Today I can complain because the weather is rainy or I can be thankful that the grass is getting watered for free.
Today I can feel sad that I don’t have more money or I can be glad that my finances encourage me to plan my purchases wisely and guide me away from waste.
Today I can grumble about my health or I can rejoice that I am alive.
Today I can lament over all that my parents didn’t give me when I was growing up or I can feel grateful that they allowed me to be born.
Today I can cry because roses have thorns or I can celebrate that thorns have roses.
Today I can mourn my lack of friends or I can excitedly embark upon a quest to discover new relationships.
Today I can whine because I have to go to work or I can shout for joy because I have a job to do.
Today I can complain because I have to go to school or eagerly open my mind and fill it with rich new tidbits of knowledge.
Today I can murmur dejectedly because I have to do housework or I can feel honored because the Lord has provided shelter for my mind, body and soul.
Today stretches ahead of me, waiting to be shaped. And here I am, the sculptor who gets to do the shaping.
Dear brothers and sisters, honor those who are your leaders in the Lord’s work. They work hard among you and give you spiritual guidance. Show them great respect and wholehearted love because of their work. 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation
Why not give this a try: Say thank you to the stock boys and girls as well as the cashiers at stores. They work hard for little money and receive little gratitude for their hard work.
Give your doctor and thank you card and a home made gift in appreciation for all their hard work. Think about it, they put in long hours and listen to nothing but complaining all day long. That is depressing.
Why not shake a cops hand and thank them for their difficult job. They get crapped on for doing their job and crapped on for not intervening when they cannot.
How about adding pastors, choirs masters, teachers to the list. And you know what?
In doing so, you will find you have a much happier life and mentality.
A grateful life is a joyous life. Joseph a son of Jehovah
Oh, and do not forget to say thank you to our Heavenly Poppa when He blesses you. As well, begin and end your day with saying thank you to Him for all the blessing great and small and see how good of a nights sleep you get.
Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation
Prayer: Please Jehovah ELOHIM YAKOL (God, the Most Able 2 Corinthians 9:8 ) enable my heart to be gracious and grateful to all those I encounter this day so as to emulate You and be an encourager. I humbly ask this in the name of the greatest encourager of all, Jesus Christ. Amen
The gift of love, the gift of joy, the gift of peace, these are the greatest gifts that can be given. They are given in abundance to all those in Christs family by our Heavenly loving Father to be shared with others.
May you be blessed with plentiful opportunities to share these with those around you today. Joseph a son of Jehovah

For he has rescued me from the kingdom of darkness and transferred me into the Kingdom of his dear Son,who purchased my freedom and forgave my sins. Colossians 1:13 – 14 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation
I believe in the Lord my God, and I will be able to stand firm. 2 Chronicles 20:20 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation
Some words have been changed to first person so it is us personally that He is speaking to. This makes them far more effective and powerful.
The Holy Spirit is the best cleaner of all. When we daily surrender our dark thoughts to Him that satan places there, He will sweep them clean out of our heads and replace them with the sweet brilliant light of Jehovahs love.
When there is a battle in our mind and it seems as if the devil is going to win, call in the Holy Spirit. The demons run with sparks flying off their feet when the Holy Spirit enters into the fray.
When it appears as if satan is going to win the battle for my mind, I call upon the ultimate Warrior to come to my defense, The Holy Spirit. Satan and his lackeys run like their pants are on fire when He enters the ring. Joseph a son of Jehovah
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Gador Milchamah (The Lord is Mighty in Battle Psalms 24:8 ) that You are the ultimate fighter and winner in the constant battle for my mind. I tremble to think of where it would go if not for Your protection. I exalt You in the name of the ultimate victorious Warrior King, Jesus Christ. Amen
May you be blessed with abundant joy in your heart filled with love and your life overflowing with laughter every day this year.Joseph a son of JehovahThis article and photo @ 2020 Joseph a son of Jehovah. All rights reserved. Used only by permission of the author.
Lazy people are soon poor Proverbs 10:4 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation
We are bombarded with feel good stories on the TV news of giving to help the poor, giving to help those with sicknesses and disease.
BUT, what is at the heart of the giver?
Do they genuinely give because of their concern or do they give to feel good and to be prideful on social media look at me, look at me. Or to brag to friends, family and co-workers? Do they participate to be a part of the crowd or because they are peer pressured to give?
Yes the Lord loves a cheerful giver BUT, we must first take it to Him in prayer where to give, how much to give and when to give. Then, we will be giving to please the Lord which is the only reason any Christian should give.
Give joyfully and thankfully to the Lord in abundance as a sacrifice of love and appreciation as He has given in abundance sometimes with great cost (like the cross) to you.
Give, but give to bring glory to Christ not to self Joseph a son of Jehovah
Why do you give?
Prayer:Thank you Jehovah Jireth (Genesis 22:14 The LORD Shall Provide) for blessing me with the tools and the opportunities to help those that are worthy of help. May these opportunities be a conduit to guide the needy into Your gracious loving arms. I praise You in the name of He who gave His blood for my redemption, Jesus Christ. Amen
May you be blessed with the gift of love, the gift of peace, the gift of joy. May you be blessed with numerous opportunities to share these gifts with others today. Joseph a son of Jehovah
Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. And give according to what you have, not what you don’t have. 2 Corinthians 8:12 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

Just as I have one hand open to receive my Beloved Jehovahs blessings, my other hand is open to sharing them with those in need. Joseph a son of Jehovah
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Jireh (God supplies) for blessing me with numerous opportunities to share with those in need. I praise You in the name of He who gave His blood for my salvation Jesus Christ. Amen
May your house be filled with joy in the morning and sweet dreams at night. May it be a home where love has come to live. Joseph a son of Jehovah
I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done. Psalms 9:1 the Holy Bible, New Living Testament
“How sharper than a serpent’s tooth it is to have a thankless child.” William Shakespeare
When I was an experienced tree planter, at the beginning of every season I took time to teach the rookies how to plant. There is a lot more to it than just putting a tree in the ground and takes about three years to learn. As we got paid per tree rooky wages were low compared to vets so it was a great advantage for them what was done for them. Usually only one out of every seven would thank me.
I imagine the odds are even lower for those that are thankful towards Jehovah for His blessing bot great and small.
How about you, are you in the majority or minority?
I am constantly thanking my Beloved very day.
And you know what?
It gives you a very positive outlook in life and a very positive attitude through out the day. If you desire big blessings from Jehovah try being thankful for the small ones. Joseph a son of Jehovah
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah-jireth (Genesis 22:14) – The LORD Shall Provide, for blessing me with ample provisions both great and small every day. I always desire to be grateful to You my loving Poppa for Your abundant provisions. In the name of He who provided salvation through His blood I thank you. Amen
May your house be filled with joy in the morning and sweet dreams at night. May it be a home where love has come to live. Joseph a son of Jehovah
Rejoice always and delight in your faith; be unceasing and persistent in prayer; in every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 The Holy Bible Amplified Version
Being persistent means to make it a habit.
Make it a habit to commune with our Beloved first thing in the morning.
Make it a habit to commune with Him through out the day.
Make it a habit to commune with Him before bed.
Make Him your choicest companion in which you share all of your hurts and dreams. Share with Him in your victory and defeats.
In each of these thank Jehovah. Thank Him that He listens to you.
Thank Him that He cares about you.
Thank Him that He always wants what is best for you (this is especially important in our defeats and when His answer for our dreams are not answered in the way in which we desire).
Have faith in His providence that He only wants what is best for you even when it does not seem like it to you.
Prayer does not change things but rather it changes me. Sincere prayer opens us up to Holy communion with our Beloved Father in Heaven. As we commune with Him our prayers are less self centred (gimme, gimme, gimme) and more Christ centred (Lord I desire to be like You.) and more personal, like a conversation between two loving friends. Joseph a son of Jehovah
Prayer: Thank you Jesus Pyyrand (Jesus my best friend) for blessing me with the Holy Spirit to teach me the proper manner in which to converse with You and to make it the most joyful habit I have. I Your wonderful name I pray. Amen.
Christ blesses us with love, peace and joy. May you be blessed with many opportunities to share these with others today.
“Behold, God, my salvation!I will trust and not be afraid,For the Lord Godis my strength and song;Yes, He has become my salvation.”Isaiah 12:2 The Holy Bible Amplified Version
This is especially relevant as our time of death comes nigh. The devil will come especially strong as the time to depart closes nigh. He will softly whisper subtle doubts in our minds if what we have lived for, sacrificed for and suffered for is real or is it really just a fairy tale.
At this time the Holy Spirit will come to our aid. He shall reminisce with us all the times Jehovah has preformed amazing feats both in our lives and through our lives. He shall remind us of the danger Jehovah walked us through. The times of trial and temptation when His strength guided us through this blazing fire. He shall remind us of Jehovahs gentle love that healed us of the deep slashes inflicted upon our hearts. He shall remind us of the amazing times of communion with Jehovah when every molecule in our bodies screamed with explosive love and joy. That this time that experience will last an eternity.
At this time we shall be filled with complete confidence in Jehovah and His promises unto us.
With our dying lips we shall thank Jehovah for the privilege of serving Him while in this fleshly body and hold out our weak trembling arms to embraced by our loving Heavenly Father as He joyfully welcomes us to the Heavenly home He has prepared for you, His child He loves so dearly.
Just as Jehovah guides our walk here on earth, so too shall He guide us to our Heavenly home and into His loving arms. Joseph a son of Jehovah
Prayer: Thank you Jehovah ‘Immeku (The Lord Is With You) for blessing Your darling children with reassurance that at the moment the breath of life in our fleshly bodies is extinguished you shall assign an angel to be instantaneously in the eternal presence of the the one who loves us as His most precious treasure, You. I exalt You in the name of my best friend with whom I yearn to spend an eternity walking with and talking with Jesus Christ. Amen
Whatever is beautiful, whatever is meaningful, whatever brings you joy, may you be blessed with an abundance of it this every day this year.
Do this in the fear of the Lord, faithfully and wholeheartedly. 2 Chronicles 19:9 Holy Bible Amplified Version
Many times during my walk with Christ He was leading me into unknown territory. He was guiding me to go places I did not want to go and guiding me to do things I had no clue of what I was doing.
During this process He was not only using me in service unto Him but was also teaching me the important lesson of trusting upon Him (which is what faith is).
When ever there was a situation that there was no knowledge on my behalf on how to complete the assignment He always blessed me with wisdom on how to accomplish it.
Whenever there was no resources to accomplish the task He provided. Whenever there was mental and physical exhaustion, He lead me into His peace and rest which strengthened me to get back up and continue on.
Whenever I wanted to quit, He encouraged me.
This ultimately brought us very close together and enlarged my trust in Him, appreciation of Him and thankfulness for His support. My love and respect for Him grew by little steps and leaps and bounds. Oh what a truly awesome God He truly is.
“Faith is not to get you out of a hard place but to change your heart in the hard place.” David Wilkerson
Whenever Christ leads you into the unknown and challenges you to do things you are not equipped to do, do not whine about the difficulties but thank Him for them. He is doing marvellous work in you and through you that you probably will not see until you are on the other side of the challenge.
Prayer: Thank you Holy Spirit‘Ori (the Lord is my Light) for lighting the path my Heavenly Father and Divine King has chosen for me to walk in obedience unto Them. I exalt You in the name of the King I love to serve Jesus Christ. Amen
May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.
The whole congregation of the Israelites [grew discontented and] murmured and rebelled against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness, and the Israelites said to them, Would that we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the pots of meat and ate bread until we were full; for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this entire assembly with hunger.” (To understand Israel’s rebellious behavior, it is important to grasp the contrast between life in Egypt and nomadic life in the wilderness. Despite the hardships of slavery survival was not an issue in Egypt, where they were guaranteed food and other necessities. But the desert wilderness was hostile and unforgiving, and survival was an art. Desert nomads needed to understand the wilderness in order to stay alive; they had to learn, among other things, how to protect themselves from the weather, where to find water and pasture, and how to find and prepare scarce food, or live primarily from what their livestock could provide them. So the Israelites viewed every new problem they faced as life-threatening. Instead of looking back and taking comfort from God’s earlier miracles, they doubted God’s ability and willingness to help them. Their fears and doubts subsequently came to be expressed as irrational anger toward Moses. ) Exodus 16:2-3 Holy Bible Amplified Version
How many of us ask Jehovah for something but are never satisfied?
We ask for a job but when we get one we do not like the work because it is too hard or it is too boring.
We ask for a place to live but it is too far from the bus stop or grocery store or park.
We ask for direction in life but it is not where we want to go.
We desire good Christian friends but can always find fault with them.
I think the real reason we are discontented is because of greed. We want the best and nothing less is good enough for us.
Jehovah blesses with what we need not always with what we want. Joseph son of Jehovah
That is the ultimate insult of ungratefulness and a huge slap in the face to our loving generous Father in Heaven. More so for those of us that have walked with Christ for any length of time and so can reflect back at His previous provisions for us. Peevish discontented minds will find fault with that which has no fault in it but that it is too good for them.
Those that might be very happy often make themselves very miserable by their discontents. Matthew Henry
Prayer: Please Jehovah Heseh (God is love) bless me to always have a grateful heart towards you and those around me for all the wonderful blessings You and those around me share with me every day. I ask this in the name of the greatest blessing of which I am eternally grateful for Jesus Christ. Amen.
May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.
