For Our Loved Ones

Everyone tried to touch him, because healing power went out from him, and he healed everyone. Luke 6:19 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

Oh Father, it is so frustrating to watch our elderly loved ones condemn themselves to constant injury because they are are stubborn and stupid (which is, may I add, selfish).

Now that they are old and their bodies frail their injuries are so much more serious when they commit these offences against their bodies. It causes untold pain and discomfort to them and makes my caring for them even more demanding.

Please send the Holy Spirit to sternly warn them to prevent these incidents from constantly recurring.

I know a certain woman that is forbidden from eating certain foods. Some of these she used to love to eat. When ever she attempts to eat one of them she is warned it will make her sick. She stubbornly refuses to listen. In no more than one minute after taking her first bite, she is puking her eye balls out.

Sadly I see incident like this with almost all seniors I have come in contact with- unless, they are living in seniors homes.

As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool repeats his foolishness. Proverbs 26:11 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

Most seniors I have met are the most foolish folks I have ever encountered. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Please Jehovah YAHWEH Ropheka (God our healer Jeremiah 30:17 ) my Love, heal those in my care of their stubbornness and stupidity which only brings pain and grief to not only themselves but also to those who love them and are caring for them.

I humbly request this in the name of He who healed the impossible illnesses, Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love fill your heart today and every day. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Do Have Powerful Effects on Others.

For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:9 The Holy Bible, The New Living Translation

I thought this, He has that planned.

One day I felt a strong desire to go to a photo shop and have a lot of positive affirmation cards made out using my photo’s and Bible verses added into them. It was assumed that they would be read every morning to get me off to a positive start to the day.

A few weeks after they had been printed the corona virus hit. At the same time some members of moms church began going through some very difficult times as well as facing the loneliness of isolation.

I convinced mom to drive me to their dwelling place (I have never had a drivers licence) and I would place the card in their mail boxes. Mom added a little gift like a box of chocolates.

After reading the card and the accompanying poem I wrote they called up mom just bawling uncontrollably. Thanking her. The cards gave them a lot of comfort and encouragement.

We did the same for shut in seniors that could not get out shopping (there are huge line ups at all the grocery stores so I would go do their shopping for them while mom sat in the vehicle (her health will not allow her to stand for a hour in the line up).

Now is the time for brothers and sisters in Christs holy family to come together and help each other.

I have gotten mom to make a list and call members of her church every day and just talk with them. Now other members are calling each other and encouraging each other following moms lead. It has a incredible effect on bother the callers and the receivers. This makes us stronger and more united. Those shut ins (especially those in seniors homes where visitors are not allowed and they are confined to their rooms) really appreciate it.

TAKING IT TO OTHERS

Even the simplest acts of love can and do have powerful effects on others. Especially in these difficult frightening times. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you El Marom (Micah 6:6 GOD Most High ) for blessing me with Your guiding hand using Your wisdom which constantly amazes me. I am honoured my Love that You have used me in such a wonderful manner.                                                                                                                                           May many reading this be blessed to follow suit.                                                                                           I give thank and ask in the name of He who constantly confused the wise in His walk on this planet, Jesus Christ. Amen

The gift of love, the gift of joy, the gift of peace, these are the greatest gifts that can be given. They are given in abundance to all those in Christs family by our Heavenly loving  Father to be shared with others. May you be blessed with plentiful opportunities to share these with those around you today. Joseph a son of Jehovah

You Must Clothe Yourselves With

LOVING TO EACH OTHER

Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Colossians 3:12 Holy Bible, New Living Translation

There is too little of tender hearted mercy today. Tender hearted mercy means that our hearts ache when we see someone in need. We make a commitment to help them where they cannot help themselves (do not mistake that for refuse to help themselves. If drug addicts refuse to take the steps necessary to destroy the habit all you help is nothing more than a crutch to them which does not help them). This is not a one day event or token kindness like giving to the food bank (although there is nothing wrong with that) but rather a long term commitment.

So if there is a youngster that is having problems in life us older generation should come along side of them and offer them our experiences, both good and bad (yes it is good for the younger generation to hear of our failures to help them see that we were just like them).

We must exhibit kindness, especially to the elder generation. If a senior needs someone to cut their grass or shovel the snow from their driveway we are to offer to help them (be careful not to be abused though. Just because they are seniors does not mean they cannot be manipulative, indeed most seniors I know are very manipulative.

That is why it is so important to pray to Jehovah to guide you to where your help is appreciated).

We must be there to strengthen the weak when temptation comes a knocking at their door. We have all opened that door when we should not have from time to time so we know what they are going through.

Resolve to be tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving, and tolerant of the weak and the wrong. Sometime in life you will have been all of these. Lloyd Shearer

Prayer: Please Jehovah Heseh (God is love) bless this child of Yours to emulate Your love with all those I encounter today so as to be a light to guide them to the most incredible love affair there ever can be or will. I humbly request this in the name of He who showed His supreme love for me on the cross Jesus Christ. Amen

May the light of Christs love shine brightly in your heart today and every day

What is the Differance?

Peace I leave with you; My [perfect] peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. John 14:27 Holy Bible Amplified Version

What is the differance?

The peace Jesus blesses us with is that we have a loving Father in Heaven that cares about us and cares for us. No matter how fierce the storms we know He is walking through them with us. It can never be taken from us.

The peace the world looks for is being financially secure. That can be taken from you in a moment with a job loss or bankruptcy. A house, which can be destroyed by fire or natural disaster. Our health, which can be taken from us with one diagnosis from the doctor. Our wits which can be taken from us in an accident or with something like Alzheimer Disease. And of course what good does all this material wealth do for us when we age and our bodies and minds break down, when all of our loved ones and friends have either deserted as we live out our final days in a seniors home where each moment is a living hell of loneliness and sadness?

With us Christians we know Jesus will never desert us and always loves and comforts us.

Doing a lot of volunteer work at a seniors home and watching my parents generation in their elder years, I have seen both sides of this coin and know it to be true.

What good does this material wealth do you as you are terrified as you are drawing our final breath and are going into the unknown (but in reality you know you are going into Hell)?

Christians are blessed with peace in our final breath with the knowledge that our Loving Father will send an angel to us to guide us to our Heavenly home while those in the world are terrified as they know there will be an angel to drag them to the gates of Hell and throw them into eternal damnation and torment.

Doing a lot of volunteer work at a seniors home and watching my parents generation in their elder years, I have seen both sides of this coin and know it to be true.

When we live moment by moment in Christs love, that is our golden years. Joseph a son of Jehovah

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah-Shalom (The Lord blesses with Peace) for blessing me with peace through all my trials sorrows and tribulations. It is not only a calming peace and comforting peace but a peace that blesses with strength to not only endure but to prosper. I exalt you in the name of the Prince of Peace Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the gentle assurance of Jesus’ sweet love encompass you today and every day.

Abound With Blessings.

COMPLETE DEDITACATION

A faithful man will abound with blessings. Proverbs 28:20 New King James Version

In the precious article I discussed The Gentle Persuasive Approach course I took. Today I will give examples of how it helped me interact with seniors that I visit at a local seniors home.

Yesterday I prayed for the Lord to bless me in my service to Him while doing volunteer work at a seniors home. We share an hour together singing Christian hymns on Sunday.

A resident was irritated and confused and I gently got him back to his room. He could have gotten violent.

I shared a video of traditional Korean songs I downloaded with an activity lady that works with her. She does not speak English and nobody speaks Korean.

There is a re resident who never talks that I got to sing hymns with me during the service.

I comforted an ailing woman who was a little depressed (tis the season) and bed ridden.

I brought out two residents in the final stages of Alzheimer’s Disease to listen to the hymns which they really enjoyed. Most times they refuse to leave their room.

The ice storm that threatened our area held off until I got home.

I did not lose my temper with mom watching TV (I hate the idiot box) while I had to break into the washroom. Mom closed the door behind her and for the first time in forty years it locked. I tried unsuccessfully to climb through the window to open the door but because of the type of window it would not open wide enough. I had to get a chisel and break the door knob without breaking the door it get it open.

I do not for one moment believe any of this was neither by chance nor by just my skills but were all a blessing from our Father in Heaven.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Emanah (God is faithful) for so richly blessing me this day in order to bring glory and honour to Your most beautiful name. I extol You in the name of He who empowered His faithful disciples to be a blessing to others Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus sweet love bless you today and every day
