promises that we have no intention of keeping. That is a form of lying. All of these things are detestable to Jehovah.

What right do you have to come to the temple of Jehovah when you are practicing the rituals of satan? Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Tsidkenu (The Lord is Righteousness) for teaching me and helping me to be righteous enough to enter into You most Holy Tabernacle (we have our own which is a great story). I love spending time with You more than anything else in this world and look forward to spending eternity with You. Thank you for convicting me of any offences and the proper manner in which to repent of them. I praise You in the name of He whose blood opened the door to our Tabernacle Jesus Christ. Amen

Whatever is beautiful, whatever is meaningful, whatever brings you joy, may you be blessed with an abundance of it this every day this year.

That is Not Friendship

                                                            

The man of too many friends [chosen indiscriminately] will be broken in pieces and come to ruin,

You see it a lot with professional sports (particularly basketball) and in music. Many of these so called super stars are surrounded with cling ons. These are parasites that cling on to you and suck everything they can out of you (in this case it is money). They constantly flatter the suckers and tell them how great they are. When their career is over most are bankrupt and on welfare. They go to the cling ons for help but are laughed at and rejected. The cling ons just move to another filled with vanity.

This is even more true with in families.

“Let him not trust in vanity (emptiness, futility) and be led astray; For emptiness will be his reward [for such living]. Job 15:31 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

When someone is your friend only because they want something from you, that is not friendship, that is abuse. Joseph: Anthony- Green

On the other hand there is the wise who take their time, pray for Jehovah’s guidance and He directs them to others who are true friends. We are always there for each other. You need help around the house and they find out about it, you need not call them because they are a knockn on your door ready to help.

And the same applies to them. I do not wait for the call, I go right over with tools in hand.

You are having problems in your life, they see it and are always there (and discreet, they will not gossip about it with anyone because that is betrayal of the worse kind). Right back at them.

I love to go for walks with someone who is a true friend in the bush or by a quiet stream and we talk about our problems with each other.

And of course, every good Christian knows that Jesus is their bestest friend right?

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Pryyand (God is my friend) for the supreme privilege of being a friend of Yours, Jesus’ and the Holy Spirit’s. It is my most revered blessing in life. I am grateful to You in the name of my bestest friend Jesus Christ. Amen

Bring My Sin To.

 So she said to Elijah, “What [problem] is there between you and me, O man of God? Have you come to me to bring my sin to mind and to put my son to death?” 1 Kings 17:18 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

Do you notice that the woman had an unconfessed sin?

It was only when a man of Jehovah was there that she was willing to admit it or them. He did not accuse her of anything. I believe it was his presence that nagged at her and the death of her son was the catalyst that brought her to confession.

Many times just the presence of a saint will bring someone to want to talk about a sin they have nagging on their conscience.

We are not to condemn them nor to judge them. We are not to minimize it either.

Instead we are to listen to them and pray with them. We are to pray for the Holy Spirit to guide us to use the proper words to help them along with their confession and repentance.

This is the process that I use with great success. At first it was quite confusing why folks I barely knew wanted to talk with me about their problems.

Then the Holy Spirit taught me that it is because others see Christ in me that they feel the need for repentance and the security that there would be no condemnation nor gossiping on my behalf.

It is important to understand that when one confides in you, you are not to burn the telephone wires about it and gossip to anyone and everyone who is willing to listen. You are dealing with someones life and as well you are a representative of Christ.

This is an ideal opportunity to bring them to Him or bring those that have strayed back to Him or to bring assurance to one who has momentarily fallen that they are not facing an angry fierce damming God but one who is loving and forgiving when repentance is sought. Then if it is a habitual sin we need Jehovah’s guidance on where they can find the resources to help them.

Prayer: Please Jehovah Kal El (voice of God) bless me with words of comfort, encouragement, respect and gentle words of conviction when a receptive sinner approaches me with a repentant heart. Guide my actions to be appropriate to guide them to repentance and to the resources they need to conquer any addictions that are plaguing them. I humbly request this in the name of He who gently brought Peter to repentance for deserting Him Jesus Christ. Amen.

Be Sincere.

Do you not hate those phonies.

For example you meet someone or call them and they say they were just thinking of you. Riiiight.

Or how about the ones that say they are your friend but can’t wait until you are gone to put a knife in your back or gossip about you.

Or, how about the ones that are friendly with you only because they want something from you and try to scam it out of you. When they do not want to scam anything out of you, you do not exist and Heaven forbid if you need any help and as them ( for some reason they are always busy whenever you want them to help you but they expect you to drop everything on their every whim.)

To be full of guile is to be deceitful.

Hypocrisy means to pretend to be what one is not.

On the other hand those with love always are willing to help and encourage others. They are a treasure in our lives and a wonderful blessing.

Love is an action, not an emotion. Do not tell me you love me, show me you love me. Joseph son of Jehovah

Whenever I experience those vile creatures I have nothing to do with them because they are nothing but trouble.

Prayer: Please Jehovah Heseh (God is love) bless me with a loving heart towards others as Your heart is loving towards me. I humbly request this in the name of He who loved me so much He suffered the horrors of the cross form me Jesus Christ. Amen.

I Will Not be Listening.

 “So when you spread out your hands [in prayer, pleading for My help], I will hide My eyes from you; Yes, even though you offer many prayers, I will not be listening. Your hands are full of blood!” Isaiah 1:15The Holy Bible Amplified Version

When your hands are soaked with the blood of innocent folks do you absurdly believe He will listen to your prayers?

What blood, I have not murdered anyone you may say. Maybe not with a knife or pistol but have you cheated anyone lately? Because of this could it be that you are taking food from their mouth because they now do not have money for groceries?

Have you viciously gossiped about anyone lately? Does this not pierce their hearts like a knife while you wickedly laugh at their discomfort? What if it drove them to suicide? Their blood is on your hands.

Have you ever said a mean cruel word to someone just to intentionally hurt them? Again that is like piercing their hearts with a knife?

Every time you intentionally hurt someone with your words or actions that is like piercing their hearts. That blood is on your hands in the eyes of Jehovah and your prayers are like dung to Him.

How can a God of love bless anyone with a heart of vile hate and greed? Your prayers are in vain Joseph son of Jehovah

Prayer: Please Jehovah El Roi. ( You are the God who sees ) correct me when I begin to stray from Your holy code of conduct because I never want to depart from our loving relationship. I cherish the times we spend every day in communion. I humbly ask this in the name of He who always walked in accordance to Your sanctified manner of conduct Jesus Christ. Amen.

While the Wicked are in My Presence.

I said, “ I will guard my ways That I may not sin with my tongue; I will muzzle my mouth While the wicked are in my presence.” Psalm 39:1 Holy Bible Amplified Version

This is great advice because the wicked love to trap you in your words and misquote you to start fights and then sit back and laugh.

I have encountered many who have a conversation with me about someone else only to take what I said and twist it around when they relay it to the person talked about. The purpose of this is to cause a fight which satisfies their perverted pleasure.

I have learned the hard way that when someone gossips about someone to me I just ask them a simple question which ends the filth right there and there : “ And what do you say about me when I am not around ? “ They have a look of shock and the conversation is abruptly ended.

Another thing I like to do is get a pen and paper and start to write down what they are saying. When they ask me what I am doing my reply is that I am documenting what they are saying so as not to misquote them if the other person comes to me about what was said. They squirm like a worm on a hot frying pan.

And finally try this one : “ It has nothing to do with me . “

I like to live by the saying : “ Be quick to listen and slow to speak. “ it keeps me out of a lot of trouble.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah-Mephalti (The Lord my Deliverer) for blessing me with Your Divine wisdom to keep my mouth shut around the wicked ones. In this way You have delivered me from their wicked schemes. I praise You in the name of He who refused to be trapped by Satan in the wilderness Jesus Christ . Amen

Which Group Do You Belong To?

There are five groups in every church.

 

There are the wolves.

 

I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock.  Acts 20:29 New International Version

 

These devils lurk about waiting to see a weak moment and pounce on you as they are very judgmental and condemning. They do this to stand on a pedestal to make themselves look righteous at the others expense. They are the most dangerous and destructive of them all. They drive more people from Christ than any of Satan’s minions could ever dream of

 

Then there are the groupies.

One of you says, “I follow Paul”; another, “I follow Apollos”; another, “I follow Cephas”; still another, “I follow Christ.” 1 Corinthians 1:12 New International Version

 

Now even though this refers to denominations it also includes those groupie clubs.

 

 

They are the ones that form little groups and it is an exclusive membership. If you are not say a new mother you are not welcome in their tribe. If you are a new member of a church they ignore you if you try to go over and talk with them. In short, they are the snobs.  They are responsible for one time visitors refusing to return for a second visit and indeed turning their back on Christ.

 

Next comes the tongue wagers.

Without wood a fire goes out; without a gossip a quarrel dies down. Proverbs 26:19 New International Version

These are the deadly parrots that lurk about listening in to other conversations to devour any tidbit they can. Once they grab hold of it they burn the telephone lines up telling anybody and everybody stupid enough to listen to them. They usually mix in a little bit of the truth with a whole bunch of lies. If this can cause trouble for the unfortunate victim all the better. When confronted about their filth they behave like innocent little lambs. They are relationship destroyers. Guard well what you say about them. They destroy more relationship and cause more hard feelings between members than any wrecking ball could to any building.

 

 

Then, comes the ones that are the minority but should be the majority in every church.

 

They are the Christians.

 

 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  gentleness and self-control. Galatians 5:22 New International Version

 

They are the ones that welcome any newcomers and make them feel at ease and, are always polite and respectable. Before the service they like to share what Jesus has done in their live the past week. After the service they like to talk about what was being said in relation to their walk with Christ. They are the ones that build up the church, both local and international. I am very honoured to be a member of this group and enjoy greatly being with them every opportunity I can.

 

The wolves are usually always attacking these minorities and are responsible for driving them many of them from the church.

 

Which group do you belong to?

 

Prayer: Please Jehovah Yahweh (God of His people) bless me to always conduct myself in thought, word and deed as a respectful child of Yours and guide me to fellowship with other brothers and sister so we can and will worship You in a harmony of love and joy. I sincerely ask this in the name of he who taught His disciples how to fellowship both amongst themselves and You Jesus Christ. Amen.
