Oh Holy Spirit, I need You every moment of every day of my life.
Please come and fill me with Your power.
Please be my Comforter. You don’t promise me an easy care free life with no troubles, no pain, or sorrow. But You do promise to be with me through them all.
Teach me to always turn to You, to depend upon Your wisdom, strength and power as I journey this difficult road of life Jesus has chosen for me to travel. I choose You as my guide on that road so that you prevent the devil from leading me astray from that road!

Oh Father, it is so frustrating to watch our elderly loved ones condemn themselves to constant injury because they are are stubborn and stupid (which is, may I add, selfish).
Now that they are old and their bodies frail their injuries are so much more serious when they commit these offences against their bodies. It causes untold pain and discomfort to them and makes my caring for them even more demanding.
Please send the Holy Spirit to sternly warn them to prevent these incidents from constantly recurring.
I know a certain woman that is forbidden from eating certain foods. Some of these she used to love to eat. When ever she attempts to eat one of them she is warned it will make her sick. She stubbornly refuses to listen. In no more than one minute after taking her first bite, she is puking her eye balls out.
Sadly I see incident like this with almost all seniors I have come in contact with- unless, they are living in seniors homes.

In my life as I slowly learned to be more and more receptive and obedient unto the Lords guidance the more and more the Lord has protected me from the Slick Willies and guided me away from disastrous and dangerous places.
Listening and obeying the Lord prevents a lot of trouble in ones life. Joseph a son of Jehovah
In my life there have been so many times as if it seems that not only are the wicked getting away with their vile deeds, they are prospering through. They laugh at and mock the righteous.
Then, the Lord strikes. When He strikes He has no mercy.
Then, the high and mighty are either living in the gutter or living in prison. All of their ill gotten treasure stripped from them. Then, they are laughed at and ridiculed by the world around them.
Oh how sudden and merciless are the wicked kicked off of their high horses and into the gutter. Joseph a son of Jehovah

It is a constant battle.
Although we are Christians in spirit we are still flesh and blood with fleshly desires that fight against the spirit.
How many times have we spoken foolishly with words that hurt others (whether intentional or unintentional)?
How many times have we looked at someone and wanted to jump in the sack with them (yes women do it as well as men)?
How many times have we looked down on another because of their race, nationality or social standing?
These things are said to be natural and they are, for the flesh.
But as Christians we are to live super natural lives.
We cannot succeed on our own initiative.
Thankfully we have the ultimate superpower readily available to assist us. His name is the Holy Spirit.
I cannot count the number of times I call upon Him every day. It is so reassuring to know He is always there and deeply gratifying as well. He has prevented numerous disasters in my daily life.
Make a habit of always opening your mouth to Him first before you open it to someone else Always make a habit of running to Him before you run to your fleshly desires first. It prevents untold painful catastrophes

Prayer: Please JehovahMa’oz (Lord my Fortress) bless me to always be able to take shelter in Your strong fortress when the enemy comes attacking my mine with destructive thought which are repugnant unto both You and I. Please bless me with the proper weapons to defeat the wicked foe when He comes slithering into my daily life so as to remain a righteous child of Yours. The reason Jehovah does not answer your prayer is because you are not listening to Him.
You are living in a sin that Jehovah has convicted you of and tries to speak to your heart to repent. You refuse to listen. As a result the sin begins to grow and spread like a cancer to both body, mind and spirit. It will slowly completely destroy you.
Jehovah loves you so He knows this and is trying to prevent you from crumbling into a living Hell and condemning yourself to an eternal one.
Or, He wants you to do something and you stead fast refuse to listen and obey. He will use harsh measures to get your attention and obedience.
One time He was guiding me to go down south to plant trees. I refused using the logic that the season is longer up north so I would make more money. Not only could I not get a job but was left penniless and homeless. Finally a old friend gave me money to go down south. As soon as I got off the bus I was hired and made more money in that short season than would have been possible up north.
Now in this instance it was for my own good but many times Jehovah is directing you to go where He has a specific task for you to do.
A conversation is where you speak I listen. I speak you listen. Dictating is where you speak I listen. I speak you do not listen. I do not waste my time with a dictator and neither does Jehovah. Joseph son of Jehovah.
Prayer: I pray Jehovah KalEl (voice of God) that I always listen, understand and obey Your wise voice every time You speak with me. I treasure the instruction You bless me with because I know it is for my own good. I humbly request this in the name of my wise King Jesus Christ.Amen.

Do you believe just because it is old it is worthless?
The Word of God is older than the hills. It is to be trusted and obeyed because it is the wisest.
Because they did not obey Gods commandment in the United States and give the land a rest, is it not a historical fact that that is what caused the “dust bowl” of the nineteen thirties?
Now concerning the farmland in the world, how many farmers give their crops a years rest?
Indeed, how much farmland in the world is owned by big companies like Monsanto? Do they care about obeying Gods word or about profit?
You see, it used to be that farmers rotated their crops. That meant that one year they would grow say vegetables and the next use it for cows to graze on. It allowed the ground to regain the nutrients it gave up to the vegetable the year before.
Now, because they do not give the land a rest it is growing weaker and weaker every year. This means they have to put stronger and stronger fertilizer on it. This means there are less and less nutrients in our food.
It is true that fruits and vegetables grown decades ago were much richer in vitamins and minerals than the varieties most of us get today. Eventually it is going to collapse.
When that happens, and it could happen any time now, there is going to be a world wide famine like never before in history.
When that happens, do not say:” God, how can you do this to us?”
It is not Gods fault, it is mans for refusing to obey Gods wise command.
What are you doing to take care of the land around you?

Prayer: Please Jehovah Elohim (God our creator) move people to more sustainable and organic farming and move their hearts to obey Your discerning Word. I ask this in the name of He who feeds us spiritually Jesus Christ. Amen.

Last night I prayed that the course I was to take would be very educational for me and enjoyable.
The course and the instructors were very educating to us and especially to me with volunteering in a seniors home and caring for my aged disabled mother for myself and for preparing the other students for their chosen fields in their careers. The material was easy to understand and the presentation very educational and easy to understand.
It helped me to understand mentally challenged seniors behaviour and therefore help with interaction with them.
It also helped show me how to prevent problems and how to deal with them if they occur.
The other classmates were great as was the instructors. The atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable.
I would strongly urge anyone caring for the elderly or mentally challenged and for teachers to learn Gentle Persuasive Approach if possible. It will help you out a great deal.
Although some it is not possible to implement because of staff shortage at the seniors home I volunteer at it is still well worth the time.
As you will see in a later post this training held me in good steed.
I think it is only available in Ontario Canada now but if it is available in your area I would defiantly recommend it.
