That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment Matthew 5:21-22 King James Version
I tell you that anyone who is angry with a brother or sisterwill be subject to judgment. Matthew 5:22 New International Version.
This is why it is important to cross reference our Bibles.
In the King James where as it is missing in the New International Version.
Now concerning this passage
Just because we are Christians does not mean we do not have emotions like everybody else.
For anyone to try to manipulate you into feeling bad because you are angry with them for a just cause is destructive to you in your spiritual life, in your mental life and in your physical life.
Holding in anger is destructive and must be dealt with appropriately. Sometimes that may means seeing a councilor.
If someone intentionally says or does something to anger you (it is noted that wives know the buttons to push to set off their husbands which I heard on a broadcast on Focus on the Family) then they need to get counseling because they have serious mental problems.
From my experience if they refuse to either stop it or get counseling then I stay as far away from them as I can get because they bring me nothing but grief.
Prayer: Please Jehovah Yeshua (God our rescuer or deliverer) deliver me from the grips of unwarranted anger and from those who intentionally get their perverted pleasure in intentionally angering others. I sincerely ask this in the name of He who walked away from the scribes s when they tried to bait Him, Jesus Christ. Amen.
May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
