I Like to Do It Incognito

“Watch out! Don’t do your good deeds publicly, to be admired by others, for you will lose the reward from your Father in heaven. When you give to someone in need, don’t do as the hypocrites do—blowing trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to their acts of charity! I tell you the truth, they have received all the reward they will ever get. But when you give to someone in need, don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing. Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you. Matthew 6:1-4 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

CHRIST FIRST, OTHERS SECOND

The other day while walking down the hallway after visiting a friend in the hospital I noticed little plaques on the wall with names of folks who donated to the hospital. The bigger the donation, the bigger the plaque.

It was the same in a church I recently dropped off clothing to give to others for free. I could not help but think that although these were generous gifts they were given out of excess and were given to puff up the ego of the giver.

How many of the parishioners gave out of their meager wages denying themselves for the good of the church or hospital?

To me, these are the real generous givers.

It is the same when I watch folks running for a cause like cancer.

How many of them are running with selfie sticks?

Are they running for the cause of a cure for cancer or for the cause of puffing up themselves?

When I give, I like to do it incognito, because of the disdain for being applauded for it in public. Instead I always give thanks to Jehovah for the idea to give to that specif cause and for the opportunity to do so with great joy.

Give but give with the object of giving glory to Jehovah not to self. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah El Simchath Gili (Psalms 43:4 GOD My Exceeding Joy) for guiding where to give and how much to give to those who You deem worthy. Doing so creates a heart that beats with ecstatic joy in helping while giving glory to You magnificent name.                                       I praise You in the name of He who gave the ultimate sacrifice for me Jesus Christ. Amen

May you be blessed with abundant joy in your heart filled with love and your life overflowing with laughter every day this year. May you be blessed with numerous opportunities to share these gifts with others today.   Joseph a son of Jehovah

They are Charlatans.

He replied,“Rightly did Isaiah prophesy about you hypocrites (play-actors, pretenders), as it is written [in Scripture], ‘These people honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. Mark 7:6 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

This is why the once saved always saved is a lie.

Yes some profess to be baptized and be followers of Christ.

The problem is that they refuse to follow Him in their every day life. They refuse to worship Him, they refuse to thank Him, they refuse to talk with Him (in prayer- except when they want something from Him) and when He speaks with them, they refuse to listen, understand and obey. In short they are charlatans.

Charlatans: one making usually showy pretenses to knowledge or ability fraudfaker Charlatans put on masks in a charade or in a play.

Too many folks put on the outward mask of Christ while the inward heart belongs to satan. They play at being Christian with going to church, going to Bible studies maybe even reading the Bible but they do not walk the walk. They are make believe Christians just as the charlatans are playing the part in a play. If they foolishly believe they are saved they are in for a rude awakening on Judgement Day.

“The man who is not sanctified to the extent of obeying God rather than Satan has not been justified either, making it an obvious fact that he is never saved without either.”  Burton Coffman

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Emet (God of truth) for favoring me with Your excellent truth to enlighten me to the charlatans that play act devotion unto You. In this regard You direct me away from these phonies less they spread this unholy disease unto me. I salute You in the name of He who exposed the phonies while walking amongst us Jesus Christ. Amen

May your house be filled with joy in the morning and sweet dreams at night. May it be a home where love has come to live. Joseph a son of Jehovah

I Have Met Many Pretenders

You hypocrites (play-actors, pretenders), rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you when he said, ‘This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far away from Me. Matthew 15:7 -8 Holy Bible Amplified Version

I have met many pretenders in church. They are the biggest hypocrites ever met. They are constantly criticizing others for the smallest of things while they commit far bigger sins. They dress like Dapper Dans. They do more to drive folks away from Christ than towards them.

Sadly from my experience most are elders in the congregation. Indeed they are the primary reason folks do not attend church ( I know it is for me).

I have also seen them in their final years and they are paying for their abhorrent behaviour and very sad and die alone.

We need the Holy Spirit to come along side of us and correct this behavior in its infancy before it takes root in our disposition. None of us are immune to it.

“God is in the hypocrite’s mouth, but the world is in his heart.” Gurnall

Prayer: Please Jehovah El Roi. You are the God who sees open my eyes to the wolves that prance around in sheeps clothing and when I begin to become like one of them sternly correct me so as to never stray from Thy holy flock. I meekly request this in the name of He who is never a pretender Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Your Worst Attacks Comes From Within

If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. John 15:19 New King James Version

HARRASED

Many Christians mistake this to solely mean to those outside the Christian community like Buddhists or Muslims or New Agers.

From my experience, and I have a lot of it, they did not hate me. They either respected my beliefs, tolerated it or ignored it.

Then what could these verses be referring to?

Again from my experience, and I have a lot of it, it was from the false Christians in the church, particularly the wolves (the self righteous ones who are always quick to find fault and condemn others). They put on the façade of being a Christian during the sermon but were the biggest hypocrites before and after the service. They do more to give Christians a bad name and drive others away from Christ and church than the best of Satans minions. When they see Christians they hate us and constantly make false accusation against us and do everything they can do to make our life difficult.

So do not be surprised when your worst attacks come from within the church and not outside it.

“Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.  Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” Matthew 5:11-12 New King James Version

Prayer: Please Jehovah Yehew (God of His people) bless me with the wisdom, strength and meekness (meekness means to keep our tempers under control so we do not fall into their wicked bait to get us into stupid arguments and make us look bad) to always exhibit the same behaviour as our beloved friend Jesus did when encountering the scribes and Pharisees in His time. Bless us with this opportunity to expose their evilness and Your divine love. I sincerely ask this in the name of He who showed the way Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day
