So from one man, though he was [physically] as good as dead, were born as many descendants as the stars of heaven in number, and innumerable as the sand on the seashore. Hebrews 11:12 The Holy Bible Amplified Version
Think of it.
Imagine an article in the news stating that a couple of old geezers (and I can get away with calling them that because I am one) are going to have a child. It would confound everyone.
Now think of it in Abraham’s days when there was no artificial insemination. Not only would it seem impossible to Abraham and Sarah but imagine those in other countries and even their own family. The question on everyone’s mind would be:How can this be?”
I can imagine Jehovah rolling in the Heavens laughing. I love His sense of humour.
So many times I think He is sending me here to do this when in reality He is sending me there to do that.
So imagine you think Jehovah is sending you out for pizza in the west end of town and you end up in the north east end of town going canoeing. I end up laughing and laughing and telling Him I love His sense of humour. I can imagine Jehovah rolling in the Heavens laughing with me. Jehovah has the greatest sense of humour of all.
“Whence comes this idea that if what we are doing is fun, it can’t be God’s will? The God who made giraffes, a baby’s fingernails, a puppy’s tail, a crook necked squash, the bobwhite’s call, and a young girl’s giggle, has a sense of humour. Make no mistake about that.” — Catherine Marshall
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah El SIMCHAH GIYL (God my Exceeding Joy) for blessing me with explosive joy every time You bless me with sharing Your amazing humour with me. I praise You in the name of He who showed His wonderful sense of humour to His disciples Jesus Christ. Amen
May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day. Joseph a son of Jehovah
