The Godly Are Bettered By

WE ARE PURIFIED

Through Him we also have access by faith into this [remarkable state of] grace in which we [firmly and safely and securely] stand. Let us rejoice in our hope and the confident assurance of [experiencing and enjoying] the glory of [our great] God [the manifestation of His excellence and power]. And not only this, but [with joy] let us exult in our sufferings and rejoice in our hardships, knowing that hardship (distress, pressure, trouble) produces patient endurance; and endurance, proven character (spiritual maturity); and proven character, hope and confident assurance [of eternal salvation]. Romans 5:2-4 The Holy Bible Amplified Version

It is in the hard times we learn the most and mature the most as we are guided by the Holy Spirit. We do not become bitter and self pitying like those in the world. Rather, we rejoice in them afterwards because we can see Jehovahs strong, secure hand leading us through them.

It is in our sufferings that Jehovah reveals the most of His love and healing which draws us ever closer to Him which is the only way for that to occur. We do not pout and play the blame game like those in the world because we understand that it occurred for our betterment.

Each of these brings stronger confidence in our loving Heavenly Fathers providence in every part of our lives. Because we are His children we always have access to Him and He is never too busy for us but takes an active role in our lives.

For these blessings we should continually praise Him and rejoice over Him continually every day.

When we know that the angel of death shall come a calling (and I believe that Jehovah always alerts us that our time will soon be up, even though we do not know the hour or the day. This is because of what has been witnessed in the palliative care in hospitals and volunteering in seniors homes) Jehovah shall cause us to reflect back on our walk with Him and blesses us with assurance of the Heavenly home that is awaiting us.

As the wicked are hurt by the best things, so the godly are bettered by the worst.” — William Jenkyn

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah ‘Uzam (The Lord is our Strength in Trouble) for strengthening me, comforting me and encouraging me through lo the many trials, tribulations and sorrows that have come my way in my walk with You. I would never had made it without You gentle strong hand supporting me. I praise You in the name of He who strengthened the weak as He walked amongst us Jesus Christ. Amen

Wishing you a house full of sunshine, hearts full of cheer and love that grows deeper each day of the year. Welsh blessing

How Is Your Fort?

“The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior from violent people you save me. 2 Samuel 22:3 New International Version

Now do you notice the important key for protection in this verse?

The Lord is my fortress.

So if a strong enemy is attacking you and you are out on a field how are you going to be protected?
Is it not better to be in a strong and safe fort?

So how can you expect to be protected by Gods fortress if you are in the world and not in His fort?

To be in Gods fort means to have a daily loving and obedient relationship with Him.

So if God asks you to go to Sally Street and you say no, you want to go to George Street and when you get to George Street
and find trouble, why should you expect Gods help? The same is with your relationship.

If the only time you talk with God is when you are a spoiled brat that only talks with Him when you want something from Him, why should He listen to you?

Where as, if you have a loving relationship with Him, can you expect nothing less than protection in His unconquerable fortress?

Thank you Jesus Pyrrand (Jesus my friend) for being my best friend and unconquerable fortress I can always take shelter in. In Your holy and strong name I give thanks. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
