How Much do You Trust?

in-his-arms

Then they asked Him, “What are we to do, so that we may habitually be doing the works of God?” Jesus answered, “This is the work of God: that you believe [adhere to, trust in, rely on, and have faith] in the One whom He has sent.” John 6:28-29 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

Another word for faith is trust.

How much do you trust Jehovah?

Be careful.

If you declare that you have complete trust in Him He will put you to the test and how foolish will you look then.

Personally I do not believe any Christian has complete and total trust in Jehovah. That is why we need to say: yes I believe, help my belief.”

That does not make sense does it?

Yes it does completely make sense.

We have faith in what Jehovah says is true but many times there is reservations about what He is saying to us. That is why we need to request that He bless us with enlarging our faith.

The just and upright shall live by faith.” Romans 1:17 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

Every morning we need to ask by faith that Jehovah will direct our footsteps in our thoughts, words and deeds. Then, in trust we believe He will do it.

But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him. Hebrews 11:6 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

If you do not trust (have faith ) in Jesus then why are you following someone you do not have faith in? Joseph- Anthony: Green

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Emunah (God is faithful) for having such Divine trust in me and confidence in me that You have some times in baby steps some times in leaps enlarged me trust in You and Your loving ways. I extol Thee in the name of He who trusted You all the way to the cross Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Through Your Faith.

we-are-purified

You who are being protected and shielded by the power of God through your faith for salvation that is ready to be revealed [for you] in the last time. In this you rejoice greatly, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the genuineness of your faith, which is much more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested and purified by fire, may be found to result in [your] praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:5-7 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

If you ever watch a blacksmith at work you will see him pull the horseshoe out of the fire and continuously hammer it into shape. Then he puts it into water and the impurities are separated. This is a slow process with this repeated until the horseshoe is complete.

The Holy Spirit does this with the child of Jehovah. He allows us to go through trials and tribulations to burn of the dross ( that which hinders our maturing in Christ ) and to mold us into being the child that Jehovah desires for us to be. It is a slow process which is not pleasant. It can take years ( for me my worst took a year ). This process is repeated for any and all impurities ( like stubbornness and a stiff heart and others ) which hinder our advancement into being a mature Christian. It is a unpleasant experience but at the other end of it we will thank Jehovah ( and the Holy Spirit ) for it every day.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Bara (The Lord Creator) for decimated my wicked debauchery that inhibited my walk with You and then purified me with Thy wondrous love into the cherished child of Your You desired me to be. I extol Thee in the name of He whose sacred blood washes away my filth and makes me clean Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

He Has Never Lost a Case.

no-conviction

My little children (believers, dear ones), I am writing you these things so that you will not sin and violate God’s law. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate [who will intercede for us] with the Father: Jesus Christ the righteous [the upright, the just One, who conforms to the Father’s will in every way—purpose, thought, and action]. 1 John 2:1 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

In todays terms Jesus would best be described in this verse as our defence lawyer. Every day we commit numerous crimes against Jehovah. Each and every one of them condemns us to eternal damnation in Hell. Thankfully when we confess with a repentant heart (repent means to admit what you did, admit it was wrong, apologize for it and stop doing it ) by the blood of our Heavenly sacrificial Lamb ( Jesus Christ ) we are forgiven. He represents us as our defence lawyer. He has never lost a case.

This does not give us contre blanche to sin and believe we can con Jesus by saying sorry and deliberately returning to the filthy sin we committed .

A sincere contrite heart Christ is quick to forgive. An arrogant heart that foolishly falsely confesses their sin with out true repentance Christ is quick to condemn. Joseph- Anthony; Green.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Ganan (The Lord is Our Defence) that Thy Holy blood is the only defense that acquits me in Jehovahs supreme court. I extol Thee in Thy most Holy name. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Prayer Helps Us to Respond.

when-i-pray

When I am afraid,I will put my trust and faith in You. In God, whose word I praise; In God I have put my trust; I shall not fear. Psalms 56: 3-4 Holy Bible Amplified Version

We all encounter trials and tribulations, sorrows and snares.

I have experienced such intense tribulation it was difficult sleeping, eating and functioning in society. Nothing helped me, not words from friends or councilors, nor self help books. It was only when I got down on my knees and in deep anguish cried out to Jehovah that He blessed me with an all encompassing love which strengthened me and stilled my heart with peace. The fear slowly ebbed away like darkness with the rising sun. There was no fear just peace and assurance of Jehovahs firm but gentle hand upon my life. I trusted Him and had faith in Him. He did not let me down, He never does. He filled me with confidence and an eagerness to attack and destroy the troubles. This process has been repeated every time trial and tribulation, sorrow and snares come my way.

When trouble comes my way I get down on my knees and pray. Joseph- Anthony; Green

Christian, no matter what you are enduring now get down on your knees and pray with all your heart. Jehovah loves you, He cares about you and longs to comfort you, fill you with peace, love, strength and confidence. But, first, you must ask for His divine intervention and then be obedient unto His counsel if you are to experience assured victory.

Prayer helps us to respond to misfortune with courage, to react with confidence and to rebound with enthusiasm. –William Arthur Ward

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Immanuel (God is with us) that You are always there, that You always care, that You bless me with strength, wisdom, peace, assurance and love whenever trouble great and small come crushing down upon me. I exalt The in the name of He who calmed the violent storm for His loved disciples Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

The Best Cheerleader.

gods-word

God who gives endurance and who supplies encouragement. Romans 15:5 Holy Bible Amplified Version

In many group sports they have cheerleaders. Their purpose is to encourage the team, especially when they are down in the score.

The best cheerleader for life of course is The Holy Spirit.

He provides us with physical, mental and spiritual endurance for the race Jehovah has chosen for us to run. He has various methods to accomplish this from the Holy Bible , to preachers to fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.

It is when we are at our lowest that we appreciate the most Jehovahs helping hand. Joseph- Anthony: Green

The same can be said for encouragement.

I cannot count the number of times I was ready to quit and then someone came and blessed me with encouraging words and help to see me through the tough times. I cannot count the number of times when a preacher sounded as if he was speaking directly to me from Jehovah that it lifted me up and strengthen me to carry on with zest. This is repeated through music as well as just spending quiet time with Him.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Ezer (The LORD our Helper) for blessing me with the many wonderful ways You have encouraged me when I was ready to give up. Thank you for helping me regain my strength to carry on Your Holy path You have chosen for me to travel down. I exalt You in the name of He who encouraged His disciples Jesus Christ. Amen

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Which One do You Trust?

FALL COLOURS ALONG COUNTRY TRAIL

“The heart is deceitful above all things And it is extremely sick; Who can understand it fully and know its secret motives? Jeremiah 17: 9 Holy Bible Amplified Version

Which one do you trust?

Do you trust your heart , which is flawed and can be easily manipulated ( Just ask any man or woman who conned into a destructive relationship with a member of the opposite sex or anyone who has been scammed by the Nigerian scam . Boy am I glad I listened to Jehovah instead of my heart regarding relationships. If I had of followed my heart it would have ended up in a destructive relationship numerous times.) or do You trust Christ who truly loves you and desires what is best for you?

The mind of the flesh [with its sinful pursuits] is actively hostile to God. It does not submit itself to God’s law, since it cannot, and those who are in the flesh [ living a life that caters to sinful appetites and impulses] cannot please God. Romans 8:7-8 Holy Bible Amplified Version

Which one do you trust : the filthy lies the world tells you that you can have anything you want if you just try hard enough and believe in yourself or Jehovah who says He knows you better than you know yourself and has a specif plan for your life? Whenever someone spews this stupidity at me I just start to flap my arms. When they question what I am doing it is explained that I always wanted to fly like an eagle so going by your theory if I just try hard enough and believe in myself than I can fly. They look at me like I am an idiot and tell me that is impossible. I just smile at them and walk away. They get the point.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Rabbi (God our Teacher) for blessing me with Your Divine wisdom, strength and guidance in every aspect of my life. You have graciously steered me away from so many catastrophes and towards numerous success’. I praise You in the name of the greatest Sheppard Jesus Christ. Amen

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Worry Leads to Impatience

god-is-already-there

Do not fret; it leads only to evil. Psalm 37:8 Holy Bible Amplified Version

To fret means to worry.

Have we not all fretted on more than one occasion?

I used to be a first class worry wort. If things did not happen in my time , I would take matters into my own hands. When the crash and burn happened my cry unto Jehovah was always the same : “ Jehovah , where were You , why did You not help me. “ He of course was not to fault but it was my own fault. It took me many years to wait upon His time , in His way.

I used to believe I was a patient man until I became a Christian and had to wait upon Jehovahs timing , not my own. Joseph- Anthony: Green

I believe not only was He teaching me patience but also to have and enlarge my faith.

Worry leads to impatience waiting for Jehovah to answer. Impatience leads to arrogance which says I will not wait for the Lords answer. This leads us to take matters into our own hands. This , of course , leads to disaster. Joseph- Anthony: Green

“O God, never suffer us to think that we can stand by ourselves, and not need Thee.” — John Donne

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Emunah (God is faithful) for blessing me with teaching me to always have faith and to be patient to wait upon Your time in Your way in every aspect of my life. I know You are faithful unto me to never leave me nor desert me. I praise You in the name of He who waited three days in the tomb before rising to eternal glory Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.
