I Like to Do It Incognito

“Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get. But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you. Matthew 6:1-4 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

CHRIST FIRST, OTHERS SECOND

The other day while walking down the hallway after visiting a friend in the hospital I noticed little plaques on the wall with names of folks who donated to the hospital. The bigger the donation, the bigger the plaque.

It was the same in a church I recently dropped off clothing to give to others for free. I could not help but think that although these were generous gifts they were given out of excess and were given to puff up the ego of the giver.

How many of the parishioners gave out of their meager wages denying themselves for the good of the church or hospital?

To me, these are the real generous givers.

It is the same when I watch folks running for a cause like cancer.

How many of them are running with selfie sticks?

Are they running for the cause of a cure for cancer or for the cause of puffing up themselves?

When I give, I like to do it incognito, because of the disdain for being applauded for it in public. Instead I always give thanks to Jehovah for the idea to give to that specif cause and for the opportunity to do so with great joy.

Give but give with the object of giving glory to Jehovah not to self. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah El Simchath Gili (Psalms 43:4 GOD My Exceeding Joy) for guiding where to give and how much to give to those who You deem worthy. Doing so creates a heart that beats with ecstatic joy in helping while giving glory to You magnificent name.                                       I praise You in the name of He who gave the ultimate sacrifice for me Jesus Christ. Amen

May you be blessed with abundant joy in your heart filled with love and your life overflowing with laughter every day this year. May you be blessed with numerous opportunities to share these gifts with others today.   Joseph a son of Jehovah

You are The

My Holy Cherished Beloved Father, You are the love of my live and I deeply respect, admire and worship You.

WITH ALL YOUR HEART

Thank you for blessing me with the Holy Spirit to guide me into an ever deeper prayer life and intimacy with You, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. Psalm 16:11 The Holy Bible, Living Translation

One of the wonderful things about youse is that it is impossible to ever know Youse completely. There is always something more You teach me about Yourselves which amazes me and enlarges my love for Youse.

The one thing I ask of the Lord— the thing I seek most—is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord’s perfections and meditating in his Temple. Hear me as I pray, O Lord. Be merciful and answer me! Psalm 27:4,7 The Holy Bible, Living Translation

The greatest joy of my life is when we communion together.

The next greatest is when I share this with others and it guides them to You.

Happy are those who hear the joyful call to worship, for they will walk in the light of your presence, Lord. Psalm 89:15 The Holy Bible, Living Translation

I give thanks for these precious treasures in the name of the greatest treasure of all, Jesus Christ. Amen

Wishing you a house full of sunshine, hearts full of cheer and love that grows deeper each day of the year. Welsh blessing

Following the Example Of

FOLLOWING CHTISTS EXAMPLE

Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. Ephesians 5:2 Holy Bible New Living Translation

We imitate that which we admire. Joseph a son of Jehovah

True Christians admire, adore and worship Christ. As such, they are not haughty nor self righteous. They are humble ( which means we do not put ourselves above nor below others. We are confident in who we are in Christ so we do not need to impress anybody. ), loving, compassionate and respectful.

When folks see this in a selfish self centered world they are drawn to us like bugs to a light. That is how we imitate Christ, which is the only way to attract the little lost sheep to the Great Sheppard flock.

“There is not a hint of one person who was afraid to draw near him [Jesus]. There were those who mocked him. There were those who were envious of him. There were those who misunderstood him. There were those who revered him. But there was not one person who considered him too holy, too divine, or too celestial to touch. Max Lucado

Prayer: Thank you Jesus Pyyrand (Jesus my best friend) for the casual manner in which we can commune together. Please bless me with this ability to emulate You when in the midst of the lost so they can relax and be open to receiving Your message of a desire to bless them with a loving relationship with You as You have blessed me. I sincerely request this in Your beautiful name. Amen

May your house be filled with joy in the morning and sweet dreams at night. May it be a home where love has come to live. Joseph a son of Jehovah
