Everything for Nothing

The Hebrew prophet Isaiah offered a great invitation to everyone to come to the fountain of grace.

“Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost” (Isaiah 55:1).

The blessings of God are available “without cost.” Salvation is a free gift of God. This invitation is a picture of grace in the Old Testament. These blessings are gifts of divine grace, and they are also obtained by grace. They are received only by a sense of need and readiness to accept them.

When speaking of the remnant of Israel the apostle Paul wrote, “But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace” (Romans 11:6). Free grace and works are like water and oil; they do not mix. They are opposites; they are incompatible.

The only qualification is to be spiritually thirsty and needy. The “water” of refreshing and cleaning that Christ gives is the “water of life.” He gives the “wine” of joy, exhilarating, comforting, and refreshing that “makes glad the heart of man.” He gives “wine” with fullness of holy delight and “milk” that nourishes and satisfies the soul. These are pictures of the satisfying and sustaining qualities of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He brings satisfaction to the soul for time and eternity. The water, wine, and milk are the full supply of life joy and satisfaction in the Christian’s life.

The wonder of it all is that God gives it freely. It is free grace that God gives to sinners who are thirsty for God. Jesus said, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied” (Matthew 5:6). Only the grace of God can possibly give this kind of satisfaction. The purchase is made “without money and without cost.” The gifts of God are without money and without price.”

God freely saves the sinner not because man deserves it or merits it. The gifts of God are absolutely free in the most unrestricted sense of the term. Everything is given freely because it has been paid for in full by Jesus Christ. It cost the Lord Jesus Christ His blood. He gave His life in the sinner’s place. On our part, it is “without money and without price,” but on God’s part, it cost Him the most precious possession in heaven, His own beloved Son. Eternal life is the pure gift of God. It is foolish to think you can pay for a gift someone freely gives you.

Why is such a single truth that salvation is the free gift of God, and can only be received as a free gift by faith, so confusing to some individuals? Sinful man thinks there must be something to do or feel before a sinner can receive the gift of grace. “Without money and without cost” goes against our pride.

Whether we are the thief on the cross, Mary Magdalene, a murder on death row, or an upright, moral religious person we all come to the cross the same way to be saved. It is by free grace through the atoning death of Jesus Christ. The world religious systems all teach that the gifts of God must all be purchased or merited by man’s efforts. Sinful man wants to bargain with God.

Grace invites all who are spiritually needy to come to the waters of life, even to those of “you who have no money come, buy, and eat.” Are you bankrupt spiritually? Congratulations, you qualify for God’s grace.

Jesus gave a similar invitation to all to “Come. And let the one who hears say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who wishes take the water of life without cost” (Revelation 22:17). Did you note “without cost?” It is all of free grace. It asks neither money, nor price, nor anything of man. God did it all so that He alone gets all the glory.

The best things in life are free. Salvation and eternal life are no exception. The richest man on the face of the earth as well as the poorest, most miserable beggar must come the same way—by the grace of God in Christ Jesus.

I meet people all the time who think they must have some extraordinary vision, experience, revelation, or a certain kind and level of emotions in order to be saved. The plain simple teaching of the Scriptures is salvation is a gift of free grace through faith in Jesus Christ. “Believe on the Lord Jesus and you shall be saved.” Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, and all we need to do is put our trust in Him. “Look to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth.” Look at Christ and be saved. That is the good news of salvation.

Come and drink the waters of life. It is “without money and without cost” that it might be by grace alone through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9).Selah!

He Would be with Him In

God, whose word I praise; In God I have put my trust;
I shall not fear. What can mere man do to me? Psalm 56:4 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

Today more than any other time in our lives we need to take hold of this verse in our every day life.

As all governments are trying more and more to steal our freedom and enslave us to big business, we need to not only have faith in Jesus but to ask Him to send The Holy Spirit to guide us on what we must do and how to do it to fight back to protect our children.

We are not to sit on our hands and expect Jesus to do everything for us. Jehovah promised Joshua He would be with him in battle not that He would fights Joshua’s battles for him. Joseph- Anthony a son of Jehovah

May I suggest you read Mary Croft and how I beat every bureaucratic in the book free pdf.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Immeka (Judges 6:12 The LORD Is with You ) for blessing us with The Holy Spirit to teach us and help us stand up and defend not only our rights but those of the children as well against the satanic forces attacking us in every country today. I praise You in the name of my mighty warrior king Jesus Christ. Amen

Follow My Example.

Parents do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Ephesians 6: 4 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

Yes we are to be obedient towards our parents but the door swings both ways too.

Parents are not to be dictators but rather Godly role models.

The old saying” Do as I say not as I do” is satanic and destructive. The Christian parenting motto is “ Follow my example. “ Joseph- Anthony a son of Jehovah

As well, parents are to spend time with their children helping them with their homework, doing chores together, listen to their problems nonjudgmental, and last but certainly not least, they are to enjoy spending time playing with them.

Prayer: Please Jehovah Abba (God our Father 1 John 3:1 ) send The Holy Spirit to guide fathers and mothers to be a Godly example for their children to follow. I humbly ask this in the name of Your cherished son, Jesus Christ. Amen

Dressed for the New Life

Are you dressed in grave clothes or wedding garments?

Now that we have been saved by grace how then shall we live? How are we to walk in this new life?

The apostle Paul uses an illustration in terms of taking off one set of clothes and putting on another in Colossians 3:9-10. “Do not lie to one another, since you laid aside the old self with its evil practices, and have put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him.”

The verbs in this passage are in the past tense. “You have taken off your old self . . . and have put on the new.” The aorist tense indicates something that has already taken place. It has already happened, and not something to be done.

The action is to take off completely; to strip off one’s self. If the old self really has been put off, one must not at a critical moment revert to the way one acted before his conversion. The plural describes the deeds, which characterized the former life.

In Colossians 3:10, the idea of “new” is the newness in quality, and it is the continual action “which is ever being renewed.”

We are to take off once for all, definite concluding action. Stripping off is to be done at once, and for good. The old manner of life is to be done with.

“In reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self (Lit. man), which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth” (Ephesians 4:22-24).

The “old man” is your manner of life which Paul described in 2:3. Westcott said, “The whole character representing the former self was not only corrupt but ever growing more and more corrupt.” Every aspect of the old man’s behavior is putrid, crumbling, or bloated like rotting waste or cadavers, stinking, ripe for being buried and forgotten.

The other action is to “put on” one’s self, to cloth one’s self. It is newness in quality that is put on. Paul is not suggesting the restoration of the original state. The old and new is contrasted.

The present tense in Ephesians 4:23 emphasizes the continual renewing. We are to put on in the sense of putting on a garment (v. 24). Thus, the believer puts on, or fulfills the divine demands God places upon men. This is the habitual action that is to characterize the life of the Christian (v. 25).

The “renewing in the spirit of the mind” of which Paul speaks in Eph. 4:23 is to make new again, or to renew. It is also found in Rom. 12:2 when he speaks of “the renewing of the mind.” This renewal is kin to make new, different. It is an adjustment of the moral and spiritual vision and thinking to the mind of God. The stress in Rom. 12:2 is on the continual operation of the indwelling Spirit and the willing response of the believer. “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”

Paul is speaking of a radical change, “being transformed” which is the same word for “transfiguration” of Jesus in Matthew 17:2. It is “to change into another form,” which is an inner change, a radical renovation. We are changed from the inside out.

Our practical everyday sanctification is the restrained and obedient powers of the personality brought into subjection and submission to God’s will by the Holy Spirit.

Are you responding to the appeal of the Holy Spirit to put off all conduct associated with your former life apart from Christ and put on a new pattern of behavior that looks like Christ? We are to follow Christian standards because God has already made us new creatures in Christ Jesus. The apostle is demanding a high form of behavior on our part because something decisive has already taken place in our lives. We have already been made new in Christ by the new birth. Because that has already taken place, we must live like it.

Old grave clothes are ok for a corpse, but they are completely inappropriate for wedding garments in preparation for the wedding supper of the Lamb. If you are the Bride then dress like one.Selah!
